Chapter 4

Jeonghan paused, his irritation returning at being blocked by the gang leader. "What kind of condition?" he asked warily.

Seungcheol took another step closer to Jeonghan, his proximity making the thief feel uneasy. "I want you to remove your mask," he said firmly. "I want to see your face."

Jeonghan's heart skipped a beat at his demand. He had always kept his identity hidden behind his mask, never allowing anyone to see his face. The thought of revealing it to the leader of Seventeen sent a wave of anxiety through him.

"I'm not taking off my mask," he said firmly, trying to hide the fear in his voice. "Why do you even want to see my face? It's none of your business."

Seungcheol smirked at Jeonghan's stubbornness. "I just want to see if your face is as pretty as your eyes," he said, his tone suggestive. "Come on, do it. Take off your mask."

Jeonghan felt his stomach flutter involuntarily at his suggestive tone. He tried to maintain his composure, but he couldn't deny that the gang leader's interest in his face was making him feel flustered.

"No," he said firmly, standing his ground. "I'm not going to take off my mask. It's none of your business what my face looks like."

Seungcheol stepped even closer to Jeonghan, their faces now just inches apart.

"Come on, don't be so stubborn," he said, his voice dropping to a low murmur. "Just take it off for a moment, that's all. I just want to see what you look like. I just want to make sure you won't come in my way again."

Jeonghan paused at his words, realizing that the gang leader was unlikely to let him go without seeing his face. The thought of revealing his identity sent a pang of fear through him, but he also didn't want to risk antagonizing him further.

"Fine," he said reluctantly, his voice barely above a whisper. "I'll take off my mask, just for a moment. But then you have to let me go, and you can't tell anyone what I look like."

Seungcheol's eyes gleamed with excitement at Jeonghan's agreement. "Deal," he said, a sly smile on his face. "I promise I won't tell anyone, I just want to have a quick look."

Jeonghan took a deep breath, trying to calm his nerves. He reached up and slowly pulled down his mask, revealing his face to Scoups.

Seungcheol's breath caught in his throat as Jeonghan's face was revealed. The thief had the most beautiful features he had ever seen - a sharp jawline, high cheekbones, and a pair of piercing eyes that seemed to bore into his soul. "Damn," he muttered, completely taken aback by Jeonghan's beauty.

Jeonghan felt naked and vulnerable under his intense gaze. He hadn't realized how revealing taking off his mask would feel, how exposed and vulnerable he would be. He could feel his heart racing as the gang leader studied his face, trying to ignore the way his eyes lingered on his lips.

Seungcheol couldn't tear his eyes away from Jeonghan's face. He had expected the thief to be attractive, but he hadn't expected him to be so stunningly beautiful. He could feel his heart pounding in his chest as he stared at Jeonghan's lips, a strange desire stirring within him.

Jeonghan shifted uncomfortably under SCoup's unwavering gaze. The gang leader's eyes were fixed on his face, studying every feature as if he was trying to commit it to memory. Jeonghan could feel himself blushing under the intensity of his stare, feeling exposed and vulnerable in a way he had never felt before.

Jeonghan quickly pulled his mask back up, relieved to hide his face once again. But he couldn't ignore the effect that his gaze had on him, the way his heart was still racing and his cheeks were still flushed.

Seungcheol was still staring at Jeonghan, his mind still reeling from the sight of the thief's face. He felt strangely disappointed that Jeonghan had covered his face again, but he couldn't deny the effect the thief's beauty had had on him.

"So can I go." Jeonghan murmured.

Seungcheol stared at Jeonghan for a moment longer, his eyes still lingering on the thief's lips. But he eventually nodded, realizing that he couldn't keep Jeonghan there forever. "Yeah," he said reluctantly. "You can go."

Jeonghan let out a sigh of relief as he gave him permission to leave. He felt like a weight had been lifted off his shoulders, but there was still a nagging feeling in the back of his mind, a feeling that he couldn't quite shake.

Jeonghan got into his car and quickly drove away from the warehouse, the memory of his intense gaze still lingering in his mind. He couldn't understand why the gang leader had been so captivated by his face, and the thought left him feeling unsettled.

Once Jeonghan had left, the members of Seventeen gathered around Seungcheol, their curiosity piqued by the interaction they had just witnessed. "What the hell was that all about?" Hoshi asked, his eyes wide with amazement.

"Yeah, since when do you let a thief go that easily?" Jun chimed in, his eyebrows raised in surprise.

Seungcheol ran a hand through his hair, annoyed at the questioning of his behavior. "I had my reasons," he said gruffly, avoiding their gazes.

"Your reasons?" Vernon piped up, his eyes narrowing in suspicion. "Is there something you're not telling us, boss?"

Seungcheol gritted his teeth, irritated by Hansol's implication. "It's none of your business," he snapped. "Just leave it, okay? I just saw his face."

The other members looked at each other, their curiosity growing even more. "You actually saw his face?" Chan asked, his eyes widening in surprise.

"Yeah, I saw his face," Seungcheol confirmed, a hint of irritation in his tone. "And let's just say he was a lot more attractive than I expected."

"More attractive than you expected?" Jun echoed, a sly smile on his face. "Careful, boss, you're sounding a bit smitten."

Seungcheol's cheeks tinged red at Jun's implication, and he shot him a scathing look. "Watch it," he warned, annoyance creeping into his voice.

The other members snickered, clearly enjoying teasing Seungcheol. "Yeah, you looked pretty whipped, boss," Wonwoo chimed in, a mischievous grin on his face.

Seungcheol scowled at his members, getting increasingly frustrated by their relentless teasing. "Shut up," he said, his voice tight with annoyance. "Just because I found him attractive doesn't mean anything."

"Sure, boss," Mingyu said, his tone dripping with sarcasm. "I'm sure the fact that you found him stunningly beautiful has nothing to do with your decision to let him go."

The members chuckled at Seungcheol's flustered reaction but knew better than to press any further. They fell silent and followed him out of the warehouse, still exchanging knowing glances among themselves.

As they headed back to their headquarters, Seungcheol couldn't help but think about Jeonghan's face again. He had to admit that the thief was incredibly attractive, but he refused to acknowledge the strange sense of attraction and flustered behavior he had just displayed.

He tried to shake off the memory of Jeonghan's face, but the image kept coming back to him like a stubborn ghost. He couldn't understand why he was so drawn to the thief, and it was driving him crazy. He had to find a way to get Jeonghan out of his mind.

Once they arrived back at headquarters, Seungcheol excused the members and went to his office, determined to distract himself with work and forget about Jeonghan and the strange effect he had on him.

But despite his best efforts, Seungcheol found himself distracted. He tried to focus on work, but his thoughts kept drifting to Jeonghan's eyes, his lips, his defined jawline.

Seungcheol groaned in frustration, annoyed with himself for letting a thief consume his thoughts like this. He tried to convince himself that it was just a momentary fascination, that he would forget about Jeonghan eventually. But something deep within him told him that it was more than just a fleeting attraction.

On the other hand, Jeonghan arrived at his apartment, his mind still reeling from the encounter with Scoups. He couldn't shake the feeling of the gang leader's gaze on his face, the way he had studied every feature as if he was trying to commit it to memory.

As he removed his mask and looked in the mirror, he couldn't help but feel a pang of self-consciousness. He had never experienced anyone looking at him like that before, with such intense fascination. The effect it had had on him, the way his heart had raced and his face had flushed under his scrutiny.

Jeonghan splashed some water on his face, trying to calm himself down. He couldn't understand why Scoups had been so captivated by his face, or why he had let him go so easily. He had expected the gang leader to be intimidating and ruthless, but instead he had seemed almost mesmerized by Jeonghan's features.

Jeonghan's thoughts kept returning to the moment when he had removed his mask and revealed his face to him. The look in the gang leader's eyes, a mix of surprise and fascination, as if he had seen something captivating and beautiful.

Jeonghan was suddenly snapped out of his thoughts by the sound of his son's voice calling for him. He turned to see Haneul standing in the doorway of the bathroom, his big eyes looking up at him.

Jeonghan smiled at his son's innocent face, feeling a wave of affection and protectiveness wash over him. He quickly pushed his thoughts about SCoups to the back of his mind and stepped out of the bathroom to scoop up Haneul in his arms.

"Hey, chipmunk." Jeonghan said, ruffling Haneul's hair affectionately. "What's up? Were you looking for me?"

Haneul nodded, snuggling into Jeonghan's chest. "Yeah," he mumbled, his small arms wrapping around Jeonghan's neck. "I wanted to know if you would read me a story before bed."

Jeonghan's heart melted at his son's request. "Of course, chipmunk." he said, pressing a kiss to the top of Haneul's head. "Let's go to your room and pick out a book."

Jeonghan carried Haneul to his room and helped him pick out a bedtime story. As he read to his son, Jeonghan's mind kept wandering back to the gang leader and the strange encounter they had had.

But as he looked at his son's peaceful face, Jeonghan was reminded of the reason why he had to be cautious and keep his identity hidden. He knew that his secret would only put Haneul in danger if it ever came out, and he was determined to protect his son at all costs.

Jeonghan finished reading the story and tucked Haneul into bed, pressing another kiss to his forehead. "Good night, sweetheart," he said softly. "I love you."

Haneul smiled sleepily up at Jeonghan, his eyelids already drooping. "Love you too, daddy," he mumbled, snuggling deeper into his blankets.

Jeonghan walked out of Haneul's room and quietly closed the door behind him. He sighed, feeling guilty for always having to keep secrets from his son, but he knew it was necessary to keep him safe.

He went to his own bedroom and retrieved the tracking device he had hidden in a drawer.

Jeonghan turned on his computer and plugged in the tracking device, his heart racing as the computer quickly found the location of the diamond. He couldn't help but smile as the coordinates appeared on the screen, a surge of excitement coursing through him.

Jeonghan chuckled to himself as he looked at the GPS coordinates. "Those idiots," he muttered. "They have no idea what they're dealing with."

He quickly wrote down the coordinates and began planning his next move.
