I jolt up fiercely gasping for air, holding onto myself as if I'm the only lifeline bridging the gap between myself and reality. Fear pumps through my veins so fast I'm terrified they will explode.

I just can't do this anymore, a peaceful night is all I want.

I remove my blanket that is drenched with sweat, and jump off the bed, opening the door with my trembling hands.

Rushing out of the house I climbed onto my cycle as my auntie came to mind. I just have to be selfish right now. It's over. This time I will do it." I climb onto the bike.

The shrieking wind whipped back my hair as my legs soon begin to give up due to the intensity I am riding my bike. I stop abruptly in my tracks, shocked and confused.

"Harry is this why you were here the first time, were you planning to jump?" I says grabbing onto his arms desperately hoping for him to deny me.

"I'm sorry," he says as I hold onto his arm.

"Don't let go."

He lurches his body forward falling into the water as my mind goes blank

Thoughts of terror and confusion begin too devour my mind as I hopelessly try to breathe. A feeling of relief goes through her as she feels a huge weight being lifted of her shoulders. Her eyes open and her body whimpers to the familiar touch of Harry's arms that held onto her waist.

Sirens. The flashing red lights. The screeching tyres and Keening wail of the sirens that echoed throughout the neighbourhood and kept getting louder....and louder.

The vehicle came with aggressive speed as officers and paramedics came out walking in our direction. I know that they're here for Harry and I couldn't save him.

I turn my head to see a confused looking Harry as I blink to reassure myself. I wonder if it is a ghost?

A voice interrupts my thoughts. "A suspected suicide has taken place, with a female and male both dead, we presume they both jumped." The voice spoke.

I look at Harry as realisation hits me and my eyes feel blurry.

Maybe if she met him sooner, they would've found family in each other. Imagine how many lives they could of changed if they stayed;What If they didn't let go?
