Ash and Serena have adopted a daily training timetable. They always train together in the forest to get better, together.

It is the weekend now. Serena has decided that she needs to get ready for performing so she'll need to go shopping. Serena wanted to ask the girls if they wanted to come along, however, Misty had been missing since early in the morning. Dawn and May had a Coordinators meeting. Iris was completely uninterested by the concept of shopping and Mallow was nowhere to be found.

Serena, therefore, decided to go alone.

We join her as she is exiting her room.

No-One's POV

As Serena walked out of her room, she heard footsteps descending from the floor above. This meant that it was one of the boys from her group of friends. She watched on as the figure came into view. Messy hair with a cap on top and a certain yellow fuzzball perched on his shoulder.

"Hi Ash!" said Serena as he walked over to the boy.

"Oh, hey Serena!" he replied while waving at her.

"What are you doing up so early?" asked Serena. She had known Ash for 6 weeks now and she knew that he never got up before noon during weekends. Seeing him up and running at 10AM was definitely surprising to her.

"We've run out of ketchup for Pikachu and I am thinking of catching some new Pokemon, so I'm going to Lumiose City to buy some things." he replied.

"Really?" Serena asked with an excited tone. "I'm going to Lumiose too. I need to buy some some dresses for showcases. I'll probably buy accessories for my Pokemon too!" she finished.

"How about we go together then? Having some company is always nice, right? It has been a long time since I got to freely roam Lumiose City too, so, do you want to come along?" asked Ash.

"Sure, that sounds fun!" chirped Serena.

The two then started walking out of KIT and towards Lumiose. Their conversations mostly consisted of their past experiences. Serena started talking about her childhood. She started telling Ash about how she grew up in Vaniville Town. How she would travel around to various regions with her mother when she was not a retired Rhyhorn racer. Serena then went on to talk about her friends, previous schools etc.

Ash then started telling Serena about all his adventures. About punching Mewtwo, about his Aura, about him being friends with Arceus, about him riding Mega Latios while commanding a Mega Rayquaza. He also talked about the little things, like how he caught Charmander and Froakie. He also talked about his experiences and the leagues he has taken part in.

As the conversation carried on, the two made their way to Central Lumiose, where the shopping district is. It took them a whole hour to get to Lumiose City.

"We're finally here!" squealed Serena.

Ash looked around and immediately gulped. Every single building had huge glass windows with various types of clothes on display and, judging by Serena's facial expression, Ash knew that he had to visit every single store.

Of course, he wasn't obliged to do so. He could easily walk away and leave Serena to shop all by herself... but he didn't have the heart to do so. He didn't mind spending time with Serena, however, like every other male, he hated shopping... especially with women. He used to go shopping with his own mom when he was little and running around in circles, looking at every single object in the store was not his idea of fun.

"Ash! Can we go have a look at those stores? Oh, please, please, please?" asked Serena while clasping her hands together while giving Ash her puppy dog eyes.

However, he enjoyed spending time with Serena. She made Ash feel happy with all the energy that she possess. Just watching her act like a child asking her parents to visit a toy store made Ash chuckle.

"Alright Serena, let's go!" said Ash, trying to sound enthusiastic for her.

As the two went in, Ash followed Serena around the store as she looked at every single piece of clothing in the whole store... She then decided that she didn't like any of them. She then moved on to another store and Ash followed her. She didn't like anything there either. This kept happening. Serena was visiting every single store. She did end up buying some things for her Pokemon. She bought a white and red dress for Delphox, a ribbon for Sylveon and a pair of sunglasses for Pancham.

Serena had visited almost every single shop and there were only a couple of them left that she hadn't visited. Serena spotted a shop called 'Saffron Connection' and her eyes lit up at the dresses that were on display.

"Ash, lets go there!" she said pointing towards the shop.

"Sure, lets go!" replied Ash, managing to smile at Serena. At this point, Ash was completely exhausted and very hungry. 

The two entered the store. Serena started looking around, and, to Ash's (and Pikachu's) surprise, there were a lot of clothes that she did like. She picked out about half a dozen clothes and started walking towards the changing rooms.

"Hey Ash? I'm going to try these on. Would you mind telling me how I look?" asked Serena.

"Of course not! Go on, get changed, I'll wait out here." replied Ash as he sat down on a chair while smiling at Serena.

Serena walked into the room and started getting changed into the dresses. Each time she walked out and confronted Ash about his opinion on her dress, Ash would always be left breathless. Ash thought that all of them looked good on her.

Serena went into the changing rooms to change one final time. This time, when Serena walked out. Ash was left completely speechless. He had been breathless before, but this was on a whole new level. It was a pink dress with white sleeves. It was exposed from the shoulders up. There was a big, red ribbon in the middle and there was a red skirt with a black outline over the dress's skirt. (It is Serena's dress that she wore during her very first showcase)

"So, how do I look?" asked Serena as she twirled around.

"You look... s-stunning. It really does look great on you Serena!" replied Ash with a lot of enthusiasm in his voice.

Serena smiled and blushed.

"Thank you, Ash." she replied shyly and returned to the changing room. 

Ash spots something from the corner of his eyes.

"Hey, Serena? I'll meet you at the counter, alright?" asked Ash.

"Okay!" replied Serena with a sweet smile.

As soon as Serena went inside, Ash walked over the the object and thought 'Perfect!'. He then paid for it and put it in his backpack. After a while, Serena arrived and paid for the dresses. Serena had bought all 6 dresses. Ash carried two of her bags while Serena only carried one. Serena told Ash that she was capable of carrying all three, but Ash insisted and Serena eventually gave in.

"Serena, do you want to go for lunch? I'm really hungry!" said Ash.

Serena giggled. "Sure Ash, there's this really nice cafe just around the corner. You'll love it there." she said.

"Alright! Let's go eat!" exclaimed Ash happily.

"PIKA!" shouted Pikachu with equal amount of excitement.

The two, along with Pikachu, then made their way to the cafe. It was a small cafe. The walls were made out of laminated dark wood and there were wooden pillars throughout the room holding the ceiling up. There were small circular tables that could hold 4 people. The cafe was relatively empty.

As the two entered the cafe, they looked around. As Serena was looking around, some orange hair caught her attention. It seemed familiar... extremely familiar. As she started walking towards the person, Serena noticed that the person wasn't alone. In fact, sitting opposite the person was someone with spiky mahogany hair. Serena gasped loudly as realisation hit her like a bus. Ash heard Serena's gasp and turned to look at her.

"What's wrong Serena?" asked Ash.

Serena just pointed towards the two people while squealing a little.

"No way!" Ash whispered.

"GARY!? MISTY!?" shouted Ash.

Serena quickly covered Ash's mouth and pulled him around a corner and pushed him against a wall.

"What are you doing? Let's leave them alone!" whisper-yelled Serena.

Serena was glaring at Ash when she heard another voice.

"Well, well, well. What do we have here?" said the voice.

Serena and Ash shifted their gaze to the voice to see none other than Gary and Misty smirking at the two.

"Wha-" Serena started but then immediately realised the position they were in. Serena quickly removed her hand from Ash's face and placed it behind her while Ash just stood there chuckling nervously.

"Hmm, Ashy-Boy. What where you two doing?" asked Gary who still had a devious smile on his face.

"I think we should be the ones asking the same question to you and Misty." replied Ash.

This caused the two Kantonese (is that right?) to blush heavily.

"I- we... um... uh..." said Gary trying to cover everything up.

Misty, too, was flustered, however, she soon gave a sigh of defeat.

"We might just as well tell them Gary. They are our friends after all!" said Misty.

This caught both Ash's and Serena's attention.

"Tell us what?" asked Serena.

"Well, you see, Gary and I are in a relationship. We have been in one for over 4 months now." said Misty while hugging Gary's arm.

Ash and Serena looked at Gary who was nodding with a content smile on his face.

Serena squealed with happiness and tackled Misty into a hug while Ash shot a confused look at Gary.

"Why didn't you tell us earlier Gary?" asked Ash.

"Well, we didn't want to make a big deal out of it. We were happy together and decided to keep it a secret." said Gary while shrugging his shoulders.

"Oook..." replied Ash, who was still confused as to why they would want to keep it a secret.

"Besides, what are you and Serena doing here?" asked Gary.

"Yeah, are you guys on a date too?" asked Misty with a smirk.

"Wh-What? NO!" replied Ash while blushing a little.

"We were just shopping! Ash was hungry and that's why we came here." continued Serena, who was blushing too.

Gary and Misty giggled at the reaction of the two.

"Fine, come on you two. We were just about to order our food too." said Misty while inviting Ash and Serena to their table.

"What? No. You two enjoy your time. We'll go to some other cafe." replied Serena.

"Nonsense! We'll eat together. After all, we are friends right?" asked Gary.

"Yeah, that's true." replied Ash.

"Besides, it will be like a double date." said Gary while smirking.

"H-huh?" was all Serena could manage as the blush on her face reemerged. Ash was frozen stiff. He didn't know what to do.

Misty punched Gary's arm lightly.

"Gary, stop doing this to them. Ash, Serena, come sit with us." said Misty while smiling at the two.

Ash and Serena smile at the two and make their way to the table. After having lunch, the group of 4 decided to walk out of the cafe.

"Well, Gary and I are heading back to the dorms now. Are you guys coming too?" asked Misty.

"I have to go buy some stuff. Serena, you can go back if you want to." said Ash. He didn't want to say that. He wanted Serena to stay with him, but he didn't want to bore her. Ash thought that Serena would have been tired from all the running around so she could use some rest.

"What? No! I'll go with you Ash." said Serena while smiling at Ash, which caused Ash to smile back at her.

"Alright you two lovebirds. Have fun!" Gary teased.

"GARY!!" shouted Ash and Serena simultaneously while blushing immensely.

This caused Gary and Misty to break out in laughter.

"Alright, I'll see you two later today then." said Misty as her and Gary started making their way back to the dorms.

Ash watched the two as they disappeared into the crowd. Ash then looked at his watch to see that it was 5:45 already.

"Oh fish. Serena, lets go. We need to hurry!" said Ash as he grabbed hold of Serena's had and started dragging her through the crowd.

Serena was taken aback by Ash's action and was blushing immensely.

"What's the hurry Ash?" asked Serena.

"Today's Saturday. The store I need to go to closes at 6. We only have 15 minutes to get there." Ash exclaimed while running.

Ash was still oblivious to the fact that he was holding Serena's hand. The two started weaving their way though the crowd until they arrived at the Lumiose PokeMart.

"Phew" Ash sighed a breath of relief while Serena just giggled.

Ash then froze as he realised that he was still holding Serena's hand. Serena noticed this. She had completely forgotten that Ash was holding her hand.

"What's wrong Ash?" asked Serena.

This unfroze Ash as he let go of Serena's hand. He immediately regretted doing so and he enjoyed holding her hand.

"S-Sorry!" exclaimed Ash as he blushed.

Serena remembered as soon as Ash let go. She too felt a little disappointed, but embarrassment was the dominant feeling for her right now. She then blushed and replied.

"I-It's alright." she said.

There was an awkward silence for a while until Serena spoke up again.

"Are we going to stay out here until the shop closes?" asked Serena.

"Ah fish!" exclaimed Ash as he ran into the shop with only around a couple minutes remaining.

Serena giggled at Ash's behaviour. She followed Ash into the store as he bought around 10 pokeballs and 5 bottles of ketchup. Seeing that much ketchup in one place excited Pikachu a lot. After paying for them, Ash and Serena walked out of the store. It was not 6PM and the sun was already setting.

"Serena, do you want to go back now?" asked Ash.

"I thought you wanted to look around the city." said Serena, slightly confused as to why Ash would ask that.

"I do, but aren't you tired? I mean, you were walking nonstop for like 6 hours." said Ash sweat-dropping.

Serena giggled and the replied. "I am a little tire Ash, but I can definitely hold on a little longer."

Ash chuckled. "If you say so." he replied.

The two of them decided to walk around the city. They went to the Prism tower so see it light up at 6:30. They then walked over towards the Conference Park. Conference Park is the park next to the arena where they held the Lumiose Conference three years ago. It lies on top of a hill north of Lumiose city while KIT lies on the south.

The two of them walked in a comfortable silence. There was nothing that was needing to be said. They just enjoyed each other's company.

By the time they got to the Conference Park, it was already 7PM. The sun had already set, but the walkways in the park was beautifully illuminated by street lamps. It was a relatively chilly Autumn evening. There were dried leaves under all the trees.

Ash and Serena walked around the park to get some fresh air. Walking around the city after such a long time in the KIT felt weird to both of them. 

Serena then thought about her day with Ash. He had only needed a couple of things that he could have bought in a matter of minutes, but he decided to spend the whole day with her. He was still carrying two of her bags. Serena found this really nice of him. The more she thought about Ash, the more she fell for him... but she knew that she still had competition. Especially from the girl from his childhood who stole his heart.

Serena wanted to know more about this girl. She knew that it would hurt her. The way Ash talked about this girl made her very jealous. She wanted Ash to talk about her in the same way.

"Hey, Ash. Can you tell me more about that girl from your childhood? Last time, you didn't tell me how you guys met. We have all the time in the world right now." said Serena while looking expectantly at Ash.

Ash looked at her, sighed and the chuckled while shaking his head.

"You remembered that?" asked Ash. 

"Of course I did." said Serena while smiling widely at him.

"Well, you see, the moment I got to summer camp, I saw her standing in the far corner of the field, all by herself. I wanted to go talk to her but Gary came out of nowhere and dragged me away to meet his friends. He made me spend the whole day with his friends. All I could think of was that girl.

The next day, I didn't see her at all. Nor did I see the day after. I was tarting to panic a little. I really wanted to meet her. The camp was only a week long too. 3 days had already passed and I couldn't find her at all. On the 4th day, however, all the kids were free to roam around the Professor's ranch. I used to love Pokemon a lot and when I found a Poliwag, I ran after it to befriend it. I must have scared it because it ran away into the bushes as soon as it saw me coming. I followed it without thinking and then heard a scream. I couldn't tell where it was coming from. It just echoed around the whole place. I didn't know what to do so I just followed the Poliwag.

Soon, it jumped through a huge bush. I was a bit hesitant at first. For all I knew, there could have been an Ursaring behind it. I decided to follow the Poliwag anyways and I found a clearing.

In that clearing, what I saw took my blew me away. Sitting there, on the floor, I was met with the most beautiful blue eyes I have ever seen. They still leave me breathless to this day. 

And that's how I met her." Ash finished.

He had a comfortable smile on his face while he stared up towards the sky. The two were sitting down on a bench beside the walkway.

Serena watched as Ash described her as the most precious thing in the world. Serena knew that he really loved her and still does.She knew this was going to happen. Her heart was aching. It was aching a lot more that it did that day, in that cave. This only indicated to her that that her feelings for the Raven-haired boy sitting next to her right now had only grown stronger.

"Wow..." was all Serena could say.

After a moment of silence, Serena continued.

"What happened after that?" asked Serena.

"I was hoping you would tell the the answer to that one day." replied Ash, staring staring towards the sky.

Serena looked at Ash in bewilderment.

"What do you mean by that?" asked Serena as she tilted her head to the side while looking at Ash.

Ash looked at her than gave her a smile while chuckling.

"Nothing. Come on, lets do some star gazing." said Ash as he stood up and pulled Serena up. 

The two then walked off of the walkway and started walking on the grass. As soon as they got to the middle of the field where no light could reach, Ash laid down on the grass while Pikachu hopped off of his shoulder. Serena soon followed suit. The two lay on the grass, next to each other, completely isolated from everybody else. They watched the stars twinkle in the night sky. The moon was at one corner of the sky leaving the stars and the dust clouds of the Milky Way to shine in all its glory. You could see Decidueye's Belt clearly in the north while the constellation of Tauros was visible in the east. The night was beautiful was the two budding lovers, yet unaware of the other's feelings towards them, watched the sky without a worry in the world.

Soon, however, Ash realised that it might be too late. Walking all the way from Conference Park to KIT can take over two hours.

"Serena?" Ask started.

"Hmm?" replied Serena, still basking in the beauty of the night sky.

"We should be heading back. It's 8:45 already and it will take at least 2 hours to get back to KIT." said Ash.

"Aww... I was enjoying this. But I guess you're right. We should be heading back now." replied Serena. Ash could tell that she was disappointed.

"Don't worry Serena. We can always do this again if you want to." said Ash.

"I would like that Ash." said Serena giving Ash a sweet smile.

Ash now knew that they didn't have the time, nor the energy to head back to KIT on foot. Thankfully, he bought some very useful Pokemon with him today. However, he decided to ask Serena if she wanted to walk first.

"Serena, how do you want to get back to the droms?" asked Ash.

"Well, we can only walk right? Than I guess that't what we'll have to do." replied Serena. She was clearly exhausted.

"Well, I have an idea. I want you to meet a very good friend of mine." said Ash as he tossed a Pokeball in the air.

"PIDGEOOOOOOT" roared the multicoloured flying type.

"Hey there buddy." said Ash as he gently stroked the side of Pidgeot's neck.

"ASH!? You have a Pidgeot?" asked Serena.

"Of course I do. He is standing right in front of you." replied Ash grinning at Serena.

"Wait... are you saying we're going to fly back to our dorms?" asked Serena with excitement clearly evident in her voice.

"Yes, of course. If you're OK with it, that is." replied Ash.

"I think I'll be fine, Ash." replied Serena while smiling back at him.

Ash got on Pidgeot first and then pull on top of Pidgeot. Pikachu jumped on top of Ash's head.

"Hang on tight!" Ash said to Serena as he held Serena's hands and pulled them around his waist. Ash and Serena both blushed as Ash did this, however, Ash knew it had to be done for Serena's safety.

"Ready?" asked Ash.

"Ready!" replied Serena.

"Pidgeot, lets go!" said Ash to his loyal friend while holding onto his mane.

"PIDGEOOO" with a mighty roar, Pidgeot took at at incredible speed. This caused Serena to yelp in surprise, close her eyes tightly and tighten her grip around Ash's waist.

After a while, Pidgeot slowed down to cruising speed. Serena was still holding on very tight. Ash knew that Serena was probably very scared right now, so he decided to comfort her.

"Serena?" he asked.

"Yes?" Serena replied.

"Don't worry, I'm here and Pidgeot is here. Nothing bad is going to happen." said Ash, trying to reassure to her that she wouldn't fall.

Ash then released one of his hands from the mane and held one of Serena's hands that was around his waist. This caused Serena to flinch a little but she soon relaxed. Ash's grip was firm, but it was comforting to her. It only made her feel safe. Serena soon loosened her arms.

"Serena, look down." said Ash.

Serena was a bit reluctant at first but decided to obey Ash. She opened her eyes and looked down. She gasped at the sight. They were flying right over Lumiose City. Just moments ago, they were admiring Nature's beauty, now, Serena couldn't help but marvel at the artificial masterpiece below her.

The historic streets were all lit up by yellow street lamps. The bustling, vibrant city was full of life and colour. Prism tower could be seen in the distance. The long rows of cars on the streets made the whole city look like a living organism. It was marvelous to say the least. Serena was completely speechless. She looked at everything below her. Her fear had vanished completely.

Soon, however, they finished flying over Lumiose City and eventually arrived at their dorms. It was 9PM by the time they landed in front of their dorms.

"Thank you, Pidgeot." said Serena as she ruffled the feathers on its neck.

"Prrrrrr" cooed Pidgeot, obviously enjoying Serena's actions.

"Yeah, thanks Pidgeot. You've been a great help." said Ash while smiling at Pidgeot.

Pidgeot looked back at his trainer and smiled.

Ash returned Pidgeot and walked into the dorms. He followed Serena with her bags into her room.

"Where should I put these?" asked Ash.

"Just put the on the bed." said Serena while pointing towards her bad.

Ash followed what she asked and turned around to leave.

"Well, I'm tired now Serena. I'm going upstairs to meet the boys." said Ash as he started to turn around, however, he felt a hand hold his wrist.

He turned around to see Serena blushing madly. She then stood on her tippy-toes and pecked Ash on his cheek.

"Pi?" asked Pikachu. He was sort of getting used to it now.

Ash became flustered and started blushing too.

"Wh-What wa-as that for?" asked Ash.

Serena enjoyed seeing Ash flustered.

"That was a thank you for today." she said smiling at him with blush still visible on her face.

She then decided to tease him a little.

"Why? Didn't you like it?" asked Serena, pouting playfully.

Ash was completely taken aback by Serena's actions.

"I-I-I did..." replied Ash. His mind was all jumbled up now.

"In that case, how about I take it a little further?" asked Serena while placing her hand on his chest and edging her face closer to his.

Ash didn't know what to do anymore. This was the most flustered he has been been. 'Where the hell is she getting all this confidence from?' he thought to himself.

Ash wanted to lean in but Serena's hand was pushing him away.

Serena started leaning in a little more, their noses were almost touching while applying more force with her hand on his chest.

All Ash could do now was walk backwards as Serena was pushing him. Their noses were millimeters apart. Ash was hypnotised by Serena's eyes. They were staring into his own.

Ash kept walking backwards as Serena kept edging closer. Ash didn't know what was happening around him. All he could do was look at Serena. Ash was too flustered to do anything now. He was now Serena's puppet.

With one final push, Serena brushed to the side and lunged her face forward only meeting his ear.

"Ash, I... I..." she started whispering seductively.

Poor Ash, everything for him was now jumbled up.

She then pushed him one final time, now, the gap between them about half a meter. She then giggled and returned her voice to normal.

"I'll see you tomorrow, Good night." she said and smiled at him while closing the door.

Serena then blushed immensely while thinking 'What the hell did I just do?'. She the remembered Ash's facial expression just before she closed the door and started giggling to herself uncontrollably.

Ash, on the other hand, looked like Pikachu had squirted ketchup all over his face. It was beet red. His eyes were wide open and his mouth was slightly agape. He was just standing in front of Serena's door, completely dumbfounded.

He then turned towards the stairs and started walking. He was taring straight ahead, looking almost as if he was lost in thought. His mind, however, felt completely blank and anyone who saw him would have thought he was a zombie judging by the way he was walking. Pikachu just sniggered at his trainer's situation.

As Ash tarted walking up the stairs, but he did so while tripping and stumbling on a couple of steps. Serena had completely blown his mind that day. He walked into his room and threw himself on his bed... still trying to comprehend what just happened.

I hope you guys enjoyed this chapter. It is a lot longer than all my other chapters. I just started writing and couldn't stop.

Anyway, I hope the little amour moments were good. I really enjoyed writing this chapter. If there are any mistakes, please do let me know.

The next chapter should be up on Wednesday, but, I can't say for sure. This week I have a lot of work. I can't guarantee updates on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday.

Christmas break does start next wee (for me)... so updates will become more frequent. But I will have a lab report to write over the break, so, I might not be able to write everyday.
