I woke up in a bed. Under the sheets. I didn't have my cloak with me. I looked to my right and seen D/n asleep on the floor. I looked at my arm and there was a bandage around the cut. I sat up and looked around. I was in a huge tree. I heard footsteps and Aphmau came up. She noticed me and ran towards me.

   " Thank goodness your awake. Here can you follow me please..."

She looked at me with pleading eyes.

   " Y/n."

She squealed and took my hand and started dragging me down the stairs. I yanked my hand back.

   " Why should I follow you last time it didn't end so well."

   " Y/n, please. I'm going to get you changed into some better clothes and walk you to the others."

She grabbed my hand and started running. We ran to a house that was purple and white. She brought me inside and handed me some clothes. Before I knew it I was pushed upstairs.

I walked out a little uncomfortable since it was a dress. 

   " That looks perfect on you Y/n! Now come on."

She grabbed my wrist and started dragging me away. She took me to what looked like a plaza. It was decorated.

   " What's all this?"

   " A welcome party."

   " A what?"

   " A party. A place where you can have fun."

I only nodded.

   " By the way, I left your wolf with Kiki."

I could only nod I didn't know what to say. Aphmau walked away and I walked over to the table full of sweets. The first thing I grabbed was F/d. I walked by a tree and leaned against it. 

   " How are you enjoying the party?"

I turned to see Laurence.

   " Fine, I guess."

   " Guess?"

   " Never really been to a party before."

   " Why not?"

   " Personal."

   " Okay. I won't dig any deeper."

   " Thank you."

   " Want to dance?"

   " Can't."

   " Why."

   " I can't dance."

He grabbed my hand and lead me to the dance floor.   

   " I can teach you. "  he said.

He wrapped his arm around my waist and held my hand with his other hand. I rested my other hand on his arm.

   " Now all you do is sway kind of."

I did as he said. I watched my footing. He lifted my head with his fingers. 

   " Watch me."

I nodded. We danced and It felt nice. 

   " Hey, you wanna go look at the stars?"

   " S-Sure. "

We stopped dancing. He grabbed my hand and lead me to a statue. It was a statue of Lady Irene. We sat on the ground and gazed up at the stars.

   " Y/n."

   " What?"

   " That's my name Y/n"

   " Well Y/n that's a very pretty name."

   " Thanks. Hey Laurence can I ask you something?"

   " Sure."

   " You think this place would be a good place for me to stay?"

   " Of course it would be. Why wouldn't it?"

   " It's just......In the past, I would go from village to village. They never welcomed me, if they did they made me leave."

   " Why?"

   " Cause I a woman would defend myself. Most villages are traditional and won't let a woman fight. Every time I went to a different village I would become more isolated. Eventually, I gave up finding a home and stayed in the woods. Until you guys came along. So I'm just making sure it's okay before I stay."

He came closer and held my hand.

   " Y/n it would be wonderful if you could make Phoenix Drop your home."

I smiled and looked down at our hands. Laurence did the same then he pulled away so did I.
 
   " Glad I can stay. I think I'm going to like it here in Phoenix Drop."

   " I know you will."

I smiled at him and we watched the stars together.

Why do I feel so different around her? Usually, I'm a Casanova, but with Y/n she makes me feel weak in the knees. I'm surprised I was able to talk to her without stuttering. She makes me feel warm inside. I hope I won't have any competition. Not that I'm worried. Who wouldn't love this handsome face?
