Chapter 2

It was Friday night and Jeonghan was getting ready for the auction. He had everything already prepared, including his outfit and his tools for the job. He was in a good mood, excited for the challenge that lay ahead.

As he donned his suit, Jeonghan mentally went over his plan for the evening. He had already done some recon on the location and knew that the security would be tight. But he was confident in his skills and abilities.

Jeonghan checked his appearance in the mirror, making sure that everything was perfect. He looked sharp and expensive, exactly the kind of person who would attend an auction like this.

He slipped the card into his pocket and checked his other tools one last time. He had his lock picks, a small tool kit, and a mini camera that he would use to document his every move.

With everything prepared, Jeonghan took a deep breath and headed out. As he walked out of the apartment, he felt a pang of excitement and nervousness.

The venue for the auction was a high-end event space, and Jeonghan could see the security guards standing at the entrance, checking the invitations thoroughly.

He took another deep breath and walked up to the entrance, trying to look as confident as possible. One of the security guards held out his hand, and Jeonghan handed him his fake invitation.

The guard looked at the invitation carefully, comparing it to the list of real ones. Jeonghan's heart rate increased as he waited for the verdict, but he forced himself to maintain a neutral expression on his face.

Finally, the guard nodded and gestured for Jeonghan to enter. Jeonghan breathed a sigh of relief and walked inside, grateful that his plan had worked.

The inside of the venue was even more extravagant than the outside, with opulent decor and expensive attendees. Jeonghan could see the diamond on display in the center of the room, guarded by more security men.

He knew he had to be careful, as there were security cameras placed around the room, monitoring every movement. He decided to explore the surroundings, trying to find the location of the security control room.

Jeonghan weaved his way through the crowd, trying to blend in as best as he could. He passed by some of the guests, striking up small talk here and there, carefully assessing the security and the people around him.

Finally, he spotted the location of the security control room. It was located behind the stage, with only two guards standing at the entrance. Jeonghan made a mental note of the location and continued to explore the venue.

He wandered around, observing the room from different angles. He noticed the cameras placed in strategic locations, as well as the bodyguards around the diamond. He needed to find a way to distract them and get closer to the diamond.

As he continued his exploration, Jeonghan spotted a waiter carrying a tray of champagne glasses. He quickly came up with an idea and approached the waiter, acting as if he were interested in the champagne.

The waiter handed Jeonghan a glass of champagne, and Jeonghan took it with a polite smile. He turned around and scanned the room, finally spotting the security guard who was standing closest to the table with the diamond.

Jeonghan slowly approached the guard, making sure to look casual and carefree. He pretended to trip slightly, spilling some of the champagne on the guard's uniform.

"Oh, I'm so sorry!" Jeonghan exclaimed, acting apologetic. "I'm a bit clumsy, I didn't mean to spill on you!"

Jeonghan smiled sheepishly. "I will, I promise. How about I get you a napkin to clean up?"

The guard was about to reject the offer when Jeonghan quickly said, "I'll be right back." Without waiting for a response, he turned and walked quickly to the back of the venue, heading towards the security control room.

As he reached the control room, Jeonghan quickly looked around to make sure no one was watching. He saw that there were two guards inside, both of them looking bored as they watched the screens.

Jeonghan knew he only had a few minutes before the guard he had spilled the champagne on would start looking for him. He took out his lock picks and quickly opened the door, slipping inside quietly.

The guards inside the room looked up in surprise as Jeonghan entered. Before they could react, Jeonghan quickly moved forward, knocking them out with a few well-aimed blows.

The guards fell unconscious, and Jeonghan quickly made his way to the control panel. He took out his mini camera and began recording all the footage from the security cameras, making sure to capture every angle of the diamond's location.

Jeonghan quickly worked on the control panel, removing all traces of the footage and blocking the cameras. He made sure to cover his tracks, leaving no evidence of his tampering.

Once he was satisfied that he had successfully disabled the security cameras, Jeonghan headed back out of the room, making sure to close the door behind him.

Jeonghan checked his watch, seeing that he had around 30 seconds until the blackout would begin. He quickly hid himself in a dark corner, trying to stay hidden from the remaining guests.

Jeonghan waited patiently for the blackout to begin, and as soon as the lights went out, he quickly made his move. He moved fast and quietly, swiftly grabbing the diamond and replacing it with the exact piece he had prepared.

The blackout only lasted for a few seconds, and as soon as the lights came back on, Jeonghan was hiding in the same corner, looking as if he had been there the entire time.

He could hear the other guests murmuring anxiously, wondering what had happened. Jeonghan tried to act as casual as possible, glancing at the security guards around the room to make sure they were still distracted.

The guards were busy checking the security system, trying to figure out what had caused the outage. Jeonghan knew he had a small window of opportunity to escape, and he wasn't going to waste it.

He slowly made his way to the exit, keeping to the shadows and trying to blend in as much as possible. Once he was out of the venue, he breathed a sigh of relief and walked quickly to the parking lot.

He reached his car, got in, and started the engine. As he drove away from the venue, Jeonghan felt a sense of triumph and satisfaction. He had successfully stolen the diamond, and he had done it without getting caught.

He chuckled to himself as he drove back to his apartment, already imagining all the things he could do with the money. He had always lived a modest life, but this score would change everything.

Jeonghan suddenly tensed up as he noticed the three cars following him. He had a feeling that they were not just ordinary vehicles, and that they were tracking him.

He glanced at his gas meter, calculating how much further he could drive before he needed to fill up. He didn't want to stop too soon and risk giving away his position, but he also needed to make sure he had enough gasoline to get away.

Thinking quickly, Jeonghan reached into the glove compartment and grabbed his signature mask. A wicked joker. He quickly put it on, covering his face and hiding his identity. He glanced in the mirror, making sure that the mask was securely in place.

He kept driving, trying to think of a way to shake off the cars following him. He knew he couldn't lead them back to his apartment, as it would put his cover at risk.

Jeonghan continued to weave in and out of the crowded streets, trying to lose the cars that were following him. He took every turn unexpectedly, trying to throw them off his scent.

After several minutes of intense driving, Jeonghan thought he had lost the cars that had been following him. He slowed down a bit, trying to catch his breath and think about his next move.

Jeonghan's heart sank as he saw the cars and two more bikes following him again. They were persistent, and they weren't going to give up easily. He gritted his teeth, knowing that he was in a dangerous situation.

Jeonghan quickly made a decision to head to an abandoned warehouse nearby. He knew that he would have to face the cars and bikes that were following him eventually, and the warehouse would be the perfect place to do it.

He navigated through the streets, finally reaching the warehouse. He parked his car and got out, knowing that the cars and bikes would arrive any moment.

He waited for the cars and bikes to arrive, trying to mentally prepare himself for the confrontation that was about to come. He knew that he was outnumbered, but he was determined to fight back.

Jeonghan reached into his pocket and grabbed the laser gun that he had hidden there. He knew that he was facing armed opponents, and he would need all the advantage he could get.

He held the laser gun out in his hand, aiming it towards the entrance of the warehouse. He could hear the sound of engines getting closer, and he could see the headlights of the cars and bikes approaching.

Jeonghan took a deep breath, trying to steady his nerves. He knew that the next moments would be crucial, and that he would have to be quick and precise in order to survive.

The cars and bikes pulled up outside the entrance of the warehouse, and several armed men got out. They all had guns and knives drawn, clearly ready for a fight.

Jeonghan quickly counted the number of armed men that had come into the warehouse. There were 12 in total, all of them looking tough and menacing. He knew that he was outnumbered, but he wasn't going to give up without a fight.

He aimed his laser gun at the men, trying to look intimidating. "Who are you and what do you want?" he called out, his voice steady and firm.

One of the men stepped forward, clearly the leader of the group. "We're here for the diamond," he said gruffly. "Hand it over and no one gets hurt."

Jeonghan couldn't help but notice that the leader of the group looked familiar. He was a tall and muscular man with fierce eyes and a permanent scowl on his face. And although Jeonghan didn't want to admit it, he had to admit that the man was kind of hot.

But now was not the time to be distracted by his good looks. Jeonghan needed to focus on the situation at hand. He shook off the thought and aimed his laser gun more firmly at the leader of the group.

"I'm not giving you anything," he said firmly. "So you can either walk away and leave me alone, or things are going to get ugly."

The leader of the group didn't seem intimidated by Jeonghan's threat. "You're outnumbered, and you don't stand a chance against all of us," he sneered.

"We'll see about that," Jeonghan retorted. "I've faced tougher opponents than you before."

The leader of the group chuckled. "You're cocky," he said. "But I bet that attitude won't last long once we get our hands on you."
