Chapter 6

It's been a week. Seungcheol paced back and forth in his office, his mind racing with thoughts and plans. He knew that Jeonghan was probably somewhere, laughing at them for being fooled.

As the sun began to set, the mood in headquarters grew more tense and urgent. The members were working around the clock, trying to track down Jeonghan, but he was proving elusive as ever.

Seungcheol was feeling frustrated and agitated, his anger and irritation growing with every passing moment. He was angry at himself for being outplayed by Jeonghan, but also at Jeonghan for being so good at what he did.

Wonwoo entered the office, looking serious and a bit frazzled. "I've got some news," he said, his voice tense.

Seungcheol looked up, a flicker of hope crossing his face. "What is it?" he asked, his tone sharp and urgent.

Wonwoo said. "We can't find him. His location is untraceable." Seungcheol cursed under his breath, feeling a pang of frustration.

"Unbelievable," he muttered, running a hand through his hair. "How the hell is he keeping his location hidden from us?"

Wonwoo shrugged, looking just as frustrated and bewildered as Seungcheol. "We've tried everything," he said. "Tracking his phone, tapping into security cameras, even asking informants. But he's completely off the grid."

Seungcheol's jaw tightened, his anger growing stronger. "He's always ten steps ahead of us," he said, his voice low and dangerous. "It's like he's taunting us, knowing that we can't catch him."

Seungcheol took a deep breath, trying to calm himself down. He knew that Wonwoo was right, but it was difficult to keep a level head when Jeonghan seemed insurmountably out of reach.

"You should go to the bar for a few drinks. Relax for some time." Wonwoo suggested, fixing his hair.

Seungcheol considered this for a moment, weighing the pros and cons. On the one hand, he could use a break from the relentless search for Jeonghan and the constant stress of being a gang leader. On the other hand, he couldn't afford to relax too much, as Jeonghan might take advantage of any lapse in attention.

After a moment of thought, he decided that a night out might be a good idea. It would give him a chance to clear his head and relax a bit, and he could always keep an eye out for any information on Jeonghan while he was out.

"Alright," he said to Wonwoo, making up his mind. "I'll go to a bar tonight. Maybe a drink or two will help take the edge off."

Wonwoo nodded, knowing that Seungcheol needed the break. "Good idea," he said. "Just don't let your guard down too much. You never know who you might encounter at a bar."

Seungcheol grunted in agreement, already knowing that he would have to be vigilant even when relaxing. "Don't worry," he said. "I can handle myself, even with a few drinks in me."

He got up from his desk and grabbed his coat. "I won't be gone for too long," he said to Wonwoo. "Let me know if there are any developments while I'm out."

Wonwoo nodded and watched as Seungcheol left the office, hoping that a night out might help him relax and come back with a clear mind.

Seungcheol stepped out of headquarters and made his way to a nearby bar. As he walked, he tried to push thoughts of Jeonghan and the diamond out of his mind, telling himself that he deserved a break after dealing with the thief for so long.

When he arrived at the bar, he found a spot at the counter and ordered a drink. As he sipped his drink, he took in his surroundings, scanning the other patrons and trying to keep an eye out for anything suspicious.

The atmosphere of the bar was loud and lively, with music blaring and people laughing and chatting. Seungcheol found himself relaxing despite himself, the alcohol helping to loosen his tension and his guard.

He found himself engaging in conversation with the person next to him at the bar, exchanging casual banter and discussing various topics. As he talked, he found himself feeling more relaxed and at ease, the stress of being a gang leader temporarily melting away.

As Seungcheol was about to take another sip of his drink, he suddenly saw a familiar face out of the corner of his eye. He nearly spat out his drink in surprise at the sight of Jeonghan sitting at a nearby table, sipping on a drink and looking completely unbothered.

Seungcheol's heart rate instantly quickened as he saw Jeonghan sitting there so casually, as if he wasn't the object of his intense manhunt. He couldn't believe that Jeonghan had the audacity to show up in a place like this, knowing that he was being hunted.

Seungcheol felt a rush of anger and irritation as he thought about the thief's audacity. He wanted to confront Jeonghan right there and then, but he knew that he needed to be careful. The last thing he wanted was a public scene that would draw unwanted attention.

He continued to watch Jeonghan from the corner of his eye, taking in the thief's casual demeanor and his relaxed position. Jeonghan seemed completely at ease, as if he knew that Seungcheol wouldn't dare to approach him in a public place like this.

Seungcheol clenched his jaw as he continued to watch him from his spot at the bar. He knew that he was the only one who had seen Jeonghan's face, which made him feel a sense of power and superiority. But at the same time, it infuriated him to see him lounging about so casually, as if he didn't have a care in the world.

Seungcheol's mind was racing as he considered what to do. Should he confront him now, or wait for a better opportunity? Would it be worth the risk of causing a scene in front of all these people?

He took another sip of his drink, his mind still weighing his options. He couldn't let Jeonghan get away with his arrogance and nonchalance, but he also had to be careful and strategic in his approach.

He continued to watch Jeonghan, observing his every move and listening in on his conversation with the person sitting next to him. Seungcheol tried to keep his expression neutral and uninterested, not wanting to give away the fact that he was seething with anger underneath.

Jeonghan was sitting at the table, casually sipping his drink and chatting with the person next to him. Outwardly, he appeared calm and relaxed, as if he didn't have a care in the world.

Inside, however, he was fully aware of the fact that Seungcheol was watching him from the bar, even though the gang leader was trying to act nonchalant.

Jeonghan took another sip of his drink, feeling a sense of triumph and satisfaction at having fooled SCoups and his gang. He knew that they were probably tearing their hair out trying to figure out how he had managed to pull off the diamond exchange without raising any suspicion.

He chuckled to himself, enjoying the knowledge that he was always one step ahead of them.

As he continued to chat with the person next to him, Jeonghan couldn't help but keep an eye on him, who was still watching him from the bar. He could see the tension and anger radiating off the gang leader, and it only served to fuel Jeonghan's satisfaction even more.

Jeonghan considered the idea of walking over to SCoups at the bar, just to see how he would react. The thought of seeing the gang leader's face twist in anger and frustration was oddly satisfying, and he was tempted to go through with it.

But he also knew that it would be risky. The gang leader was probably already seething with anger, and there was no telling what he would do if Jeonghan walked up to him.

But on the other hand, Jeonghan had a way of getting under his skin like no one else. He knew that the gang leader would probably explode at the sight of him, and that thought was too tempting to resist.

Jeonghan finished his drink in one gulp, his mind made up. He was going to approach him and see how far he could push his buttons.

Jeonghan stood up and deliberately walked over to him. Jeonghan finally reached the bar and took a seat next to him, who was trying hard to keep his temper in check. Jeonghan could practically feel the angry energy radiating off the other man, and he couldn't help but smirk at the sight.

"Hello SCoups. Nice meeting you again." Jeonghan said in a lazy tone leaning against the bar.

Seungcheol gritted his teeth, his jaw tightening even more as Jeonghan sat down next to him. "What the hell are you doing here," he growled through clenched teeth.

Jeonghan chuckled at his reaction, enjoying the fact that he had already managed to get under the gang leader's skin. "Oh, just out for a bit of relaxation, you know," he said, his voice light and nonchalant.

Seungcheol clenched his fists, his control slipping as he tried hard not to punch Jeonghan in the face. "Relaxation my ass," he snarled. "You're here to mess with me, aren't you?"

Jeonghan grinned, clearly enjoying the fact that he had gotten under SCoups skin so easily. "Oh, come on," he said, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "You can't blame me for wanting to celebrate a little. After all, I did just manage to trick you and your gang."

Seungcheol's jaw clenched even tighter, his anger almost at boiling point. "You're a cocky little son of a bitch, you know that?" he hissed between gritted teeth.

Jeonghan just shrugged, unbothered by his anger. "I can't help it if I'm just that good," he said, with a smirk. "I mean, let's be honest, you're no match for me when it comes to strategy and wit."

Seungcheol's eyes blazed with anger, his patience wearing thin. "You're lucky we're in public right now, or I would have wiped that smirk right off your face," he growled, his voice low and dangerous.

Jeonghan just chuckled, clearly not intimidated by his threats. "Oh, I'm so scared," he said mockingly. "What are you going to do, hit me?"

Jeonghan just shrugged, nonchalant and unconcerned. "Oh, I have an inkling," he said, still wearing a smirk on his face. "But I doubt you'll do anything in a crowded place like this."

Seungcheol clenched his teeth, his patience at its limit. Every instinct in him was telling him to grab him and force him to listen. But he knew that the thief was right, and that any violent outburst here would only draw unwanted attention.

He took a deep breath, trying to calm himself down. "You're lucky I have some self-restraint," he growled through clenched teeth, his voice barely above a whisper.

Jeonghan chuckled, clearly enjoying getting under his skin. "Oh, I know," he said. "But it's a shame, really. I was hoping you would lose your temper and cause a scene. It would have been fun to see you lose control in public."

Seungcheol tensed as he felt Jeonghan's finger tracing along his arm. He wanted to curse and swat the thief's hand away, but he held himself back, knowing that it would only give Jeonghan the satisfaction he wanted.

Jeonghan continued to trace his finger along Seungcheol's arm, a lazy, almost sultry smile on his face. "You know," he said, his voice a bit slurred from the alcohol, "You have really nice arms. Strong and muscular. I bet you could pin me down pretty easily with those."
