Time Skip!~ 1 Hour Later, After Erza's and Minerva's Battle

I have finally kept my promise and found him.

I found Lector who was now sleeping in my arms. He was safe and sound. I made sure that he wasn't hurt in any way and he looked fine. 'Thank goodness'.

After I brought Kagura and Millianna to the infirmary, I just knew that I found something moving in Millianna's cape and it appeared to be the red exceed. Sting's partner. I smiled at the thought.

Seeing the two of them reunited would make me so happy... possibly in tears. After asking Millianna if I could take Lector with me... was a pain because she somewhat declined since she wanted to keep Lector to herself, but Kagura told her and she obeyed her. She just loves cats! I giggled at her silly act before. Here I was, walking in the town with Lector who was asleep in my arms still and I was still trying to search for Sting.

Team Fairy Tail had won... Well we were almost at victory of the games. I can't believe that we were going to get our title back! After all of those seven years, through the painful and cruel moments that we had to embraced. We were getting it all back and proving that we were still running and strong. A guild of feelings and the bond that binds us together as one! I felt slight tears forming at the corner of my eyes.

But the one problem was... Sting.

He was the last participant other than Team Fairy Tail. If he would to defeat everyone, he would gain 9 points and Sabertooth would be the winner. Everyone was injured except for him. Feeling slightly nervous, I froze in spot to see a flash of white light exploding in the sky and soon an insignia of Sabertooth was shown. This light... it was Sting's! I dashed my way towards the light still trying to remember where it was, but I stopped coming closer to see Sting who was standing in front of Team Fairy Tail who were standing align, side by side.

Not knowing what to do. I didn't want to interrupt them just yet since the battle was still going on, I stood behind a pillar and hid while eavesdropping their conversation. Just like with what I did with Erza's battle with Minerva. Man I'm such a scaredy cat and sweat dropped at the thought.

"What a spectacular sight. All of you are wizards I looked up to seven years ago." I heard Sting with a strong tone.

"Can the chatter. This is the final battle." I heard Gajeel to say.

"We'll beat you one on one. Who do you want?" Gray added in this time.

"All at once is fine. With your injuries, one on one would be boring." I heard Sting reply.

That idiot! Does he intend to really take them all at once?! Even if they were injured they had a strong will. The power of feelings of our guild. For Sting... I felt like he couldn't take them on properly as the way he is now. I could tell that he was emotionally wrecked on the inside. This wasn't the real Sting. It was Minerva's blackmail, who made him like this. He had to do this because he had no other choice and was forced because it was for Lector. I gave a slight frown hearing his words, because I knew deep down inside, he couldn't do this.

"You'd better not underestimate Fairy Tail." says Juvia.

"I wouldn't dream of it. I'm treating you guys with respect. That's why I'm gonna crush you all together! I've been waiting for this. I'm gonna show Lector how strong I am!" I heard him with determination.

I winced at the tone of his voice. 'Lector doesn't care how strong you are... You're fine the way you are Sting! It doesn't matter if you're strong or not. Doing your best to fight is good enough. There's no need for proof...even i know that Lector doesn't care anymore because he already noticed this.' I thought with a pang of sadness.

"I'm serious! I got stronger! Losing Lector has awakened new strength! For Lector's sake... For my best friend's sake... I'm gonna beat all of you!" I heard Sting arguing at Gray's and Laxus' comments. 'Liar. Not the way you are now... Just stop Sting... It's okay now.' I thought with slight tears forming on my eyes. Thinking about his words that rang through my head just made me slightly frustrated and upset.

"Fine. If you're that prepared...then we'll fight you, Sting!" Erza informed.

"That's what I want to hear." he said. I could feel that he was emitting out his power to form around him. "I'll show you my newly-awakened power!" he added followed by a low laugh.

But then I could feel that he drained his powers in an immediate rush. Why did he stop...? Was he hesitating? I gave an inaudible sigh making sure that they wouldn't hear me and wiped off my tears with the back of my wrist while Lector was still asleep in my other arm.

All of a sudden I heard a noise like someone had fallen? I slightly turned to peek where I was hiding behind the pillar and looked to see that it was Sting who fell on his knees with his head hung low while Erza and the rest were still standing. My eyes went wide, he was giving up...?

"I give up." I heard him say.

Just as I thought. He did give up.

He couldn't do it because wasn't himself. He was overwhelmed by the power of our guild who are facing him. I gave a small smile in victory that we, Fairy tail had won the games after those humiliating seven year gap! But on the other hand, I smiled because Sting finally noticed. Soon I had tears coming out from my eyes once more.

"That's it! The winner of the Grand Magic Games... is Fairy Tail!" Chapati announced, whose voice echoed through the whole town of Crocus.

"Sting, why didn't you come after us?" Erza asked.

"I had a feeling I couldn't meet him. Before I thought I'd be able to meet him if I won...but for some reason, I felt like I couldn't meet him. I don't understand it myself. You people are so radiant that I didn't think I could meet him the way I am now." he muttered in defeat and confusion.

"Sure you can." she answered.

I guess it's time for me to come out of my hiding spot. With Lector in my arms, I walked out from behind the pillar and went to stand near Team Fairy Tail but held a finger on my lips to make sure they don;t say a peep which they agreed on. And soon I stood beside Erza. She looked like she was about to say something but noticed that I still had a finger pressed it on my lips before she could talk and smiled in return.

"Just like what Erza-san said. You can meet him again... Sting." I said softly while looking down at him. He raised his head slightly to see me and suddenly his eyes widened in shock and tears were streaming out of his face.

Before I could even walk over and give his exceed, I felt Lector stirring up from his sleep and before I knew it, Sting ran towards me while Lector jumped out of my arms and ran to his best friend. In return, I smiled at Sting and Lector who were reuniting together, with happy tears on my face.

"Lector!" Sting yelled in immense tears, but tripped as he ran but got up quickly and went on his knees.

"Sting-kun! Sting-kun!" Lector cried running to him.

"Lector!" Sting cried with a faint blush appearing on his cheeks while his tears streamed down his cheeks in happiness as he stretched his arms open for Lector and soon they embraced into a tight hug. After they're heartfelt reunion, Sting placed Lector on the ground beside him and stared at me with his tears still streaming down his face.

"Cee-chan... H-how did y-you find him?!" he choked.

"It was a promise that I made to you when you were asleep last night. I just had to find Lector for you, because I didn't want to see you upset. To see you vulnerable and heart broken. So I figured... I should do it, because I didn't know that we made a promise which I don't remember at all. So as an apology... my promise to you, was to find Lector." I smiled gently.

"You would do that for me?! A promise that you made that I didn't even knew...?" he gawked as I walked towards them.

"Why wouldn't I? You said we were bestfriends... and I want to find out the answers. Best friends are important people in your life and I would hate to lose mine... and Sting, I have one favor to ask of you." I said as I kneeled on the ground facing him.

"Anything for you Cee-chan." he said without hesitating as he gently took my hands in his.

"W-Will you help me gather my memories back?" I softly asked while gazing on our clasped hands and then back to his brilliant blue eyes. In one swift motion, he pulled me into a tight hug and cried as I felt his warm tears making my shoulder wet.

"Of course dummy! That will be a promise. A new promise and my top priority that is first in line." he tightly squeezed me as I wrapped my arms around his neck and snuggled into him.

"A...Arigato... Sting-kun..." I shyly said.

This was my first time calling his name ending with -kun. I blushed as I felt him to grin against my shoulder. But then he lifted himself off from my shoulder and faced me with a stern look. I looked back to him with a confused look on my face.

"Call me um... Stin-stin-kun... instead..." his face flushed a deep red and looked away from my gaze, making my eyes to go as wide as dinner plates.

"E...Eto.... Stin-Stin...kun?" I said softly as the words came out of my mouth. This time I was blushing crazy and I could see Lector at the corner of my eye smirking. Geez, I'm going to wipe off that smirk of his! After what I had done for him and Lector repays me this!?

"Yes! That's right!" Sting beamed while shaking my shoulders and hugged me again into a tight embrace.

"Ahem.... Sorry love birds but please get a room." Gray said with a slight blush appearing on his face.

"W-We're not lovebirds! Just good friends!" Sting and I yelled at the Ice Mage.

"Cynthia. What do you mean by a making a promise last night when Sting was sleeping....?" Erza commented with a sly grin on her face... while Gajeel, Juvia and Laxus all smirked in mine and Sting's direction.

Sting and I looked at each other but remembered that we weren't the only ones here, so we quickly let go of each other's embrace and I sat a few steps away from him with my face flushed in embarrassment. 'I can't believe everyone saw that!' I thought.

"You know.. the lacrima vision is still up~" Erza wiggled her eyebrows at both, me and Sting. 'Well I'll be damned.' I thought and puffed my cheeks up, feeling my face turning even more different shades of red and covered my redness with both of my hands. I could faintly see Sting with a deep scarlet blush and steam coming out of his ears, while Lector was trying to tug at his jacket.

"Oi, Cynthia. How come you didn't tell us that you knew Sting?" I heard Gajeel asked.

"T-To be h-honest, I didn't know t-that Sting and I were best friends during the seven year gap when you guys w-were missing... I had an accident which... I fell off a cliff three years ago and even so... I still don't remember Sting, Lector, Rogue and Frosch." I sadly said with my blush still stained on my cheeks as I faced everyone.

"You fell off a cliff?!" This time it was Sting who stared at me in shock with worry and pain in his eyes and at his tone. I gave him a small smile for reassurance which he didn't seem to buy.

"I actually agree with him... you fell?!" Erza added in.

"How did you even fall off in the first place?" Juvia asked.

"But how did you remember that we were still at Tenrou Island during the seven year gap and yet you don't remember Sting and the rest...?" Laxus mentioned as he looked over to me with concern.

I shrugged my shoulders and looked away. I guess everyone knew that I didn't want to talk about this right now so they left it at that. Feeling something furry and warm on my arm, I turned to see Lector who held his paws on me and looked at me with worry. He was so cute! I carried him in my arms and snuggled with him and he did the same.

Soon Erza and the rest were talking about missing Natsu being on the team since we haven't anything from them for the whole tournament. Soon Erza mentioned about a flare up in the sky but no one had seem to have notice since they were concentrating on their past battle.

"A flare?" Sting piped up.

"Sting-kun, what are they...?" Lector turned to look at his partner from my arms.

"Hey..." Sting said towards Team Fairy Tail.

"Don't look at me with that annoying face!" a pissed looking Gajeel said, as he was being held back by Juvia so that he wouldn't hurt Sting. A sweat drop formed on my forehead while Lector jumped out from my embrace and hid behind Sting, frightened at the iron head's outburst.

"Hey, Gajeel-kun!" Juvia said as she was still trying to hold him back.

"Gajeel-san... calm down. Mataku..." I held the bridge of my nose making him to look at me with an irk mark making me to shake at his nonsense.

"Oh... I was just wondering why Natsu-san didn't participate." Sting asked, his face looking cute. But that made everyone to stay silent and stared away from him. I too, stared away and thought about what happened to Natsu and the rest. I wanted to know what happened and if they succeeded in their rescue mission.

"Did something happen to Natsu-kun?" Lector asked.

"Something... Lector... I'll explain it to the both of you soon..." I whispered to them and gave me a confused look.

"Promise?" Lector asked.

"I promise." I patted his head and looked over to Sting who was smiling at me and I returned it back.

"We should go... It looks like we are all being summoned for the King's presence..." Gray said as he looked into the direction of where the commotion was happening.

We all in nodded in agreement and made our way there. But before I could walk, I felt someone's warm hand interlocking theirs with mine. I turned to see that it was Sting who had a faint blush and scratched his cheek nervously, hoping that I would allow it. I rolled my eyes but returned him with a smile and locked our hands tightly together.

"Let's go!" he said while smirking.

"Lead the way Stin-stin-kun..." I mocked seeing his face turn red again but shook it off. Lector was now sitting on my shoulder as Sting lead me towards where Erza and the others who once walked on the path.

'Wonder what's up with the King?' I thought.
