Cynthia's POV

I woke up, feeling a ray of sunlight hitting against my face. Slowly opening my eyes, I raised my hand into a fist and rubbed my eye as I sat up and groaned.

Looking around the room, the first thing that came into my mind was getting ready for my job. Letting the excitement get to me, I fell off my bed and landed face flat. 'Ughhh... The things that happen to me when I get too excited, good job Cynthia... Way to start your morning!' I thought.

Forgetting of what happened I ran towards the bathroom to take a nice shower and to do my other business. Going back to my room, I changed into my outfit that consists of a black sweater that reached up to my waist, a white tank top underneath it, a pair of red shorts, black knee-high socks, and brown lace up boots that reach just below my knees.

Looking to see if I was satisfied with my outfit, I walked over to my full length mirror and complimented myself. I looked good... even though I was 12 years old. I let my hair down and loose to show my mid-half beach tanned hair that are in a few curls and tied two small pony tails on both sides of my head with red ribbon.

Completely satisfied, I grabbed my bag and walked towards my bedroom door. Thinking that this was my last stay here and coming back in a year was kind of hard to think about, but that didn't bother me as much.

I gave my room a last glance to close the door and walked down the hallway and skipping down happily towards the guild. 'Guess I should say my farewells to everyone..' muttering to myself, and not looking where I was going, I bumped into someone. I looked up to see Bisca and Alzack.

"Ahhh, sorry! I—I wasn't looking where I was going" I blushed.

"That's alright. I heard that you're going out on a job that's for a year. Is that true?" Bisca came down to my level and held my shoulders. "Ahh.. H-hai".

"That's for a long time, Cynthia-chan. We'll miss you!" Alzack came closer and patted my head.

"I'll miss you guys too... Everyone in the guild I will miss. D-demo... this isn't a goodbye, I'll be back before you know it!" I chirped. Bisca hugged me tightly and unwrapped her hug, making me to step back.

"Of course you will onee-chan!" Romeo said as he tippy toed over Bisca's shoulder and peered over to me.

"Yeah I will Romeo-kun!"

"You didn't forget to say your farewell to us... right Cynthia-chan?"

Wondering where that voice came from, I found the owner of the voice and it was Kinana, and everybody else was right behind her.

"Oi! Minna! Of course I didn't forget you! We're nakamas!" I ran up to everyone while grinning. Romeo, Bisca and Alzack were following right behind me.

"We'll miss you, and please be careful" one of them shouted.

"I will! I'll try to come earlier... I hope"

"Of course you will!" Romeo commented.

Giggling, I patted his head and messed up his hair in the process.

"O-oi! Don't mess up my hair... Geez..." he waved his hand to shoo mine away and gave me a cheeky grin.

"You got everything you need?" someone in the crowd asked.

"Hai!" I yelled.

"Do you need anymore jewels with you?"

"Do you want me to come with you?"

"Have you packed enough?"

They just kept on bombarding questions at my face, causing me to sweatdrop. As much as I loved them and that they really care for me, it was starting to get annoying. Knowing that this talk would keep on going, I lifted my hand as a stop sign which caused them to stop talking and stare at me.

"No I do not need anymore jewels, no thank you! I would like to go on this trip for experience alone to learn new things, but thank you for your offer. Yes I have packed enough with this—" saying all in one breath to answer while pointing to my bag that was lying on my shoulder.

They stared at me with disbelief. "What?" I pondered.

"Guys, our little Cynthia-chan is growing up!" Laki fake cried.

"I know! She's not a young kid anymore" cried Wakaba.

"G-goodluck! H-have lot's o-of fun and be—" Macao stuttered and tried to hold his tears.

"And be safe, ne?" I interjected his speech and winked. That caused them to cry even more.

"G-guys! Remember, this isn't goodbye! It's just a job and it's not like I'm leaving the guild!" I puffed my cheeks.

"We know... we just don't want to lose...." Alzack sniffed.

"Ahh... I-I know... don't worry. I will definitely come back! If I don't come back who is going to be there to help out around the guild?" I giggled, trying to make everyone feel better.

"Well, I'll be going off now! See you soon everyone!"

I could hear everyone calling for my name, saying their farewells and good luck. Slowing losing the sound of their voices, I looked back to wave at everyone with a small smile and turned around to walk down the path leaving the entrance of Fairy Tail.

Time Skip - 5 Hours Later

Waiting on the train bored me so much. 4 hours have already passed by, and there was an hour left to go. Sighing, I looked out the window and slowly remembered the times I went on a few missions with Natsu, Erza, Gray, Lucy and sometimes with Wendy.

'Where could've they gone too? Tenrou island.... Tenrou island... Oh why did you vanish? Fairy Tail is not the same without them. I even miss Happy and Carla, they would always snuggle up in my arms whenever we go on train rides. I love exceeds! I wish I could cuddle up with one right now.' I thought in my mind.

My eyes skimmed through the landscape as the train was moving. Soon my eyes were slowly closing and I was enveloped in darkness.

"E-excuse... Miss?" someone gently shook me.

"Ugh... five more minutes Mom" I swatted the hand away.

"Young lady, you have to wake up! We're here at the last train stop. If you don't get up, you'll miss it..." he shook me once more.

Opening one eye lid. I glared over to him.

"Miss...?" says the voice said.

I gave it some thought about what he said. Putting all of the pieces together in my mind, my other eye shot open and mouth hanged out.

"Ahhh!!!! Gomenasai!" I yelled as I ran out the train.

"Oh and thanks!" I added while running out of the train station. The crew member replied to me by giving me a sweat drop.

After some time, I was walking around town and it was... how should I put it? Oh! Amazing! But first things first! I need to find the client of whom I have accepted the job from.

So... my client's name was Riza Kyoko. Having no idea of where she was located, which I should've done before I left, ugh.

I asked a few people living in the town. Obviously you should ask if you don't know, right? Heh. Curiously, I walked up to this lady who seemed to be friendly. I tugged at her shirt.

"A-ano... Excuse me miss, but do you know where I can find this Riza Kyoko person?" I asked shyly.

"Ohh, look at you! You're adorable!" she squealed in delight. Making me to smile nervously.

"A-arigato... Ma'am. But do you know?"

"Ahh, yes I do! She's a dear friend of mine. I'll take her to you!"

"Thank you so much!"

"You're welcome dearie. But I want something in return" she grinned.

I gulped nervously.

"U-uh.. and what would that be...?"

"I want to pinch those cute cheeks of yours and a hug!" she excitedly proposed.

This caused me to sweatdrop but I nodded anyways.

'Hope she doesn't pinch me too har— ' I thought but replaced it with a squeal. "Kyaaah!!!"

"You're adorable! I just want to eat you up!" causing me to blush but winced at her tug on my cheek. She let go and hugged me tightly in a bear hug. 'C-can't breath!' I thought.

After a while which seemed like forever, she slowly let go and smiled.

"Let us be on our way!" she walked happily away from.

"Y-yeah..." I winced while rubbing my cheek. I swear that it's probably swollen and red like Erza's hair. Ignoring the throbbing pain on my cheek, I ran to catch up with her.

By some time now, we've reached this huge house. It wasn't as big as Lucy's mansion she used to live with her parents but like half of it, judging by the size. We walked up to the doorstep and the 'lady' of whom I forgot to ask her name, knocked on the door.

Standing there patiently, the door opened to see a woman who appeared to be in her late 20's? She was really pretty though. She had long black silky hair and bright green eyes.

"Oh, why hello there Kizuna-chan! What brings you here?" the woman who opened the door asked.

"Ah this young one right here was looking for you, so I decided to take her since I couldn't say no because she is absolutely cute!" Kizuna beamed, the one who brought me here.

This caused me to blush a bright red, making the woman at the door to laugh lightly.

"Well thank you! Both of you come in! Don't just stand there" she chirped.

"That's okay, I'm running off for an errand but thank you for the offer! Maybe next time?" Kizuna replied.

"Oh, alright then. See you!" the lady with black hair waved.

"U-um... Arigato Kizuna-san!" I bowed and smiled politely.

She smiled back. "No problem! Hope we can bump into each other again, see you!" she waved and walked off. 'She didn't even ask for my name...weird...' I thought.

I turned back to face the lady with black hair and walked my way into her home which she insisted me to go inside. She lead me to her living and I took a seat as she took hers.

"I'm assuming that you're the one who accepted my job offer?" she raised an eyebrow.

"Oh yes! That's me. Cynthia Adara from Fairy Tail! Nice to meet you!" I beamed and lifted my hand for a handshake. She gave me a warm smile and lifted her hand into mine to shake.

"Nice to meet you too, Cynthia-chan! I'm Riza Kyoko. The one who issued the job, but you can just call me Riza-chan".

"A-Ah alright then, Riza-chan it is. So tell me about this job that you posted, what is it about this mirror?" I asked.

"Well, it all started with..." Riza mumbled.
