(Grian's POV)

Amaine had layed her head on her desk ages ago. She had only just started to stare at me. I wondered what was going on in her head. I carried on working, trying not to get distracted. "Amaine?" Miss Okami asked why she wasn't doing her work. "Sidetracked, sorry Miss Okami." She snapped her head down (sorry if that didn't make sense, I just wanted to put that she put her head to face her work very quickly) and started to work.

RING RING!

She jumped up at the bell, running past everyone towards the dinner hall. I'd never seen her acting so... distant. Sam ran into the dinner hall. "Hey, Grian? Where did ya say Amaine was again?" He turned back to look at me. I shook my head. Where would she have gone?

(Amaine's POV)

I started at Grain unconsciously while he worked. He seemed to avert his eyes away from his work to look at me, but Miss Okami called me before I could confirm it. "Amaine? Why are you not working?" She asked. I lifted my head. "Sidetracked. Sorry, Miss Okami." I blurted out, then started to work.

RING RING!

I ran out before anyone else at the sound of the bell. I sat outside, staring at the grave of the previous teacher, Gareth. I jumped up when I heard Sam's voice, peeling my head round the corner. I saw Grain looking sideways, as if searching for me. I ran into the room and jumped onto him, making him fall over. "Payback from this morning!" I yelled in a sing-song tone. I looked down and grinned at him. He blushed. "I didn't jump on you... Too much payback!" He shouted, stumbling over his words slightly. I stood up seriously and held my hand down for him.
