"One hour till the next year," Jungkook said, and Taehyung abruptly stopped the bike, making Jungkook squeak out in surprise and grip Taehyung tighter.

"Shit, time really flies." Taehyung snickered, and Jungkook looked up and saw a little flower shop, closed. It had a little board on the outside which said we are closed! happy holidays <3

The shop was called Honeycup and had pretty flowers outside which were watered and all nice. "Their apartment is right above," Taehyung explained, parking the bike beside the shop.

Both climbed off, and then walked to the side and saw some stairs leading up. Jungkook followed Taehyung up the stairs, and Taehyung rang on the bell.

"Ugh Yoongi- I told you not to order from that Indian place-" Jimin's faint voice snapped from inside.

"Baby I didn't-" Yoongi's voice retorted.

"Then who is it?"

"Fuck do I know?"

Jungkook and Taehyung giggled to each other, and then they heard some more incoherent mumbling and the door open. "-fucking holidays and we can't even- oh my god!" Jimin let out when he saw the two, a big smile reaching his face.

"Tae! Kookie!" Jimin squealed, and Jungkook reached forward, hugging him tightly. Yoongi walked to see who it was, and then his eyes widened when he saw the two. He also walked up to Jungkook, hugging him tightly from the side.

"Oh wow- hey guys! What're you doing here?" Jimin asked after pulling away, giving Taehyung a quick hug too.

"It's a long story-" Taehyung started, but then Jungkook stomped his foot and hit Yoongi on the chest.

"Why didn't you tell me Taehyung was alive?" Jungkook snapped, eyebrows furrowing in anger, nose scrunching up, which was nothing but absolutely adorable to Yoongi.

"Taehyung told us not to tell you, pet." Yoongi said softly, and Jungkook huffed, looking at Taehyung angrily now.

Taehyung moved forward, letting his hand pat the small of Jungkook's back. "I'm sorry, Kookie. But you know I had many reasons to do so, right?" Taehyung said softly, and Jungkook hummed. "I guess."

"So.. anyways, what're you two doing here?" Jimin asked.

"We came to see you guys. Also, figured you two might as well tell Jungkook." Taehyung said, and Jungkook's eyes grew big.

"Tell me what?" Jungkook asked, and Jimin suddenly gasped.

"We have cake!" Jimin declared, and then ran from his small living room into the kitchen. Jungkook turned to see Taehyung.

"You brought me here to have them tell me they have cake?" Jungkook asked, and Taehyung rolled his eyes.

"No, dumbellina. But let's have Jimin's cake!" Taehyung grinned, and Yoongi scowled, giving him a slight glare. "That's my job, Taehyung." Yoongi winked, and Jungkook grimaced.

"Well- I'm actually glad you two came over. Yoongi and I went to a neighbour's new years party- but it was so loud and full of annoying people- so we left! Were gonna spend new years with each other alone- but I'm glad you guys are here." Jimin said with a big grin, placing a big chocolate cake on a table.

"How come you two are hanging out?" Yoongi asked, and Jimin looked at Jungkook. "Yeah.. How's your CEO boyfriend, Kookie?"

Taehyung let out a snicker. "Jungkook's not-"

"He's fine." Jungkook said quickly, cutting Taehyung off, making the older boy glance at him in confusion. "He's with some friends so I wanted to come visit."

"That's good! You should've have visited us earlier, Kookie! We think of you lots." Jimin said, and they all sat down on the couch in front of a smallish tv, Jimin giving forks to each of them.

Yoongi started playing some music, and the dim yellow lights shone while loud joyous screams came from outside, from other parties. Bottles of wine poured out, each with a glass. Conversation started and soon enough, all were laughing over nothing and everything.

"I heard some people escaped from that prison in Seoul," Jimin said, and Jungkook nodded, head perking up.

"Me too! I.. um.. was wondering if-"

"Don't get your hopes up, Kook." Yoongi said rather bluntly, taking a sip of his wine. "Namjoon's not out. I would know if he was out," Yoongi said, and Jungkook nodded quickly, shoulders falling a little.

"I-I know.. I just hope he's okay." Jungkook said softly, and there was a small silence, one for remembrance, regret, retrospect.

"Twenty minutes till the next year," Jimin said with a hopeful smile, leaning his head on Yoongi's shoulder. Jungkook looked at Taehyung, and Taehyung saw conflict in his eyes.

Taehyung took Jungkook's hand, squeezing it lightly. "Don't worry." He whispered, and Jungkook looked at him and tilted his head a little.

"You think he's okay?" Jungkook asked him, and Taehyung let his hand linger on Jungkook's.

"I'm sure Namjoon's fine, Kook-"

"No, I mean Chris." Jungkook said, and Taehyung paused. "H-he could be in the hospital." Jungkook said, looking ahead, a little stressed.

Taehyung took his hand back, gulping a little and looking ahead as well. "He'll be fine."

Taehyung said, and Jimin looked at him with a knowing look in his eyes.

Suddenly, there were loud knocks on the front door. Everyone froze.

"Who could it be-?" Jungkook asked, and Jimin stood up, confused as well.

Loud knocks continued, turning harder, faster. Jungkook gulped, 20 minutes till midnight, who the hell could be at their door? Jungkook watched as Yoongi walked up to the door, and Jimin reached his hand under the couch and took out a handgun.

Taehyung stood up as well, and Jungkook stayed seated, the three blocking his view of the door. Yoongi looked in through the eyehole of the door, didn't see much, and opened the door very slowly.

Once he did, he flung it right open.

"You guys take fucking ages to open a door, jeez."

Jungkook's eyes widened.

He shot up from the sofa seat, scrambling straight to the door. There stood a black haired boy with sun kissed skin he hadn't seen in far too long, with warm eyes reminding him of home.

"J-Jin?" Jungkook let out, and Jin got a look of surprise and awe on his face.

"Jungkookie," Jin said, a big smile on his face. He was stood by the doorway, hooded with a big coat. Jungkook ran up to him, jumping right on him- arms wrapping around his neck. Jin stumbled back a little, laughing.

"God Kookie- you're an adult now, look at you." Jin said with a fond smile, hugging him back equally tight. Jungkook hugged him tighter, hiding his face in the nook of his neck to not cry.

"Wait- Jin, what the fuck are you doing here? Where the fuck have you been??" Yoongi snapped, and Jin looked at them, Jungkook still hugging him tightly.

"I've-" Jin started, and then sighed, patting Jungkook's back. "Kookie, let me breathe for a little, yeah?"

Jungkook pulled back, eyes tearing up a little. "S-sorry." Jungkook squeaked, and Taehyung placed a reassuring hand on his back, and Jungkook leaned into his touch, moving back.

"It's okay, bunny." Jin said, and Jungkook smiled at that, letting out a teary giggle. Jin's eyes trailed to Taehyung, and he instantly frowned.

"You!" Jin snapped, and Taehyung gulped.

"Okay- listen-"

"You fucking- what the hell are you doing here? Don't tell me you two are still together after what you did to him-" Jin snapped, and Taehyung put his hands up in defence.

"He didn't do anything to me, Jin," Jungkook said, and Jin scoffed. "Not you. Namjoon."

"Jin, it was 2 years ago- I-I was in a bad place-" Taehyung tried, but Jin walked closer.

"A bad place?? You're the reason he-" Jin started, and Taehyung glared at him.

"Nothing- just- shut up, Jin. Answer Yoongi's question. What're you doing here?" Taehyung stammered, and Jungkook turned to look at Yoongi, and while he did- Taehyung mouthed to Jin not in front of him.

Jin gave him a glare and then turned to face Yoongi, who looked equally angry. "You've got some explaining to do, Kim." Yoongi snapped, and then Jin looked around, and grinned.

"At least pour me a glass, first." Jin smirked, and Yoongi rolled his eyes.

Few minutes later, they were all sat on the couch, tv playing some Kdrama on mute, Jin downing his glass of wine. "Right- okay, here it goes." Jin said, placing the glass down.

"I went to Iceland." Jin said, and Jimin frowned.

"What's in Iceland?"

"Good living standards?? Europe was the best choice, I don't know why all of you chose to come here." Jin scoffed.

"Hey, in my defence, I didn't have a choice."

Jungkook said in a small voice, and Jin pet his hair lightly.

"Anyways- I went to Iceland after you guys left to America." Jin said, gesturing to Yoongi and Jimin. "Stayed there for a year. It was cool there, kinda cold. But I really.. I don't know, I missed how things were. So I went back to Busan." Jin explained, and then sighed. "But.. none of you were there. Namjoon.. I-I'd left him.. didn't even know if I wanted to see him, really."

"This was last year?" Jungkook asked, and Jin nodded. "Then Taehyung was there too, right?"

"Yeah. Taehyung was there. My only friend," Jin grumbled, and Taehyung cleared his throat, telling Jin to move on.

"Anyways. Taehyung fucked off to who knows where. My only friend was that fucking thai kid from your mafia." Jin said, looking at Taehyung, who snickered. "Bambam. How is that guy?"

"Opened a cat cafe." Jin said, and Taehyung laughed. "Right- so.. I did some stuff while I was in Korea, alone. And then, I decided to come here to tell you guys."

"Tell us what?" Yoongi asked.

"Tell you that you're all coming back to Korea with me." Jin said, and Jungkook frowned. "W-we are?"

"Yeah, for two reasons. One- I know you all hate here. And two- Namjoon's free. And he needs all of us to be there instantly." Jin said, voice a little quieter.

Jungkook gasped. "Namjoonie's out?!?!?!?!" Jungkook said in amazement, and then turned to Taehyung with big eyes. "Namjoonie's out!!!" Jungkook squealed, and Jin hummed.

"Nice to know who your favorite was." Jin snapped jokingly, and Jungkook looked at him with pursed lips.

"Please, Jin. You know damn well Namjoon wasn't my favorite. But I just.. left him badly.. made him think bad things. He even sent a letter to me, a-and-.... wait-" Jungkook started, looking a little confused with himself, but then Taehyung cleared his throat.

"So- Jin, how long are you here?" Taehyung said quickly, changing the conversation.

"A week." Jin said. "Mark's booked you all flight tickets. We're going home!" Jin rejoiced, and Jimin and Yoongi looked at each other, and then Jimin let out the fattest "Thank god."

"I hate running a fucking flower shop. I mean me, a flower shop?!?? I had to deal with 14 year old girls and fucking 60 year old women. I don't know how to deal with that shit- wish we had a gun shop-" Yoongi grumbled, and Jimin elbowed him lightly.

"That's.. great, Jin. Really is. But.. I can't go with you guys." Jungkook said sadly, looking down. "You guys go ahead though.."

"What? No, Kookie, you're coming. It's a surprise for Namjoon, he doesn't know you're coming, and he'll be overjoyed to see you there." Jin said, and Taehyung turned to face Jungkook.

Jungkook looked at Taehyung helplessly. "But Chris.."

Taehyung's eyebrows furrowed sternly, and Jin frowned. "Who the fuck is Chris?"

"Jungkook's boyfriend." Jimin said.

"Boyfriend?" Jin asked.

"Fiancee." Yoongi corrected, and Jin snapped his head to Jungkook, growing more cautious by the second.

"He's half korean." Jimin continued, and Jungkook gulped, seeing Jin look a little angered. "A CEO. Very rich."

"Rich?" Jin asked, and Taehyung cleared his throat.

"He's also 40 years old." Taehyung said, and Jungkook sighed while Jin stood up.

"40 years old?!?!" Jin started, and Jungkook blushed, hitting Taehyung lightly.

"H-he's- he was nice when I met him, okay?? And I-I don't know- is it my fault I was constantly surrounded with men older than me and had immense daddy issues and inevitably seek for men who are more matured and older?" Jungkook squeaked, and Taehyung rubbed his arm.

"No. But they should be good men at least, Kooks." Taehyung said softly, and Jungkook pouted a little.

Jin was frozen in shock. ".....40?!!!" Jin shouted, and Jimin stood up.

"7 minutes till midnight! I'm gonna go get some food from the fridge in the shop. Yoongi, Jin, come with me?" Jin said, and Yoongi gave Jin a look, and Jin hummed and nodded.

Jin gave Jungkook a look telling him we'll talk later, and then the three put on their coats and walked out of the house, promising they'd be back soon.

"Let's go to the balcony, it's nice." Taehyung said, and Jungkook got up with him, walking to the balcony. Jungkook whimpered.

"I-it's cold, Taehyungie." Jungkook squeaked, and Taehyung rolled his eyes fondly, and took his leather jacket off. He handed it to Jungkook.

"Just say you want my jacket and go." Taehyung said, and Jungkook giggle, putting his jacket on. Both walked outside, and were instantly hit by the freezing air.

Jungkook latched onto Taehyung. "You're gonna get sick."

"No I won't." Taehyung responded, and Jungkook gripped onto his cold hands. "Y-yes you will! I'll have to nurse you like I did that one time." Jungkook said, and saw a smirk grow on Taehyung's face.

"Oh really- then lemme take my shirt off too-"

"Stop~" Jungkook giggled, hitting his arm. Taehyung sat down on the little swinging seat on the balcony, and pulled Jungkook onto his lap, wrapping his arms around him.

"C-cold." Jungkook repeated, gripping onto Taehyung's shirt. Taehyung smiled softly.

"Cute. You're so- so cute. So pretty. I-I love- love that about you." Taehyung said the last part quickly, and Jungkook blushed, and then took Taehyung's hand.

Jungkook looked down for a few seconds. "I'll go back and see him tomorrow."

"No you won't," Taehyung snapped, and Jungkook hesitated. "Tae.. he's still my fiancee-"

"He doesn't have to be. Don't force yourself. He's not a nice guy, Kookie. Whatever love he gave you, you deserve so, so much more than that." Taehyung said, and Jungkook sniffled.

"B-but he took care of me.. and-and- he l-loved me too, right?" Jungkook said, eyes twinkling, latching onto something.. something which was slipping away. Jungkook didn't know to hold onto it or not.

"If he loved you he wouldn't have hurt you." Taehyung whispered, and Jungkook felt his heart drop in his stomach, gulping in a lump that had been hard to swallow.

His eyes filled with tears. He looked down, some tears falling from his eyes. "W-why- why did he hit me?" Jungkook let out, and Taehyung looked up at him, worry filling his senses.

"Why d-did he- h-hit me twice," Jungkook cried pathetically, wiping his tears quickly, and Taehyung just hugged him tighter, placing his forehead against his chest.

"I wish- I-I wish I could- r-reverse time or something, y-you know? Before everything. Those days when i-it was just you and me in my old apartment.. eating cheap ramen. You i-in my sweaters and m-me in your love. Drowning." Taehyung whispered, and Jungkook felt more tears leave his eyes.

"Wish I-I could- stop time then. Live there forever. No w-worries- just- just you and me. Alone. W-when all I could think of was you- and you and you and nothing else. And you thought of me, and no one else. And no one could reach to us in my tiny little bedroom, cooped up on that god awful air mattress, giggling after drinking cheap rum." Taehyung said in the end, tears filling his own eyes for reason unknown.

"T-Tae.." Jungkook let out softly, and Taehyung looked up at him.

"I w-wish it was just you and me, Jungkookie. You and me against the whole wide world. We lost, didn't we? They took us- t-the universe was wrong after all." Taehyung chuckled sadly, and Jungkook shook his head.

"No- n-no it isn't- the universe doesn't know anything. The universe assumes and destroys- we were just in the wrong universe, Taehyungie. W-we needed to be in the universe that creates, a-and that loves. We were just in the wrong universe, at the wrong place, at the wrong time." Jungkook said, regret heavy in his voice.

"Kookie?" Taehyung said softly, and Jungkook hummed.

"Leave him. Please. For yourself." Taehyung whispered, and Jungkook gulped.

"Tae.." Jungkook trailed, looking away, but Taehyung lifted his chin softly and pulled it back. "Look at me-" Taehyung said, and Jungkook did.

"You're so, so so fucking beautiful, Jungkook. Someone like you- you're art. You're magnificent. You're the p-part of the universe that creates and loves. And someone- that would just.. ruin it like that? Hurt you? A-and not want to kill themselves after? That's destruction- that's not what you deserve." Taehyung whispered.

Jungkook let out a small smile. "I-I'm art?" Jungkook squeaked, and Taehyung nodded.

"Beautiful, glorious, divine art." Taehyung replied with a smile, and Jungkook gulped.

"Then tell me. What do I deserve, Tae? Who do I deserve?" Jungkook asked in a small voice, and Taehyung looked at him with a dazzle in his eyes, an impulse, a fear.

Taehyung let his eyes speak for him, and Jungkook looked at them and saw far too much, and then saw Taehyung lean in.

"Someone who loves you more than anything." Taehyung whispered, and then reached up and pressed their lips together.

Fireworks went off in the distance, along with cheering and lots of vigorous shouts of mirth. "Happy New Year's!" Voices yelled from far away.

Jungkook just found himself cupping Taehyung's jaw, kissing him back, Taehyung's hands reaching around his waist just like he used to do. Just how Jungkook liked. Just how it was meant to be.
