It's a sunny evening , he just  driving back from his friend's place.

Keen on the road, attentive to right, as he needs to adhere so. He accelerated to move forward and instantly hit the brakes when he heard her.

“hey..you”, that’s what he heard and realized immediately that he didn’t expect someone from his left can also get hurt when he moves straight.

He can see her ‘ok’ still with a little worry on face; he opened left window to check her.

Right hand on steering, left hand on air gesturing is she is fine?. He looked at her with the same question but got froze there.

He was about to say sorry. Did he say that? Did she hear it? He couldn’t confirm as he completely wondering on what those eyes telling to him.

Yes the moment he noticed her, she was giving a stern look as if  ‘stupid, don’t you see me coming?’ walking from his left to right.

then, it was like ‘hey wait. Did I knew you?’ and it changed to ‘gosh. Its you.’ it was so quick just like her move.

he wanted to start again but not sure why he didn’t move, stopped there watching her walking away from there.

Do they said ‘Its ok’ when she took away her eyes from him.

Even he sensed she smiled at him. But where were those smiles? Was it in her lips? Nope was it in her eyes?  He felt her smiling face from those hairs waving back at her when she crossed him.

Got back to senses when he heard a siren. He had to move, in the next two minutes he got drown into the whole city traffic. He checked time, it was still 4.04 pm.  He remember he exactly board in by 4.00pm as his next appointment in an hour. 

So it’s all happened in just last four minutes, nope not even that, it was still lesser than he thinks. But how it was so much in this short time.

He started recollecting what happened just a while back, he expected her to shout at him, At least ignore him and walk on.

But he couldn’t understand what she exactly did. Is she admired him for not hitting her by car? No, it cannot be like that, how someone will do so? He tried to recall what she said by that look. Does it mean she knows him?

Yes! People knew him little but this much is not possible to expect. He had to stop again for a signal, he noticed to counter, he have enough time to check his calendar, he took his phone and seen them.

He had a lot notification, really a lot. He can only smile back on seeing them. He can’t respond everything still he does as much as he can.

He opened that last DM; it was poster stating blind spots for a car. His smile got wider, cant resist himself from liking it, thus acknowledged by a quick response saying “the road ahead may be long and winding but you’ll make it there safe and sound”

So he was correct. She knows him; he had lot of story response earlier from her which he never seen before. This time he was unsure how to respond, he locked his phone and kept aside.

When the next wind creased his hair, he again got that smile. He really wanted to thank her for the wish. He took the phone and texted her ‘Thank you!’

He was clueless, why he is expecting her reply. Moments went by but no response, he started checking for that every now and then. Few more minutes passed, he heard that; it read “Texting while driving is illegal”

By any chance is she watching him, he turned out a while to search for her. It sounded so crazy to him. It must be a wild guess or just a common sense. He decides to concentrate on road again.

Another one from her, “Don’t check for me, am not behind you”

He started laughing, but replied. ‘Oh! Really’

He got busy on routine; he didn’t have his phone to check her response.

Finally his day was done, it was just same day but her.  He checks again but no luck, he badly wants to hear back from her it was blank for long.

He tried to fall asleep, pushing all those thoughts.

He heard her again “Yes, I stopped that long back. I knew I couldn’t come along”

He doesn’t know what to reply; he could understand what she meant. 

But he is bothered by that tone, he heard.

Wait! How could he hear her voice over text, which he never heard, did he?

Oh yes! He heard that “hey..you”

Is that only she said, he nods his head agreeing.  She told more than what he read or heard; this drives him crazy, he knew he shouldn’t think much about it.

He shakes his head as if he wanted throw off everything he knew for now, no luck.

He tried hard, again much harder then earlier.

His eyes snap open; he gets up cautiously, shivering, rubs head and eyes and tries to fully awaken.
