Meeting: Xiao Empire, Saturday.

"We have to decide whom will you assign to be your right-hand, Mr. CEO." A board member stated formally and cleared his throat.

"This meeting has been going and going for a while now. I chose to assign Ms. Eliza Han for this position." Everyone started gossiping, discussing, and some were even ashamed.

A board member raised his concerns: "What did she ever do to deserve such a position? She was never a hardworking employee. And, isn't it enough that you assigned your daughter to be the next to handle Xiao Empire?"

A hand slammed across the table, everyone turned to the child of the CEO. Janeah Callista Jimenez Xiao, the eldest daughter.

"I'm sorry, but, no women should be shamed here, am I right?" She spoke in a firm tone. An awkward silence filled the room.

"Oh, Callista, dear, I thought you and Jace along with Kai hung out?" The CEO turned his head towards his daughter with a warm, welcoming smile.

Callista grinned: "Jace is currently with Kai. I'm sorry for the informal interruption, You forgot these when you left the house. I tried to reach out to you, but, I guess the meeting has already started." The female chuckled, carefully placing the files on his father's desk.

"Oh, seems like you'll be a great wife one day, Callista. Pretty nice job, how about ironing some clothes instead of interrupting?" A board member seem to speak out, forgetting his mic was on, but, didn't seem to care enough.

Callista's smile suddenly curved to a frown. "With all due respect, I do not plan to be a mere housewife. Ironing clothes isn't the only thing I can do."

"So..." The board member grunts standing up and getting closer to the girl.

"BORED MEMBER CHO!!" The CEO growled, rising to his feet.

Bored member Cho ignored the warning. "If I were to burn you right now then, using this match." He took out and lit a match stick. "Can you aim me?"

Callista's stare turned dark, her giggles turned into a deep chuckle: "Motherfucking fool." She took a gun out of nowhere and pointed it toward the head of the male. "Board member Cho, let me tell you something." Continued the CEO's daughter: "I, Janeah Callista Jimenez Xiao, am not born to, will not ever, bow and beg my life to a mere assaulter."

Mr. Cho's face went pale as a bond paper. He bowed his head in disbelief.

She arched her brow towards the so-called files she gave her father. "Mr. Cho has been... assaulting many of our female employees, bribing them to stay quiet. I came here to give those proofs to you given by your private investigator, dad. I hope you don't mind."

"Of course, dear..." CEO Xiao nodded. "I will take care of the rest, You can go." From the CEO's stern voice, satisfied, Callista lowered her hand along with the gun and said goodbye to his father.

All of the people sitting on their chairs in the meeting room, inhaled and exhaled shaking. They continued the meeting with Mr. Cho out of the way.

Meanwhile, Callista had just arrived at her house and came in with a victorious clap. She met his brother Kai who was playing video games in the living room. The younger seemed to notice her presence.

"What happened, jie? I guess, based on your expression, Your hell with Mr. Cho has ended today." Kai, the youngest spoke while blowing his gum and lowering his controller.

"Dad finally discovered it." Callista exercised her neck. She scanned the room just to find his other brother nowhere. "Jace... Where's he?"

"What?"

"I asked where's your gege, Jace."

Kai sat down and sighed; "He said he's at the training area. Maybe his anger issues attacked again? I don't know what's up with him, or maybe he's just jealous because Elijah's with someone else-?" The younger bit his tongue at the mention of his brother's secret crush.

"Elijah Wang? From our squad? Wait, why? Is there something Jace should be jealous of?" The older asked, not hearing the last part of his brother's sentence. Kai, who was alerted zipped his lips.

Callista crossed her arms, eyes portrayed confusion. "Daniel Kai Jimenez Xiao, who-"

"Ma'am Calli, the Zàijiàn squad is here to see you." The maid bowed with silence and left. Soon, many of the whole squad met her and her little brother.

The two stood up to greet the squad. Callista, especially, since she had her girl come over.

"Shijie, h-hello..." Kiara started hugging her girlfriend cutely.

"Hello, meimei." Callista giggled and hugged back.

Everything escalated quickly. Zàijiàn felt as though they were quickly invisible ghosts.

"Alright, okay okay!" Dominic groaned; "Have your sweet moment as soon as after you guys eat."

"Jace must've been learning self-control... He's not here." Elijah muttered under his breath. His brother flinched. It seemed that the older heard his brother mutter something, just not that clear.

"Did you say something, Elijah?" His brother Zack asked. Elijah shook his head and smiled. The squad parted in the house doing whatever they can. Mostly, cook what they've bought.

Footsteps were heard drawing closer to the squad who were in the living room of the house.

Elijah was exploring the grounds till he reached the training area. He saw no one there, he decided to go to the other secret room.

"I've been looking for you." The younger says in a low voice, entering the single training room.

"Elijah, since when were you here?" Jace questioned as he stopped his boxing.

"Just today." The younger smiles handing him a towel: "You should change, the whole squad's here."

Jace chuckled: "When I show you something I don't mean that you can enter without knocking."

Elijah's cheeks flushed a tint of pink: "S-Sorry, I didn't mean to come into you like this..."

Jace shook his head: "Just turn around, I'll change."

Elijah was embarrassed to the core. He cursed at himself for being not so careful. He'd forgotten that Jace is a lone-time person. He turned super red to the point that he looked like a ripe tomato.

"Let's go?"

"Oh, You're d-done?" Elijah hiccuped turning around.

Looks like he'll need a bucket full of ice today.

OMG, I finally republished this book! Oh Goodness, My characters are half-half. And, I needed to take some different names. Anyways, I unpublished this book to write more chapters and finish so wait no more.
