Deceit POV
"What's going on down there?"  Came Remus's voice from the top of the stairs.

Evan's eyes lit up upon hearing Remus's voice.  The Quinn imitation looked uneasily between me, Evan, and the stairs behind me.

"You better get down here,"  I called up the stairs.  Remus was down by my side within seconds, a panicked look on his face.

"Evan!"  Remus yelled, running over and pressing kisses all over Evan's face.  "You're awake!" Evan smiled gently but grimaced in pain.

I focused more on Quinn while Evan tried to explain to Remus that he couldn't talk.  I watched him slowly, now knowing for certain that he isn't the real Quinn.

"Can everyone stop yelling?!"  Yelled an annoyed Virgil's voice from Roman's room.  "Some people actually want to get some sleep tonight!"

"You're yelling too!"  Remus yelled back.

"I'm only yelling cause you're yelling!"  Virgil yelled.  I heard a door open and than Roman and Virgil where at the stairs.

"Whats going on down here?"  Roman asked, obviously annoyed upon being woken up for the second time this night.

"Quinn tried to kill Evan,"  I hissed, still not taking my eyes off the imitation.

"No I didn't!"  Quinn yelled, distress covering his face.

"Liar!"  I said.

"You're the one that's lying!"  He yelled back.  "You are Deceit!  Why should anyone believe that?!"

"I watched you!"  I accused.  "You were holding this weird knife to his cheek!"

Evan pulled at Remus's shirt and started nodding frantically, agreeing with what I was saying.  Remus looked uneasily at Quinn now.

"Will everyone shut the fuck up and go to sleep?!"  Logan screeched from upstairs.

"You might wanna get down here!"  Roman yelled back up.  "Shits about to go down!"

"Roman, language!"  Patton chastised, walking down the stairs with an annoyed Logan in tow.

"Now whats going on kiddos?"  He asked, putting his hands on his hips.  Quinn instantly broke down into the most fake sobs I've ever seen.

"Everyone hates me!"  He sobbed.  "Deceit keeps yelling at me and now Evan is too!"  They...they're saying that I'm evil...I'm not...right?"

Patton went over and pulled Quinn into a tight hug.  He glared at me.

"No of course you are not evil,"  Patton told him gently.  "No one hates you."

"Than why is everyone being so mean to me?"  He mumbled, looking at Patton with tear filled eyes .

"They don't mean it,"  Patton said, hugging.  "We know you wouldn't do something like that."

"That's not Quinn!"  I yelled in frustration.  I moved to pull Patton away from the thing but Logan shoved me away.

"You need to stop,"  Logan told me.  "I don't know what's wrong with you, but stop."

"Have I ever been wrong before?"  I asked him.  "With Virgil or Patton when they got possessed by Corruption?"

"But it was obvious that something was wrong with them,"  Roman argued.  "Quinn is acting like his normal timid self."

"He's just acting,"  I argued back.

"We understand that you can sometimes sense these things, but you are wrong this time,"  Logan said forcefully.

"I'm not and I can prove it!"  I yelled, glaring at the fake Quinn.  "I have two ways to prove it."

Without waiting for anyone to say anything, I quickly returned to me room.  I opened up Kaa and Noodle's terrarium and gave them an apologetic look.  I picked up Kaa and draped him over my shoulders.  I let Noodle curl around my hand.

I went back downstairs.  Everyone screamed and backed away from the snakes.  Patton moved away from Quinn and back to Logan's side.  Patton fears snakes greatly.

I held Kaa out to Quinn, who backed away in fear.  To be fair, Kaa is a three foot long ball python, but Quinn always loved our snakes.

"Why won't you hold our snakes?"  I asked.  "I thought you loved them."

"I do,"  He said, a little too forcefully.  "I just don't want to hold them right now."

"I call bullshit,"  I growled, dropping Kaa onto his lap.  Quinn screamed and shoved the snake off him, who in turn hissed and raised up to bite.

"I thought you liked snakes Quinn,"  I said lowly.

"This one doesn't like me!"  He yelled.  "It never has and you know that!"

"If I remember correctly, you were cuddling with Kaa after you stabbed yourself," I said lowly.

The Not Quinn seemed to be blanking now. Not able to come up with anything to say. I could tell Kaa and Noodle were uneasy, sensing that this wasn't the real Quinn.

"When I worked for Corruption and he kept you in that room, what did you ask me every time I was able to visit you?" I asked him.

"What?" He gave me a confused look.

"Every time I visited you when you were being held by Corruption," I repeated. "What did you always ask me?"

"I don't know what you're talking about," Not Quinn mumbled.

"You should know this," I growled.

"I don't remember!" He tried to defend himself.

"Every. Single. Time." I hissed. "What did you ask me?!"

"I don't know!" Not Quinn yelled, breaking down into fake sobs.

"Deceit stop!" Patton yelled, standing between Not Quinn and I.

"Patton that is it Quinn," I said lowly. "Get away from it."

Patton ignored me and pulled the sobbing Not Quinn into a hug. And I instantly knew that this wasn't the real Quinn, and I think everyone else finally caught on.

Quinn gets sensory overload extremely easily because of his PTSD, therefore he hates having people touch him. He doesn't mind me touching him, but he has never reacted well to other people touching me.

"Wait..." Mumbled Patton, a confused expression crossing his face.

Not Quinn smirked over at me and quickly pulled a knife out of his hoodie pocket.  It was made of jagged black rock.

"Guess you should've listened to Deceit,"  He hissed into Patton's ear before slicing the knife across Patton's stomach.

Patton screamed out in pain and jumped backwards.  I lunged at Not Quinn.

Everything instantly erupted into chaos.  Virgil, Roman, and Logan rushed to Patton's side.  Patton was screaming out in pain as he tried to cover the bleeding cut in his stomach with his hands. Remus stood in front of Evan protectively.

"Get out of Quinn's body Corruption!"  I screamed at the thing, repeatedly slamming its head into the floor.  It laughed at the pain beside shoving me off it.  I landed heavily in Remus's arms.

"Foolish mortals!"  It screamed.  "I am not Corruption...oh no...I am much worse..."

We all froze in confusion, only Evan seeming unfazed by this new information.

We watched in horror as Quinn changing into...whatever that thing is.  It was as if his entire body was decaying. He was...melting.

Soon all that was left was a pile of blood and guts. Then the guts started to move and reform.

Tall, bony, pale and horrifying.  Black veins danced underneath it's skin.  Razor sharp teeth flickered in its mouth.  Pure black eyes, no hair.  Long gnarled black claws for hands.

A deafening silence filled the room. Everyone too shocked to say anything.

"Parasite person,"  Remus and I said, recognizing what is was.

"Now would be a good time to mention that my knife is laced with the new parasite," The thing said. "Destruction begins within an hour of infection."

Patton's face paled, fear very obvious on his face. I glanced down briefly to his slit stomach, the blood staining his shirt.

"It's too bad I fulfilled my duties here," The thing said. "I would have loved to stick around and kill you all. And you should really learn to listen to the snake more."

"Where is Quinn?" I asked, my hands shaking in anger. I have lost him too many times. I can't take loosing him anymore. I need him back now.

"Buried someone in the Pit," The parasite mumbled with a shrug. "It was fun tearing him apart. His screams were oh so beautiful. I got to rip all his guts out...spread them all over the floor...carve him into pieces. Oh it was fun...so much fun...we buried him deep in the Pit. Watched the water destroy him. But Corruption got to have more fun with him before he died if you catch my drift. Those were pretty sounds too..."

The parasite didn't get to finish that because I lunged at him. I landed heavily on it, chocking it.

"You fucking son of a bitch!" I screamed, pure rage filling me. It clawed back at me, scratching my arms. For once I was thankful for my scales because it's claws couldn't penetrate them.

I punched it hard in the nose, making black blood pour out of its nose.

"Wanna know what else I have permission to do?" The parasite said. "Kill anyone that gets in my way."

I froze as a sharp pain shot up my side. My mouth hung open, shock filling me. The shock overriding the pain.

I fell backwards, my hand clutching my side. My breathing deepened as I felt hot blood dripping down from the wound. I believed the wound to just be a cut, but I crumpled in pain when I tried to move.

I looked down in horror to see the parasite's knife sticking out of my side.
