Mitsuko kept staring at the sky and got many flashbacks from her past
Why did she help me?
Flashback
The 8 year old Mitsuko was crying as she ended up running away from home. All the beatings and bullying she couldn't take it no more. She had bruises and cuts on her body that it was hard for her to run. Mitsuko tripped and fell down. She panted heavily with tears rolling down her cheeks and stood back up as she kept running away
'I hate my life! Why do I have to get beaten up!? Why me!? I'm a worthless kid with no purpose in life! I deserve to die! I can't do it anymore! I can't! I want to die! I want to die!'
Mitsuko kept repeating it over and over in her head as she arrived near a bridge. She tried catching her breathe and kept running to the bridge. She stopped and looked at the dark night sky. She felt the wind hit her face and shivered since it was cold. Mitsuko wiped her tears and climbed over the bridge. She held on tightly and looked down
'Haha! What a pathetic daughter you are to the Taniguchi!'
'Wow you cry that easily? So pathetic'
'You're such a weakling. You can't do anything'
'I wish you were dead'
'Go and jump off a cliff or bridge or something'
'I bet your parents don't like you'
'Ha! Even your sister doesn't like you!'
'No body likes you. They'll just leave you'
'Fuck off...'
'Go and die...'
'Die loser...'
'How do you plan to succeed in life? All you are is just a little crybaby. What kind of daughter do I have? You should be ashamed. You're the worst Taniguchi I've ever met. You're a burden to this family. You don't deserve to be a Taniguchi. You are just a pathetic child. Sometimes I wish you were dead...'
Mitsuko teared up again and shut her eyes tightly
"I HATE YOU ALL! I WILL DIE! I'M JUST A PATHETIC LOSER THAT DOESN'T BELONG IN THIS GOD DAMN WORLD!" Mitsuko shouted and let go as she fell down to her death. Mitsuko kept her eyes shut until she felt someone catch her. Mitsuko gasped and turned around to see a hooded lady. The lady took her back up and put her down. Mitsuko fell on her knees and looked at the mysterious person
"Why...why...why would you safe me!? I DON'T DESERVE TO LIVE! I WANNA DIE! JUST KILL ME! I'M NOT WORTH TO SAVE! I'M A WASTE OF TIME! PLEASE KILL ME! I CAN'T DO THIS ANYMORE! JUST KILL ME!" Mitsuko shouted with tears rolling down her cheeks. The hooded lady looked down at her and sighed
"Don't beat yourself up kid...you are special and important to this world" The lady said. Mitsuko cried and clenched her fists tightly. The lady kneeled down and stroked the younger girl's hair softly
"You are important and there is a purpose for you in this life. You must help me..." The lady said
"H-help you? O-on what?" Mitsuko asked and sniffed. The lady wiped her tears away and helped her back up to her feet
"Mitsuko...will you help me protect the people in this world?" The lady asked
"H-huh? Protect? W-wait wh-why? Wait how do you know my name?" Mitsuko asked
"I know everything..." The lady said
"A-and what is this protect thing? Protect who?" Mitsuko asked
"Do you want to help those in need and protect those who are hurt too?" The lady asked. Mitsuko trembled and looked up at her
"Wh-why? Why sh-should I? I-I'm not strong enough...I can't even defend for myself" Mitsuko said looking down
"Nonsense Mitsuko you are the one who can do this. You do know you're not the only kid in this world who gets abused and bullied right?" The lady asked
"Yeah I know that..." Mitsuko said. The lady reached her hand out and a small glowing orb. Mitsuko's eyes widen seeing the orb and was about to touch it but the lady pulled her hand away
"Mitsuko what you are about to witness is something powerful and dangerous. This power has an evil side to it. You must understand that this power could harm others but it can protect others. Are you willing to use these powers and fight for those who need help and protection?" The lady asked and reached her hand out again. Mitsuko looked at her and looked at the orb
"Y-yes ma'am" Mitsuko said and grabbed the orb. The orb glowed and it vanished entering inside Mitsuko's body. Mitsuko shut her eyes and once it was complete she slowly opened her eyes. The lady stood in front of her and grabbed her hoodie pulling it down revealing herself
"Wh-who are you?" Mitsuko asked
"Call me...Lady Liana" Liana said and smiled

Mitsuko sighed deeply and looked down. She looked at her palm and clenched her fist tightly
What the hell am I doing with my life? This is all bullshit...fucking around with my sister...ugh...Mitsuko what are you doing? Almost arrested for fucking with a kid. Why did I turn into such a disgusting pedo? All because of her...she's the one to blame for all this...if she hadn't left me back there none of this would've happened...even though she left me a while ago
"Micchan? Is that you?" A woman's voice spoke. Mitsuko's eyes widen and felt her heartache.
There is only one person in this world that called me by that...
Mitsuko was scared to turn around but she slowly looked to her side. Her eyes met with a pair of beautiful aqua eyes
"M-micchan...it really is you..." Maruta said softly. Mitsuko just looked down and clenched her fists tightly. She turned around and went to ger motorcycle. Maruta ran up to her motorcycle and stopped her from getting on
"M-micchan please listen" Maruta pleaded. Mitsuko glared at her and looked away
"You and I have nothing to talk about so just leave me be...I have to head home" Mitsuko said
"Micchan please...l-let me explain" Maruta said
"There is no need to fuckin explain..." Mitsuko growled
"There is!" Maruta said
"Shut up I don't want to hear it!" Mitsuko said raising voice which scared Matuta a bit. Mitsuko glared at her and walked away
"I'm leaving..." Mitsuko said. Maruta clenched her fists tightly and teared up
"I love you Micchan!" Maruta shouted and blushed in embarrassment. Mitsuko stopped and felt her heart skip a beat. She slowly turned around and glared at her
What did she just say? Did I hear that right? Is it true or...is she fucking with me?
Mitsuko didn't know what to do but sighed in defeat as she walked back to her
"This better be good..." Mitsuko said
"Micchan...I know I left without saying anything but...there is a reason..." Maruta said. Mitsuko stayed silent and kept glaring at her
"Go on..." Mitsuko said
"M-my father found out about my plan..." Maruta said
"Huh? A plan? For what?" Mitsuko asked
"I-I wanted to escape my house. I wanted to run away and live with my friend but when my parents found out...they decided to take me away with them" Maruta said
"Why did you wanted to run away?" Mitsuko asked
"I-if I was able to escape them...then m-maybe I would've been able to be with you" Maruta said looking down fidgeting with her fingers
"Be w-with me?" Mitsuko asked
"I-I like you...m-more than a friend..." Maruta said and blushed deeply. Mitsuko blushed but looked away
What the hell am I suppose to say? What is going on today? First Harumi telling me that she wants to fix our sister bond now I bumped into Maruta then out of nowhere she says she likes me?
Her thoughts were interrupted by a warm feeling that made her heart skip a beat. Mitsuko blushed deeply as Maruta pulled her into a hug. Maruta blushed deeply and heard Mitsuko's heart beat. Mitsuko had many emotions going through her head that her body moved on it's own and hugged her back. Maruta's eyes widen and blushed even more. Mitsuko buried her face in her shoulder and held her closely
"I missed you..." Mitsuko whispered as a tear rolled down her cheek

"Oh...so that's what happened?" Soha asked and placed her cup of tea down
"Yes...and now I don't know what to do with Himeko. I never thought Damon had to guts to hurt her..." Celeste said
"Do you think it's time? I mean...you can divorce him. You already have someone to inherit the family's name" Soha said
"But won't Damon try something? Besides...you know he still can't forget the past" Celeste said
"I guess he has a daughter right?" Soha asked
"Yes and they look so alike..." Celeste said and smiled a bit
"What's her name?" Soha asked
"Shai Okogi" Celeste said
"Ah her name sounds like her father's name. They must've names her after him..." Soha said
"More like he wanted that name for her. I bet Kallen wouldn't want that for her daughter" Celeste said
"Do you still hate her?" Soha asked
"No...but she's the one who still hates me" Celeste said
"Really? I thought you two already solved your problems" Soha said
"It seems Kallen hasn't gotten over it. She pisses me off and not because I'm jealous but because she doesn't care for Shai. I mean it looks like she is but after what Shai has heard from her I think she won't forgive her for that..." Celeste said
"What happened?" Soha asked
"Her mother started talking bad about her and her father. The way they look so alike that it scares her since...he was a murder but it wasn't his fault. If only she could see the good side in him. He always helped out others and was always able to put a smile on your face. I really do miss him so much...I just wish I was able to help him sooner" Celeste said
"He really was a great man..." Soha said
"Hey...what about your daughters? How have they been?" Celeste said
"A bit of trouble with the rumors but everything is fine..." Soha said
"So it is true that you took in that Mizusawa kid?" Celeste asked
"Yes...of course. I just couldn't leave her all alone with her abusive parents. Besides...she lost both her grandparents" Soha said
"Both of them?" Celeste asked
"Her grandmother passed away. Her grandfather...well...all he said was to help him take care of Matsuri for him and to love her..." Soha said and looked down
"You must really care for her" Celeste said
"Of course. She means so much to me. Honestly...she reminds me so much about Mitsuko when she was younger" Soha said and teared up
Flashback
Mitsuko was sitting down on the chair. She was covered in bruises and tears. The other girls sat down as well since they were all reported and sent to the principal's office. Mitsuko trembled and whimpered as she looked down. Their parents arrived at the office and the principal explained the situation
"There have been several reports about Mitsuko being bullied in this school. We've tried talking with her but Mitsuko keeps denying it" The principal said
"That's because it's true. I-I only fell" Mitsuko said
"Those injuries don't seem from a fall" The principal said. Soha held Mitsuko's hand tightly and looked at her
"Mitsuko...just be honest" Soha said. Mitsuko just looked down and stayed silent
"This is a waste of time" The girl said
"Yeah and we had nothing to do with it" The other girl said. The girls began to complain that even their parents joined in. Soha gritted her teeth and stood up
"Shut up! You parents don't know how to take care of your own children or able to teach them what not to do! Your the ones to blame for this! You girls should be ashamed of yourselves for hurting your classmate. I want every single one of you to forgive her right now and leave her alone" Soha said sternly. One of the mothers stood up and walked up to Soha
"Don't tell my girl what to do. It's not our fault your daughter is going through all this. If she weren't such a weakling then maybe this wouldn't-"
SLAP!
Everyone's eyes widen as Soha slapped the woman. Mitsuko's eyes widen and trembled seeing this side of her mother. Soha may be a sweet and nice woman with a wonderful bright smile but she also has a serious and stern side. She even has a scary glare that many are afraid of. Even Mitsuko herself was afraid of her mother's glare
"M-Mrs. Taniguchi pl-please calm down" The principal said. Soha just glared at the principal making him jump. Soha looked at Mitsuko and walked away
"Let's go Mitsuko" Soha said
"Y-yes mother" Mitsuko said standing up and followed her mother. She turned around earning a glare from all the girls...even the adults too which scared Mitsuko. Mitsuko gulped and walked out the office. Soha and Mitsuko went back home and once they arrived Soha's expression soften
"Mitsuko...why haven't you said anything? You should've told me about this..." Soha said. Mitsuko looked down and clenched her fists tightly
"I-I wasn't able to...they-they would've beaten me up e-even more" Mitsuko said and tried to hold in her tears. Soha teared up seeing her daughter upset and walked up to her. She kneeled down and hugged her tightly
"Mitsuko...you shouldn't keep things away from me. I'm your mother and I'm here for you. I'm always here by your side to love and protect you. You shouldn't be afraid to tell me things that are happening to you. I will do whatever it takes for you to be happy and safe in school. Those girls won't hurt you ever again...no one will hurt you ever again. I promise but please promise me to tell me everything that happens to you. Your mother will do her very best to help you because I love you so much Mitsuko" Soha said. Mitsuko hugged her mother back and buried her face on her shoulder as she started to cry
"M-mama...I'm s-sorry..." Mitsuko cried and held onto her mother tightly. Soha stroked her hair softly and held her
"It's okay Mitsuko and don't be scared. I know you are strong. Just ignore them and don't listen to any of them. It may be hard at first but you'll learn and if they hurt you tell the your teacher or me okay?" Soha asked
"O-okay" Mitsuko said and looked down. Soha wiped her tears and kissed her forehead softly
"C-can I be strong l-like you?" Mitsuko asked as tears rolled down her cheeks
"You are my daughter. Of course you'll get strong once you're older. One day you'll become a strong woman Mitsuko" Soha said and kissed her forehead softly. Mitsuko smiled a bit and hugged her mother tightly
"Thanks Mama. I love you too" Mitsuko whispered

"Even if Mitsuko is old enough to take care of herself...I just can't help but think she's hiding something" Soha said
"I'm sure it's nothing to worry about" Celeste said
"Yeah...I hope so..." Soha said
