Chapter #41

(A/N I have no idea why I like doing this POV so much, but here he is again)

(Ross's POV)

After drawing the weird squid costumes, Jason drew a map. He says that all of it is under the castle. Have I seen the castle before? I can't remember. All the other people want to argue a bit more. Jason watches them with me. I think my fish friend left a little while ago because he doesn't like yelling. His stutter is disappearing, though. I like the one person's mask. It's like a costume. Maybe I should learn all their names at some point. It's kinda confusing.

My attention is drawn away when the person in the checkered hoodie comes back. "Umm.... Ty? I think you'll want to see this. Bring everyone else, too", he says, obviously trying to hold in a laugh. "What is it now? Is their another assassin at our door step?", Ty groans. "Kinda? But it's better", Mitch giggles before disappearing back outside. I wordlessly go out the door, not bothering to wait for everyone else. I wonder what's going on? I forgot why I'm here in the first place, but now I'm worried about anyone being hurt. It's always felt weird to be by myself.

I follow Mitch over to the camp entrance and see the crowd gathered around. A sense of deja vu washes over me at the scene. I can't remember exactly, but I think this might be how I got here. Everyone is moving to make a clear path for Ty and the others, so I wait for a minute and trail behind them. I don't really like crowds. Everyone stops at the front of the crowd, and I almost laugh at the sight before me. Sub stands with a relaxed posture before the crowd, holding Sky by the ear. He squirms and wines at Sub, trying to get him to let go. Derp stands nearby holding the reins of two horses, wearing sunglasses for some reason. I can see Vikk, Dan, and Red awkwardly standing behind them. Another person stands beside them, but I don't pay attention as I shoot forwards.

I barrel into Sky and knock us both over onto the ground. "Sky! Don't you ever dare leave like that again!", I yell, lightly slapping him on the face. "R-Ross?", someone asks me. I look up to meet a pair of brown eyes. He stands at least ten inches taller then me and has orangish-reddish hair. I flinch back when I get an ear splitting headache. Sky must of moved at some point, because the man is now crouched down in front of me. "Ross, a-are you ok!?", he asks in a overly concerned voice. "Yeah, I'm ok. My head just hurts. Do I know you?", I ask, looking at his hand on my shoulder. He flinches back from me, standing up and stepping  back. The broken look on his face somehow makes me wanna cry. "I'm sorry", Dan mumbles, patting him on the back. I don't understand. Am I suppose to know him?

"Sub?", a muffed voice from beside me asks. I turn away from Dan and the stranger to see the person with the mask. He's walked away from everyone else and stands in front of Sub. "Have you really been here all this time!? Do you know how worried I was about you!?", He scolds Sub, actually pulling into a big hug. All of the assassins and I quickly tense up, remembering the last time someone touched Sub without his consent. It didn't end well. I think Ian actually has the scars. But to all of our amazement, Sub smiles and returns the hug. When he lets go, Sub starts quickly signing in a language I don't know. I remember regular sign language, but I don't know this one. They walk off as they both talk with their hands, completely dismissing everyone else.

"Are those all the reunions? I think you have some explaining to to with the captains, Sky", Mitch chuckles. "Just one more", Sky giggles, turning around. Vikk immediately tries to make a run for it, but is soon lifted up. He squirms in Sky's arms as he carries Vikk over to one of the captains. "I think this is yours", Sky says, dumping Vikk into the captains's arms. The blond haired man and Vikk both seem too dazed and conflicted to say anything. Sky shoves the pair to the side, making them 'go away and talk'.

"What's exactly going on here?", the girl captain asks in confusion. Sky turns to look at her, then glances at the rest of the people watching him. His face changes from the childish person I know as he adopts a cold and serious expression. "My name is Adam, but you might know be better as the 'dead' prince of the GoldenEye kingdom", Sky says, his voice lacking it's usual playfulness. How can Sky be a Prince? I trust him, but this is the first time I've ever seen him act this way. It's almost like he put on the mask of someone else. Were princes meant to act like this? But I do notice when Mitch shifts his stance right after Sky calls himself Adam. Ty seems clam, but the other three generals seem frozen in shock. Red, Dan, and Derp don't seem surprised. But the red-haired stranger looks like he's about to (I really want to say 'crap himself', but little Ross wouldn't think that) pass out. It makes me concerned, for some reason

"I think we need a little proof........", the captain with the black and red shirt says, Nick I think his name was. "I understand", Sky says, walking over to nick and Turing the back of his left shoulder for him to look at. "Is that enough proof? We don't have all day", Sky says in an inpatient voice. Why is he acting so strange? Nick toauches Sky's should and runs his thumb against it, trying to wipe something off. "Ok, you're good. Just wanted to make sure it was really you, General Adam", Nick smiles, slapping Sky on the back. His hand twitches slightly. I've seen Sky do that when he wants to hit somebody.

But he only smiles. "So, I bet we have some planning to do. Let's get it done while we still have daylight".
