Ambers POV:

"DAD, THE CAB IS HERE!!!" I yell as I hear the car honking outside. I sit on my suitcase as I try to close it, almost ready to leave my life behind and start a new one at Westington University. Just as the zipper finally budges, I grab my bags and run downstairs. Forgetting the luggage is heavy, the suitcases force me down the stairs causing me to trip and send me rolling all the way down.

"Shit, so much for a fresh start" I groan.

"What the fuck, are you okay?!" Dad says. I don't respond, but he helps me get myself together.

I drag the bags outside and wait for the taxi driver to unlock the trunk. When he does, I open it up and, woah, it smells like shit, but I still throw the suitcases in. I hop in the backseat and he's about to drive off when, "WAIT, I FORGOT MY PHONE!" I hear him mumble 'motherfucker' under his breath, but ignore it because what am I gonna do?

I run upstairs and my father looks at me confused. I unplug my phone and grab the charger, then run back downstairs. "Of course, you forgot you phone. Come here." he kisses my forehead and we exchange I love you's.

I run out and jump back into the backseat. "I think your forgetting something" the cab driver says. He glances over at my seatbelt indicating to put it on. "C'mon, I'm not five" I say, and he replies with "And I not paying for a ticket because of you. Just put it on you little shit." Once again, I didn't respond and did as he said.

~Le Time Skip~

We finally arrive and I kinda have to pee. I give the cab driver the money, take out my suitcases and just and he's starting to drive off, I stick out my middle finger in the car's direction and yell "FUCK YOU!!!!!"

At this point all of the families in the parking lot hugging their children looked at me shocked. Oh well, fuck it.

"Damn what did he do to you"

I turn around to see a pretty girl laughing.

"My name's Quinn. Yours?"'

"Amber" I responded with a smile.

At that moment, I knew we were gonna be best friends.
