Suitcases . Cold . Silence . Coffee with alcohol . Head spinning . Lifting weights . Checking phone . Bed empty .

Harry opened his eyes , his arm instinctively moved to the side of the bed . Empty .

He shot up and threw the covers off , sending them flying to the floor . He jumped out of bed and switched the bed lamps on , his eyes wide with concern at the sight of the empty room . He snapped his head in the direction of the bathroom , but the lights were off .

Fuck . Fuck . Where is he . Fuck .

He checked the closet-room but it was empty aswell , making his head spin .

No . No .

He walked out of the room , his strides long and hurried . Lounge empty . Guest rooms empty .

Then he heard faint sounds from downstairs . He skipped down to the first floor and went to the kitchen , where the sounds came from . His hammering heart slowed down at the sight of Louis sitting on the counter , holding a mug in one hand and his phone in the other , a jar of cookies next to him .

Louis looked up and gave him a smile , "Hey . What are you doing up ?" He frowned when he took in Harry's state , making him put his phone and mug down on the counter , "Hazzie ?"

Harry rubbed his eyes , then down his face , before he walked over to him . Louis held his arms open , wrapping them around Harry's shoulders and pulling him into a cuddle .

"Everything okay ?" Louis whispered as Harry clung onto him , arms around his waist and face in his shoulder .

"Better now ." Harry said back just as quietly . "Woke up and you weren't there . Got me worried ."

Louis moved closer and kissed his head , "Sorry . I couldn't sleep , so I got up to make myself some hot chocolate ." He rubbed his hands up and down Harry's massive back , scratching his nails softly along his spine .

They stayed cuddled up for a while longer , before Louis nudged Harry to look at him . He pressed a gentle kiss to his lips , "Let's get back in bed ?"

Harry kissed him again before helping him off the counter , he put the cookie jar back in the pantry while Louis rinsed his mug in the sink .

Louis grabbed his phone from the counter and linked his arm with Harry's as they walked upstairs back to their bedroom , his eyebrows raised in surprise when he saw the blankets on the floor .

Harry silently put them back on the bed , moving them back for Louis to get in . Louis sat under the blankets , waiting for Harry to get in with him and turn the lights off before laying down on the pillows .

He shifted closer until he was sharing the pillow with Harry , his arm laid across Harry's chest . "Did it make you panic because I wasn't in bed with you ?" He whispered , frowning when Harry nodded .

"I'm sorry ." He pressed a light kiss to his cheek , Harry turned his head sideways to brush the tips of their noses together , "Don't be . Let's get some sleep ."

Louis pressed one last peck to his lips before he closed his eyes , his hand fisted around the collar of Harry's shirt .

"No ." Louis grabbed the mug from Harry's hand , "You've had two cups already and it's nine a.m , no more coffee . Drink water ." He put the mug away and fetched Harry a water bottle .

"Baby I need it to focus ." Harry reached for a new mug but Louis grabbed Harry's hand and laced their fingers together , "This is not healthy Hazzie . You always lecture me about healthy eating and drinking , and you've already had two cups of coffee by now . Please just drink water for now , I'll help you focus ."

Harry squeezed Louis' hand in his , "Baby , --"

"No . Come on now ." Louis tugged gently on his arm , he took Harry with him to his home office . He sat Harry on his chair and put the water bottle in front of him , "Drink this while I get a chair ."

"You don't need a chair ." Harry placed a gentle hand on the back of his thigh , Louis poked his cheek , "Nice try , you wouldn't be able to focus ." He smiled and moved to grab a chair , bringing it next to Harry and sitting down .

Harry took a few gulps from the bottle and put it down , then moved to focus on his computer . Louis' small hand rubbed up and down his back as he worked quietly , he twisted his neck every short while and drank more of his water .

The computer screen was starting to hurt his eyes , he leaned his elbows on the desk as he rubbed his eyes and face .

"Want to take a break ? I can grab us a snack ." Louis suggested , running his fingers through his hair at the back of his head . Harry shook his head , "I only have one report to finish for today , I'll finish this and then I'm done ."

"How long before you finish ?" Louis asked , Harry sighed out , "Not too long ."

Louis stood up from his chair and pressed a kiss to Harry's head , "I'll be right back ."

Ten minutes later Louis opened the office door , "Hazzie ."

Harry stood up from his chair and walked out of the office , Louis caressed his cheek , "Are you done ?"

"Yes ." Harry nodded once , leaning into Louis' small hand . He followed Louis to the lounge , where on the table there were two plates of toasted bread with cream cheese on them , a plate of crookedly cut up vegetables and two glasses of orange juice .

Harry kissed Louis' temple before they sat down to eat , the TV playing a random movie that was channeling . Harry let Louis feed him a cherry tomato , smiling at the sight of Louis' cute grin .

After they ate Harry took their dishes to the kitchen , when he returned to the lounge he saw Louis under a soft blanket , "Naptime ?"

"Scoot over ." Harry lifted the blanket , Louis moved a bit sideways to make more room for Harry , giggling when Harry wrapped himself around his smaller figure .

Going back to the office made Harry tense . He drove there with Louis in the car with him , as he promised to be there on his first day back after taking a week off going there .

Louis called Liam two days before Harry went back ; he asked him to make the office look presentable again . Get rid of the coffee and alcohol , take out the gym equipment , clean out the room behind the shelves .

Harry parked the car in the basement garage , the couple stepped out and quickly reached their arms around for each other . They walked together to the elevator , Harry swiped his card and pressed the button of his office's floor level .

Louis stood in front of him with his arms around his middle under his blazer , "Everything will be okay Hazzie ."

Harry held his face as he kissed him , "I believe you ." He kissed him for longer , until they reached their floor .

Laura greeted them with a smile and 'good morning' , the couple greeted her back and went into the office .

Louis stuck around for an hour , made sure Harry was adapting back into his routine , before he walked over to him and cupped his cheeks , "I'm going to check on my pups , okay ?"

Harry abandoned his work and fully turned to face Louis , his hands resting on his thighs in a gentle grip . "Now ?"

"Yeah . I haven't seen them in ... well , almost four months . I know Liam took good care of them , but I want to go see them myself ." He traced his thumbs on his cheeks under his eyes . "I'll send you cute pictures of us . I'll even film a video of their reaction to seeing me after so long ." He gave him a smile .

Harry nodded , eyes locked with Louis' , "Okay ." His hands were subconsciously tightening their grip on Louis , yet never in a painful way - the grip stayed gentle .

Louis noticed , he leaned down and pressed kisses to Harry's lips , letting out an uncontrollable giggle when he was pulled into Harry's lap .

"Hazzie ." He pulled back from the kisses with a smile , "I'll be back later . Or , if you finish early , you can join me ."

Harry nodded and kissed him for longer , unwillingly removing his arms from around Louis . Louis pressed one last sweet kiss to his lips before he left the office .

Fifteen minutes later Harry's phone buzzed several times , a smile spread on his lips when he saw they were videos and pictures from Louis . He watched the videos of the dogs giving Louis kisses , making him grin and giggle . Then he went through the selfies Louis sent of himself with the dogs , letting out a chuckle at a funny picture of Rocco playfully biting Louis' face and making him scrunch up .

He took a deep breath and put his phone down , he grabbed a water bottle and drank half of it in one go , before throwing himself into work again .

"Cheer up alreadyyy ." Louis grabbed Harry's shoulders and shook him side to side a bit , Harry only gave him a smile , "You're cute ." He put his phone down on the dresser connected to the charger .

Louis was on his knees on the bed mattress , he crossed his arms over his chest and pouted , "Hazzie I barely saw you smiling and laughing ." He then gave him a pointed look - or at least tried to . "If you don't cheer up I'll make you ."

Harry smirked as he crawled on the bed on his knees aswell , "Make me ."

Louis gaped at him , before he threw himself ontop of Harry , "Take this !" He knocked them both down . He quickly sat up straddling Harry's waist and dug his fingers gently under his arms , going to his sides and stomach aswell .

Harry let him poke and prod him , he wasn't ticklish but the sight of Louis trying so hard to make him laugh made him smile up at him and chuckle , "You're adorable ."

"Why aren't you laughing ." Louis whined , he tickled his neck and tried his sides again , "Hazzie ." He whined and landed a light punch to his chest out of despair , then pressed his palms to the spot he punched .

"It was a nice try , I'll admit ." Harry ran his hands up and down Louis' forearms , "But you also got yourself into trouble ." He tickled up Louis' sides , grinning at his adorable laugh and giggles .

Louis curled up still ontop of him , before rolling off to the side to try to get away . Harry rolled over to hover above him , hands crawling under his shirt to get his tummy .

"Tell me you love me ." Harry laughed along , "Tell me you love me and I'll stop ."

"Th-That's blackmailing !" Louis called through giggles , letting out a squeal when Harry went for the spot at the bottom of his ribs .

"I l-love you ! Hazzie I love you !"

Harry stopped , he grinned down at Louis and pressed his palms to the mattress on either side of him , leaning down to kiss his stretched cheeks . "I love you too baby ."

Louis panted , his arms were wrapped around himself for protection , "One day I'll find your tickle spot and I'll make you giggle like a child ." He poked his chest .

"I'm sure you will ." Harry kissed around his face , "In the meantime I'll make you giggle like a child ." He pressed his face to his neck and nibbled softly behind his ear , smiling when he made Louis giggle .

Louis pushed him away , instead cupping his face , "Can we cuddle now with no more tickles ?"

Harry bit his lower lip , "Was hoping I could make you feel good , baby ." He moved to fit himself between Louis' knees , "Can I treat you ?"

Louis shivered at the feeling of Harry's fingertips tracing his hip , their noses brushing together . His cheeks turned pink as he nodded , "Please ."

"I love you ." Harry cooed quietly and kissed him , Louis pressed his palms to his ribcage , "I love you ."
