Sting's POV

Fighting these dragons were a pain in the ass. But since I am a dragon slayer, I had the courage by Natsu-san's words. I felt encouraged to protect my comrades. To protect Cynthia, which she finally realized to see me... as a friend though. Not yet a best friend. But I hope she does consider it and she even forgave for my past actions.

Thinking about her made me really happy and it motivated me even more to fight to the finish. I have to carefully and quickly bring down these dragons and save my comrades, to save Cynthia. So we can make more memories together and fulfill our promise.

I'm still in utter shock from moments ago that Cynthia had made a promise to me about finding Lector which I did not seem to know about. She was a wonder to me. No matter what happens, she always seems to fascinate me in every way. But even so, I am still grateful and so glad that I could see Lector again. Just thinking about him dying in front of me at that moment by Master and at last minute to be saved by Minerva.

Was devastating.

Then Cynthia came along with Lector in her arms, which I've never thought of what she would actually do for me. She was truly an amazing person and that's what I like that about her. I even let her to call me by her nickname she gave when we were young. Hearing my nickname from her lips were soothing. I'd never thought I'd get to hear that nickname again.

Remembering our embrace was warm, gentle and comfortable. I wanted to keep her tight my arms again. Feeling her soft light brown locks running through my fingers delicately and falling it gently onto her back. It felt nice. Especially when she asked me to make a promise for her. To find her memories about our times together. I will fulfill that promise for Cynthia. But my whole world shattered right here and then.

As I placed a hand out for her to reach, it never did.

Opening my eyes to see what happened. I froze in sight of her. My body trembled in fear, shock, pain, anger many mixed emotions were slowly rising in me.

I was horrified.

What made it even worse was seeing her to spit out red liquid form her mouth and onto the ground. The red blood dripping down on chin and slowly making its way to stain her clothes and skin. Her blood.

My eyes widened at the sight. I could already tell that Rogue, Lector and Frosch were as terrified as I was. My best friend got pierced by a dragon behind her. Its claw-like finger deepening its stretch in her, making sickening sounds. I couldn't do anything except to gasp in surprise and shock. Paralyzed in spot. I felt like as if someone pulled my heart out from me. Until I heard a few words escaping out from her lips.

"Wha...What.....?" she softly said.

In return, I felt tears running down from my face. Her mouth gaped open again hoping that she would speak but instead she threw up more of her red blood.

"S-Sting.... k-kun..." she croaked with his voice being scratchy and dry.

I saw that she was trying to reach out to me and I snapped out of my trance and ran after her. Reaching my hand trying to interlock with hers. Her face was filled with shock and pain.

She was scared.

Seconds later before I could even grab her hand in just a few more inches, but I froze.

I was scarred at the sight.

Petrified at her body being thrown up into the air. I gave out a blood curling scream calling for her, but she didn't say anything back. Instead, she turned to look at me one last time before closing her eyes as she was thrown up in the air. Tears were still staining my cheeks even more.

Not again. I just lost her for the second time... more like the third time! It felt like at the time when I lost Lector. I got her back but she's being thrown away from me like a piece of garbage. She is not garbage.

I felt like my whole world was being thrown upside down. Crashing into a million of shards. Everyone was being taken away from me. Cynthia was being taken away from me, and I wasn't going to let that happen. Clenching my jaw in anger, I ran to catch her in time before she could hit the ground, before her body could get any more broken in shambles.

"Cynthia-chan!", "Cynthia!", I heard Rogue, Lector and Frosch calling out for her name as they came running towards me with Cynthia in my arms.

As soon as they got close to me, I ignored all of them. All I could think about was Cynthia who looked so fragile. Peering down at her face in my arms, I cradled her close to my chest, hugging her tightly but not too tight... just enough for her to breath... I brought my head down on her open wounded chest to feel or hear her heartbeat, hoping that there was a thump.

But there was none. She was dead.

Her life was taken away from my very eyes. My best friend was gone. She wasn't here anymore. She wanted to make more memories, I wanted to see her smile again for me. Making new adventures and getting her missing memories about me. About Rogue, Lector and Frosch.

I felt a hand patting my back and saw through my glassy vision, were paws that were touching Cynthia's hands but I still ignored them all. My chest tightened and it felt hard to breath. I inhaled sharply, trying to ease the pain out, but it didn't work. My tears wouldn't stop flowing from my eyes which they were puffy already and I still clenched my jaw in discomfort.

She looked so pale, so weak... slowly turning into a corpse. I gently lifted a hand to her cheek and felt my contact with it, hoping for her warmth to still be lingering. But it turned out to be cold. Blood cold. Not the usual warmth and comfort. Bringing her lifeless body even more closer to me, I hugged her tight and placed my face in the crook of her neck with many tears falling.

"Why....?" I muffled a cry on her neck that was now cold. Her blood was staining my clothes but I didn't give a crap about it. She was gone! My best friend was killed in front of me! All I could think about was Cynthia, my mind was pictured of the now dead and lifeless Cynthia in my arms.

"Sting...." I heard Rogue with his tone to be sincere and scratchy.

"Cynthia-chan..." Lector balled.

"Cy-cynthia..." I heard Frosch crying.

"Damn it all! Damn it ALL !" I yelled in agony and in pain as I clutched onto her tighter.

"It's not your fault." Rogue said as he placed a hand on my shoulder.

"It is my fault! I... I couldn't protect her!" I screamed with more tears sliding down. I looked to see that Rogue gazed at me in sorrow and slight tears at the corner of his eyes. While Lector and Frosch were still crying at their favorite Cynthia. Gently pushing her off from my chest a little to see her angelic face... to see her soft features that were now stained with her blood with a mix of my tears. I stroked my hand on her cheek that was still planted and slowly brought my face closer to hers, closing the space between us.

I gently pressed my warm lips against her cold ones as my tears were dripping onto her cheeks. I pressed the kiss a little more hoping that she would respond, but deep down I knew that her life is gone.

Bringing myself up from her face to break our first kiss, I kissed her cheeks, her nose then to her closed eyelids with those long dark curled eyelashes of hers, onto her forehead and back to her lips for our second and last kiss. Looking down at her again, to trace her every feature while caressing her cheek. I slowly laid her down on the ground and got up from the ground as I clenched my hands into tight fists.

"Sting?" Rogue said as he looked over to me but I didn't dare to look at his or the other two. Tears were still coming out and I wasn't able to stop them. No one can take this pain, it hurts too much. I clenched my jaw tightly, seething the words from my mouth without looking back and replied to my partner which I faintly heard a gasp from his mouth.

"They will pay... I will kill them. I will kill whoever did this to Cynthia. No one will stop me, don't even try to stop me Rogue. Cynthia is our precious best friend... I couldn't protect her twice...she was taken away from me once more. From us. I won't let her death be in vain. They've taken her life... so now I am going to take theirs! I'll kill them. I will avenge Cynthia!" I roared as I activated my Dragon Force in a higher level than I could've mustered up from before...

The ground shook below me making a huge crater, as the rocks underneath me were now flying up in the air as my magic was overpowering in strength. I could faintly hear Lector and Frosch to gasp in surprise as I snarled my fangs at the Dragon who was watching us intently with a sneer grin plastered on his face.

"Sting!" Rogue yelled. but I ignored him and faced the dragon in most utter anger.

"Die...you bastard!" I screeched and were the last few words that escaped from my mouth before I ran full speed towards the Dragon to blast a powerful hit.

One Minute Rewind.

Cynthia's POV

"I'm just so glad you're okay... I don't want to lose my friend of whom I've lost my memories about. It would be too painful for me. Painful for you if you would lose your life and without me knowing that we were childhood friends. That's the worst!" I cried and felt another warm touch on my face. It was Sting who kissed my forehead for comfort. I was now hiccuping and closed my eyes, feeling his warmth and kindness. A few seconds later, I felt his warm lips lifted away from my forehead and his gaze was held onto my face.

"Arigato Cee-chan... I would be pained too and I wouldn't want you to be in pain either. That's why you save your tears until we win." He said as he hugged me closer to him and I laid my head on his shoulder.

"H-hey... aren't those words..." I softly said between my hiccups.

"Natsu-san's."

"You must really idol him a lot." I chuckled as I lifted my head to face Sting.

Staring up to him, we both froze in spot. A vision came into play my mind. Me reaching out my hand to Sting's but I was pierced by a claw and thrown up into the air. Sting calling for my name, tears streaming down his face in pain and agony. Rogue was in shock as well as Lector and Frosch in the vision. What... what this about?! I was going to die? I trebled in fear to what it seemingly looks like I was watching my death scene. Was I suppose to die?

Blinking my eyes rapidly, I stared into Sting eye's who had utter shock and noticed pink tint rising on his cheeks. Why did he had pink tint? All I saw was my death... I figured that he would see the same vision.

"Sting... that was..." I mumbled.

"A vision? Memory? This was no time to be thinking about why it showed, but get ready!" he said slightly blushing as we both got up from the ground together and jumped away from where we once were. Thankfully in a knick of time, I dodged the claw that was supposedly to pierce my insides. I huffed up my cheeks and stared over to Sting and Rogue who we getting ready in position to fight once more.

"Rogue!" Sting called over to his partner.

"Yeah. It was weird. It's like we saw a glimpse of the future." he beckoned.

"No time for chit chat guys! Save it for later!" I stated, as I slashed a few more of the smaller dragons running up to me.

"You heard the woman! Let's go!" Sting said as he shot out some of his White Dragon Slayer magic and Rogue with his Shadow magic.

"Lost Magic... Light of Divine!" I shouted as a huge gold ray beam was shot out from my magic circle and attacked on the dragons that came back over and over, but I finally managed to slay them all at once. Thankfully.

Averting my eyes to view Sting's and Rogue's fight, they were finally managing to beat the dragons. Before they could attack, I could sense that the dragons were up to something. Having no time to think, I quickly lifted my arm towards them and chanted a spell.

"Heavenly Light Barrier!"

My magic made it in time before the dragons could do the attack them directly but made a huge explosion. As the dust was being blown away from the wind, I saw that Sting and Rogue were still well and protected under my magic barrier. I sighed in relief knowing that their safe.

"Woah. Thanks Cee-chan!" Sting hollered over to me, glancing back for a few seconds and back to his opponent.

"We owe you one!" Rogue added as he jumped to the other side to meet off the blue dragon.

"No problem! Let's fight these dragons to the pulp and show them what strength we have! The strength to save our Comrades! and Sting-kun eat this!" I hollered and threw one of my light magics towards him, only to be devoured by the White Dragon Slayer himself. Once he was finished with eating my magic that I passed on to him, he wiped his mouth at the back of his hand and grinned at me.

"Thanks for the meal Cee-chan! I needed that!"

"No problem! And sorry Rogue-kun for not having having any shadow magic for you to eat as well!" I said in slight disappointment.

"It's fine! Even without having a meal, I can manage! My power is to protect my nakamas!" he smiled.

"Here I come!" Sting yelled as he jumped up high in the air and aimed a really powerful Holy Blast at the red dragon who seems to be taking the hit critically. Jumping after Sting, I was up in the air right above the Dragon's head ready to aim my blow.

"Let me help you out Sting-kun! Take this! .... Light of Golden Smash!" I yelled as I dropped full speed down with a golden light wrapping itself around my right arm like a rocket, crashing towards the red Dragon's head. As a result, the Dragon stumbled and crash on the ground making a huge hole on the ground below him.

"Way to go Cee-chan!" he cheered while wiping the corner of his mouth with the back of his hand.

"Hah, pretty amazing right?" I winked at him as I jumped to stand near him.

"Yeah sure...so cool, show-off~" he mimicked my words that I said to him moments ago.

"Oh ha ha. You're so funny."

"I know I am. Now watch me as I land another powerful attack!" he smirked as he ran towards the dragon that was getting back up to its feet. In the process I just stood there crossing my arms and arched an eyebrow watching him like his words were right. Rolling my eyes but with a playful smile planting on my face, I looked over to see Rogue who was doing just fine. He came out from the shadows and landed many shadow slashes at his blue Dragon opponent who actually got scratches by the blow.

We will win. We can win! These dragons will be defeated! There is nothing that we can lose about.... and that vision of my death... Just thinking about it gave the chills down my spine. It felt so real. But I was glad that it actually didn't happen. I wonder who did that... to let us see a time of flow. Whoever it was, I am truly grateful. I will not allow myself to die here and to lose this second chance! Not yet! I still many more adventures to make! With everyone! With Sting, Rogue, Lector and Frosch!

"Oi! Cee-chan! Don't stand there! Move your ass dummy! Or I'll move it for you!" Sting called over to me as he landed another blow, and looked over to me as he furrowed his eyebrows and gave another smirk of his.

"I'd would rather like to move my own ass, myself! Thank you very much ....You pervert!" I screeched at him with a slight blush rising on my cheeks, as I heard him gave out a low laugh.

Jumping from where I was currently standing, I helped Sting and Rogue at the same time, trying to land as many hits as I can. In a matter of minutes later, both of them dragons, were brought down on the ground, struggling to get up. But before they could even stand or for the three of us to take another strike, the dragons in front of us, had this yellow golden light surrounding them and soon vanished into thin air of those golden light dust.

I looked at Dragon's who were once in front of us, with slight shock on my face. Sweat beads were falling down on my face... hoping that we actually did it. Were they teleported back in their time period? Did we win?! Glancing towards Lector and Frosch who were trying their best to fight the smaller dragons, the offsprings looked like they've disappeared too.

I gave out a huff of a huge relief washing over me. I looked over to the Twin Dragon Slayers of Sabertooth to see that they were standing, back to back, slightly confused and hopeful that we won.

"Did we do it?" Sting asked as a sweat bead planted on his cheek.

"I really hope so...." I bit side the of my cheek softly.

"It looks like we won." Lector said as he still held his stick up in front of him.

"Fro thinks so, to!" Frosch added while putting her paws in front of her mouth. 'So cute!' I thought happily. I walked over to the two exceeds who smiled over to me. Crouching down, I patted their heads and brought them to my chest for a tight hug.

"I'm glad you two are fine!" I said as I planted kisses on their forehead.

"Thanks... I'm glad you are to!" Lector beamed with a blush appearing on his furry cheeks.

"Fro thinks so, to!" she happily said while hugging me closer.

I noticed Sting and Rogue slowly releasing their tension and went to sit on a pile of debris of rocks. Sting had his arms resting on his knees while cross legged and hung his head low. As for Rogue he was sitting laid back with his hands beside him, looking up at the sky. They seemed to be bummed out about something. I already knew what it was. In the end, they weren't able to bring down a dragon themselves... knowing that they were Dragon Slayers.

"Pathetic, huh? Makes me sick of hearing the term 'Dragon Slayer.' It just goes to show how strong dragons are. And Acnologia is probably stronger than them." I heard Sting say in disappointment.

Hearing him say this made me upset, but I wanted to cheer them up somehow. I gently placed down the two exceeds in my arms onto the ground and walked over silently behind Sting and Rogue. Standing behind with my hands behind my back. I was listening in on their conversation."Yeah, well, forget him for now." Rogue said.

"Agreed. It doesn't feel like we won, but for now, the battle is over."

"We won. We protected our comrades." Rogue looked over to his partner with a smile, making Sting to look back with a smug grin.

"You guys did great out there! Even if you weren't able to bring down a...dragon... I really think you guys are amazing and you did your best. We are all safe now! So that's what counts." I piped up, making the both of them to turn their turns and face me.

"Cee-chan..." he mumbled.

"Thanks Cynthia-chan." Rogue smiled at me.

"Honestly though, you guys were strong! The power to protect your comrades, made you two this strong. The battle is over for now, but I'm just really glad we are all alive and well!"

"Thank you Cee-chan." Sting smiled over to me.

"No problem... Just thought I'd be helpful in some ways...." I said as I walked over to him but accidentally tripped on the edge of the rock making me to fall forwards.

"Cee-chan!" he yelled in shock.

I closed my eyes waiting for the rough contact to scratch against my body, but I never felt it came. Instead I felt a pair of arms snaking around my waist, bringing the both of us to tumble backwards, rolling on the ground and soon came to a stop.

Slowly lifting my head up from the ground, I felt something against my chest... and also something warm and a tickly feeling against my ear. I glanced over to see Sting whose face was near my face, and knew that it was his soft blond spiky hair that was doing the tickling.

As he slowly got up from being near my face, he gazed over to me with shock and a blush creeping over his cheeks. Our eyes met in contact, interlocking it, staring into each other's eyes for a long time. I felt my face to rise up in heat and noticed that he was on top of me since I was on the bottom staring up at him. This position was getting awkward but our faces were so close. His lips were looking down on mine as I stared back at his.

That is until he broke the moment and looked down to see where his hands were. I noticed that his whole face went bright red, eyes were as wide as dinner plates, his nose started to bleed a little and steam was popped out of his ears. Slightly confused, I looked down to where his hands were and noticed that they were both directly on top of my.... huge chest. Groping them.

"Kyaaaaaah! S-Sting-kun!" I screamed in a high pitch voice, squirming to get out of his arms.

Not a good idea.

"Ah! Go-Gomen!" He stuttered and gave a small squeeze on my chest by accident because of my sudden scream. His light squeeze made me to gasp lightly and punched his face, making him to fly into the air and crash on the ground a few feet away from me. My face turned beet red as he was and I covered my chest with both of my arms, protecting myself and embarrassed to what happened seconds ago.

"Well that was interesting." Rogue looked over to us with amusement and soon a smirk.

"Not interesting! Do want want a taste of your own medicine too?!" I glared over to the Shadow Dragon Slayer who brought up his hands defensively while shaking his head no. I sighed and brought myself up from the ground and brush off the dirt on my shirt.

"Cynthia-chan can be scary..." Lector said with slight shock and shivered while keeping his gaze on me.

"Fro thinks Cynthia is a little scary, too!" she spoke.

"That's only if you get on my bad side." I smiled over to them.

"Then I shouldn't get on your bad side, and neither should Sting." Rogue said as he looked over to the red beet Sting whose eyes were in swirls.

"Looks like I overdid it... huh?" I sheepishly say as I scratched my cheek and saw Rogue to nod in agreement.

"He'll live." I added.

"Should I check if he's okay?"

"I think he'll be okay. He's just resting."

"You call that resting!" Rogue looked at me with a sweat drop, with slight shock.

"Fine fine. I'll wake him up." I said casually as I walked over to the blonde. I bent down and poked his cheek to see if he was okay. His face wasn't as red as before and opened an eye lid to stare at me. Soon, he shot out both of his eyes wide open and shook in fear with sweat beads forming on his face.

"Sorry! Sorry! I didn't mean to!" he cried.

"It's okay... it was an.... accident." I mumbled and averted my eyes from as my cheek blushed lightly.

"So it's... okay? Does that mean you don't mind, if I did it again on... accident?" he asked innocently giving me a toothy grin. An irk mark appeared on my forehead and I clenched my jaw and fists.

'Slap!'

His cheek was now throbbing with a bright scarlet red hand mark appearing on his face that started to swell. He brought his hand up to rub at his pained cheek from the slap I had just gave him and walked away.

"Sting-kun..." Lector twitched an eyebrow.

"That idiot..." Rogue said as he face palmed himself.

"Fro thinks so, to!" Frosch beamed happily with a little dance.

"I didn't mean to! I was just asking..." Sting muttered who was still holding onto his cheek.

"Wanna ask me again?" I asked him as I cracked my knuckles.

"N-No Cee-chan! I mean ma'am!" he shook in fear.

"Good. Now let's go and get ourselves healed up. I could've used my healing magic, but since I'm not too fond of it and I'm limited... we have to get medical treatment. So get your butts moving!"

"Hai...." Sting and Rogue said in unison with a flat tone, as Lector and Frosch came to walk beside me.
