The Hurt

   Sometimes you hurt. Bad.

Everything seems so wrong. Angry. Upset. Hurt.

You know what- your situation sucks.

And it's okay to admit that.

Say it out loud, "This really sucks."

Sometimes, we bottle up all our feelings and plaster on a smile. Sometimes, it doesn't work. Sometimes, it's okay to cry. Sometimes, you just need to let it out.

I'm not saying we should dwell on our problems, having a pity party. But I am saying that it's okay to be upset. It's okay to hurt.

Don't bottle up your feelings, or, one day, the they're be so much pressure the corks will pop off and you'll be a mess.

 Talk to someone.

Sometimes we internalize all our feelings sooo much that we think something is bigger than it is. Even big stuff seems worse when we bottle it up.

 Find someone you can trust.

 A parent.

 A teacher.

 A pastor.

 A friend's mom.

Someone you who is kind and responsible.

 And let it out.

Talk about how you feel, even if it's only with God. Start a journal of writing your problems to Him. Don't mope about, feeling sorry for yourself, but do take time to talk about how you feel- and why you feel that way.

You may have a perfectly good reason to be upset. But it's not a good reason to try and fix everything yourself.

You may be scared to share what's troubling you. What if they think you're crazy? What if they judge you? What if the hurt and memories are too much to bring up?

  God is with you.

He's gonna help you through everything. Not just the "big" stuff, but everything.

 So, calm down, sister.

The Lord loves you. He cares for you. And the hurt you are feeling now is going to blossom into blessing beyond belief. You just wait, sister.

 A week from now.

 A month from now.

 A year from now.

 A decade from now.

You'll see.

Everything is as it was meant to be.

It may not be perfect. You're still going to struggle. But you'll have more clarity on why God did what He did... and you'll get to see how He used it for good.

So "keep fighting the good fight" and "letting your light shine" as the song "Good Fight" says.

Please watch the video above and let God speak to you with the encouraging words of "Good Fight".

Hang in there.

And feel free to talk to me if you need someone to listen.
