The next month was infuriating and problematic. Valentine had escaped from the prison. Someone had helped him, someone from the inside. They were so close to issuing his execution, and it was a shame. The only good thing that had happened was that Magnus started to visit him in the institute again.

He was the only thing that keeps him from going insane from the constant work pressure. Today was no different. Alec was sitting and reading his files as Magnus was sitting on his desk playing with Alec's free hand. He brought Alec's hand closer to his face absentmindedly.

They wanted to eat out today, but it seemed like the clave had other plans for Alec. "You can go home, Magnus." Alec told him, kissing his hands while looking from the files. Magnus sighed and shook his head. "I think I'll keep you company." He murmured, playing around with a paperweight.

Alec looked up at him and smiled. "How about a kiss to make me work faster?" Alec asked as he smiled evilly. Magnus laughed as he tilted his head to kiss Alec, sitting carefully on the Shadowhunter's lap. Alec held his thigh and massaged it. Magnus let out a giggle as Alec bit his ear.

"Big bro-" Isabelle walked in and stopped. Alec immediately pulled away as Magnus gets off the table awkwardly. They both shuffled, trying not to look at Isabelle, who was now smirking. "Office sex? Alec I didn't know you were that brave."

Isabelle burst out into a fit of laughter as Alec's cheeks turned pink. Magnus smiled. "We were not having sex, Isabelle. I was just encouraging him." Isabelle looked suspicious. "Mhmm. Sure." She teased. Alec rolled his eyes.
