The sky was getting dark, but they were still patiently waiting outside the operation room. Nobody talked to each other as they were too immersed in their own anxiety. Especially Y/N and Jimin.

When the door finally opened, everyone came forward with an obvious worry on their faces. Doctor Min's face was calm as he was staring at everyone with a smile. "It was a great success. For this moment, there is no sign of rejection from his body. He's still unconscious, we're going to move him to the patient room. Let him rest."

"Doctor Min, thank you." Grandma could finally breathe, she smiled.

Doctor Min smiled and bowed as he left.

After Joon Min was safely moved to the patient room, everyone except Y/N and Jimin went home. Grandma and Joo Hyuk were picked up at the entrance while Krystal and Taemin, followed by Jungkook, went to the parking lot together.

Krystal turned her body and tapped Jungkook's shoulder. "Go straight to your house and rest. Don't forget to drink more water." Jungkook didn't look well as he normally did. It made Krystal worried about him.

He nodded and smiled. "You too. Don't sleep late like you usually do, it's not good for you and the baby."

Taemin opened the passenger door for Krystal, and after she got in, he said goodbye to Jungkook. Krystal stared at the window as Jungkook went inside his car.

"I always feel sorry for him." Krystal huffed.

Taemin followed her gaze and stared at his car. "Why?" He softly asked as he started driving.

"If it wasn't for Song Jun Seo's scheme, Y/N would end up with him."

"We don't know that." Taemin replied.

Krystal immediately turned her head to look at him. "Why?"

"Y/N doesn't love him like that and it's not certain that she would marry him if she didn't marry Jimin. Life is unpredictable." Taemin smiled.

Krystal leaned on her seat and stared at the road. "You're right, Y/N doesn't love him. But still, I think it's a pity and I feel sorry for him."

Taemin held her hand. "Hey, how can you take pity on another man in front of your husband?" He jokingly said.

He finally could understand how Jimin felt toward Jungkook. That man really had both his wife and Jimin's wife wrapped around his fingers.

She scoffed and patted his hand. "It's just a feeling for a friend. It's nothing, I've known him since middle school. If we had something special, I'd be with him since the beginning, wouldn't I?"

He gazed at her and smiled before he shifted his attention back to the road.

"Honestly, I think Y/N and Jimin were acting strange today. Did you see their reaction when Jungkook was about to donate his blood? Not only them, but also Grandma and Uncle seemed kind of weird."

Taemin let go of her hand and put it on the steering wheel, he shrugged. "I also have no idea."

"You're lying." She squinted her eyes at him. "You pulled me to the other side when I asked them what happened and asked me to let it be."

Taemin laughed, feeling helpless. "I really don't know. I pulled you to the side because it's not good to keep on asking questions under that kind of circumstances."

"Okay." Krystal frowned. "I just can sense something is wrong."

"What matters now Joonie is okay. He will be healthy so no need to worry about it too much. Let's just wait until everything is alright then we can ask them, okay?" Taemin reassured her.

Jimin went to the bedside and patted Y/N's shoulder. "Joonie isn't awake yet, let him rest. Go wash up and prepare for sleep."

"Okay." Y/N nodded and pulled Joonie's blanket. She kissed his forehead and went to the bathroom.

Jimin prepared the sofa for her to sleep. The maid already brought a blanket for them. "Sleep here tonight." He tucked her to bed.

But when he was about to go to the bathroom, Y/N pulled his hand. He turned his head: "What is it?"

"Is there any information from Kim Yugyeom?" She asked.

He shook his head. "He refused to talk."

Jimin knew why she asked. Y/N wanted to make sure about Jungkook's involvement. He bent his waist to give her a good night kiss and went to the bathroom.

Y/N pulled her blanket while staring at Joon Min. She kept thinking about how she treated Jungkook earlier today. He must have been hurt. She was afraid but she thought she shouldn't have treated him like that when it wasn't certain if he was involved.

She massaged her temple and closed her eyes.

The next day, Jungkook came over to bring lunch for them. He wanted to see Joon Min. "He is okay, right?"

"He hasn't awake yet but Doctor Min said he's okay."

Jungkook nodded. But when Y/N was about to explain about yesterday's matter, he already turned his body to look at Jimin. "You have Kim Yugyeom?"

Jimin, who was standing by the window nodded. "Yes." His voice was calm but his gaze was serious.

Jungkook scoffed and took a few steps towards his direction. "What do you want from him?" His expression was getting troubled.

Jimin also walked towards him, now they were face to face. "Isn't it obvious because of what you told him to do?"

His challenging tone made Jungkook chuckled coldly. "Why is it related to you? He works for me, not you. Do I need to report what I ask him to do?"

But Jimin's patience was running thin, he clutched Jungkook's collar harshly. "I don't give a fuck about that but you are getting on my nerves by provoking me."

Y/N knew they were going to start a fight. They always had this kind of interaction every time they met. She hurriedly came in between them and stood in front of Jimin. She raised her head to gaze at Jungkook and slightly pushed him away. "Let's talk outside, Kookie."

Jimin followed them outside, Y/N sighed. To avoid a fight, she kept holding on to Jimin's arm.

"Do you know why my Pa and my sister were sent to the police?" She asked.

Jungkook crossed his arms but didn't say anything.

"I told you about Choi Neon Yun's action on blackmailing my nutritionist to drug my food that led to my daughter's death." She continued. "Turned out that my Pa and my sister were also involved. Jimin set a trap for them and Han Mi contacted Kim Seulgi, that's how we caught them. They told us that it was Kim Yugyeom who bribed them, then Jun Seo set a meeting with Kim Yugyeom and he really came, so it was clear about his involvement."

Jungkook's expression was still calm but there was a hint of hurt in his eyes. "I think I can see why you were acting strange then." He continued: "He is my assistant and Joonie hurt himself while he was with me, it's understandable that you're suspicious of me." He bitterly smiled and looked down.

Looking at his smile, Y/N felt uneasy and also guilty. "Kookie..."

Jungkook raised his face, he looked Y/N in the eyes. "Y/N, do you have even a slight part of you that believes it was unrelated to me? That I didn't even know about this?"

Y/N nodded and grabbed his biceps. "Of course."

She couldn't help but noticed he was bulking up by the way his biceps felt on her hands. She also noticed the tattoos. He looked different, she could only admit that he was becoming a man now. His coconut hair was no longer there.

"Then it's enough." Jungkook smiled and patted her hands.

He turned his gaze at Jimin who was staring at his hands on Y/N's hands.

Jungkook let go of her hands. "Give Kim Yugyeom to me, I will interrogate him. If it's really his doing, I will not side with him."

Jimin turned his body and pulled out his phone to call Taehyung. "Send Kim Yugyeom to Jeon Jungkook." After he hung up, he went back to Y/N's side. He hugged her shoulder.

"I'm going now, take good care of Joonie." Jungkook said.

"Okay." Y/N was still standing there, watching him leave.

"Jimin, I believe in Jungkook. I know it's not him, he was framed."

No one liked to be misunderstood, especially not by someone that he loved the most. It would be desperately disappointing.

It was clearly written in Jungkook's expression. He was bitter and hurt.

Jimin patted her shoulder and pulled her closer to him. "Okay."

Joon Min finally regained consciousness after three days. He just experienced a big surgery, his body was still fragile. His face was really pale. Doctor Min also said that he needed to stay in the hospital for a while.

In these past three days Jimin also stayed in the hospital but now that Joon Min finally woke up, Y/N said: "The company is really busy with the garden project. Joonis is okay now, you can go to work. If something happens to him, I will call you."

This was a big project for the company and with a lot of things happening, Jimin was not able to take care of the company.

He finally nodded and grabbed his suit. "Joonie, Dad will go for a bit. Be good and listen to your Mom." He stroked his head and kissed both sides of his cheeks.

Joon Min was eating his breakfast and he also didn't have much energy to respond. He could only wave his hand.

Y/N sent him out. Jimin turned his body and smiled. "Take good care of him."

Not long after that, Jungkook came to Joon Min's room. His face was serious, it made her somewhat nervous. "Kookie, what happened?"

Jungkook furrowed his eyebrows. "Yugyeom ran away last night and I already had someone to track him. He ran away to Singapore." He explained.

Y/N was startled and turned her gaze to Auntie Wang, she asked her to look for Joon Min. Jungkook and her went outside to talk. "I sent people to track him there, don't worry. I will tell you as soon as I find him."

She nodded and stared at him. "If Kim Yugyeom is really a betrayer. Who is the person behind him? Your half brother, Jeon Wonwoo?"

"It must be him, there's no one else." Jungkook let out an agitated breath.

"When you said you almost lost your life in Italy, was it also his plan?" Y/N asked as she remembered his story when they talked on the phone.

"Yes, it was him." Jungkook nodded. "No matter what, Yugyeom is my assistant. I will take responsibility, I'm going to investigate this thoroughly."

But Y/N felt uneasy, she was worried for him. "You need to be careful. Your parents are still in control of the Jeon company, I think he will still try to take it away from you."

Jungkook smiled and put his hands on her shoulder, he lowered his head to look at her. "Y/N, you don't have any slight doubt in me? What if this is all my plan and I was the one who asked Yugyeom to do it? What if I was the one to let him run away?"

Y/N stared at his eyes and smiled. "I believe you."

"I think you're still the little girl I saw from the window." He recalled the memory of the first time he saw her smile, her smile was gentle and bright like the sun.

She gazed at his tattoos on his hand. "When did you get them?"

Jungkook raised his hand and showed it to Y/N. "A few months ago."

"I thought you were going to get one small tattoo, but your hand is full of them now."

"It was one small tattoo at first, but I got addicted to the pain. My arm is full of tattoos, do you want to see?" Jungkook asked.

These days Y/N always stayed in the hospital to accompany Joon Min. Every night, Joon Min slept early because of his health. He also slept most of the time.

Jimin was also busy with the business. Tonight, she asked Auntie Wang to take care of Joon Min at the hospital so she could go back home for a bit. But the Park residence was very quiet tonight. Grandma and Joo Hyuk weren't sitting in the living room like they used to. So she asked the butler, they were all in the study room. Even Taemin was also there, they were in a meeting.

Y/N knew there must be something wrong happening in the company. Jimin rarely discusses business with her, but it wasn't because he didn't trust her but because she didn't really understand business. So she could only guess it was probably about the "Hanging Garden" project.
