Resist

AUTHOR's P.O.V
"To impress me."

Jimin turned his heels around and walked over to the door in his empowering stride, the men soon following him in sync with his stride. Y/N stayed there hurdled as she kept her eye on their figures stepping out.

Suddenly a hand tapped her shoulder, catching her absent mind off guard. She looked over to her side and her eyes locked with the pair of mysterious ones in a compelling gaze. His black locks waved down his forehead to conceal his eye's mysteries that seemed deeper than the ends of oceans. Yet there was something vastly different from Jimin's eyes that were cold and bare. As though if they had stayed there a moment longer, a smile might have lit the room.

But he gestured a hand out towards the door for her to come with them, waiting for her to exit first. Y/N followed his gesture before her heart could start racing. She realised that both of them were the only ones left in the room.

She hung the bag on her shoulder before mirroring his steps as they walked out. Her eyes suddenly caught the woman from earlier staring at her with widened eyes and slack jaw, her face drab. Y/N chuckled, the heels of her boots clicking with purpose with an extra sway of her hip. Not only her but all the other women around gaped at her stride with Bangtan.

Ray Y/N is chosen.

As Y/N went past the woman she shot her a sly wink before walking away from the scene, leaving the pretty woman dumbfounded behind.

Y/N's P.O.V
I walked down the same flight of stairs I had come up from with the 6 men in front of me and one who's still slowing his pace to remain behind in a protective sort of manner.

Black limousines lined up against the curb and the men began to make their way towards it. My footsteps came to a stop, slumping backwards.

What to do? Emm... Am I supposed to follow them?

Even the man behind me walked past to join the others taking their place inside. That really worked well on making me feel hopeless. Have I nowhere to go? The dark navy haired man, with his hands in pockets, glanced over at another in blonde hair. "Show her around the building first. Bring her back to us after she's seen the place," he ordered vaguely, slipping inside the front door that was then closed by a guard.

Lightheaded, I nibbled on my lower lip in confusion. What did he mean by show me around? I turned my gaze to the guy walking towards me. His lips suddenly stretched to a sweet smile, making me return a relieved one. "Are we that intimidating?" He chuckled, crossing his arms over his taut chest. I let a nervous laugh out, playing with the strap of my bag, not knowing how to answer his little inquiry. "Don't worry you'll get used to it. Bangtan is filled with emotionless and cold men... Especially Mr. Park." He whispered, receiving a nod from me.

Well, he's kinda nice.

"Oh, my name is Matt. Matthew." He introduced himself, bowing his head. The little gesture brought a smile to my face, and I bowed back before saying, "I'm Ray Y/N."

"Right. So, shall we?" He said, motioning for me to walk back inside the building first. "Yeah, sure." I replied before carefully taking steps further, being followed by him. But in the end he walked ahead of me, so what was the point?

Instead of heading left where I was just moments ago with those other girls that were long gone, I was led through double doors on the right, where all the real secrets and surprises were hidden behind.

"So, as you can see, this building consists of 20 floors. Tenth is the boss' office, of course," Matt started. "Second floor and the third floor are..." His voice trailed off and I noticed him bite on his lip. "Well, you'll figure it out yourself."

His last words made me frown. How secretive can a business company be? It's not like I don't know how a business works.

After a little journey, we stepped out of the elevator as soon as it stopped. "Welcome to Mr. Justin's training house," Matt spoke with a smile, the corner of his eye glancing over to me.

Trai... What?

A scream instantly rose to my lips that was swallowed down with the flying of my hand over my mouth as my eyes flew around the room.

You're... You're joking...!

A never ending rectangular space was filled with black equipment everywhere. Massive punching bags the size of three men were scattered everywhere along with mats for kickboxing. I thought my jaw was wide enough but I think it detached from my body when my eyes explored further back to find... Weapons. Rifles and sharpest and longest knives were hung like paintings along the walls opposite the cardboard cutouts of people that were torn with vicious cuts and bullet holes through them.

I felt my heart pounding thunderously in my chest as my mind refused what my eyes saw. No... No this isn't right! Tell me this is a prank!

"Mr. Justin is mostly found here with the new recruits and has others watching over the third floor with the ones that are more experienced with us." His words went inside my ears but had to wait in line for my mind as I tried to convince myself my eyes were not deceiving me.

"Shall we continue to the fourth floor?" Matt asked as if absolutely nothing was wrong. As if he... More like they, were not just dropping a bomb on my soul from the bombs laid decoratively on the table.

The mind splitting suffocation crawled up my lungs, blocking the air. I couldn't move, I couldn't respond. I didn't know what to do.

But Matt began to leave the room and there was no way I was staying here with death at every doorstep. So my rushed footsteps followed in silence. It was like my mind had detached from my body that robotically followed him.

-

"Now, welcome to the best drug makers' place in the world that belongs to Mr. Leo."

My heart instantly dropped to my stomach hearing the words slip from his mouth. He can't be serious... Right? My body stiffened as we both came out of the elevator to the fourth floor. When I looked ahead, the frown raised away with the drop of my jaw.

Different from the 'training house', this place was painted in grey. Despite the dull colour of the place, the tables were coloured in powders of every shade, definitely being drugs. Every individual present was minding their own business in their work, setting the tables neatly. I gulped down my anxiousness seeing complex machinery and equipment placed on each of the tables.

I came with the expectation of stacks of office desks but instead were stacks of tables that held colorfully deceiving and sinister powders.

"Mr. Leo is the one who's in charge of drug dealing. Any gang that wants to buy our substances has to meet him. In short, he's the drug dealer of the Bangtan Empire."

The Bangtan Empire... Things are coming together in bits and bits... Now seeing these terrifyingly dark places, I could see why it was definitely not any ordinary business...

Matt seemed to pay no attention to my utterly frozen state, nor had I dared to speak in fear he was probably a psycho just like the men who made this place. My life was dearer to me than an answer to the million questions hitting in my skull. I stood quiet as he turned to me.

"Now let's go to the seventh floor," Matt suggested with a lopsided grin coming up in his face, the air in my lungs being viciously chased away.

Oh what more is there in store for me...

-

We walked out of the elevator to the last destination but as soon as I stepped in, I gasped taking a step back as my hand flung to my mouth. "So... Welcome to Mr. Adam's heaven." My eyes involuntarily shut themselves tight at the disgusting sight. This doesn't deserve to be called heaven...

The entire floor contained girls in lingerie that barely covered their bodies, talking to each other or just doing their own business. Some of them are even kissing each other and having... Sex. I tore my eyes from them, pursing my lips to hold back the nausea that rushed up to my throat.

O-Okay...

"Straight?" Asked Matt, tilting his head when he observed my contorted face. By now the entire colour from my face was drained away and all I could muster was the slightest nod. He chuckled at my response as if I wasn't having a complete breakdown where all my bones were on the verge of collapsing.

"The girls, or should I say the sluts, were either kidnapped or imported from other countries. They were brought there." The hairs on the back of my neck rose as I heard his answer.

Kidnapped?

Matt refused to pay attention to my haze as if purposely ignoring and well aware... This was not meant to happen... The image that was painted in my head after seeing the big boss was unfit to the scenarios meeting my eyes. Blood was draining down to my feet, turning my body pale the more I heard his words.

"They're either killed for not giving good services or get bought by other gangs. Anyway, that's all I guess."

Anyway? Did he just say 'anyway'? There's no way they just normalized sex trafficking. How can they think this is okay?

"So, gotta get you back to the boss now or else he will kill me. Let's go." He called out, lunging forward to walk to the elevator. The strength to keep walking left my body, but the awful sights were worse than enough to make me dash out of the room behind him.

I stopped Matt's footsteps with a tap on his shoulder. I subtly point upwards like a mute little girl. Nonetheless, he got me.

"Yeah right, the other 10 floors. I can't bring you to those. They're dangerous. Those floors are for weapons production and testing. Handled by Mr. Jayden. Only selectives are allowed there to help him make 'em," he explained. "No one can enter it except for Bangtan themselves since most of the weapons are handmade. Plus, they don't care about anything around them when they are testing the new bombs so... You can die in an instant if you step into any of the floors..."

A chill ran down my spine. It had come to this. Death. Bombs. As if they were nothing. My hands trembled violently, feeling suffocated in this trap that I wanted so bad to escape. I couldn't swallow back the outburst of tears anymore, the fear in the pit of my stomach was only gradually intensifying. I wanted to be devoured by the ground right then and there.

But I didn't know what more was deceivingly wrapped for me.

-

My hands clenched the fabric of my blouse while the car was driving to where the rest of the men were. My hands refused to stop quivering so I only gripped it harder, watching the knuckles turn white. My lips pursed shut in order to stop the shakiness of my frantic breath.

Soon, the limousine stopped in front of a grandeur mansion. Ordinarily, my eyes would have widened in awe, but right now anything and everything in relation to these men terrified me...

The very second the door opened, I rushed out of it and followed the remaining men through the grand double doors. Just before they parted I tapped Matt's shoulder and leaned in to mumble a discrete question.

After getting his reply, I forced what I could make of a smile then immediately spun my heel and ran through the hall. I had no time to admire the lavish chandeliers and furniture that I would have dreamed of; I just ran up the stairs swerving to the side as people went the other way.

My breath was panting hard and my heart pounded as I sprinted through the never-ending, large corridors until a door came in view. I knew, it was the one I was looking for.

Without hesitance, I slammed the door open and barged my way in. My blood boiled as my flaming eyes glared at the wiry figure of the devil's spawn leaning against the railings of his balcony.

Running his fingers through his dark navy hair, the man slowly turned around, licking his lips as if he had expected me to be there any moment. As if he had been waiting for me..

"You didn't tell me the Bangtan Empire is... A mafia?!"
