Chapter 7

You sat in bed that night in stunned silence. As soon as Hiccup finished speaking, you had ran to your room, doing your best to ignore Rita's smug expression as she clung to Hiccup's arm.

        You wiped your eyes, breathing deeply. There must be some rational explanation for this! You knew Hiccup loved you- and you'd been though so must together. Did that mean nothing to him?

        You eventually drifted off into a dreamless sleep.

                                                                                                                ~~~
        You sat as far away from Hiccup as possible the next morning at breakfast. Rita sat right next to him, trying to feed him his food. It was disgusting. And the worst part- he didn't seem to mind! He went along with it, laughing when a piece of fish fell off Rita's spoon and onto the table. They did that for the rest of the mean, completely ignoring you.
        You let early, having lost your appetite.
        By the time evening came, you decided you would stop moping around. Your plan was to find Hiccup, and make him explain everything.
        That was exactly what you did. You wandered around the house a bit, until you caught sight of Hiccup, staring out a window, seemingly lost in thought. You waved, catching his attention. His face turned as white as a sheet, but his feet stayed planted as you stormed over to him.
        "Hello Hiccup." He flinched at your cold words, but remained silent. You struggled to keep your eyes from watering, taking a deep breath and continuing. "How are you and Rita doing?" You had never seen Hiccup look so scared, pinned up against the wall, pale and shaking.
        "L- listen (Y/N)... I-I'm not... supposed to talk to you..." Your eyes widened incredulously.
        "You're, not supposed to? Hiccup! I thought you loved me! Does anything we went through mean nothing to you anymore? Am I just not perfect enough? Did you get bored? Well, no one's perfect!"
        You were yelling at this point, despite your best efforts, your eyes beginning to water, tears leaking out and flowing freely down your face.
        "(Y/N)...." Hiccup seemed at a loss for words. He stood there helplessly as you cried into your arm. Then, he turned, and walked away.
        That only made you cry harder. Eventually, you dried your face, and stalked shamelessly to your room, where you stayed all night, and well into the next day.
                                                                                                          ~~~

        Hiccup's Point Of View

        I feel bad leaving (Y/N)... but Rita needs me.

        Ok, I know this is like the shortest chapter in existence, but I just needed a filler, and I promise I'll start on the next chapter tonight and hopefully explain some things ;).

        And let me know of you have any suggestions ( not counting killing off Rita, as much as I know you all hate her, believe me I do too (just leave them in the comments)). I'm kinda running dry on ideas so that would be a big help :)
