Chapter 88
Y/N's punches gradually subsided as she clung onto Jimin, her sobs gradually turning into gentle whimpers.
Jimin held her tightly, allowing her to release her pent-up emotions, understanding the weight of her guilt and regret. In that moment, he made a silent promise to himself and to her – to be her anchor, her support, and to help her find the strength to move forward.
As he held Y/N in his arms, he could feel her gradually calming down. He gently lifted her from the sofa and carried her upstairs to the guest room. He carefully laid her down on the soft bed, tucking her in with gentle care. The room was adorned with comforting hues, creating an ambiance of tranquility.
Y/N's phone continued to ring persistently, Jimin knew that Y/N was in no condition to attend to any calls at the moment. He glanced at the device, contemplating whether or not to answer it.
"Y/N, it's late. Where are you? Are you still with Hobi?"
"She's at my house."
Shin Ji seemed to not recognize the voice and asked: "Who is this?"
"Park Jimin."
"W-what?" Shin Ji was surprised because Jimin had disappeared for two years, how could Y/N be in his house?
But Jimin ended the call and set the phone aside.
Resuming his position by her side, he watched over her. "Y/N, we couldn't have known what would happen. Don't blame yourself, we're here now, and we'll do everything in our power to make it right. We'll be there for him, together."
As Y/N remained silent, lost in her thoughts and emotions, Jimin sat by her side, understanding the weight of her self-blame. Despite his efforts to console her, he recognized that healing takes time and words alone may not be enough. He sighed softly, realizing that she needed space to process her feelings.
Jimin tucked her gently under the blanket, ensuring she was comfortable. He dimmed the lights, allowing a soothing glow to permeate the space. The silence of the room enveloped them both, offering a moment of respite from the tumultuous emotions of the evening.
"It's late now. Just try to get some rest here tonight."
Leaving the room, Jimin closed the door quietly behind him, understanding that she needed time alone with her thoughts. He knew there were unanswered questions, both for Y/N and himself, but he also recognized that pushing her to talk at this moment wouldn't be helpful.
With a heavy heart, Jimin moved through the house, finding solace in the solitude. He couldn't help but reflect on the events of the evening, realizing the profound impact they had on their lives and the journey that lay ahead.
The weight of responsibility settled upon his shoulders, but he was determined to support Y/N and their son through this difficult time.
As he retreated to his own space, he contemplated the steps they would need to take to rebuild their shattered family. It wouldn't be easy, but he was committed to being there for her and their son every step of the way.
YN wiped her tears and regained some composure, a glimmer of determination shone in her eyes. She knew she needed to gather her strength for the sake of her son, Joon Min. She stood up, lifting the blanket from her shoulders, and slipped on her slippers.
Walking with a renewed purpose, she made her way to Joon Min's room. She gently opened the door, revealing the sight of her son curled up in bed. She sat beside Joon Min's bed, she felt a mix of emotions swirling within her. She longed to reach out and touch her son, to comfort him in her embrace. However, she also understood that Joon Min's experiences had left him scarred, and his reaction might be like before.
She whispered softly, hoping her words would reach his subconscious. "Joonie, my sweet boy, Mommy is here. I know it's been a long time, and you've been through so much. But please know that I love you, and I'll always be here for you."
With renewed determination, Y/N whispered words of comfort and love into the room, hoping they would reach Joon Min's heart. "You're safe now, my love. We're going to help you heal and create a new beginning together. You don't have to carry this burden alone anymore. Mommy and Daddy will do everything we can to make things right."
Tears welled up in Y/N's eyes again, but this time they were tears of hope. She believed in the strength of their bond, and she was determined to rebuild their family, brick by brick.
As the night grew deeper, Y/N stayed by Joon Min's side, watching over him with unwavering love and dedication. She decided not to sleep in Joon Min's bed to avoid any potential disturbances or triggers for him. She understood that he needed his space and time to adjust to her presence again.
Instead, she settled herself on the sofa. She closed her eyes, allowing her exhaustion to wash over her.
Jimin actually noticed Y/N went to Joon Min's room because he was drinking downstairs. Looking at her figure, he placed his glass down and stared at his watch. He set his glass down and decided to follow her upstairs, quietly making his way towards Joon Min's room, carrying a soft blanket in his hands.
Jimin heard faint voice coming from inside. He hesitated for a moment, unsure of whether he should enter or give her privacy. He wanted to respect her space but also wanted to ensure that everything was alright.
Taking a deep breath, he gently pushed the door open and peeked inside. There, he saw Y/N sitting beside Joon Min's bed, her face illuminated by a soft bedside lamp. The sight tugged at his heartstrings, as he witnessed the scene.
Jimin waited for a while, before he quietly approached the sofa where Y/N had fallen asleep. Carefully, he draped the blanket over her, tucking it around her gently to provide warmth and comfort. With a final glance at her, he quietly left the room, making his way back to his own.
Y/N woke up in the morning, feeling a sense of warmth and comfort surrounding her. As she opened her eyes, she noticed the blanket that had been draped over her. The realization dawned upon her that it must have been Jimin who had covered her with it.
A mix of emotions filled her heart as she thought about his gesture. It was a small act of kindness, but it held a deeper meaning for her. It spoke of Jimin's concern for her well-being and his desire to provide comfort, even in the midst of their complicated circumstances.
Y/N rose from the sofa and folded the blanket. She glanced out of the window and noticed that it was still dark outside. Winter mornings often brought a serene and quiet atmosphere, and this morning was no exception.
Her thoughts drifted to Jimin and their son. The revelations about Joon Min's past had shaken her to the core, reminding her of the pain he had endured during their time apart. She couldn't help but feel a deep sense of responsibility and guilt for the hardships he had faced.
As the first light of dawn began to break through the horizon, Y/N made a silent promise to herself. She vowed to do everything within her power to ensure a better future for her son. She would be there for him, to support him, and to help him heal from the scars of his past.
With determination in her heart, Y/N walked towards the window. She watched as the sky slowly transformed, transitioning from darkness to shades of pink and orange. It was a reminder that new beginnings were possible, even after the darkest of nights.
As the sun finally rose, casting its warm glow over the world, Y/N felt a renewed sense of hope. She knew that the path ahead would be challenging, but she was ready to face it. The love she had for her son was unwavering, and she was determined to create a safe and nurturing environment for him.
With a deep breath, she turned away from the window, ready to embrace the new day. The journey towards healing and rebuilding their family had just begun, and she was committed to giving it her all.
Y/N walked over to Joon Min's bed, gazing at his peaceful sleeping form. Leaning down, she pressed a gentle kiss on his forehead, her lips lingering for a moment before pulling away. She didn't want to disturb his slumber; he needed all the rest he could get.
Y/N felt a surge of gratitude as she opened the fridge and found it stocked with fresh ingredients and food. It was a relief to see that Auntie Wang had taken care of things. She knew she wanted to make something special for Joon Min, something that would bring a smile to his face and let him know that she was there for him.
She pulled out the ingredients she needed and began preparing Joon Min's favorite breakfast. As Y/N was putting the finishing touches on the breakfast, she heard the sound of footsteps approaching the kitchen. She turned around to find Auntie Wang. There was a warm smile on her face as she greeted her.
"Good morning, Ms Song. I see you're making Little Master's favorite breakfast. He's going to be thrilled," Auntie Wang said kindly.
Y/N returned the smile, grateful for Auntie Wang's presence. "Good morning, Auntie Wang. Yes, I thought I would make his favorite breakfast this morning. I hope he likes them."
Auntie Wang nodded approvingly. "I'm sure he will." She eyed the food, "Oh right, you made this for Mr Park?"
Y/N nodded.
"Okay then Ms, I will go upstairs to check if Little Master is awake."
Y/N stared at the big window in the kitchen, she really wanted to do it herself but she understood it's better to not push it. She understood that it was important to respect Joon Min's boundaries and let Auntie Wang handle the situation for now. She walked into the dining area and set the table with a delicious breakfast.
Y/N glanced up as Jimin entered the dining room, clad in his sportswear, slightly out of breath from his jog. She couldn't help but notice his tired expression and the faint bags under his eyes. She knew he had been working hard between work and taking care of Joon Min.
She looked at Jimin and softly spoke, "Jimin, I've prepared breakfast for both you and Joonie." She paused. "I need you to promise me something."
Jimin looked at her, his gaze filled with curiosity and anticipation. "What is it?"
She took a deep breath, gathering her thoughts. "I want to spend time with Joonie this afternoon and evening. Please, Jimin, let me be with him. I've missed him so much, and I want to be there for him."
Jimin's expression softened as he listened to her heartfelt request. "He is also your son. If you want to see him, you don't need my permission."
Y/N took a moment to compose herself before making her request. "In case you're not at home, could you please give me the key or the password to the door?"
"You know the password."
Y/N was taken aback at his statement, how could she know the password?
"Your birthday."
Auntie Wang didn't know what happened last night. She looked at Joon Min with concern, noticing his reaction to seeing Y/N. She held him close, understanding that something must have happened to trigger his emotional distress.
Y/N's heart ached at the sight of her son's vulnerability.
Y/N chose not to approach Joon Min to avoid triggering him further, so she could gently excuse herself from the situation. Understanding that her presence at that moment might be overwhelming for Joon Min, she decided to give him space and time to recover from his emotional distress.
"I will go home then."
Auntie Wang observed the stiffness between Y/N and Jimin during their interaction, understanding that their divorce had taken a toll on their relationship. She had witnessed their love and happiness, so seeing the current state of affairs saddened her. "You won't be staying for breakfast, Ms?"
Y/N smiled gratefully at Auntie Wang's offer but declined, saying, "No, Auntie Wang. I should be heading home. I'll be back in the afternoon and evening to check on Joonie and cook for him. I want to make sure he has a good meal."
As she was preparing to leave, Jimin quickly stopped her and said, "It's not easy to find a taxi around here, especially at this hour. Let me take you home. Just give me a moment to change and we can leave together."
Y/N was taken aback by his offer but nodded appreciatively. "Thank you, Jimin. That would be helpful."
Jimin hurriedly went upstairs to change while Y/N couldn't resist the urge to peek into the dining room and catch a glimpse of Joon Min. She quietly approached the doorway and observed him from a distance.
As Y/N stood by the doorway, her eyes fixed on Joon Min, Auntie Wang approached her with a plate of food and a pair of chopsticks. "Ms, just eat a little bit..."
Y/N gently shook her head, her attention still focused on Joon Min. "It's alright, Auntie Wang."
Auntie Wang studied Y/N's expression, her eyes filled with understanding. Placing a hand on her shoulder, she spoke softly, "I know it's hard for you to see him like this, but please believe me when I say that Little Master will recover. It will take time, but with love and patience, he will find his way back."
Y/N's voice came out as a quiet whisper, filled with a mix of hope and determination. "Yes, he will," she affirmed, her eyes shimmering with unshed tears. She took a deep breath, gathering her resolve, and silently made a promise to herself. Y/N knew that it wouldn't be an easy journey. But she was determined to do everything within her power to support Joon Min, to help him heal from the scars of the past.
A few minutes later, Jimin returned downstairs, now dressed in his work attire. He grabbed his car key, Y/N noticed him and followed him out.
Jimin stood in front of the door, his fingers gently tapping the keypad. Y/N watched him intently, her eyes widening with surprise as she realized the password he entered was indeed her birthday.
Jimin turned to Y/N, he could sense her curiosity, and he preemptively addressed her unspoken question. "Are you wondering why I used your birthday?" Jimin began, his voice tinged with a touch of uncertainty.
He didn't wait for her answer: "I'm also wondering the same."
Before Jimin returned to Seoul from Singapore, he had entrusted people to search for the perfect house for him and Joon Min. When he finally arrived at the house, the real estate agent asked him to set the door password. As Jimin contemplated the numbers, his mind fixated on one specific combination: Y/N's birthday. Perhaps it was the only set of numbers that seemed to resonate with him, symbolizing a connection to the past and the hope for a future.
The cold air outside embraced them as they made their way to Jimin's car. As they got into the car, Y/N settled into the passenger seat, her mind filled with a whirlwind of emotions.
As Jimin stopped his black car in front of the Song residence, Shin Ji, who had been awake, noticed Y/N stepping out of the car. However, she couldn't see the driver from her vantage point inside the house. Concerned, she rushed to the door and opened it.
Shin Ji remembered last night's call when Jimin answered Y/N's phone. She could surely guess it was Park Jimin.
Y/N went inside and greeted her. "Ma."
"Was it Jimin who sent you home?"
Y/N was startled. She was so immersed in Joon Min's situation, she forgot to give her a call. But hearing her, she knew she probably called her and Jimin answered it so she just nodded.
In her mind, she thought Jimin was dead. Her eyes widened in surprise and confusion. "But I thought... I thought something happened to him."
A mix of emotions swirled within her. She hadn't expected Jimin to be back but it seemed that her daughter was destined to be with that man. In her heart, she wished for Y/N to find happiness with someone ordinary and simple, someone who wouldn't bring the complexities and challenges that Jimin seemed to carry with him.
She knew that it was difficult to stay with a man like Jimin forever, but the most important thing was that she didn't want Y/N to get hurt again. However, she also knew that nobody could change their feelings and that Y/N's heart belonged to Jimin.
"I know, Ma. I thought so too. But he's here. He's alive," she whispered softly.
Shin Ji nodded. "It's good that he is back." She gazed at Y/N. "What about Joonie? How is he?"
Y/N took a deep breath and decided it was time to open up to her mother about everything that had happened to Joon Min in the past two years. She sat down with her mom and began recounting the painful and difficult journey that their son had gone through.
As she spoke, her mom listened attentively, her expression shifting from surprise to sadness. Y/N shared the details of Joon Min's time in the orphanage, the abusive situation he had faced, and the scars both visible and invisible that he carried with him.
Tears welled up in Shin Ji's eyes as she listened to the heartbreaking story. She reached out and held Y/N's hand, offering comfort and support. "Oh, Y/N...I can't even imagine what Joonie must have endured."
Y/N nodded, her voice filled with a mixture of sorrow and determination. "We're going to do everything we can to help him heal and rebuild his life. I won't let him go through this alone."
Shin Ji squeezed her hand gently.
Y/N took a deep breath, gathering her thoughts before shifting the conversation. She looked into her mom's eyes and spoke with a firm yet gentle tone. "Ma, I already cleared it up with Hoseok and I'm asking you to not look for a blind date for me anymore. Right now, my priority is Joonie. I just want to be fully present for him, to support him through his healing process."
Shin Ji sighed before nodding understandingly, her eyes filled with empathy. "I understand, Y/N." Her mom reached out and held her hand. "I know you'll do everything you can for Joonie, and I'm here for both of you. Just remember that it's okay to take care of yourself too. If you ever need someone to talk to or a shoulder to lean on, I'm always here."
She patted Y/N's shoulder. "Take a rest and change your clothes. We should take things slow for Joonie, he will definitely get better."
-
Krystal was eager to see Joon Min after hearing about his return. She expressed her excitement and asked if she could visit him. However, Y/N gently explained that it wasn't the right time yet, as Joon Min was still in the process of healing from his past experiences.
Y/N began to briefly explain what happened to Joon Min these past two years.
Krystal's mind raced with anger and frustration as she thought about the impact Taemin had on their lives. If it wasn't for Taemin, Jimin and Joon Min might not have gone through such turmoil.
Her voice laced with determination, Krystal spoke, her tone firm. "Lee Taemin, that bastard! I can't even begin to fathom the pain and suffering that Joonie has endured. If it wasn't for him, Jimin wouldn't disappear for two years and Joonie wouldn't experience all these. Taemin won't get away with it, he will pay for the harm he has caused!"
Krystal's heart burned with an intense desire for justice and revenge. She had been scarred by her past experiences with Taemin, and the pain he had caused her ran deep. The thought of him living a comfortable life while others suffered because of him was unbearable.
Taemin's power and influence in the city made it nearly impossible for her to break free from the status as Mrs Lee, for her, it was her utter humiliation. His powerful connections and his ability to manipulate situations made it difficult for Krystal to find a way out.
Encountering him was the most unlucky thing that ever happened in her life.
"So when can I see Joonie?" Krystal asked cautiously.
"I understand your eagerness to see Joonie after all this time," Y/N began. "But right now, he needs time and space to recover from everything he has been through. It's been a difficult journey for him, and we're taking things step by step. Perhaps next time."
Y/N was prioritizing Joon Min's well-being and emotional adjustment, she decided to focus on making him comfortable with her presence before introducing him to anyone else. She understood that Joon Min had been through a traumatic experience and needed time to build trust and feel safe with her.
She knew that it could be overwhelming for him, considering the difficulties he had faced in the past. She wanted to ensure that he felt secure and established a strong bond with her as his primary caregiver before gradually expanding his social interactions.
In time, Y/N hoped that Joon Min would feel comfortable and ready to meet more people, including Krystal. But for now, she wanted to ensure that their bond was strong and that Joon Min had the necessary time and space to heal and adjust to his new life.
"You're right, let's wait until he is stable." Krystal tried to comfort her. "Y/N, don't worry. Joonie will get better."
Y/N's smile held a touch of bitterness as she had heard similar sentiments from everyone else. However, she couldn't help but feel a mix of hope and apprehension. She had been telling herself and hearing from others that Joon Min would get better, but deep down, she carried the weight of uncertainty and fear. The journey of healing for Joon Min would be a complex and arduous one, and Y/N knew that it would take time and patience.
"Have you considered reaching out to Joonie's friends? Sometimes, kids need to play and interact with other children their age. It can be beneficial for his social and emotional development." Krystal suggested a way. "Sa Rang is his best friend, isn't it better to let her socialize with Joonie?"
Then she remembered. "But she has already moved to Ilsan."
"That's a good idea, Krystal. I will call Jisoo next time." Y/N stated.
After the office, Y/N received a phone call from Auntie Wang just as she was about to head to the grocery store. Auntie Wang informed her that she had already taken care of the grocery shopping for her. Grateful for Auntie Wang's thoughtfulness, Y/N decided to change her plans and drove straight to Jimin's house.
Y/N's nervousness lingered as she cautiously entered the house, gently tapping the password on the door. The door swung open, and she stepped inside, feeling a mix of hope and anxiety. She spotted Joon Min in the living room, sitting quietly and didn't raise his head.
Y/N took a deep breath, trying to steady herself. She didn't want to startle or overwhelm Joon Min, especially after last night's emotional episode. She stood there, watching him for a while. Realizing that staying in the living room might only add to her own anxiety, Y/N made her way to the kitchen. She tried to keep her footsteps light, not wanting to disturb the fragile peace that seemed to surround Joon Min.
Her longing to touch him, to offer him a reassuring embrace, was undeniable. However, she understood the importance of respecting his boundaries and allowing him to approach her on his own terms.
Instead, Y/N settled for being in Joon Min's presence, cherishing the mere opportunity to be near him.
In the kitchen, Y/N noticed Auntie Wang in the kitchen, busy unpacking the groceries she had purchased. Y/N greeted her with a warm smile and expressed her gratitude. "Auntie Wang, thank you for getting the groceries for me."
"It's no trouble at all, Ms. I've bought all the essentials and your favorite ingredients for cooking. Is there anything specific you need, Ms?"
"I trust your judgment, so I'm sure everything you've bought will be perfect." Y/N smiled. "I can do this, Auntie Wang. You can keep an eye on Joonie."
"As you wish, Ms. You know about Mr Park and Little Master's preference better."
It got her startled. "Jimin will be home for lunch?"
"Usually Mr Park doesn't return to have lunch at home but he mentioned this morning that he will today."
Y/N felt a mix of surprise and relief. Jimin's decision to come home for lunch showed a genuine effort to be present for Joon Min and support him during this challenging time. It was a small gesture, but it meant a lot to Y/N. She nodded appreciatively.
Y/N turned her attention back to the kitchen. She began to gather the ingredients, carefully selecting the ones she needed for Joon Min's favorite meal.
She focused on each task, pouring her heart into every dish, hoping that the love she infused into the food would reach Joon Min. She hoped that the flavors and aromas would awaken his senses and bring him a sense of comfort.
Y/N quietly peeked while Joon Min was sitting and drawing. She couldn't help but feel a mix of emotions as she watched him engrossed in his artwork. It was bittersweet to see him engaged in an activity he used to love, yet heartbreaking that he seemed distant and unresponsive.
Even though Auntie Wang was there to accompany him, he didn't interact with her at all.
Y/N spent the rest of her morning reading a book about trauma in children. She wanted to seek every possible resource to understand and help her son heal. Y/N also knew that Jimin had sent Joon Min to a specialized school in Singapore, but it hadn't yielded the desired results.
Y/N felt the weight of responsibility on her shoulders, determined to find a way to reach Joon Min and bring him back to the vibrant and joyful boy he once was.
She also planned to give Jisoo a call tonight. She knew that Jisoo and Sa Rang lived in Ilsan now. Sa Rang entered a school there, if she asked them to come, it might be inconvenient for them but Y/N couldn't think of any other way.
Her focus was interrupted by the sharp sting of pain. Y/N's eyes widened as she looked down at her finger, realizing she had accidentally cut herself while chopping the vegetables.
Jimin who had just got home startled as he heard the sound of a knife hitting the floor in the kitchen. Concerned, he hurriedly made his way toward the source of the noise.
He saw Y/N who was frowning in pain. He grabbed her hand to check her wound. "How can you be so careless..."
Jimin quickly moved to the sink and helped Y/N rinse her finger under the cool stream of water. The sight of a drop of blood staining the sink, but he focused on tending to her injury. He asked Auntie Wang to fetch the first aid kit.
Auntie Wang promptly returned with the kit, and Jimin carefully dried Y/N's finger with a clean towel. Jimin gently led Y/N to the nearby sofa, he then retrieved an antiseptic wipe from the kit and gently cleaned the cut to prevent any infection.
As Jimin applied the ointment on her wound, he couldn't help but notice Y/N's tears falling on her cheek. Concern etched on his face, Jimin paused for a moment. "Are you okay?" he asked softly.
But she was too immersed because she noticed that Joon Min was looking at her. Even though Joon Min's expression remained neutral, Y/N could sense that he acknowledged her presence, and that brought her immense joy.
For the moment, she couldn't even feel the pain on her finger anymore until Jimin pressed her wound.
Y/N winced, feeling a twinge of pain. She shifted her gaze to Jimin. "What are you doing?"
"You were smiling like stupid, I thought you're not in pain anymore."
She furrowed her eyebrows. "What did you say?"
Jimin carefully applied a small bandage to protect the wound. "Careless." He sassily said.
"..."
Auntie Wang kindly offered to take over the cooking since she had injured her finger. She let out a sigh of relief and nodded gratefully. "Thank you, Auntie Wang. I appreciate your help,"
Y/N shifted her attention back to Joon Min, who seemed completely engrossed in his drawing. She watched him intently, her heart aching with a mix of emotions. Although he no longer paid attention to her presence, she couldn't help but feel a glimmer of hope knowing that he was engaged in an activity he enjoyed.
She took a deep breath, summoned all her courage, and slowly moved closer to Joon Min. She sat down beside him, making sure not to invade his personal space. With a gentle voice, she asked, "Hey, Joonie, what are you drawing? Can I take a look?"
Y/N took a deep breath, steeling herself for the possibility of rejection. She remembered what Jimin had told her about the word 'Mom' triggering Joon Min, so she made a conscious effort to avoid mentioning it. Slowly, she leaned her head closer to Joon Min, wanting to be near him, to share a moment of closeness.
To her surprise and relief, Joon Min didn't react negatively. He continued to focus on his drawing, his hand gliding across the paper. Y/N's heart swelled with a mix of gratitude and hope. It was a small victory, a step forward in their journey together.
As Y/N sat beside him, a sense of warmth and acceptance enveloped her. Even though they didn't exchange words, their silent connection spoke volumes. It was a gentle understanding, a silent conversation between their souls.
At that moment, Y/N realized that she didn't need grand gestures or immediate breakthroughs. It was the small, genuine moments of connection that would gradually build a bridge between them.
After putting the first aid kit back, Jimin couldn't help but notice the radiant smile on Y/N's face and the spark in her eyes as she sat beside Joon Min. It was a sight that filled his heart with warmth.
Quietly, Jimin approached them, his footsteps light so as not to disturb the delicate atmosphere. He stood behind Y/N, "You look like an idiot." His voice sounded almost like a whisper but Y/N could hear him.
Y/N's head snapped towards Jimin, her eyes narrowing into a glare. She lowered her head and returned her attention to Joon Min, who was still engrossed in his drawing.
As Y/N sat there, her mind filled with thoughts and questions, she realized that there was still so much she needed to learn about helping a child like Joon Min. She made a mental note to finish reading her book and continue her research on childhood trauma and its effects. She knew that understanding the root causes and potential solutions would be crucial in providing the best support for Joon Min.
She also knew that knowledge was power, and the more she educated herself, the better equipped she would be to help Joon Min overcome his struggles.
Y/N pondered over Krystal's suggestion of bringing Sa Rang to spend time with him. She realized that social interaction with children his age could potentially benefit Joon Min's emotional well-being. It would provide him with an opportunity to engage in play, establish connections, and develop important social skills.
She rose from the carpet and noticed Jimin was sitting on the sofa while reading his work documents.
As she sat beside Jimin, her eyes couldn't help but be drawn to his captivating appearance. The way he looked in his work suit, with his hair pushed back to reveal his forehead, took her breath away. His confident and composed demeanor only added to his charm.
Y/N's gaze drifted downward, unintentionally fixating on Jimin's lips. The sight of his plump lips, delicately formed into a pout as he focused on his documents. She found herself drawn to their softness, imagining how they would feel against her own.
Shaking off her thoughts, Y/N quickly averted her eyes, realizing that her mind had wandered into forbidden territory. She silently scolded herself for allowing her thoughts to stray in such a direction.
"I have something to say"
"Say it." Jimin's response echoed in the air, his attention still absorbed by the documents before him.
"Do you remember Sa Rang, Joonie's best friend?" Y/N began. "Krystal suggested that if we have Sa Rang to spend time with Joonie, it might help him, you know, to have someone his age around."
Jimin remained silent, his focus unbroken as he flipped through the pages of the document. Y/N's gaze intensified, silently urging him to look up and acknowledge her. She continued, her voice growing firmer.
"I know it's a bit inconvenient since Sa Rang has moved to Ilsan, but maybe we can arrange a visit. Joonie needs friends, Jimin, and I want to try everything possible to help him."
Finally, Jimin set the documents aside and lifted his gaze to meet Y/N's eyes. His expression was unreadable, leaving her unsure of how he would respond. For a moment, the silence enveloped them, carrying the weight of their unspoken emotions.
He let out a sigh and ran a hand through his hair, his gaze shifting to the side. "I think, for now, it might be better to hold off on taking Joonie anywhere," he said softly, his voice tinged with concern. "With his current condition, unfamiliar environments might overwhelm him and cause distress."
"It's almost the year-end holiday, right?"
She nodded.
"Perhaps I can ask Namjoon to bring Sa Rang over here sometime. They can spend time together and maybe even engage in activities that Joonie enjoys."
Y/N's eyes sparkled with excitement at the idea. "That sounds perfect," she replied, her voice brimming with enthusiasm.
After lunch Y/N decided to call Jisoo and felt a surge of excitement as Jisoo shared her plans to bring Sa Rang to Seoul for the winter holiday. "That's wonderful, Jisoo! I'm so glad that Sa Rang will be able to visit and see Joonie. I know they've missed each other so much."
Jisoo laughed warmly on the other end of the line. "Believe me, Y/N, Sa Rang has been talking about Joonie nonstop. She's been eagerly waiting to see him."
Y/N's heart swelled with joy. "I can't wait for them to reunite. It will be a special moment for both of them. Thank you so much for making this happen, Jisoo."
After ending the call with Jisoo, Y/N couldn't contain her excitement. She went over to Joonie, "Joonie, guess what? Sa Rang is coming to visit us during the winter holiday! You'll get to see your best friend soon!"
