One Hundred & Twenty

Deceit POV
"Crap," Roman breathed as Corruption continued to bang on the door and scream. "What are we going to do?"

"We gotta get out of here now!" Remus said, looking around the room frantically. He tossed the key to Roman and then slung Wylan over his shoulder.

I held Quinn tighter against me, an angry protectiveness flaring inside me.

"LEAVE H-HIM A-ALONE!" Corruption screamed. "D-DON'T YOU D-DARE TAKE H-HIM FROM M-ME!"

"There's no windows in here,"  I said, looking around.  "How are we supposed to get out?"

Remus ran over to the table covered with vials and set Wylan down on it.  Wylan rolled over onto his side, completely limp.

Remus started grabbing at random vials, basically any of them that looked even remotely dangerous.  He turned back to us with a sadistic grin.

"Let's blast our way out of this place,"  He said before turning to the wall where Quinn was.  He started throwing the vials at it.

Almost instantly, it exploded.  With a loud boom and puff of dust, the wall crumbled.  Little red sparks danced down and fell limply to the floor.

"WH-WHAT WAS T-THAT?!"  Corruption screamed, his fists pounding even more on the door.  "D-DON'T TAKE H-HIM FROM M-ME!  DON'T T-TOUCH HIM!"

Remus started laughing, while Roman and I just stared at him in shock.  He walked back over and grabbed Wylan again, slinging him over his shoulder.

I walked over to the opening in the wall and looked down.  Fear filled me and I felt myself get vertigo.

"We're in one of the turrets of the castle,"  I told them.  "We're probably a good fifty feet up."

"How the hell are we supposed to get down that?"  Roman asked.

"We could use the parasite,"  Remus suggested.  "As a rope since it's like vines."

"And you expect us to touch it?!"  Roman yelled, his face twisting in fear and disgust.

"It didn't hurt me when I touched it to get Quinn out,"  I said.  "It's our best chance at getting down."

Remus placed Wylan against the wall near the opening.  Wylan rolled over again and I worried he might roll out of the opening.

"Roman help Remus," I told him. He scoffed at me, making me glare at him.

He rolled his eyes but moved to help his brother. Together, the twins move the longest vine of parasite they could find.

Roman tied one end of it to the bed post. Remus slowly threw the other end out of the opening.

We all jumped when the door started splintering open. We could all hear Corruption yelling from the other end.

"L-LEAVE HIM H-HERE!"  He screeched.  "T-TAKE QUINN I D-DON'T CARE J-JUST DON'T T-TAKE WY-WYLAN FROM M-ME."  It sounded as if Corruption was actually crying at this point, which was extremely shocking.

"Quickly, quickly," I mumbled. "Go!"

Remus picked Wylan back up and started heading down the vine.  Roman and I moved to the edge.

The door splintered again, making us both jump.  Roman heaved the key out of the opening, not bothering to watch it hit the ground.

He summoned his sword and faced the door.  He shoved me towards the opening.  Understanding what Roman meant, I slung Quinn over my shoulder.

I grabbed the vine and swung my feet over.  I braced them against the wall and started moving down.

It's hard only using one hand.  I don't know how Remus did it while carrying Wylan.

I felt the vine move and I looked down to see that Remus was now on the ground.  He looked up at me.

I had only made it down about halfway when I looked up to see Roman coming down the rope.   I quickened my pace, hoping more than anything for my feet to touch solid ground.

I looked down and jumped the last few feet.  I landed heavily, more concerned with making sure Quinn didn't get hurt rather then myself.

Remus and I waited, severally on edge. We can't leave without Roman. He quickly made his way down, but not fast enough for my liking.

Finally, Roman reached the bottom. He jumped the last few feet like I did. But he landed perfectly of course.

"Sorry," He mumbled, picking up the key again. I moved Quinn into a more comfortable position in my arms.

Roman led the way, Remus and I following quickly behind. I can't wait to get back home

~~~~~le magical time skip~~~~~~
We finally reached the mindpalace.  I smiled softly.  We're finally all back together.  All we have to do is three things.
Make sure Quinn is okay.
Get the parasite out of Evan.
Figure out who and what the hell Wylan is.
Not too hard, right?  Roman moved forwards and opened the door.  We went inside, Remus carrying Wylan last.
Everyone was there.  Evan lying on the couch, seeming to be in a much worse condition then we left him in.  Virgil was sitting on the other end of the couch with Emile and Remy.  They were watching Riverdale. Logan and Patton sat at the kitchen table with Thomas.  The parasite sat across from them.
"You guys are back!"  Patton exclaimed.  "Thank goodness."
"How's Quinn?"  Asked Virgil, moving across the couch to give Roman a kiss.  I followed him to the couch and gently sat Quinn down on it.
"He'll be fine,"  I mumbled.  "We have more important matters to deal with."
"Like what?"  Thomas asked.
"This,"  Remus said, dropping Wylan on the table.  He remained ever still, like a rag doll.  His metal parts clanked against the table.
Everyone jumped in shock. Patton and Thomas both gasped audibly.
"What in the ever flying fuck is that?!"  Remy yelled, raising his sunglasses to look at it.
I opened my mouth to answer, but the parasite started screaming.
"No no no no no no nO NO NO NO!" It screamed over and over, it's eyes wide in fear. "WHY WOULD YOU BRING HIM HERE?!  WHY DID YOU TAKE HIM?!"
"Do you know who this is?" Logan asked, his eyes trailing over the metal limbs.
"He's Corruption's favorite pet!" The parasite screamed. "Corruption will come for him! He won't stop until he gets him back! You don't understand what you've done!"
"His favorite pet?" Thomas asked. "I thought that Virgil was his favorite."
"No you don't understand!" It screamed, extremely distressed. "Corruption will stop at nothing to get him back! You will die for even touching him!"
"Why is he so important to Corruption?" Roman asked, obviously as confused as the rest of us.
"I don't know!" It yelled. "Nobody knows. All we know is that we don't touch him. We don't speak of him, especially his name. We are not worthy. We protect him with our lives and make sure he doesn't escape."
"Escape?" Mumbled Thomas.
"Just wake him up, ask him," The parasite mumbled. "I can't tell you."
"How do we do that?" Logan asked.
"Key," Was all the parasite mumbled. He just stared at Wylan, his eyes never wavering. The parasite was shaking in fear.
Roman handed Logan the key. Logan looked it over for a second before moving his eyes to Wylan.
"How does this work?" He asked, turning to me.
"On his back," I answered. Roman helped Logan move Wylan so he was in a sitting position.
Thomas ran his hands over the key hole, looking at it in confusion but also wonder.
"How is something like this in my mind?" He murmured.
"He's probably someone that Corruption kidnapped from the Imagination." Roman said, moving to look at the key again.
"Well we can ask him once he wakes up," Logan said, placing the key against the key hole.
He slowly pushed it in and then started turning it. He wound it a few times before stepping back.
Strange blue sparks ran over Wylan, starting at the key. A faint ticking sound started up and we all watched in amazement as the hands on the clock above his heart started moving.
Slowly, the gears in his neck started turning. They were a little screechy, obviously needing to be oiled.
There was another click and then soft music started. Soon a singing voice accompanied the creep music.
And if you open up my heart
And then stay so far away
You will always be the same
And even if you find a better way
To love me then
You are still to blame
