Chapter 83
"I'm sorry, I'm busy." Jimin's tone was cold, like he was talking to a total stranger.
"Let's go." The old man said.
Y/N finally knew for sure that Jimin was alive but she just wanted to meet Joon Min, she just wanted to ask Jimin about him.
She hurriedly chased after him but she was stopped by Jimin's bodyguard. "Sorry Miss, you can't get any closer."
Y/N tried to escape them but they kept blocking her way. She could only watch as Jimin disappeared before her eyes. Her heart was getting anxious.
Because Y/N still hadn't returned to the party, Uncle Yoon was worried so he tried to call her again while looking for her and finally he found her. He saw she was being stopped by two guards and she was yelling: "Let me go!"
Uncle Yoon was panicking and immediately rushed to her. He then pushed those two men: "What do you think you're doing?"
Those men looked at him: "Who are you?"
But Uncle Yoon ignored his question: "What our you doing to Ms Song?"
The men noticed that Jimin had left so they let them go.
"Ms Song, are you okay?"
But she didn't answer him and went downstairs hurriedly. Uncle Yoon was startled and followed Y/N running to the entrance of the hotel to chase him. As she ran after Jimin, her heart was racing with desperation and fear. She had to catch him before he disappeared again. But as she reached his car and pounded on his window, she could see that the driver was already behind the wheel and starting to pull away.
She tried to shout his name, to plead with him to stop, but the car didn't stop. She felt a wave of sadness and regret wash over her as she watched him disappear down the road.
It had never occurred to her that their lives, which had been closely interwoven, could unravel with such speed. If she'd known, maybe she'd kept a tighter hold of them and not let unseen tides pull them apart.
Uncle Yoon ran to chase her and stopped her: "What happened? Whose car is it?"
Y/N still wanted to chase the car but Uncle Yoon stopped her again. "There's no point to chase the car, you won't be able to chase them." He paused: "Who was it?"
Uncle Yoon kept asking her questions but she didn't answer any of them. He was helpless and took her back to their hotel.
"Was it Joonie's mother?" Lisa turned her head to look at Jimin.
Jimin was staring at the window and nodded.
She was a bit confused: "How could she come here? She lives in Seoul, isn't she?"
"Looks like we accidentally met." Jimin leaned on the car seat and patted his legs.
The car ride was quiet after that, Lisa understood Jimin didn't want to talk about it anymore so she stopped asking questions.
Jimin closed his eyes and ordered the driver to take Lisa back first then he wanted to go to the rehabilitation center after. Lisa immediately turned her head and stared at the handsome man beside her: "You want to see Joonie?"
"He will be discharged soon."
"The doctor has allowed him out?" Lisa frowned. "He keeps resisting other people except us, nobody can get close to him still. I don't think it's a good idea..."
Jimin didn't say anything. Lisa wanted to go with him but Jimin rejected the idea
He went there alone. It was a private school for troubled kids. Because it was already late, the school didn't allow anyone to come but today, there were some accidents. The teachers and employees seemed to be relieved to see Jimin's appearance.
"Mr Park, we were about to call you. Park Joon Min bit his friend, he is not in a stable condition." They sighed.
Jimin's face dropped as soon as he heard it, he paced hurriedly to follow the doctor to Joon Min's room. He could hear Joon Min's screams from afar. When he entered the room, there were a few people inside. One teacher was about to approach Joon Min but she got bitten by him. She cried and hit Joon Min by instinct.
In no time, she was pushed and fell down the floor. Her hair was a mess and she raised her head only to see a scary-looking man glaring at her. The man went over to Joon Min and carried him. His gaze softened when he looked at the little boy, he was comforting him.
"All of you, out now!" Jimin said coldly.
They then pulled the woman on the floor and left the room.
Joon Min's mood started to calm down in Jimin's embrace. After he calmed down, he finally slept. Jimin covered him with a blanket and closed the door.
It was late at night, all the kids there were sleeping. When he was walking in the corridor, he noticed that the light was off in most of the rooms. He went to the office and found the employee who hit Joon Min. They were treating her wound as she was yelling in pain.
"What an unfortunate night! Why is this happening to me in my extra shift? All the kids are good except Park Joon Min, he always causes trouble! What kind of kid is he?"
"You can't say..." Another teacher was about to remind her to not say something carelessly until she saw a man in front of the door. She gasped.
Park Jimin was watching them. They were all terrified.
The injured teacher noticed they were silent all of sudden, she turned her head toward the door and looked at Jimin's cold intimidating gaze. She was frightened that she almost fell from the chair.
They stood up and stammered: "M-Mr Park..."
Jimin got inside and pulled a chair to sit on. "Call your principal now."
"Mr Park..."
"Are you doing it or not?"
"Yes."
The teacher who hit Joon Min lowered her head as she knew she was in big trouble. Park Jimin was not someone to provoke, he is from Manobal International Inc.
The principal rushed over as soon as he heard the news. There were quite a few people inside the office. He gazed at Jimin: "Mr Park, what happened?"
"I thought my son would be well taken care of by donating a huge sum of money to this school but it turns out wrong..."
The principal didn't understand and turned his gaze to the employees before shifting his gaze to Jimin again: "My apologies, Mr Park. But what happened?"
Jimin then pointed to the woman: "Tell him. In detail, don't leave anything out."
The woman was trembling and finally told the story. She didn't even dare to raise her head the whole time because she was terrified of Jimin's gaze. After she finished, it was obvious that Jimin was dissatisfied.
"Are you sure that is all?" Jimin smirked.
"You tell him." Jimin pointed to the other teacher who was present to witness the whole thing.
"One of the students tried to take Park Joon Min's toy then he bit him and threw a tantrum after that. We both tried to comfort him but it was useless then Joon Min bit her hand when she tried to approach him..." She pointed at the injured woman: "She then hit Joon Min."
Jimin looked terrifying at this moment, he smiled: "It seemed that you're unhappy about my son..."
The teacher shook her head: "No, Mr Park. It's not true."
"I am not deaf, I clearly heard you asking 'what kind of kid he is'. Am I not right?"
"Mr Park..." She started to cry as she didn't know what to do at this moment. The wound on her hand was painful so she hit Joon Min by instinct. She was just angry, how could she know that Park Jimin was standing outside and watching the whole thing?
"My apologies, Mr Park. We are clearly at fault. You..."
Jimin waved his hand and cut him off: "Based on the employee's attitude and overall qualities, I don't think your school is appropriate to operate. This school is most-known for its remarkable quality for troubled kids but what quality is there to offer if the teachers don't even have patience?"
"Mr Park, please. This is a misunderstanding. I admit our mistake for not being able to take care of this properly. You can do anything but please don't..."
He was scared that Jimin really had the ability to close the school and he also noticed Jimin's aloofness the whole time. He then pointed at the crying teacher: "A teacher like her indeed doesn't deserve to be in our school. I will fire her right away."
Jimin stayed calm, even though he looked scary. "My son has been here for several months, I believe this is not the first time. You need to investigate it and report everything to me because if you don't, there will be a consequence."
"Yes, okay Mr Park. I will definitely investigate this matter deeper. I'm going to check thoroughly for the next recruit so this will never happen again." The principal was really afraid, his forehead was sweaty. But now, he could breathe.
Jimin left the office and returned to Joon Min's room. The principal also followed behind him. He felt extremely worried, he could sense that it wasn't over yet.
Jimin took Joon Min's backpack and tidied up his favorite toy. He didn't take any other things.
"Mr Park?"
"Joon Min doesn't need to stay here anymore. I don't think your school can help him recover."
"Mr Park, this is an accident. I guarantee this will not happen again."
Jimin scoffed, showing a mocking expression. "You guarantee? How much is your promise worth?"
The principal's face dropped and couldn't say anything.
Jimin went over to Joon Min's bed and carried him: "My secretary will be here tomorrow to take care of Joon Min's discharge formalities."
The driver was waiting outside, when he saw Jimin carrying Joon Min. He immediately opened the door for him.
Jimin carried Joon Min upstairs and placed him on the bed as soon as they arrived at his house.
For a half year, Jimin was looking for Joon Min. His son was taller and changed a lot. Because he didn't get enough nutrition, he was too skinny for his age. He also experienced a lot of things. Jimin didn't want to mention it, he also didn't want to think about it. Fortunately, his health has improved in the past six months now.
Jimin took off his gray suit and threw it to the sofa. He also undid his tie then laid down on the bed. He turned his head to see Joon Min: "Joonie, do you miss mom?"
Joon Min was sleeping, he couldn't answer him. But even if he was awake, he couldn't communicate with anyone. He wouldn't answer him. Jimin stared at the ceiling and said: "Joonie, we should go back..."
After being inside the bathroom for a long time, Krystal finally came out and noticed Y/N was already back. "You're back." She said weakly while trying to climb the bed.
Y/N was sitting on the sofa with her back facing her. She didn't know if she heard her but she didn't respond. Krystal felt something was strange then walked to her side. She noticed Y/N's face wasn't looking well and her gaze was empty. "Y/N, what happened?"
She still didn't respond so Krystal patted her shoulder.
Y/N finally regained her senses: "I just saw Jimin..."
"What did you say? You saw Jimin as in Park Jimin? The Park Jimin?" She continued: "Where did you see him?"
"At the hotel."
"Was it really him? Why didn't I see him? Maybe you had hallucinations." Krystal murmured.
Y/N massaged her temple. "No, it's him."
"He is in Singapore this whole time? It's..." Krystal didn't understand. "How is he? What happened? Did he say something? What about Joonie? Where is Joonie?"
Y/N shook her head: "He didn't even let me approach him, I just wanted to ask him about Joonie, but I couldn't..."
She remembered the beautiful woman beside him, her heart felt tightened. She then hugged her knees.
"What happened to him? He didn't recognize you? Does he have amnesia?"
"No, he remembers me."
"But how could he not contact you or anyone these past two years?" Krystal noticed Y/N's face then stopped asking questions. "Take a rest for now, we will find him tomorrow. Then we can ask him about Joonie."
Y/N finally nodded and went to the bed.
Krystal then took a glass of water and took her medicine she bought earlier. She didn't know if it would be effective but it was better than not taking any.
Due to lack of information about Jimin, Y/N asked Uncle Yoon to help find Jimin. She went to the hotel where the party was held to check if she could get any information but they weren't familiar with this country, they also didn't have connections here. How could they get information?
Y/N still couldn't find anything.
Krystal thought it was useful: "Y/N, let's go back to Seoul for now and ask Taehyung's help to check. At least we know he is in Singapore, right?"
Y/N nodded.
Uncle Yoon already left Singapore a day after the party but Y/N and Krystal told him that they wanted to stay two more days so they didn't go back together. After they decided to go home, they went to the hotel to pack and then took a flight back to Seoul.
When they arrived, Y/N and Krystal asked Taehyung to dinner.
Taehyung opened a small foreign trade company so he was quite busy these days. He usually went to work early and came home late at night. He also had two employees. He often forgot to have dinner and since he hadn't had his dinner so he thought it was good to have dinner outside.
Y/N and Krystal were already in the restaurant and had ordered a lot of dishes. Taehyung came over and stared at the dishes on the table and smiled: "You both are the best, these are all my favorite foods."
"Of course, we know you're exhausted so we ordered your favorite food." Krystal passed the meat to him.
"Why are you so kind today?" Taehyung was a bit shy.
"What do you mean? I'm always kind." Krystal glared at him. "Are you eating or not?"
"I will, I will..." Taehyung took the meat.
"How was Singapore? Did you eat a lot of food?" Taehyung knew Krystal was a foodie.
"Taehyung, we have something to talk about with you."
The atmosphere turned cold and serious. "What is it?"
Y/N stared at him: "I saw Jimin in Singapore."
Taehyung was startled, he dropped the chopsticks. "You saw him in Singapore?
"Did you see wrong?"
"No, it's him." She continued: "I saw him and talked to him but he went away so quick. I didn't even have a chance to ask him about Joonie. He also didn't want to talk to me."
She paused. "So Tehyung, can you help me find him?"
"Don't worry, I will find him."
Taehyung thought he disappeared because he was in trouble, but now he's in Singapore? He couldn't understand it. Why didn't he contact him at all?
After the dinner, Y/N went home with worries clouding up her mind. Shin Ji was in the living room, writing calligraphy. She raised her head to see Y/N who just entered the house. "I don't know if you stayed in Singapore on purpose to escape the blind date or not but I've arranged another one. You need to show up this time!"
Usually, Y/N would say things on this topic but today she just wore her slippers and let the maid carry her suitcase. She then went upstairs.
Shin Ji frowned but she could feel something was not right. She put her brush down and went to Y/N's room. "Y/N, do you hear me?"
"Let's talk about this tomorrow."
"What is it? Are you feeling unwell?"
"No, I just returned and I want to rest. You can go back to doing your calligraphy again." Y/N said and closed the door.
