Appearance
The first thing one might notice about Val is her wild, very unkempt locks. Strands of dirty blonde hair are askew in many different directions, no rhyme nor reason to its appearance. It ends around her shoulders, for she cuts it every few weeks to days. Valerie prefers to keep her hair away from her face, as her father says it gets in the way of seeing her beautiful features. So, in most circumstances, the girl has her hair pulled back into a low ponytail, which also helps her appearance.
The next trait of this girl anyone might notice is her stunning eyes. They are a combination of an azure and a lime, what most might describe as a sea green color. But, the beautiful mixture of the hues isn't the most striking feature about Val's irises. Specks of silver and gold seem to dance around with each blink, like a fireworks spectacle across a vast sky. Those in the Capitol might consider it to die for.
Valerie, though she comes from a lofty family, is petite in size, her frame only reaching to around 5'2. Her siblings, cousins, and all of her relatives feel the need to pick on her for this. But, she did inherit the Elona family pale complexion. A covering of skin wraps around her entire body, a few cuts and scrapes denting it. A set of freckles also rests on the bridge of her nose as well as her cheeks, gifted to her by her mother. The only final addition to Valerie is the charcoal colored frames that rest on her nose, helping her to see the world in clearer images. But, for the games, the Capitol has fixed her vision.
Personality
Val was diagnosed with MPD, more commonly known as Multiple Personality Disorder, at the age of seven. It is a disease that is almost never found in young children, especially a seven year old. Doctors from District Three discussed and debated the cause of such a strange occurrence, and ended up with inconclusive results. Her father blamed it on the loss of her mother just a year earlier. Valerie was very close with her mother, occasionally being the only person that she would ever converse. He stated that after her mother's death, the child shielded herself from the outside world, hoping to never feel that pain again.
Around ten months after the loss of her mother, Valerie began to change. She became ruthless, a cold-blooded and vicious being. Her father claimed that her MPD was the cause, stating that she only grew one new personality. The girl became a feared name after almost fatally stabbing her best friend during a 'play-date' at her house. For almost the next four weeks she was confined to solitude in her bedroom. Those close began to describe her as horrific to watch, feeling no emotions or attachment to anything nor anyone.
During the last week of her solitude, her personality shifted back into the young girl she was before the passing of her mother. Valerie was released from solitude, now beaming, joyful, and a delight to be around. She became curious, adventurous and daring, as one might describe 'the spitting image of her deceased mother.' Her father believed that her vicious self-had faded away once and for all, until three days later when she attacked peacekeepers who murdered someone for conspiracy against the Capitol. The young child was forced into solitude once more, drugged every single time her personality flared with ambition. Though to one, it seemed as if Valerie was controlling her actions, no person knowing how she truly felt...
Strengths
Though it is also a weakness, her MPD is a strength. The cold-blooded killer portion of Valerie, who she calls Jackie, is a skilled fighter, a vicious being with no second thoughts about murdering or injuring. Another strength is her size. Though she is petite, it is a strength for she can fit into tight spaces, and Val is also able to hide in places her larger competitors would never be able to go into. Finally, Valerie is a genius, as most who live in District Three find themselves to be.
Weaknesses
Valerie has minimal control over when Jackie is released. No matter how hard she tries, she works to no avail in containing the beast inside her. Also, if Valerie finds herself stuck, not being able to release Jackie, she stands little to no chance against her larger and older competitors. Val also can be a bit too curious, her nature possibly leading her into various horrors and troubles. As many people know, curiosity killed the cat.
Preferred Weapon
Valerie's preferred weapon is herself, or at least, the release of Jackie. The Jackie portion of this young girl, however, prefers to fight with a knife, because it is much easier to kill with and also much easier to bring fright into her victims.
Alliance Views
Val does not believe in alliances in this game because she can't control Jackie. Jackie, to her, has her own mind and does not care for partnering with others.
Other
Nothing, for now at least.
