Adam and Jacob- Dynamic Check
It was fairly apparent Jacob and Adam had something different, something special. Adam would do so much as chuckle and Jacob would have to try to fight away a blush that he couldn't fight. Jacob would walk by and Adam's eyes would flicker to watch silently.
Holding hands was a completely normal thing for them, especially with how they generally walked as a polycule when there was enough room for all of them side by side. Jacob would quietly panic while Adam seemed completely oblivious but held on tight. It was funny as all hell to watch him be flustered that badly by something so simple and trivial.
Currently, Adam was looking up at him as they talked while leaned against the counter. He was so casual, so sure of himself. Sexy. The thought crossed Jacob's mind and he coughed into his hand to try and reorganize the mess he was quickly becoming at the prolonged exposure. He'd forgotten what they were talking about in favor of nonchalantly trying not to combust. He tried a lot with Adam, not so much effort wise as that came naturally, but simply to act like a normal person having a normal conversation.
"So anyways, then I killed all the puppies and kittens and blew up the orphanage on my way out," Adam finished with a knowing smile. "No one made it out alive. It was awesome."
Jacob took four seconds to catch up. "Wait, hold on a second..."
Adam poked his chest and giggled. "I've been talking about random shit for over three minutes and you just noticed now? I just told you a very detailed story about how I single-handedly took out a zombie horde a week ago by using my super saiyan powers harnessed by the power of friendship and rainbows." He laughed when Jacob grumbled and grabbed a drink. "Is something the matter, mate?"
Ugh. He hated Adam for doing such a perfect impression. "It's not that serious," He mumbled miserably.
Adam pulled out his phone and snapped a picture of his face to show to him. "Isn't it?"
Jacob pushed the phone away before he could see how ridiculous he looked. "I hate when you're right. You know you fluster me and you fuck around with it anyways."
He sighed happily, patting right over Jacob's heart. "I know, I'm really fucking great." He was all the more enticed when Jacobs eyes dropped to his hand. "Your hearts beating really fast. Don't faint on me, now."
Jacob was frozen in indecision for a few seconds before he (way too carefully) clasped their hands. "Are you flirting with me?" It was a genuine ask and a joke, but it worked out perfectly in the end.
Adam scoffed and his eyes darted to the side. "You need proof?" His shoulders went slack and before long he was a way darker shade of red than Jacob had ever gotten, all the way down to his chest.
Jacob's jaw dropped in thrilled surprise. "Did you just force a blush?"
"No, I was holding it back because when I blush it's always like this." He sighed and bunted his head against Jacob's chest, taking slight comfort when his heart started pounding faster. Their hands were still intertwined, which made it worse. Being near Jacob was making it worse. Everything was making it worse.
"AW!!!" An invisible audience made themselves known, Anna, and as loud as can be yelled, "GUYS COME QUICK!"
Jacob groaned in sync with Adam. "Ah, fucking 'ell, mate. We're gonna get the piss for sure now, ya cocked it up."
Adam chuckled deeply and shook his head. "You're being extra British on purpose."
"How else will I make you smile?"
Adam sighed, hating how he was now completely and totally flustered. He wasn't sure he could turn it off. "If I move, they're going to catch me blushing and I'll never live it down."
Instead of helping, Jacob presented him to the gang. If he combined his bi panic with his goofy, perhaps they'd not call him out too. "I caught him all soft and sweet. He's so scarlet he might swoon over me."
Jasmin clutched at her chest and swooned herself. "This polycule is so rewarding." She smacked Alex. "Where's your camera, dipshit?"
A few shuttering clicks nearly brought Adam to his knees. "Please don't leak those. I might not ever recover."
Connie shook her head and smiled. She still remembered the time he put her in a onesie, and now was as good of a time as any for a little revenge. "I think I have a much better idea."
A day later, Steven bounded in practically sparkling with excitement. "It's here!"
Adam had completely forgotten, but Jacobs glance at him with those green eyes halted any words he could think to say. He was so handsome, boyishly so. His freckles were undyingly cute but there wasn't a drop of innocence anywhere in him, especially not with that look.
Jacob apparently wasn't embarrassed by his obviously enamored smile. "Is something the matter, mate?"
Connie, Jasmin and Anna raced to the front door with a package and arguing about who got to open it.
Anna grabbed it and started tearing at the edges. "I discovered it! I should get to open it!"
Jasmin snatched it away. "Uhm, he's my boyfriend!"
Connie grabbed it and held it above both of their heads. "I think I should get to open it since it was my idea. Brains over beauty."
Hazel chuckled and took it from all of them, loving them and loving Adam being so flustered and annoyed by it. He sauntered over with it, his smile shit eating enough to already make Adam suspicious. "I think Adam should open it."
Steven wagged a finger. "I concur."
"Every time I think you guys can't get any more gay," Alex mumbled, readying his camera.
Adam eyed it suspiciously. "What the hell is even in here?" They shrugged so he pulled out a pocket knife and sliced it open carelessly. The tension was raised until he put it away and stared them down. "Stop that, you guys."
It wasn't that long ago that he was on the lighthouse and ready to fall, six months or so had passed. Still, the concern was a bit irritating.
Shoving that away he saw the top of a canvas and grinned. "Aw, did my babies paint Daddy a picture?" He teased, sliding it out. "I'll be sure to put it on the... fridge." His smile died right then and there as he looked right back at himself. "Oh my stars."
There he was in HD, leaned against Jacob with his arms crossed and huffy, sporting a deep blush and a small smile. Jacob was blushing too as he took it and stared. He mumbled something to himself before standing and heading to The Wall.
The Wall already had pictures of them all, from the very top and slowly working its way down. He placed it in a nice spot, near the middle and burst out laughing. "I just had the craziest moment of lucidity where I realized this is my actual life happening right now."
Steven flicked his wrist and a bubble appeared in reverse with a hammer and nails. "If you would." He popped it, dropping a few nails that Connie scolded him for and handed him the hammer. "I think Adam would probably hit the hammer over his face on purpose."
Over on the couch, Adam rested his hands on his face and whined lowly. "I love you guys and I hate what you're doing to me. I used to not feel anything at all."
Jacob, hammering it in, paused and turned to him. "And now?"
Adam shot up and grabbed two beers for himself. He downed the first before answering, "Now it's like living with you people does nothing but make me feel everything."
