Glad to be back, I again apologize for my little break. Hope you guys are doing amazing!!
Anyways...on with this craptastic story!!
Virgil POV
I glared at Corruption angrily. My grip tightened on the book.
"I'm sur-surprised you act-actually m-made it here V-Virgil." Growled Corruption. "I didn't t-t-think you had it in y-you."
"Leave Thomas alone." I growled back. "You don't belong here and you know it."
"Virgil?" Whispered Thomas, coughing. He turned and faced me and the others. His gaze flickered over us and he smiled gently.
"It's okay Thomas." I promised him. "We won't let them hurt you."
"Give in V-Virgil. Give into the dark-darkness. You'll get to r-rule over T-Thomas with us." Said Corruption while extending a hand to me.
"I'm not going back." I hissed at him. "You have no control over me anymore."
"O-On the c-contrary." Said Corruption with a smirk. Instantly, it felt as if I was being burned alive. I screamed out in agony and collapsed to the floor.
Give in Virgil!
You belong to the darkness!
Corruption's voice screamed at me in the mind. I curled up and dug my nails into the scalp. I couldn't breath. I can't breath. My throat seemed to close.
And my heart seemed to stop. I felt someone holding me, but I could barely register the feeling. All I could feel was agonizing pain of Depression trying to take back over.
Than the pain was gone. My body relaxed in relief. I took deep breaths, trying to calm my racing heart. I opened my eyes to see that I was in Roman's arms. He has a terrified expression on his face.
"Y-you see V-Virgil." Said Corruption slowly. "You can't escape f-from who y-you used to be. You h-have been and always w-will be D-Depression."
"No." I muttered, pulling myself away from Roman. I wheezed a bit, still feeling lightheaded. Roman tried to pull me back to him but I shrugged him off.
I grabbed the book off the floor and opened it. Corruption let out a laugh.
"Your st-stupid book can't h-help you now." Laughed Corruption. "I h-have way more p-power than y-you."
"But not me." Hissed Deceit, stepping up next to Virgil. Instantly, snakes were wrapping themselves around Ignorance and Remus.
They started yelling, trying to get the snakes off them. Corruption turned and smiled gently.
"Time f-for the real fun to b-begin." He hissed, he shot a bolt of energy at his look-a-like. Deceit crumbled to the floor with a scream. His snakes fell limply off of Remus and Ignorance.
Than the entire world started glitching and shifting around. When the world stopped moving, we were back in the mindscape.
"If we-were going to have a b-battle with m-magic," started Corruption. "W-we might as w-we'll be in a pl-place where m-magic works."
The rain was gone, instead replaced with dark storm clouds. I looked up to see Corruption right next to me.
I flinched as he wrapped his hand around my neck. I was too weak to fight back as he threw me to the ground.
I looked over to see Thomas sitting on a large rock, trapped up there by bolts of electricity. Next to him were all the other sides and traits. Also stuck in a lightening cage of sorts.
It was Deceit and I against the dark sides. This isn't going to end well.
Deceit snakes came slithering back to him, wrapping themselves around him. I looked over at Deceit. He nodded before shifting between everyone quickly.
"S-stop doing that!" Yelled Corruption. Deceit kept shifting, knowing it would piss Corruption off.
It was just a distraction because it would bother Corruption and make him focus on Deceit. While I opened the portal to the Pit.
I knelt down and placed my hand on the ground. I opened the book and started mumbling the spell.
"From one to another
From another to one
One's life is erased
Hidden behind the rest
Cast to the shadows
Hiding the truth of our past."
I opened my eyes, to see the ground around me starting to break away. A large black portal opened behind me.
I looked up to see Corruption locked in combat with Deceit. Ignorance and Remus kept looking between me and Corruption, trying to decide if they should help Corruption or stop me.
I took a deep breath and turned towards the portal. Now to finish the spell.
"I offer a sacrifice
A mark of ones destiny
To be pulled into forgotteness."
I tossed the logos of Remus, Corruption, and Ignorance into the portal. Instantly, a large amount of energy exploded from the portal as it turned into a giant vortex.
It didn't matter who's logos I had thrown into the Pit. The Pit now just needs three people to get pulled into it. Once it has three people inside it, it'll collapse on itself. I have to make sure that Deceit or I don't get pulled into it.
I fell away from it and scrambled to get back to my feet. My body screamed in pain, but I ignored it.
"No!" Screeched Corruption, pulling away from Deceit to look at me. I smiled at him, knowing we were winning.
"W-why didn't you s-stop him!" Corruption screamed at Ignorance and Remus.
"Well I didn't know what to do." Said Remus. "As much as I would love to make a sandcastle out of his ashes, I don't have my powers." He hissed the last part, looking angrily at me.
"I didn't know what to do." Repeated Ignorance. I looked back at the portal. It was growing and getting stronger, pulling things into it.
"Deceit now!" I yelled at him. Deceit nodded and sent his snakes towards Ignorance and Remus.
"I'm not going back there!" Screamed Remus, trying to stomp on the snakes.
"You don't have a choice." I whispered. I ran over to Deceit and pulled him away from the portal.
"Go! Grab onto something." I told him, while turning the pages in my book.
"I'm not leaving you to do this by yourself!" Deceit yelled back over to the sound of the portal as the winds picked up.
We both slid forwards a bit towards the portal. I pushed Deceit away. I don't want him to get trapped in the Pit again.
I heard Ignorance screaming. I turned to see him getting pulled into Portal. He was clinging onto the ground, pulling up tufts of grass as he tried to hold on.
The portal got bigger and instantly pulled him inside it. He let out a scream in fear as he disappeared.
Remus and Corruption looked at each other in fear. Corruption than pushed Remus towards the portal.
"What the fuck?!" Screamed Remus as he tried to crawl away the portal. "We were working together!"
"You s-said your-yourself you can-can't do any-anything w-without your powers." Screamed Corruption. "You f-failed me!" With that Corruption started shooting bolts of electricity at Remus.
Remus screamed out in fear and pain as the bolts rained down on him. He let go of the ground and went flying backwards into the portal.
Another larger explosion of energy erupted from the portal. Both Deceit and I went flying backwards. We hit the bolts that were holding all the others back.
I quickly flipped through the pages of the book as the wind whipped my hair in my face.
"Now or never." I growled. "Give me your sword Roman!" I yelled. Roman quickly unsheathed his sword and passed it through the bolts to me.
"Why do you need it?" He asked.
"Corruption isn't going into the portal. I can tell." I hissed, still looking for the spell. "We're going to have to kill him."
"He can't die though!" Said Logan.
"Corruption is only a mere trait." Said Deceit. "Playing the part of someone more important."
"Hey!" Said Remy defensively. "The traits are important."
"Of course." Purred Deceit before turning back to me. "The swords to big, I have a knife."
"Good, good." I whispered, still trying to find the spell. Deceit pulled a dagger out of his pocket and handed it to me.
"Watch out!" Screamed Patton, as a bolt struck the cage right above my head. I flinched heavily.
"Finish the enchantment." Deceit hissed at me before standing up. He picked up Roman's sword and called his snakes back to him.
I tried to ignore Deceit and Corruption fighting, as I searched for the spell. Finally!
I let out a breath of relief as I came across the spell. I read through it quickly, summoning up the bioluminescent herbs I would need.
"Warn me if Corruption come for me." I told the others, sitting down crisscrossed. I picked up the dagger and drew a circle around myself with it in the ground. Than I picked up the herbs and sprinkled them around me, following the line.
I summoned up a little purples flame and life the herbs on fire. I sat completely still until all the herbs burned out, only leaving little trails of purple smoke.
I laid the dagger down in front of me and hovered my hands over it. I closed my eyes.
"While darkness keeps me from sight
Imbue this tool with Gaia's light."
I said the words once.
"Virgil!" I heard Deceit scream. I opened my eyes to see the dagger glowing. I picked up the dagger and quickly stood up.
I looked over to see Corruption was holding Roman's sword, slowly backing Deceit into the portal.
I limped over to them as quickly as I could. The wind was even stronger now. Corruption turned when I got close to him and raised Roman's sword over my head.
I punched forwards, right as Corruption swung the sword down on me. I jammed the dagger into Corruptions side.
He let out a scream, unused to pain. He dropped the sword. I pulled the bloody dagger back out and picked up the sword.
I ran to Deceit, right as he was starting to float upwards into the portal. I slammed the sword into the ground and held tightly onto it with one hand.
With my other I grabbed onto Deceit. Deceit had a look of terror on his face. The portal wasn't going to close any time soon. It still needed one more sacrifice.
The winds kept picking up, telling me that Deceit was about to be pulled in. The portal wouldn't close until someone else was inside. We clung tightly onto each other.
"Don't let go!" I yelled to him, trying to pull him away from the portal.
"Let go Virgil." Said Deceit calmly. I looked up at him, shock rushing through me.
"No!" I told him.
"Doubt's dead." Deceit said, his voice cracking. "I have nothing left to live for."
"Don't say that!" I told him, struggling to hold on, my grip starting to weaken. I faintly heard Corruption struggling to his feet behind us.
"Use the dagger. Kill Corruption." I told him. "Than use my book and try to save me."
"What?" Asked Deceit, confusion evident on his face.
"Tell Roman I love him." I said, looking into his eyes. With all the strength I had left, I let go of the sword pulled Deceit towards me. It sent him thudding to the ground, but sent me flying up into the portal.
Deceit turned and grabbed the edge of my hoodie trying to pull me back. My hoodie fell of me, sending Deceit sprawling onto the ground. I went flying into the portal, watching as Deceit looked up at me in horror while clutching my hoodie.
I screamed out in fear as pain and darkness enveloped me.
