Sting's POV

"Oi, Sting-kun!... Sorry I mean... Master! What are you doing?" Lector asked from below as I was writing on a piece of paper with a smug grin on my face.

"Forget calling me Master, Lector! Just Sting-kun is fine." I smiled at him then went back with an evil grin on my face.

"R-Right... So what are you exactly doing? Rogue-kun and Frosch were wondering if your up for a mission today." he sweat dropped.

"Maybe next time... I have a loadful of papers to sign and other stuff as a Master of Sabertooth.." I groaned while rubbing my forehead.

"If you say so... too bad Cynthia-chan isn't here. Maybe she can join in on our mission? I really miss her, even Rogue-kun and Frosch miss her too."

"I do too, but sometimes we can't always get what we want. Right?"

'As much as I wanted Cynthia to be here with us... with me, we couldn't have everything. That's just how life goes. Or maybe I can change that?', I thought.

"I guess..." he shrugged his shoulders and turned to walk out the office.

"I'll try to finish what I can and hopefully we can go out!"

"Okay Sting-kun! I'll let Rogue-kun and Frosch know." he smiled and proceeded to walk out the door.

I sighed in slight frustration as I set the paper down that I wrote on and swiveled my chair to face the huge pile of papers on top of my desk. After that whole accident at the inn,in Fiore and the Grand Magic Games, I became the Master of Sabertooth since I was known as a candidate as a Master by our lady... who seemed to have disappeared. We were all worried about her. Even if she was rude and had that attitude of just thinking about winning and being the strongest, we all still treat her as a comrade.

Ever since I became Master, I wanted to change the ways of Sabertooth, where we would all treasure and protect our comrades. Well learnt from Natsu-san and my dearest best friend Cynthia.

I've missed her so much. I wanted to hear her voice, her smile, that cute pink tinted cheeks of hers every time she blushes, her flowy sand brown silky hair lingering on my fingers. Her scent also drove me crazy. My dragon was calling for her but I had to keep it within me and forget this type of feeling. I groaned as I took the first paper out from the pile and signed it. This was very annoying and frustrating to do these paperwork. Why must a Master have to go through these things?!

Even so, its been a couple of weeks since I've last seen Cynthia and her guild. I really did miss her. My heart felt a pang and I felt empty, even though I'm with my other best friends with me. It just wasn't enough to satisfy me. I'm missing something... I'm missing her. I just knew it. I want her to be by my side just like when we were kids.

But just how can I return her memories of us together? It was my very first thing to do on my list, but ever since I became the Master it took a lot of my time... and it would be in my way. But no matter how long it takes I will find her memories and let her remember.

For her to remember our promises we made, our special times together and how we first met. I let out another huge sigh and slammed my head onto my desk, making the pile of paper to fall out of place and topple over onto the floor.

"Just great." I huffed in annoyance.

"Are you okay?" I heard a familiar voice called out and knew that it was my partner even without looking up from my desk.

"Just fine. Doing all of this paperwork and being the Master is so easy..." I said in a sarcastic tone.

"You're not going to get things done so fast like that Sting." he said nonchalantly making me to roll my eyes.

"Yeah I know... it's a pain in the ass to do this! I didn't know that being the Master is a tough job!"

"You should know that there are consequences to everything..." he said and I knew that he was smirking with that tone of his.

"What do you need?" I said in a frustrated way as I lifted up my head to face him, then placed a hand on my cheek and the other resting on the desk.

"We heard that you seemed too busy for going out on a mission from Lector." he said as he walked towards my desk, gracefully avoiding the messy papers on the floor.

"Yeah... I'm so busy and tired!"

"Tired of not signing anything and writing on a different piece of paper?" he cocked an eyebrow at me, making me to smirk at his comment.

"I guess you can say that."

"What are you even planning Sting?"

"Something. Don't worry it's a good idea!"

"Is it about the pool idea? You've already said it like how many times... What is it now? Are we going to have our own movie theater or something?" he groaned.

"No it's not... Although having a theater in the guild sounds impressive and exciting! Maybe I should add that as well! Thanks Rogue for the idea!" I grinned making him to shake his head in disapproval.

"What?" I asked.

"What are you really planning Sting? It better be something worthy of your time." he sighed as he crouched down to pick up the papers that were still scattered on the floor.

"Oh it is. You'll just have to wait and see." I smiled innocently at him which he sweat dropped in slight fear.

"I promise. It'll be good!"

"You better swear on your words."

"Hai Hai. Now don't you have a mission you need to get to?" I said, waving a hand at him as he got up and placed a few papers on my desk.

"Yeah. I'll be going with Yukino then."

"Hmmm... Yukino huh? Have fun." I smirked at the thought.

"We're just comrades you idiot! Don't you dare think of something like that!" he scowled at me as a pink tint appeared on his cheeks.

"Like what?" I said innocently, once again.

"S-Shutup! Are you a kid or something? And what about Cynthia-chan?! You like her don't you?" he smirked in defense and this time I was blushing.

"She's a dear friend of ours! I don't have feelings for her like that!..." I mumbled trying to hide my face away from him.

"You're lying. I can already tell that you do, and your inner dragon even says so." he pointed out.

"Whatever! Move your ass and get the job done..." I sighed and rubbed my temples.

"Then you need to get working on those papers... Master." this time he smirked at me and I twitched at the word that he emphasized.

"Hurry up and get going with that job! You don't want to keep the client and others waiting." I twitched an eye at him.

"Of course.... Master."

"Rogue! Shutup! And that's Sting to you!" I hissed in annoyance as he walked out of the office as a cocky grin appeared on his face.

Facepalming myself in annoyance at his words. I peeked through my fingers and noticed that the paper were all still scattered on the floor and my desk. This was so infuriating! I grabbed a handful of my spiky blond hair being frustrated, and pulled myself out from my chair and walked around the desk to gather up the rest of the paper that were waiting for me on the floor. Waiting so that they could get signed. Being the Master was fun, but honestly doing all of the paperwork for the Magic Council was a pain.

Finally grabbing a few sheets in my hand, I remembered about Cynthia. I longed for her and missed her so much that it hurts. I don't care if I keep on repeating myself. I just miss her so much. I want my best friend with me. But I know for sure that I can't force her into anything that she wouldn't like.

Memories were dancing in my mind.

The one about the banquet and the both of us dancing and out on the balcony. It felt so surreal. To have her in my arms, swaying around, talking and having a long conversation. She was truly something. She was absolutely breathtaking. Beyond beautiful and I couldn't keep my eyes off of her for a second.

The way on how her hair was curly and styled in a different way made her look really different. A good different. Not like I don't like the current appearance of her, I like everything of and about her. Her eyelashes were long and thick making her purple eyes to sparkle and pop out, her lips were puffy and looked kissable for me to make contact with mine. She was just too spectacular. I was glad that she wasn't wearing too much makeup. She didn't need to cake her face. The dress that hugged around her body so nicely and fit... I was paralyzed at the sight of her beauty.

But I was an idiot for asking her to drink with me at first! Just what was I thinking?! But I was glad that I finally got the guts to ask her for a chance to do a dance with her. That was honestly one of the toughest things that I have done, other than fighting than Natsu-san. I even noticed that my bite mark on her soft skin was covered by the collar on her neck.

Not bothering to ask her, I was hung up on her teaching me to dance which was partially embarrassing for me, but I'm glad I got to learn from her. I was slightly disturbed at her hiding it but I felt like to would to already disappear.

'Maybe I can do it again sometime for fun?' I smirked at the thought. She was cute by moaning out my name and looking fragile and whimpering at the same time in my arms. Even at the time outside of the balcony, away from the ballroom. It was peaceful and she looked even more stunning under the moonlight. I was about to make our lips contact to each other but I was very displeased and annoyed at rogue barging in and ruining the moment.

Sighing as I placed down the handful of papers onto the desk, my mind jogged through that tragic and most devastating vision of Cynthia dying in my arms during the battles of the Dragons. The way how she died and it felt so real. It scared me... terrified me.

I was going to lose my best friend at that time but thankfully it didn't happen. I wonder who would how that vision to me... but it seemed like it happened to everyone. Rogue got it, I wasn't sure about Lector and Frosch... probably they did and for Cynthia ...I remembered at her shocked look on her face about the vision of her creepy and gory death.

I lowered my gaze with a dark look on my face just thinking about it. To whoever it was... I thank them so much. Without that future clip, Cynthia would be dead by now. I wouldn't forgive myself for letting her disappear from me again. I won't let that happen.

I furrowed my eyebrows together and remembered further of that vision... of me kissing her pale cold lips. Her eyes were shut, her breathing stopped. The contact feeling on her skin was ice cold and she turned pale in my arms. It gave me the shivers of just remembering it. I didn't like it one bit but I blushed at the thought of what I just did to her right after she died.

I kissed her.... My best friend. I instantly turned bright red feeling my face to grow hotter than my usual body temperature, it felt so real and I don't even know. It was just too much to process.

I noticed how Cynthia looked at me with concern while I was blushing at the vision, but it seems that she was confused. Did she not see it? The part where I kissed her? Part of that made me relieved but at the same time... pained. Like I wanted her to know but I kept silent not wanting to freak her out. Probably she didn't see it because she was.... dead at the time? Most likely. I shook my head and slapped both of my cheeks, trying to rid of the images and thoughts of her supposedly death.

Either way. I was going to protect her more than ever. I will find her memories if it's the last thing I do. I promised and vowed to her. I won't ever break that. My best friend... I need her. I will protect with all of my life. Making sure that she's fine and safe. Not wanting to lose her like she lost her memories. It would pain me and would just get worse if something else bad happens to her.

That's why, ever since I was still a kid and when she first step beside me on my bed because she was afraid of thunderstorms.. which I wonder if she has gotten over it or is still afraid. I would protect her, keep all harms and darkness away. Anything that scares her or if she needed a shoulder to cry on for comfort. I would be there for her.

I would do anything for her. And I have finally noticed something that was kept inside of me all along ever since we were young... ever since the Grand Magic Games... searching for her... my inner dragon calling out. It all made sense.

'I, Sting Eucliffe of Sabertooth. Has fallen for Cynthia Adara. My bestfriend, my treasure, my everything. My Cee-chan.' I smiled in my thoughts.

Cynthia's POV

"Try this one! It's my favorite!" a cheerful Erza beamed while passing me a plate of one of her cake delicacies on the table.

"This looks so yummy!" I drooled and made my purple eyes to sparkle in delight.

"It's much better and delicious if you eat it!" she winked and digged in onto her own plate.

"Itadakimasu!" I thanked for the dessert before taking a spoonful of cake in my mouth.

"How is it...!?" Erza confidently smirked while placing a hand under her chin and nodded, waiting for my approval.

"It's..."

"It's...?"

"Absolutely delicious! The texture is moist and creamy, the flavors are combined nicely and perfectly! Even the aroma is sooo good. This is spectacular!" I said, taking another bite and noticed Erza to smile childishly.

"Don't you think?! It's one of my favorites! I'm so glad you approve with me Cynthia!" she beamed and just before she could take a bite of her cake... it was flown into the air and crashed onto the wall leaving a mess of cake chunks and frosting as the plate shattered on the ground.

Wondered who did that? Guess who... it was two mages, one fire and one ice, always bickering at one another everyday at the guild. Somehow their magic aimed towards Erza's cake without me and her even knowing. Those idiots.

"M-My... cake..." she trembled in shock, her eyes getting glassy.

"A-Ano... Erza-san...?" she turned to face me with tears slowly falling onto her cheeks.

"You can have my cake if you want?" I offered while placing a hand on her shoulder, before she could even reply we were interrupted by two voices yelling at one another across the guild.

"Bring it on dumbass!" a hotheaded Ice Mage yelled from the other side of the guild.

"What did you call me, you Ice Princess?!" the pink haired hollard back.

"I said I called you dumbass! Get your head together, Flame Brain!"

"Oh that's it! Come and face me! Popsicle breath!"

"E-Excuse me for a minute, Cynthia..." her voice darkened and her bangs shadowing over her eyes. I smiled awkwardly but nodded, not wanting to stop her from anything else. 'This is gonna be a ruckus in a few seconds.' I thought.

"No problem. Take all the time that you need!", removing my hand off her shoulder, I noticed that she cracked her knuckles while walking over towards the two brawling mages.

"This will be interesting." I mumbled before taking another bite.

"What would be interesting?"

I felt a presence sitting beside me and gazed at them before putting another forkful of cake to eat. "Oh! Hey Lucy-chan! What would be interesting... is the usual. Natsu and Gray-san fighting each other off, Gajeel would be joining in right about..." I paused turning back to see when the Iron Dragon Slayer brawled in a few seconds and turned back to face Lucy.

"Now. And then Erza-san comes in to stop the three and the others would be agitated and pissed... meaning that everyone would be in fights and challenging one another. The whole place would be wrecked in a few minutes, Master would be crying, and you know the rest... is history." I waved my fork nonchalantly in front of her and saw her to sweat drop.

"You know how it goes... None stop." she chuckled awkwardly, while gazing at the scene behind us.

"Yeah, you got that right. But I love it when this happens! It's our family and guild." I giggled.

"Of course... but sometimes they can be quite a handful..."

"True."

"Ne, Cynthia-chan. Are you alright from a few days ago? You seemed off..."

"I'm fine... don't worry about me. It was nothing! I'm good as new right!?" I faked smiled trying to convince her which it seemed to work.

That's right... I blacked out before I knew it. It was Zeref, I met him a few days ago and I still couldn't forget about that kiss. A shiver ran down my spine, and I couldn't forget the feeling of his lips over mine. It was all of a sudden and I was really upset and pissed that I didn't see him when I woke up. I mean, who would just leave a girl there after kissing her for no reason?! Well Zeref would. I'll give him a piece of my mind once I see him again! But somehow I pity for him...

"Alright. You do seem fine! Just take it easy alright?" she said, breaking my thoughts.

"Hai Hai.. Don't worry I can ma-" I was cut off by a table hitting me on my back.

"ITAI!" I yelled.

"Are you okay?!" Lucy looked at me worriedly.

"Yes and No."

"Cynthia-chan..."

"Please excuse me for just a minute Lucy-chan!" I sweat dropped while rubbing my back as I walked towards the group of idiots.

"She is not okay..." I heard Lucy to mutter under her breath. Before I could even turn to face and reply back to her, I was punched on my side and fell onto something soft and warm. Scared to see what it is, I looked up and noticed a pair of warm hazel eyes.

"Yo Cynthia! It's been awhile!"

"L-Lo-Loke?!" I stared at him in bewilderment as he grinned.

"Loke?" Lucy flabbergasted in confusion.

"Hey Lucy, just thought I'd drop by to say my hellos to everyone but it appears, that it's quite a commotion here..." he chuckled and held me closer.

"L-Loke! What are you doing?" I blushed at his sudden move.

"Just protecting my dear friend." he gave a toothy grin.

"Oh... well you can let go of me now..."

"Why? Are you shy of our body heat together?"

"I'm not... just uh... you know..."

"I know...?"

"In the middle of something."

"Middle of some- ahhh!" He was cut off due to a kick by an angry Titania and crashed onto a table, unconscious.

"There we go..." I sweat dropped and looked back to see that everyone was now brawling against each other. I sighed and cracked my knuckles, getting ready to throw a blow to everyone.

"Oi! Minna-san..." I shouted.

But to my avail, no one seemed to have heard me which I got pretty ticked off. This was going to be troublesome any minute now. Rubbing my temples, I had to force my voice out even louder, but still... it didn't work at all, but felt that someone bumped into me.

"Watch where you're going stupid!" an Ice Mage hollard at me and an irk mark appeared on my forehead.

"You're the stupid ones here!"

"Oh yeah you midget?! Let's see who will win this fight!"

"Who are you calling a midget you coldfart?!" I kicked him where the sun doesn't shine.

"G-Gomen... Cy-Cynthia..." he gasped, breathing for air as he clutched his precious jewel and winced at the pain.

"Gray-sama!" Juvia cried trying to run after him but got hit by a metal arm of Gajeel.

"Cynthia! You wanna fight against me now?" I heard Natsu to roar and came at me with one of his punches but I dodged it swiftly and grabbed the back of his scarf to throw him across the guild.

"Cy-Cynthia.... I'll get you for that!" he roared as he tried to get up.

"S-Scary~" I heard Happy to whimper.

"Bring it on Fire Boy!" I shouted.

"Here I come!" he came running at me but I punched his gut making him to fall onto the ground with a sick look on his face.

"P-Punch is too st-strong.." Natsu gushed and clutched his stomach in pain.

"Sorry...Didn't know my strength too well." I smirked.

"Hey shorty!"

"Who's calling me a shorty?!" I crossed my arms with an irk mark appearing on my head and turned to see that it was the Iron Dragon Slayer himself.

"Gajeel! Don't temper her or else it'll happen to you like Natsu and Gray!" I heard Levy to whine.

"Don't worry about me shrimp! She can't be that to-" I cut him off by kicking him on the side and he crashed on top of Natsu and Gray who were trying to bring themselves up from the floor but failed.

"Gajeel..." Levy sighed in annoyance.

"Now what were you saying that I wasn't tough?" I smirked proudly to see the three guys I've took a hit on, to tremble in fear and backed away from me.

"G-G-Gomen...." the three said in unison while trembling.

"That's more like it Cynthia!" Erza commented before crashing Jet and Droy head together.

"Thanks... You too." I beamed, trying to find others to stop from fighting, I felt a tug on my shirt and saw that it was Wendy who had a nervous smile on her face.

"Wendy-chan! Is there something wrong?"

"Ah no. Master told me that he wanted to see you!" she pointed towards the old man who was sitting on the counter top with Mira behind him, wiping a glass cup.

"Oh thanks! I'll go to him right now. I wonder why he needs to talk to me?"

"It's no problem and I have no idea." she smiled.

"Guess I have to figure out by going to him right now." I smiled and walked out of the scene behind me with everyone who were still fighting.

"Hey Mira-san! and Gramps, you wanted to talk to me about something?" I asked while taking a seat on one of the stools beside him on the counter.

"Hey Cynthia! The usual for you?" Mira chirped.

"Yes please, if you don't mind! Thank you Mira-san!" I smiled and lifted a hand against my cheek to rest on. Then I faced Master who was cross-legged and rubbed his temples at the scene being unfolded behind me.

"I wanted to talk to you about this job that Mira and I have discussed about. Since you are considered as one of the top mages here in Magnolia and you are known for your talents my dear." he mentioned.

"Job? What kind of job would this be?"

"Some person posted a job asking for chefs to cook for a feast to cook for a grand occasion. I'm not too sure about it much, but they would reward you with ahem... 500,000 jewel. They need someone to be the master of the cooking who is fast, precise and has quite a lot of experience. Mira and I were thinking about who would do it and it would perfectly suit you! You are one of the best chefs here, I must say." He beckoned and noticed Mira who was making my milkshake to nod in agreement.

"You want me to go on this job and cook for this person and receive 500,000 jewel?" I gawked.

"Unless you don't want to take it up..." he turned away with a sweat bead on his head.

"I'll take it! When do I start?!"

"Later today!"

"Today?!"

"Yes, today. You have a problem or plans?"

"N-No, I don't have any problems or plans. I mean it's just all too sudden! But I don't mind at all. I can start." I beamed and noticed Mira who was handing me my vanilla milkshake.

"Thanks Mira-san!" I beamed before taking a sip on my beverage.

"Great! Mira already signed you up anyways, even if you didn't agree." he grinned.

"G-Gramps..." I sweatdropped and earned a laughter from him.

"You'll do great Cynthia!" Mira said.

"Thanks... do you know where I will meet them up?"

"Yes! Here, I'll give you the map and address towards the location so it can be easier for you." she smiled while walking around the counter to place a piece of paper in my hand.

"What time should I meet my client?" I asked while unfolding the piece of paper and read the directions.

"Within... 3 hours."

"3 hours?! I gotta run and catch the train! See you guys later!" I rushed out of the guild and noticed everyone who turned to look at me. I heard a few of them asking me and shouting questions, why I was in a rush but I didn't had enough time to explain. "Sorry guys, ask Gramps and Mira-san about it! They'll explain it to you! See ya!"

"Oi! Cynthia, I'm coming with you!" I heard Natsu to barged which made me to stop in my tracks but he was interrupted by Master.

"Natsu! You are to stay here and not go with her. This job is only for her and you'll just mess up things..." he shivered at the thought which made me to laugh.

"You heard Master, Natsu, you have to let her go alone. You'll be a pain in the ass for her." Gray chimed in.

"What was that Ice Pervert?!"

"I said... you'll be a pain in the ass for her Squinty eyes!"

"Droopy Eyes!"

"You two... stop bickering for once, would you?" I heard Lucy to whine.

"No way! Not until I beat his ass!"

"Me neither! I'm not going down on a fight!"

"Oi you two. Shut up... Or I'll make you." I felt an evil vibration coming from the scarlet haired Erza.

"H-Hai! We're sorry!" they quivered.

"Sorry Natsu, you have to listen to them... I'll be fine! Don't worry about me." I winked and in exchange he gave a grin.

"You better!"

"I will and Gray-san... You're clothes are missing!" I blushed at the sight of him, only in his boxers.

"Shimataaa!~ Not again! Thanks Cynthia!" he ran inside trying to find his missing clothes.

"Cynthia, you should go now! The train might be coming any minute now and you wouldn't want to catch it late." Erza commented.

"Shoot! Thanks Erza-san! I'll be going now!"

"You got any jewel on you?!" Lucy shouted as I was running down the lane of the city towards the train station.

"I got everything covered! Don't worry about it!" I waved a hand and continued on my destination.

I wonder who this client is, who would need a chef for cooking a huge feast? Couldn't they have just... I don't know, why didn't they hire someone from like the royal palace, instead of asking guilds? Or were they just needing a helping hand? Don't know. But I'll see when I get there in a few hours from now. This can even get my mind off things about Zeref and that kiss... Let's just hope I made it there in time and forget my moment with darkness.
