"Thank you, jiejie." Returned Jace with a calm smile. It had helped him: it turns out that he just denies it, being dense.

The two went out and, everyone seemed as if their problems were out of their heads. Not only that, they were all cleared.

Although Jace had fear that he will be 'disgusting' (which is half true and not.) among people, he doesn't care. At the end of the day, someone will enter your life just to fuck it all up and you'll end up building it again, slowly. To point out as well: No books are directed to happy endings. There will be challenges and hardships, without them, life will just be... like... boring? Even pointless.

"So, everyone has released their problems, did they?" Tris asked, making everyone agree and nod. The latter smiled and suggested: "l think we should all sleep. Classes are still waiting for us."

"Wait, but, dinner?" Dominic humped, he'd realized that he didn't eat yet. Well, to be frank, no one in the group did... maybe?

"It's fasting day." Zack reminded causing Dominic to suddenly raise his head.

"NO ONE WARNED me about early fasting days... my snacks are still in the room." He almost shrieked. It's true, since when did they have early fasting?!

Elijah showed his phone: "Kiara-jie warned everyone in the group chat... were you flirting with your stuffed toys and fell asleep not to notice that? Or were you thinking about my brother?"

"Ew disgusting, wipe your mouth. I do not like your brother." Dominic almost turned into a rapper. He stated the words so fast that Elijah couldn't even understand a single word.

"Dom, I said Kiara-jie, not Dominic - are you okay?" Elijah asks which made silence reign the room. Later, everyone went up to mind their own business: sleep.

-THE NEXT DAY-

San Vedra was back to normal, with no celebrations, and no fights (for now.) Everyone was talking with one another and one was watching uhm... the hub.

"Ew, get away from me! You filthy ass!" Exclaimed one pupil to Callista who was just peacefully proceeding to her locker. She scoffed.

"I wasn't even touching you, nor did my shoulder touch your body. Why are you even watching something so sexual?" Callista pointed at the male student's phone: "If you're too angelic? Isn't that as disgusting or are you just a dumbass?"

The male crossed his arms: "Because these women are unlike you."

"Motherfucking excuse you?" The female snorted: "You are watching two people kiss and fuck- you even watch just the fuck scenes to satisfy your lust while being homophobic in real life- oh, what a talent." Her eyes dropped to a deadly serious stare: "Only a useless shit that belongs to the trash. It isn't even considered as a talent."

She left not waiting for a reply. What a situation to start a day, WHAT A DAY.

"That one homophobic SSC student- no character development, I see." Elijah laughed. He along with their couple of jiejie had encountered that official. He was living under a rock, thinking such queer relationships are easy.

"He's dumb, well, he does have brains but doesn't use it...regularly- ngl." Jace spat causing the two to laugh.

Callista followed: "Jace, stop being too blunt HAHAHAHA."

Her brother frowned: "What's wrong with being blunt? I mean- the truth hurts."

Tris rolled his eyes: "Jace has a point, if that SSC student still doesn't have a character development... the truth is there."

Everyone tutted at Tris playfully while they parted to go inside their classrooms.

The professor began to arrange everything needed for the class to start.

"Mind if I sit here, Elijah? Nice to meet you again."

A familiar female voice uttered. When Elijah looked, he saw Diana smiling at him.

"Diana! I'm surprised you aren't with Angelo and the group. I thought he kicked you or something." Elijah let out a gag after mentioning Angelo. That guy... had a lot of mistakes and faults done to other people.

Diana chuckled: "He doesn't have the power to. I and Elias formed that group. Angelo just begged for his spotlight... it reached its expiration date."

The two laughed. Elijah suddenly remembered Diana mentioning Elias: "Speaking of Elias... do you guys have a thing?"

Diana seemed shaken: "No, we don't. Elias has a girlfriend who's currently living in Australia. Meanwhile, Tyler is..."

Elijah's eyes widened. Wow, it was his first time being fooled to guessing: "He's your- You guys have a thi-"

"Hush!! Oh my, please!!" Diana turned into a deep red tomato with a strawberry color. Any red food could match the blush of her shyness, to be frank.

Elijah zipped his lips with an encouraging supportive smile.

"What about you and Jace-?"

Diana tilted his head: "I'm still surprised you both don't have a thing."

"Yeah, no... Mr. Red flirty flag."

"Ooh~~ new nickname for him? How'd he become such red?"

"As I said, flirt-"

The professor started to announce something a little unexpected.

"Class, due to us celebrating San Vedra's 90th anniversary this month... Half of our school classrooms will be occupied and used for school clubs. This was approved by the principal. Therefore, you will be sharing classrooms with two of the same sections. Section Hellavrien and section Valientes."

Shock overwhelmed the two frozen students at the back. (Diana and Elijah) They reacted as if they'd seen a hanging ghost right before their faces.

Tyler and the other half of Diana's group were in section Hellavrien. While Jace and the other of the Zàijiàn squad were in the opposite section: Valientes.

Whispers and opinions had been summoned through the whole classroom. It was as if they were cursing someone and reciting a chant.

"I'm... staying beside you." Diana gulped so suddenly when she heard half of section Hellavrien transfer.

Elijah seemed tense. He knew Jace wouldn't resist flirting with him, that's it, he'll stay beside Diana as well. Out of trouble.

"This is temporary, right? So... Yes, tem-po-ra-ry." Elijah cuts the word 'temporary' and murmured it one time. He then repeated it in his head afterward.

"Section Hellavrien, You may come in."

Some Hellavrien students came in, silent. They sat to where vacant seats were placed. Tyler's eyes seem to land on his girlfriend talking to someone.

Diana took a small glance and bit her lip: "Hey... Jace... He isn't aggressive, i-is he?"

Elijah blinked: "You've seen how he holds a gun, don't you? What do you think?! What the fuck is even happening?"

"Tyler's staring at us. I pray, he and Jace won't be seatmates or else..." Diana nervously looked at Elijah who stared back at her.

"We both are dead."

Knowing there were two possessive and aggressive (one is with feelings and the other one does, secretly.) People in class joined together... which might not end well.

"Section Valientes."

The mentioned section came in, and Elijah's eyes met with Jace's... Not well, nope.

The two other students looked away as if they didn't notice anyone coming in from the door.

Jace sat next to Tyler who kept staring at the two talking students behind. Jace on the other hand just shot a glare.

Jace took out his phone.

talking about?

Elijah: None of your business.

Jace: You know Diana
has a boyfriend, no?

Elijah: And you know I'm gay, right?

Jace: Oh god! Just say it.

Elijah: Make me. You can't even
win against me.

Jace: Because... You either flirt
with me or effing seduce me!

Elijah: What?

Jace: Jace unsent a message.

Jace: Forget it.

Elijah: No, what did you just say?!

Jace: I said nothing.

Elijah: You are actually moved
by me, Aren't you?

Jace: Don't think about starting.

Elijah: Hmph! Fine, anyways,
San Vedra's 90th anniversary
will be celebrated tomorrow.
Will you come?

Jace: Still thinking.

Elijah: Please...

Jace: Go with your brothers.
I'm sure the squad won't be missing:
Even Tyler and Diana's group.

Elijah: But, at least come too-
If you don't I'll just not eat a meal the whole
day.

Jace: You stubborn cub!

Elijah: I am born stubborn.

Jace: Okay, I'll go.

Elijah: Yay!

Jace shook his head while dropping his phone. He listened to the professor who was talking about history. He waited till it was finally the end of class.

"Are you looking for those two? They're at the canteen."

"You're looking for Diana, are you?"

"I could say the same with you, but, with Elijah."

The two males shrugged. They went out of the classroom together looking for those two pairs of friends at the back.

-At the canteen-

"No, I'm bored. Should we try pranking them?" Diana pouts in boredom while she scrolled.

"Prank? Oh goodness, I won't be able to escape Jace if I did." Elijah shivers. From his imagination, it was not even it.

"It's just one..." Diana giggles: "Plus, we'll be in it together, Tyler will also kill me."

"Fine... any prank suggestions?"

"I have none in my he-"

Before Elijah could even speak, the lights of the canteen went off. Everyone heard a scream. It turns out, the whole campus lights went off.

The two stood shaking. Good thing they still have flashlights hung on their ID cards.

"Diana? Are you the- oh my!" Elijah murmured, and someone tapped his shoulder.

"Hey, it's me, damn it, I'm Diana!"

"Can you not scare the shit out of me?"

"Oop- I'm sorry... sorry..." Diana blinked, though, it can not be seen nor noticed.

Elijah pulled her out of the canteen. As they walked through the dark halls, they heard a scream.

"PLEASE!!! PLEASE NO!!! AAAAHHHH!!!"

They froze in horror. One of the (abandoned) classroom door was hung slightly open.

Elijah took a peek along with Diana. They were shocked to see a student begging for survival. But, she was covered in blood.

Dead.

Diana went pale, and so did Elijah. The two gasped once they made an eye contact with the killer. They ran as soon as they heard footsteps from behind.

A hand pulled them inside an empty classroom.

"What the fu-"

"Shhh!"
