Chapter Eight

Janet entered Shawnette's loft in awe. She had always described what she said to be her fantasy home. "All black everything" she would say.

"You know I tried to picture this when you would talk about it... all the black I mean." Janet said as she wandered into the kitchen and stopped at the fire place. Shawnette grabbed the remote and with the push of a button, flames appeared. She smiled proudly. Janet glanced back at her.

"You trying to impress me?" Janet asked. Shawnette laughed.

"Black flames would've been impressive." Shawnette replied.

Janet wondered down the hallway and into Shawnette's bedroom and stopped in front of the bed.

Shawnette walked in slowly behind her. Janet glanced over her shoulder at her and drew a shallow breath.

"So what do you think?" Shawnette asked and leaned against the door frame.

"You know, I love the color black but the way you described it, it just sounded so dark and kind of depressing to me actually." She joked. Shawnette approached her from behind and pressed her body against her. Janet's pulse quickened as she continued. "But this doesn't feel sad to me."

Shawnette gripped her hips as she kiss Janet's neck and shoulders gently. Janet closed her eyes.

"So what does it make you feel?" Shawnette whispered against her skin.

"Like this..." Janet's words shivered from her lips as she guided Shawnette's hand slowly into her sweats, past her panties and into her warm and silky wetness.

They began to kiss hungrily as if they couldn't get enough of each other. Janet gasped for air as Shawnette released her lips and began taking off her clothes. Shawnette aggressively tugged and pulled at the Penny shirt until the already altered and worn fabric tore.

"No no no!" Janet said, but Shawnette didn't give her a second to dwell on it. She threw the shirt to the floor and picked Janet up and carried her over to the bed.

They fell back against the soft, dark sheets and Janet hurried to remove the remaining layers of clothes keeping them from being skin to skin. Shawnette stood up at the foot of the bed and removed her own clothes slowly.

Janet watched as her chocolate skin was revealed little by little. Janet moaned and she began to touch herself. Shawnette smiled and joined her on the bed.

She trailed her finger tips over Janet's skin, tracing over her full breasts, stomach and down to her inner thigh where Janet's fingers were soaked in her wetness.

"Don't stop." Shawnette said as she licked her lips and nodded her head with encouragement.

Janet spread her legs wider giving her a full view of her. Her fingers shined, leaving her thighs slick and glistening. She let out soft and sexy moans and rubbed herself faster. Shawnette kissed around her breasts and sucked each nipple into her mouth, teasing them with her tongue.

Janet's back arched as her moans grew louder.

"You're fucking perfect." Shawnette whispered and smiled as she attentively watched her every move. Her mouth watered at the sight of Janet's dripping fingers, making her want a taste.

Shawnette laid between her legs and proceeded to lick the wetness from her fingers as Janet continued to make small and more rapid circles around her clit.

Shawnette's tongue slipped between Janet's fingers and grazed her pearl forcing her to cry out as she started to shake and cum.

Janet sat up on her elbows and glanced down at her breathlessly. She caressed Shawnette's face with both hands as she continued to rock her hips slowly, then licked her lips and smiled.

"Time to clean up the mess you've made." She said as she lifted her hips bringing her pussy just inches away from Shawnette's mouth. "I wanna cum for you again." She said softly.

They devoured each other until they were exhausted and Janet had fallen asleep.

Janet opened her eyes slowly and looked around the room. Shawnette stood over by her vanity, naked and sipping from a glass a red wine.

Shawnette turned and looked back at her.

"Hey." She said and smiled.

Janet sat up against the head board and pulled the covers up all around her.

"Hi." She looked toward the window and noticed the lightening just before thunder started to roar. "What time is it?" She asked and reached for her purse to retrieve her phone.

"It's almost midnight. I figured I'd let you sleep and take you home in the morning."

"SHIT!" Janet said as she looked down at her phone. She quickly jumped out of the bed and started searching for her clothes.

"Slowdown, they're over there." Shawnette said and pointed to a chair in the corner of the room.

Janet hurried to get her clothes on. The Penny t-shirt was completely ripped and hanging on one side but she was in too much of panic to even realize.

"Janet, can you stop for a second." Shawnette said and tried to pull her close but Janet pulled away.

"Clarke has been calling me for hours. Gil too! Her flight was cancelled because of this fucking storm." She said in frustration. "I need to get home now."

Shawnette stared at her for a moment.

"Alright, I'll get dressed." She said.

Janet returned Gil's call once they were in the car.

"Where are you? We've been worried sick!" He said as soon as he answered. Janet could hear Clarke's voice is the background.

"Clarke is with you?" She asked.

"Yes, I had to pick her up from the airport." He said.

"Well I'm on my way home now. I'll be there soon." She said and hung up without saying goodbye.

When they pulled up to the house, Gil and Clarke were sitting outside on the steps waiting. They stood up just as the car pulled into the driveway.

Shawnette turned the car off and reached to open her door.

"No Shawn. Just please go home." Janet demanded. Shawnette glanced at her and got out anyway. She walked around to Janet's door and opened it as Gil and Clarke approached them. She smiled at Gil as he glared back at her.

"See, got her home safe and sound." She said as Janet got out. Clarke went to reached for Janet's hand but was intercepted by Gil.

He took hold of her first and pulled her away from them and towards the street.

"Gil what are you doing?" Clarke yelled in their direction, but they were already halfway across the street and out of ear range.

Gil stood in front of Janet with his arms folded, tapping his foot.

"What the fuck are you doing?" He snapped. "I can't fucking believe you! I should tell her the truth right now!" He said and stepped off the side walk. Janet grabbed him by the arm.

"Gil please!" She cried. Tears streamed down her face. "I don't know what I'm doing okay! I never know with Shawn." She said.

"Well you need to leave Clarke out of it until you figure it out. God dammit Dunk!" He said as he started to cry. "I can't keep looking in her face knowing you're doing this." He shook his head at her. "I thought you got her out of your system. Then here this bitch come again. She's like a fucking cockroach!" He yelled in frustration.

"I thought I was done with her too. It had been over a decade and then one day there she was."

"Are you hearing yourself right now? You are engaged Janet! To a great woman and you're about to fuck it all up! Looking for love my ass." He said and walked away from her and back towards his car.

"Gil!" She yelled as she followed him. "Gil stop! PLEASE!" She was afraid that he was going to march right up to Clarke and expose her.

Clarke met them at his car while Shawnette stood near hers.

"Gil what's going on?" Clarke asked but he didn't answer. He got in his car and slammed the door.

Janet tapped on his window but he ignored her, started the car and as they stepped onto the curb, he drove away.

"Damn it Gil!" Janet yelled.

"Janet what's going on? Where were you tonight? We called and text you." Clarke said. Janet could barely look at her.

"Baby I-"

"This is all my fault." Shawnette said as she walked over to them. "J didn't like the food I brought, so I decided to have her come back to my place and cook for us. We had a little too much wine and during our movie she fell asleep on my couch. I was going to wake her but thought she might need the rest. I'm sorry." Shawnette said.

"It's cool man, we were just worried." Clarke glanced at Janet. "Don't worry, I'll talk to Gil baby. This was worrying but he really overreacted ." Clarke said as she took Janet's hand into her own.

Shawnette glanced away.

"Well I better get home." She said. "I have a few dance classes that I'm teaching tomorrow but we should all do lunch sometime." She said as they all walked towards her car. "Oh and Clarke thank you so much, for setting this up. We made up for a lot of lost time tonight and I have you to thank for it." Janet eyes meet Shawnette's. She flinched as Shawnette leaned in and kissed her cheek. "I'll call you tomorrow. Goodnight ladies." She said and smiled as she opened her car door.

"Wait..." Clarke said. "It's kind of late and this storm is about to start up again at any moment." The rain started to mist all around them. "You could totally crash here if you want. We have a guest room."

Shawnette laughed nervously.

"I- uh, that's uh..." She began to stumble over her words.

"Clarke can I talk to you inside for a moment." Janet said, gripped her hand tight and pulled her inside the house, leaving Shawnette sitting in the driveway.

"What's wrong?" Clarke asked.

"Why would you offer for her to stay here?" Janet asked.

"I was just trying to be nice. What wrong? I thought you guys had made up." Clarke looked at her, confusion in her eyes.

"She's not my friend, we use to be friends." Janet said. "We just got back in touch. She's a stranger to me now and I don't want someone I don't know very well staying under our roof." She said folded her arms defensively. Clarke looked at her and sighed.

"Alright, I'll tell her never mind then." She said as she turned to head for the door.

"Clarke wait... you already offered baby. Just tell her to come inside." Janet said and quickly headed for the shower.

Clarke stopped and glanced back at her for moment and she opened the door a confetti of leaves blew around in the air as the rain and wind began to pick up. Shawnette got out the car and ran over to meet Clarke on the porch.

"Everything okay?" She asked. Just a short run from the driveway to the door and she was drenched from the rain.

"Yeah, were gonna get the room all set up for you." Clarke said as they walked inside and headed down the hallway. "There is a full bathroom. I'll get you some towels and some dry clothes." She said. Shawnette walked into the bedroom and took a seat on the bed.

"That would be great, thanks."
