"Don't be fucking stupid, Taehyung-"

"Shut up, Mark! Morality is the least of my concerns, at the moment-" Taehyung growled, and Mark grabbed his arm roughly, pushing him away.

"You're drunk." Mark snapped, and Taehyung looked at him with darkened, watery eyes, faded silver hair falling on his eyes.

"And if I am? Do you expect me to keep pretending like- like I'm okay, Mark? You know- you know this is killing me-" Taehyung said, and Mark sighed, running his hand through his hair in frustration.

"Of course I do, Taehyung. But you aren't going to America-" Mark said, and Taehyung rushed back over to the laptop, because a tab for buying tickets to America had been open for more than three weeks now.

"Don't try and stop me, Mark. I'm going. I need- I need to at least try and find him," Taehyung let out, and Mark grabbed him roughly.

"Taehyung get some fucking sense in you! What're you going to tell him, huh? He thinks you're dead, Tae. It's been a whole year, he's gone now, you need to understand that." Mark said, and Taehyung shook his head, pushing Mark away.

"I-I'll talk t-to him- tell him I'm alive, he'll-"

"He'll ask you how you're alive. What're you going to say then, huh?" Mark said, eyebrows furrowing. "You're going to tell him the truth?"

"And what if I do? Will it be that bad??" Taehyung snapped, looking at him. "Will he hate me that much if he finds out that everything I did was for him? That I pretended to die just so he'd leave?!" Taehyung shouted, and Mark didn't look scared, just gave him a warned look.

Taehyung stopped, and clenched his hands, breathing heavily, taking in what he said. "Mark, I miss him so much-" Taehyung let out weakly, feeling salty tears trail down his cheek. "I-I want him so bad,"

"I know, I know you do. But you need to know wherever he is, he's better now. My sister told me that he's fine. Happy, even." Mark said, and moved forward, wrapping his arms around the boy who looked like he was going to pass out.

"And you know you can't leave, Tae. Dokeun won't let you." Makr said in a whisper, and Taehyung nodded, standing limp in Mark's hold. He knows he can't leave. Knows he can't go.

But the thought of Jungkook happy was more than enough.

"Y-you think he still loves me?"

"I know he does."

Jungkook stood there on a wooden walkway, eyes covered with Chris' hand. He could feel the bottom of Chris' palm pressing against his bruise which he covered with concealer.

"You ready to see your gift, Kookie?" Chris asked, and Jungkook nodded, and then Chris let his hand go.

Jungkook blinked his eyes lightly, and then saw a boat. Or no, a yacht. A huge yacht, in fact. It stood on the still water, white walls and brown boards on the inside. Jungkook saw beach chairs on the deck, and saw the length of it.

It was a luxury yacht.

"You like it?" Chris asked, and Jungkook nodded feebly, and then felt Chris' hands go to his waist. Jungkook saw the big brown cursive letters printed on the side of the boat. Princess. Jungkook felt Chris wrap his arms around his waist, and kiss the side of his neck.

Jungkook smiled a little, getting turned around. "Thank you." Jungkook said softly, and Chris gave him a small smile, kissing him on the lips. Jungkook gripped Chris' arms, kissing him back, and then waiting until Chris pulled away.

"It's for you, princess. You always said you wanted to live near the ocean, so I brought the ocean to you." Chris whispered, and Jungkook let out a smile, Chris holding him tightly.

"Thank you." Jungkook repeated softly, and Chris sighed. "Geez, darling. At least look a little enthusiastic, it cost a fortune."

"S-sorry- I love it, I really do." Jungkook said, voice timid. Jungkook saw Chris look away, looking disdained, and Jungkook gripped his hands. "I'm sorry, I-I promise- M'just not feeling well today."

"Been out for the past four days trying to buy this thing, Jungkook. Look-" Chris said, turning Jungkook around again.

"We're having our New Year's party there tomorrow night. You can dress all pretty, we'll have live music, nice food. Sound good?" Chris said, and Jungkook nodded, smiling.

"Yeah, sounds great."

"And we can be on this boat for our honeymoon. It'll be perfect, princess." Chris whispered, and Jungkook leaned back into his chest, wrapped in Chris' arms

"It will." Jungkook said, trying to sound more enthusiastic. Chris kissed him again, and then patted Jungkook's ass. "Now just wait here- I need to go in and see if everything's ready for tomorrow."

Jungkook nodded, letting him go up the stairs of the boat and go in. The small boy looked out, into the sea. The cold wind rushed past him, and he saw how the waves went up, riding with the wind.

Jungkook looked down, head cluttered with thoughts he had to keep suppressed. He looked to the side, above the port and on the road, and then saw a bike. Black bike, with a leather jacket and black jeans clad boy leaning against it, cigarette between his lips. He was wearing black aviators, and looking right at Jungkook.

Taehyung.

Jungkook gulped, looking back at him, a little confused. "What was he doing here?"

Taehyung took his aviators off, slinging it onto his shirt beneath his jacket, staring at Jungkook. Jungkook looked down, not knowing why he felt a warm flush forming on his cheeks upon Taehyung staring.

"C'mon baby, it's all done." Chris said, walking down the stairs and towards Jungkook. Jungkook snapped his attention to Chris, heart beat increasing. "Let's go," Chris said, and began walking towards the stairs. The stairs which led up to where Taehyung was near.

Jungkook looked at Chris warily, and Chris frowned. "Why're you just standing there, I said let's go-" Chris said, and Jungkook cowered back.

"L-let's just stay-"

"Speak up." Chris snapped, and Jungkook frowned, looking down.

Jungkook's breath hitched when Chris grabbed his arm roughly, dragging him along. "When I tell you something-"

Jungkook saw Taehyung on the bike again, about to drive off, and pulled his arm back, hoping Chris wouldn't see Taehyung. After everything he spilled to Chris-

"What's wrong with you?" Chris snapped, and Jungkook saw from the side that Taehyung drove off, and returned his attention to Chris.

Chris raised his hand, and Jungkook- for a split second- thought Chris was going to hit him, so he flinched and moved back. But Chris just grabbed his arm and pushed him along.

He got dragged until the parking lot and pushed into the car, where he sat very still while Chris drove home, silence between them. They reached home, and right when they stepped into the warmth, Chris took Jungkook's jacket off.

Chris pulled Jungkook's shirt up, and Jungkook just stood there quietly, letting Chris do whatever he wanted. Chris kept going until Jungkook was in his panties, and then pushed Jungkook along.

"Clean the bedroom, it's a mess." Chris said, and Jungkook nodded, and began walking mechanically towards their bedroom to clean it up.

"I mean what did you expect him to do- run away from Chris and into your arms? God, you're a dumbass."

"Shut up, Noah." Taehyung grumbled, downing another glass of some thick bitter coffee which went down his throat like melted butter.

Taehyung's coffee shop cashier friend, Noah, (also one of his only friends here) snickered, sipping at his own coffee. "Then why'd you go?"

"I was on one of my bike rides and decided to go near the sea and saw Jungkook standing there on the port all alone in front of a huge ass yacht. It had 'princess' written on it so I'm guessing Chris bought it for him or whatever." Taehyung mumbled.

"Imagine faking your death for someone so they can be happy just for them to end up with some lowkey abusive sugar daddy. Can't relate." Noah said, and Taehyung glared at him.

"Shut up. As far as I know, Chris has never hit him, and apparently makes Jungkook very happy. So good for him, right? Jeez- is this how me being 26 is going to start?" Taehyung grumbled to himself, downing the coffee.

"Better settle down with someone fast, Tae. You're almost 30." Noah said.

"What's the point? I'll compare everything to Jungkook," Taehyung said, and Noah hummed.

"Did you compare me to Jungkook?"

Taehyung looked up at him. "Why do you think we broke up?"

"Ouch." Noah said, and then leaned down and took out a bottle of whiskey lying under the counter. "I thought we broke up because you didn't like white people."

"That too." Taehyung joked, and Noah hit him on the head, shutting him up with a snicker. "Nah, I'm kidding, Noah. You were great. I mean, you deserve someone way better than me."

Noah hummed, smiling a little. "That I do, Mr. Kim. No offence but being with a guy who's killed like 30 people doesn't sound too ideal for me."

"At least you didn't run and tell the police." Taehyung said, and Noah poured whiskey into their glasses which earlier contained coffee. "Nah. With a dick so big they wouldn't have let you go to jail anyway."

"Ew." Taehyung mumbled, and then downed the glass of whiskey. He palmed his face for a little, his head hurting.

"You okay?"

"Am I ever?"

"Nope." Noah said, and downed his glass as well. "This is kind of sad, y'know. Today's your birthday. Tomorrow's New Years." Noah said, and Taehyung hummed.

"You're gonna be with your family tomorrow so I'll be alone. Fun." Taehyung sighed.

"Why don't you go hang out with that pink haired guy you met up with some time back?" Noah asked.

"Wouldn't wanna bother them." Taehyung said, hoping Jimin and Yoongi were having their own happy little new years.

"Jeez, you're so down right now, it's ruining my vibe. C'mon, let's go upstairs." Noah said, grabbing Taehyung's arm.

Taehyung stood up, letting Noah drag him upstairs. "You don't care about my health you only want me to fuck you."

"True. But you're still going to do it, and then we'll both be happier. So shut up and let me ride you." Noah snapped jokingly, and Taehyung sighed.

"Fine. But only 'cause it's my birthday." Taehyung said with a small grin, and Noah laughed- and then grabbed him close and began kissing him.

"Two hours till New Year's, Jungkook. Lighten up, will you?" Chris laughed, clearly a little drunk as he gripped onto Jungkook's shirt tightly.

Jungkook felt uncomfortable, dressed in tight pants and a sheer blouse, feeling cold. He had on the big diamond necklace Chris had given him for Christmas. Loud music played from one side of the boat while people all older than Jungkook drank and talked and laughed.

Jungkook tried talking to some people, but felt no words coming out, no feeling of excitement or happiness like he usually does on these kind of days. He felt dull, just walking around, making sure to look pretty like a porcelain doll, and dumb, like expected of a housewife from the 50's.

The party had gone on like that, more people walking onto the boat and raving about how beautiful it was. Jungkook stood shyly on the side, until Chris called for him.

Jungkook walked over to the older, who was standing among a group of men who all looked kind of drunk. "Jungkook, say hi to m'friends." Chris slurred a little, and Jungkook just smiled politely, seeing how they all gave him curt nods.

"Quite young." One commented, and Chris snickered. "Eh, y'know what they say."

"The younger the tighter." One slurred, and the group emerged into laughter.

Jungkook's cheeks reddened, and he gulped, eyebrows furrowing. Chris' hand was on his ass now, and he tried moving away, but Chris pulled him closer.

"C-Chris-" Jungkook tried saying, but Chris slapped his ass in front of everyone, some of the men snickering at that, Jungkook only blushing and dropping his head.

The men continued talking, and Jungkook stopped trying to budge, just hoping Chris would loosen his grip on him and let him go. That didn't happen, until he felt a hand grab his and pull him away.

"Kookie," A voice said, and Jungkook sighed in relief when he saw Holiday. "H-Holly- hi." Jungkook said, and Holiday smiled.

"Let's go out for a little, it's stuffy in here." Holiday said, but Jungkook knew that she saw what was going on and was helping Jungkook out.

Jungkook gave her a thankful smile and followed her out the boat, and onto the wooden deck. Once they were out, Holiday grabbed his arm tighter and pulled him to the side.

"Jungkook," Holiday said, and Jungkook saw her look a little nervous. "Your- um- the concealer on your face is wearing off a little."

Jungkook's eyes widened, and he placed his fingers on his cheek in an attempt to hide anything. "O-oh- um-" Jungkook started, and then gulped. "I fell down l-last week- got a bruise on m-my face. That's all." Jungkook said quickly, and Holiday sighed, and then let out a smile, deemed as sad by Jungkook.

"I know he's not a good guy, Jungkook. I don't know why you stay with him." Holiday whispered, and Jungkook shook his head.

"Holiday, don't. I'm fine, I promise." Jungkook whispered back, and Holiday sighed heavily, pressing her lips together.

"I know you're strong, Jungkookie. I also.. um.. got a call from someone who wanted to meet you. You remember Victor?"

Jungkook's eyes widened, and he looked to the side and saw Taehyung in his usual leather jacket and black jeans, leaning against his motorcycle again.

Jungkook's breath hitched, and then without thinking, walked over to Taehyung.

"I'll go!" Holiday called out, and Jungkook didn't respond, just walked closer to Taehyung.

"W-what're you doing here?" Jungkook asked, and Taehyung looked at him with his dark eyes, letting out a soft smile.

"Happy New year."

"It's still 2 hours away." Jungkook said. "What're you doing here?"

"I came to see you, Kookie." Taehyung whispered, and then leaned forward, brushing his thumb on Jungkook's cheekbone. "You look cold."

"You don't have to come see me, Tae. I'm fine." Jungkook whispered, and then Taehyung looked at his cheek for a second.

Jungkook gulped when he felt Taehyung's grip on him tighten, eyes grow dark.

"I-I fell."

Taehyung looked at him. "When did he do this?"

Jungkook pulled Taehyung's hand off him. "I fell, Taehyung. I-I hurt my cheek- t-tripped down the stairs-"

Taehyung stood up straight, and looked at Jungkook's bruise on his cheek. Taehyung's breathing got a little heavier, vein popping from his neck. "When did he hit you, Jungkook?"

Jungkook paused, looking at Taehyung. "The day I left you and went home." Jungkook whispered, and Taehyung gripped Jungkook's shirt tightly, looking over at the ship.

"I-It's not his fault. I upset him." Jungkook said, and Taehyung let out a deep chuckle.

"I just wish you would've told me sooner, Kookie." Taehyung rasped, and Jungkook's eyes widened when Taehyung pushed past him.

"Tae!" Jungkook called out, because he sensed it. Sensed the anger in Taehyung, the same anger he'd seen when Taehyung killed all those men who hurt Jungkook.

"T-Tae please- listen- not now. Not here." Jungkook said, grabbed Taehyung's arm.

Taehyung turned around sharply, looking at Jungkook. "He could've done anything, Jungkook. Anything but hurt you." Taehyung said in his deep voice, and then stepped closer.

"And if there's one thing I swear by- it's that no one can hurt you and get away with it." Taehyung growled, and then gripped Jungkook's waist. "No one."

Jungkook inhaled sharply, wanting to tell Taehyung to stop. To not hurt him. To not do or say anything.

But he didn't.

Taehyung left his hold on him and walked up the stairs and into the main area of the yacht. Jungkook rushed behind him, and then widened his eyes, seeing confused eyes look at Taehyung, who cracked his knuckles.

Taehyung spotted Chris talking to some woman, and before thinking twice, grabbed him by the collar and punched him right in the face.

"Tae!" Jungkook snapped, eyes growing big, seeing Chris stumble back against the wall.

"You don't hurt him." Taehyung shouted, and then grabbed him again and punched him in the stomach. "You don't fucking hurt him-" Taehyung continued, punching him again. "You sick son of a bitch- he deserves so much better than you." Taehyung spat, and then felt someone pull him off.

"Victor!" Holiday snapped, and Taehyung pulled away from her.

Chris dropped to the floor, blood flowing from his lip. Jungkook walked into the whole mess, and Holiday gulped at Jungkook.

"Chris will be fine, Jungkook. I called the police-" Holiday started, but then Jungkook grabbed Taehyung's arm.

"Run!" Jungkook snapped, and then dragged Taehyung out the boat. Taehyung ran as well, both fleeing from the party.

Taehyung now grabbed Jungkook and both got closer to his bike. Taehyung jumped on, and Jungkook stilled.

"Jungkook-" Taehyung started, revving up the bike. Jungkook gulped.

"M-maybe I should go back," Jungkook let out weakly, and Taehyung grabbed his hand.

"Wherever you go, you don't go back. Not to him."

Jungkook stood there for a few seconds, looking back at the boat, and then back at Taehyung. "Okay." Jungkook stated, and then jumped onto the bike, behind Taehyung, gripping onto this jacket.

Taehyung started driving, and saw police cars coming from one end of the road. "Aw shit-" Taehyung cursed, turning the bike around, making it go faster.

Jungkook turned around to see one of the police cars stop by the port, but two of them follow Taehyung and Jungkook.

Taehyung started driving, and then saw the police cars get closer. So he turned the bike abruptly and started driving right at the police cars.

"Tae-" Jungkook let out, eyes widening when he saw Taehyung driving towards the cars, which slowed down in confusion. "Tae!" Jungkook screamed-

Taehyung swerved the bike so fast, right through the center of both the cars. Both cars tried to shoot at them, but Taehyung fastened and started driving really fast.

The cars tried turning around clumsily, and Taehyung laughed out in the adrenaline, driving the bike into one of the lanes.

"Where to?" Jungkook asked.

"Yoongi and Jimin's," Taehyung said, and Jungkook gripped onto his jacket. Taehyung turned a little to check if Jungkook was okay.

"Stop looking at me, and go faster." Jungkook snapped, and Taehyung smirked, turning back to face ahead.

"As you say, dollie." Taehyung whispered, leaning forward, and Jungkook just smiled as well, leaning forward with him and wrapping his arms around Taehyung's waist.

And they kept driving in high speed, past cars and through the grey roads. Until they heard the sirens fade off in the distance, and both their joyous laughter fill the air.
