Entry 6

As Amethio was charging towards me with their Corviknight, suddenly my pendant started glowing and a dome appeared around me again like before. They grunted and then I noticed how Roy's ancient pokéball was also glowing too.

After a few minutes, the green dome of light disappeared. Friede tried to run over and protect me but then the two other members of the Explorers tried to stop him.

Charizard tried to attack but the two Skamory using Whirlwind put it off.

"You and the pendant are coming with me!" Amethio said and started marching over to me.

"But that's your treasure, am I right, Liko?" Roy and, and then shouted, "You can't have it!"

They didn't like that and then decided to challenge us to a battle. They through their pokéball up in the air and then Ceruledge came out of it.

I told Sprigatito to use Leafage and Roy told Fuecoco to use Ember. They both attacked at the same time but Ceruledge quickly swiped away the moves. Then me and Roy decided to split up by running opposite directions to attack Amethio's pokémon from the side, but then it used Psycho cut and knocked out with if our partners.

Amethio told us it was pointless trying to attack, but I knew we couldn't just give up! But despite all of this, out two pokémon were still able to fight. I then agreed with Roy to join our strengths to defeat them.

Sprigatito jumped in and used Leafage but it was slashed away. But while the blow made fog around the pokémon, Fuecoco then ran in and used Ember, which successfully made a hit. Me and Roy were so happy with our progress.

But it wasn't over yet and then Ceruledge used Phantom Force. It went under the sand and then came up out of the sky and knocked out Fuecoco. And while my partner was distracted, it did the same to it.

As we tried to run in and stop Amethio's pokémon from finishing them off, both my pendant and his ancient pokéball began glowing once again. The light was so blinding that it was all I could see.

But suddenly, the ancient pokéball unlocked and glowing gold light burst out of it and into the sky. And it was there that the pokémon that was inside was a black, sparkling pokémon I had never seen before! I gasped and Roy was just so confused.

Because I didn't know, I decidedto ask my Rotom Phone:

"Rayquaza, the Sky-High Pokémon, a dragon and flying type. It has lived for hundreds of millions of years in the ozone layer!" My Rotom Phone explained, "When it flies at night, it resembles a shooting star!"

"Rayquaza?" I said, "Are you angry?"

Suddenly, Charizard started roaring and then flew up with Friede on its back. He called my name and asked what happened, but neither of us knew the answer to that.

But because we were distracted, Rayquaza flew closer to us and then launched Draco Meteor down on us. All of the pink beams of light started to crash down onto the beach.

Amethio and the other Explorers decided to retreat, which was one threat gone, but there was still a huge one up in the sky!

Roy tried to make the pokémon go back in his pokéball, but it refused and continued to roar aggressively at us. And then, it flew off...

I was so tired out, but decided to still check on my Sprigatito anyway. It seemed okay, which was good. But then I looked over at Roy, and he onto his back.

"That was amazing!" He exclaimed, starting to make angels in the sand...

After all of that, I then decided to watch Nidothing's latest video. It was all about legendary pokémon and how they are rare and powerful. This made me and Roy think that Rayquaza must be one.

We then explained the story to Roy's grandad, and he and Friede didn't fully believe that the Rayquaza came from his pokéball. Then his grandad explained to us how the black Rayquaza used to be partnered with an ancient adventurer.

Friede asked him how it could have possibly came out of Roy's pokéball, and he admitted he had no idea, but the build up of suspense annoyed me. Roy's grandad then said about how he simply found the pokéball on the beach and gave it to Roy, which annoyed Friede.

Roy the came to the conclusion that his pokéball is the ancient adventurer's one, which would make a lot of sense. I smiled, buy then suddenly realised that when my pendant glows, the same thing happens with his ancient pokéball, which means they might be connected in some way.

I then decided to ask his grandad if he had ever heard of a pendant like mine, but he told me he hadn't. But Friede still seemed really excited to learn more about the legendary pokémon, but Roy reminded us how it had flew away and we had no idea where it is now, but suddenly Friede got a call.

He answered and Mollie announced how Sprigatito and Fuecoco were now fully healed, which made me happy, and made Roy run back without informing us he would do so. We thanked his grandad and then started running back to the airship too.

Once we caught up to him and I finished panting, I looked up to find Roy calling Fuecoco. He said how he wasn't ready to say goodbye even now and wants to stay with it forever.

He was then cut off when he saw Sprigatito and Fuecoco run down the stairs of the Brave Olivine to see us. I hugged my partner and then watched as Fuecoco walked uo to Roy.

He asked if they could be partners, and then suddenly it spat a pokéball out of its mouth.

"Are hou telling me I can use this pokéball to catch you?" Roy asked.

Fuecoco nodded, which then led him to ask, "So does that mean you want to be my partner too?"

The pokémon nodded again, and then tears began to form in his magenta eyes as he was so happy.

Friede said about how it was very obvious this was going to happen, and I nodded with a smile on my face. Then, all of us watched as Roy threw his pokéball. It went up in the air, and so Fuecoco jumped up to go inside.

The pokéball wobbled three times, and then there was a ding! Roy picked up his ball and smiled before letting out his pokémon again.

Fuecoco came out and then Roy's cheeks lit up with joy as he picked it up and began twirling it around while singing their song. I was full of compete happiness as I watched and felt glad that the two had found each other, but was embarrassed by the song.

Friede walked up to him and congratulated him for now becoming a trainer. The boy was confused so he explained how they aren't just friends now bur they're now a team.

He then informed my friend how we would be taking off for the Paldea region in a few minutes, which made Roy upset. Fuecoco started protesting, and I then reminded my friend of how he wanted to be a trainer and travel all around the world.

Roy told me how he didn't think his grandad would let him adventure on his own, but I told him that he wouldn't be on his own and that Fuecoco would always be by his side.

So he agreed to do it, and Friede told him that he just needed to let his grandad know and then he could join us on the airship. And luckily enough, his grandad had heard the whole thing and approached him.

Roy then started to get nervous, but still went along with the plan and told him how he had just become a pokémon trainer. His grandad seemed proud of him, and then his grandson explained that he wanted to go with the Rising Voltacklers.

His grandad gave him a scary look, but Roy still pushed forward and explained how he wanted to be like the ancient adventurers and how he wanted to find Rayquaza and catch it. He also explained it is not only his dream, but Fuecoco's too!

And luckily, they seemed to be enough convincing as his grandad agreed to let him go. He explained how he was glad he was now talking about his partner's dream too and that trainer an pokémon should share "one heart" and combine strengths too.

Roy and Fuecoco began celebrating and his grandad gave him his backpack he had packed for him. Then after that, me and Friede welcomed the boy to our team. He also said how when Roy goes back home, he'll be riding on Rayquaza's back, which made me giggle.

So with final goodbyes, we all headed back to the ship and were greeted by the rest of the group. Orla tried to do the special handshake with my new friend, but he got confused which made all of us laugh.

Friede was about to send everyone to their posts but then suddenly Roy pulled out our missing flag from his bag. He explained how he found it on the beach after the storm from a few days ago, which made the man so happy.

He said how the flag brought the boy and his pokémon together, and he then realised that Fuecoco was his treasure all along and picked it up.

"Roy, got your first job! You're going to run this up the flagpole!" Friede exclaimed.

My friend nodded and then did as he said. And so after that, me and him stared up at it together as the airship began to take off. Roy noticed how the people of his island were waving him goodbye so with tears in his eyes, he did the same back.

"Roy, look!" I said as I turned around.

He did the same and we then both looked at the sun as it was beginning to set over the water.

"So pretty!" I commented.

"The sea is really huge, huh?" He asked, "I've seen it every day, but never like this!"

"It's really starting!" I commented.

"Sure is! Off to the Paldea region and my... I mean our adventures together are waiting there!" Roy said, "Just you wait Rayquaza, I'm coming! I'll find you!"

"Yeah!" I added.

We then looked at each other and both started laughing. I'm so excited to see how far my journeys with him will go...
