epilogue

Dawn stayed with Remus through his hardships, even when he wanted to break up in fear of hurting her. She had cling onto him, refusing to let him go unless he didn't love her anymore, and he couldn't lie to her.

Throughout the rest of their years at Hogwarts, the two watched as their friends grew up into adulthood. James had moved onto dating Azalea, Lily courted a girl named Effie, while Sirius and Ivory got back together but broke up once more after graduating.

Except, they all had to come together for the Order of the Phoenix during Voldemort's rise to power. Lily gave birth to a Harry Evans-Evanescence. Lily had used James as a donor, since Effie and her couldn't actually have their own children. Effie and Lily deemed Ivory the godmother and Sirius was the godfather.

Dawn loved to spoil Harry, and as Remus watched the two interact, he started to wonder if he and Dawn would ever have children, but he would shake his heads at such thoughts. He couldn't risk their children being cursed as he was.

Full moons for Remus were still difficult, but the Marauders and Dawn continued to tag along in order to help him. One time, Dawn had gotten thrown into Sirius, causing the two to brace for impact against a tree.

Sirius had a fractured rib, while Dawn had bruises on her legs, but it was nothing they couldn't handle. Remus had gone ballistic as he turned back into a human. He was prepared to separate himself from them once again, as he did at Hogwarts, but Sirius and Dawn shouted at him. Sirius was already hurt by Ivory leaving for Romania once more. He didn't want to lose another important person in his life.

Dawn did her best to keep Remus's demons at bay, but she knew it was hard to get to him. He was a stubborn man who only wanted the best for his loved ones.

Shortly after, Sirius had been detained for murdering Effie and Lily, Peter, and twelve Muggles. Voldemort went into hiding after almost being defeated by Harry Evans-Evanescence, the Boy-Who-Lived.

Remus was enraged. He believed Sirius told Voldemort the whereabouts of Harry, causing Lily and Effie to die. He ceased friendship with Ivory as well because she believed Sirius was innocent. He had called her a fool at their funeral, but Dawn broke the argument apart before wands were drawn.

Dawn Disapparated back to their flat, setting Remus down on the couch as he sobbed. She hugged him tightly, whispering sweet words into his ear. She loved him and nothing would change that.
