Chapter 6| Craig
"Very uncomfortable for the Dormouse,' thought Alice; 'only, as it's asleep, I suppose it doesn't mind.'" Ana turned the page, smiled at me and continued, her voice full of expression and lack of any stutters. "The table was a large one, but the three were all crowded together at one corner of it: 'No room! No room!' they cried out when they saw Alice comin-"
Ana closes the book sharply, looking up. Confused, I glance at her. We've been meeting in this exact place for almost a week now. It's kept my dad happy, and it's kept Ana's mother off of her back, so I'm fine with it.
Currently, she has been reading Alice's Adventures In WonderLand with me, and it makes me see a huge difference in Ana. When she reads, she isn't stuttering, she isn't anxious. She's fully involved with the book she has, and is fully dedicated to keep character. She even does separate voices for each character, attempting a British accent for Alice.
"What's wrong Ana?" I ask, looking at her confused.
"I h-heard something." She says, her voice quiet. Her leg keeps shaking, and I place a friendly hand on her knee in an attempt to calm her. Ana's cheeks flush, and I remove my hand quickly. I glance out to where she is looking, but see nothing but the trees and bushes.
"It may have been your imagination." I tell her, shrugging. Ana takes a deep breath, pushes her glasses up her nose and looks back down at her book.
"I-I.. Um.. I-I lost my p-place.." She admits sheepishly. I open my mouth to speak to her, until I feel hands slam down into my shoulders.
I jump, and freeze. The hands may have slammed onto my shoulders, but they aren't gripping them. The touch is gentle and soft, and the strong scent of apple and coffee fills my nostrils.
"I believe the line is 'There's PLENTY of room!'" Tweek says, his fingertips brushing my neck as he leans forward to face Ana. "Yep, that's defiantly it. I've been in two performances of that exact book you're reading, once as the Hatter, and again as Alice. And can I just say, your Alice voice is truly dreadful."
Tweek then removed his hands from my shoulders, walks around to the front of the bench and squeezes in between Ana and I. He practically sits on my lap as he faces her and offers her his hand. He has his other hand on my thigh, supporting himself as he leans into me slightly.
"Tweek Tweak, and yes my first name and last name are the same, you are?" I tap my foot impatiently, being slightly amused and slightly annoyed by Tweek's actions. Tweek clearly notices me rapping my foot, as he's practically sat on my leg, and hits my leg lightly.
Most people don't see the jealous side of Tweek, but I do. It's sometimes a great experience, other times, not so much.
"I-I'm Tatiana M-Mitchell. B-but please, call m-me Ana." Ana smiles shyly, fiddling with the ladder on her tights. By doing this she makes it worse, but she doesn't seem to mind. She hesitantly removes her hand from the hole in her tights, and takes Tweek's. Her eyes meet his, and I see they're shining with anxiety.
She's clearly worried about what Tweek thinks of her. She's also shaking (I'm not sure if it's from the cold or the introduction of someone new).
They keep their hands clasped together for a few long seconds, and Tweek slides off of my leg and into the space left on the bench. I manage to see his face, and his eyes are soft and gentle as he looks at the blonde girl.
"I h-hope you d-don't mind me asking, b-but how did y-you manage to play Alice?" Ana asks, her voice quiet. Tweek then realises their hands are still together, and he takes his hand away. Ana seems offended, and looks at her hands.
"With much difficulty." Tweek then says to her, causing her to look up. Her eyes shine once more, but the anxiety has disappeared with curiosity.
"D-do you m-mind explaining?"
"I love acting. Ask anyone who knows me, I have a real passion for it. Playing a character, playing someone that isn't yourself is refreshing." Tweek then begins to explain how he had previously preformed as the Hatter with his theatre group, and wanted to try something a little more challenging.
I smile to myself, the memory of helping Tweek dress as Alice for the first name now fresh in my mind. It was a few months into our relationship, and it was very awkward and we were both red faced by the end.
"D-did your p-parents not j-judge you?" Ana asks. "My m-mother would never l-let me play as a-a m-male, she'd say i-it would drive boys a-away. Did you h-have that problem?"
Tweek probably didn't realise what he was found when he reached out and touched my hand. It was most likely a reflex now. Ana couldn't see our hands, so I didn't mind Tweek's touch at all.
"I'm so lucky when my parents are concerned. My mum fully supported me dressing up, and even helped me to act more like a female than a boy portraying one." Tweek explained, smiling. "My dad found it funny. He saw me in the dress and couldn't stop laughing. They came to see the play, and my dad claims he clapped the loudest. He also isn't scared to tell
people of my performance as Alice, and brags whenever it's brought up."
Ana looks upon Tweek in awe, and begins talking about what her parents would do. I watch as the two talk amongst theirselves, and look down at Tweek and I's intwined hands. I smile and caress his hand with my thumb.

"Bye Ana." I tell her as she gathers up her things and rushes towards her mums silver car. She disappears inside, and Tweek waits for the car to leave before turning to me.
He grabs my hands, brings them up to his lips and kisses them.
"I'm so sorry Craig! I don't know what I was thinking, I just got really, really jealous! It's just that.. You had seen her more than you had been seeing me, and I know that it stops your dad from hurting you, and I know that my acts were extremely selfish and that I only thought of myself." Tweek holds my hands tightly, shaking as he spills out all of the words. He doesn't think before saying anything, and they just pour out of his mouth in a slightly jumbled mess.
"Then my mind went crazy, and I kept imagining you and this girl kissing. The image just kept flashing up in my mind, and then I began to think even more irrationally. I thought that you might.. Leave me for her. I know it-" I since Tweek by removing my hand from his, and pressing a finger to his soft lips.
"Tweek, I'm gay as fuck." I then hook my fingers into the loops in his jeans, pulling him against me as I press my lips to his. The kiss is soft and sweet, and a reminder that I love him. When we pull apart, I rest our forwards together.
"I guess I forgot that." Tweek admits sheepishly, I smile, and kiss him once more.

It made me laugh when people thought Craig would fall for Ana.
