The night gave perfect cover for her to enter the army's camp. She had a particular redhead on her mind to mess with next. Despite him taking a lot of damage from her magic attacks, nothing on the physical spectrum could touch him. The witch quietly entered the redhead's tent and began to chant something
"Anata no karada o watashi no o tanjōbi ni shimashou..." She chanted, letting her spell take it's hold on him. His body cut it's height in half, with his hands becoming more nub like. A string came out of his back while all the while his body lost feeling so that no pain could be felt. Soon, the transformation was complete, giving her time to escape into the night, leaving his doll body in the camp.
"This is odd..." Forsyth told himself.
"What's odd? The fact you aren't already training?" Python asked.
"Shut up for a minute. It's just Lukas isn't up yet and he's the first one up usually..."
"Maybe he overslept or something. Let's go wake him up and get him some grub from the inn." The two headed over to the redheaded lancer's tent.
"You up buddy?" Python called. There was no response.
"So... I guess we do have to go in there...." Forsyth replied.
"I'll go in first..." Python sighed as he opened the tent, only to find a ragdoll.
"I didn't know he was obsessed with himself..." Python joked.
"No. He isn't. And I know for sure that he doesn't sleep with a doll... This only means one thing.."
"Lukas wants an off day?" Python asked.
"No! He's one of the most hardworking people I've ever met. This doll is him..."
"No shit Sherlock, it looks exactly like him!"
"Fuck off Watson. I meant that someone must've entered his tent last night and turned him into a doll."
"How would we explain to Alm and Clive this!?"
"We just be honest with them... They should understand..."
"Understand what?" Those were the two voices they didn't want to hear. Alm and Clive's
"Nothing sir!" The archer and lancer said, trying to hide the doll.
"Wait... Is that a doll of Lukas behind your back Python?" Alm asked.
"No...." Python replied.
"Be honest." The two commanders said.
"Look, this might seem crazy but, we think that someone and or something turned Lukas into this doll. We're not sure but it's the best thing we have at this moment." Forsyth explained.
"That doesn't seem too out of line..." Alm said. "Prince Berkut went missing yesterday and all they could find was a doll in his image.... These cases have to be connected in some case.
"So what we do about Lukas?" Forsyth asked.
"I hate to admit it but... someone's gonna have to take care of him..." Clive admitted.
"Like who?" Python asked
"You two." Alm replied.
"US!? OUR REPUTATION IS GOING TO SINK!" Forsyth and Python shouted.
"No it won't. Plus you two aren't on the battlefield as much as some of us so it only seemed natural to pick someone not in harm's way." Clive explained.
"No way bro!" Python exclaimed.
"Please? You'll get double pay and a week off if you do." Alm bribed.
"Deal." Python said. "Now how do we start..."
"Ask Clair or Faye I guess..." Forsyth replied. "And how could you!?"
"What? I want to spend time with my boyfriend." Python explained
"And who would that be?"
"You."
"Oh dear Mila someone help me."
"Faye? Could we have a moment with you?" Python asked.
"Yeah, sure!" She replied. "What do you need?"
"This sounds kind of stupid but... How do you take care of a doll?" Forsyth asked.
"It doesn't sound that stupid when you know the context." She replied, giving a wink
"How?" The two soliders asked.
"Alm told me."
"Oh." The two men felt less idiotic and childish after that.
"Well, it's kind of taking care of a sick person. But without the bodily fluids."
"Or constantly having to get them stuff?" Python asked.
"Yeah. Kind of like that."
All the two soliders knew is that they were in for one hell of a ride.
