Mercy (Manny x Lucy)

Manny's heart was beating a mile a minute. The navy haired boy crashed down behind a thick tree, his breathing loud and unsteady.
He didn't want this.
He didn't want this.
For almost a two years now the boy had been in a never ending loop of tragic events, almost all of them involving a girl named Lucy.
Who was Lucy, you may ask?
At first glance, she seemed like a wonderful girl; her eyes were bright and blue, her skin was clear, her hair was long, and coloured a magnificent shade of pink, and she had a warm smile that could light up the Galaxy. Manny would even say that she was beautiful. Lucy had a loving, caring nature to her, which was nothing to fear, but in some cases her actions would get...out of hand.
On the positive side, she would do anything for someone she cared deeply about, but on the negative side, she would do anything for someone she cared deeply about.
At first their friendship was nothing but child's play. It was just a small crush, puppy love at the most, but as time progressed, the 13 year old was acting like this was mad love to her.
Lucy was determined to show Manny how much she loved him, she wanted to make him love her as much as she did. When her toxic attitude clashed with Manny's naive and care free personality, things normally didn't end well.
The girl had given him love letters upon love letters, presents up one gifts. She called him every single day, and would never hesitate to give him a hug, whether he asked for it or not. One would say the so called 'love' she had for Manny was infatuation, but most of the things she did were praised highly by the cult leader Shrignold.
Manny thought the love letters and frequent calls were cute at first, but then things only went downhill from there.
Lucy would call more than once in a day, asking him if he was hanging out with someone else, and accusing him of 'cheating' on her when they weren't even in a serious relationship in his eyes.
She would write love letters with such...passion, if that's what you would like to call it.
She would send him strange gifts, such as expensive stolen articles, and dead animals.
Honestly, the boy was starting to wonder why he he befriended her in the first place.
He didn't dare tell her that she was making him feel uncomfortable. He didn't want to hurt her feelings...
In this state, Lucy seemed like a person who wouldn't care if someone left her, but in reality she was so fragile that simply forgetting to text her back would make her lose her mind.
He never thought she would go this far, but she did, and it and it made Manny feel absolutely terrible.
Lucy had committed murder.
For him.
The blue haired boy sat behind the tree, sobbing quietly.
He knew something was wrong when he saw the way Lucy looked at his new friend.
Just a couple days ago, Manny had met a girl named Lilianna, whom he introduced to Lucy.
Lilianna was the type of girl to wear flower crowns in winter. She would giggle at anything, and it was part of her nature to be oddly connected with the Earth. She was happy go lucky, like Manny was. All the more reason to get rid of her.
He should have never told Lucy about her, because Lucy was so controlled by jealousy that she has tried to harm Harry and Robin in the past.
Manny knew this love would be the end of him, yet he was so addicted to the girl. He was only attached to the part of her he became friends with when he was small...not this love-sick demon she has become.
Now his friend was dead, and it was all his fault.
Lucy had to make sure that it was clear to him that the boy's heart belonged to her, and only her.
Just three days after Lucy met Manny's new acquaintance, she found out everything about her, including the fact that she was a part of Shrignold's cult. She stalked her until the time was right, and she decided to cut that pretty little head of hers right .off of her body, since Manny seemed to be so fond of the flowers she put in her hair.
"Manny!~~" the girl sang.
Her hands were covered in blood, and her white dress was ripped, stained with sins.
The boy stared in horror at what Lucy had done. He didn't know what to say. He didn't know what to do. All for know, the only way he could react was shaking and crying.
"What's wrong Manny? Don't you like your gift?" She asked, dropping the head at his feet.
Just a while ago that head belonged to a girl who was alive, breathing, smiling, laughing. A girl who was experiencing life like the rest of them.
But now she was gone.
"I did it for you! Manny! " Lucy exclaimed, a wide smile decorating her face.
Her grin faded to a bitter frown once she realized he wasn't being as appreciative as she hoped he would.
"...why...? Why don't you like it....? D-do you not love me...?! I did this so that you would love me!! " she giggled, her laughter turning into hysterical sobbing.
She had just killed someone, and ironically, the guilt was killing her slowly. But now was not a time for remorse. It was a time for love.
Manny quickly fled the scene, crying loudly as he ran into the near by forest. And here he was now, mourning the sudden death of his friend.
He found himself lucky that Lucy didn't kill him then and there. Honestly it seemed like she would. The navy haired boy sniffled and wiped his tears, only for more to fall out of his puffy green eyes.
" Manny...?" Called a small, all too familiar voice.
Manny jumped as Lucy emerged out of the bushes, holding a knife.
He gasped, his choked sobs turning into nervous whimpers as the female got closer. "I'm not going to hurt you...." She mumbled, dropping the blood stained knife and kneeling down in front of him.
Manny scooted back, hugging his knees, at a total loss of words. He could only manage to squeak the word ,"why...?"
" I...I don't know...." She mumbled in response. Tears stung at her eyes. "I don't know why I did it I...I-I'm so sorry, Manny...." She sobbed. "It's just that sometimes I feel l-like you don't love me, a-and it pushes me to do things like this....!!"
Manny frowned, crinkling his nose at the scent of blood.
"I'm sorry...!! Please! Please forgive me Manny, I can't live without you...!!" The girl cried.
The small male refused to reply, for he didn't know how.
Lucy's breathing hitched. "I-If you don't love me, I-I'm going to die...!" She spoke shakily, as she picked up the knife. "I'm going to die right here!" She shouted.
The boy's eyes widened, and he quickly slapped the knife out of her trembling hands.
"Lucy...." He started, tears clouding his vision. "I already love you..."
The words were like a breath of fresh air to Lucy. Her pained expression softened for just a moment.
"But this..." He continued ," this isn't you,"
Lucy was shaking violently. She couldn't believe that after all the hardships she had put him through, he still had the will power to say he loved her. He still showed her mercy.
"It's time to be you again, Lucy..."
Manny embraced the quivering girl, rubbing her back as she sobbed softly into the crook of his neck.
"I love you,"
