Entry 1

  Hi, my name is Liko!
I'm writing this is my new diary because my mom bought it for me before I left to start school. I have a bunch of stickers on it now, especially of Nidothing and their Quaxly!
Anyway, I'm writing here because I want to write down all the amazing adventures I'm about to go on now that I'm apart of...
  Liko, don't spoil anything!
Sorry, anyway, let's go back to the very beginning...

It all started when I arrived at the bus stop. I had just arrived in the Kanto region and was now in my new uniform dragging along my suitcase packed full of many things.
I'm from the Paldea region so I had to bring a lot of stuff to Kanto so I wouldn't bother my parents if I happened to need something. They would be too busy anyway...
When I walked up to the bus stop, I sat down and then noticed their was a girl coming up to it too.
She said hi and waved and I felt so scared. I felt my heart pounding super fast because I don't even know her and she was already trying to befriend me?!
I waved hello back nervously and she continued running up until I realised that she was waving at a completely different girl, not me.
I sighed and tried to look around to take my mind off of that stressful situation. It was then I saw a Rattata that growled at me.
The pokémon spooked me a little too much and a gave a small scream. The girls were then looking at me so I tried to hide my face and look away.
"Do you know that girl?" One of the girls asked.
"No I don't," The other girl had replied.
It felt so embarrassing, I had already made a slip up and now of course they wouldn't want to be friends with me.
Luckily at that point, the bus finally arrived! The door opened and out came a Machop who then began to grab my suitcase.
I thanked it a little nervously and got onto the bus. There weren't that many people on it and whenever I do happen to go on a bus, I always like to sit at the back it is free.
I don't know why, it's just very comforting back there.
Soon, the two girls got on the bus as well, and decided to sit at the back too. Although I was sat a few seats away from them, I felt so nervous to slip up again.
As the bus started driving, I wasn't quite sure what to do. I hadn't made any friends yet so I had no one to talk to.
I decided to look at what the girls nearby me were doing. I saw they were laughing while watching... NIDOTHING!!!
The two girls were watching Nidothing, my favourite content creator on Pokétube! I couldn't believe it!!!
And I know what most people would do in that situation, they would say that they like Nidothing too and start a conversation about it. But for me, it just isn't the same.
I get too nervous and then the chance to do that just slips away from me...
It was then I looked put of the window and realised that we were driving past so many cool pokémon. I'm not used to being in the Kanto region but they sure have a lot of unusual pokémon I've never seen before!
After all of that, we arrived at Indigo Academy! I got off of the bus and took my luggage before entering the gates.
The school was so big! It's amazing how so many students and teachers can just fit in their and get to where they need to go so easily!
I entered the building and the first thing I decided to do was head to Room 303, that's where I was told my dormroom was.
But when I got there, I found that there was a girl already there and that her things were all over the place. I thought I had somehow wondered into the wrong room so I apologised and closed the door.
I wasn't really sure how I had mistook the room but luckily the girl opened the door and told me this was my room. And she introduced herself as Ann, I really hope we become good friends!
As I was unpacking my things, my new roommate was really interested to learn more about me.
"So you're seriously from the Paldea region? I've never been but I'm betting it's cool, right?" Ann asked, sitting cross-legged on her bed.
  "Well... I don't know but I think that it's a nice place," I replied.
"Hey, have you ever seen a Pawmi?" The brown haired girl said, putting her hands up to imitate Pawmi ears.
I nodded in response, "Hmm! But it kind of ran away from me-"
"Jealous!" She sighed and began to lie down on her bed, "Uhhh, I've never even been outside of the Kanto region before! You know?"
"Same for me! This is my first time away from home, I've never left Paldea before!" I responded.
"Huh? And you picked this school?" She gasped.
I nodded, "Well, I asked my mom and dad which school I should attend and they told me about this place, since they were both students here!" I explained.
"Wow, so that means it runs in the family!" Ann exclaimed.
"That may be true, but I still don't know what I'm doing," I admitted.
"No worries, I can be your guide around Viridian City!" The brown haired girl said.
"Really? That's so nice of you Annie!" I exclaimed, really happy that she would be willing to show me around.
"Just Ann is fine! And I can call you just Liko, right?" She asked.
I gasped but that quickly turned into a nod, "Ann then!"
After that, we went downstairs onto the battlefield and watched as the other students battle each other. It was so amazing to watch this battle between the Espeon ond Machoke because one day I'll be battling too, so I need to watch to do my best even though I doubt I'll ever be that good.
But then, Ann turned to me and said, "Guess what, after the welcome ceremony, we're gonna do the thing!"
"Do what thing?" I asked, looking very puzzled because her statement had been quite blunt.
"What thing do you think?! Our partner pokémon!" Ann replied, pumping her fist in the air.
And that's when I realised, we are getting our first pokémon today! My heart was pounding so fast as I had a flashback to how awkward I had been during the interview to join the school. Would they even let me have a pokémon after all of that?
The next day, we all went to the opening ceremony and listened to the headmistress as she talked about Indigo Academy and its relationship with pokémon. It was really interesting to listen to!
And shortly after that, a new feature was added to my Rotom Phone so that I would now have the Pokédex on it.
"Oh wow, I finally got my own Pokédex!" I had said.
"That's right! And we both know what that means," Ann leaned on and replied.
That's when I realised it was finally time to get my partner pokémon! My mind was mostly thinking about which pokémon it would be.
Soon after that, I watched Ann walk up. She picked a poké ball and when she threw it onto her desk, she found that her partner was a Oshawott.
She was over the moon and spun Oashawott around and around, I felt so happy for her.
"And Liko!" The teacher then called.
"Uhhh here!" I replied, slamming my hands on my desk to get up.
Full of worry and excitement, I walked up to the table where all of the poké balls were. The teacher gestured for me to choose and I felt so stress out, my heart was pounding so fast as my face went red from stress.
There was one specific poké ball he happened to gesture towards so I took that one. When I got back to my desk, I threw the poké ball to reveal a Sprigatito!
"Meowwww!" Sprigatito yawned and blinked curiously, "Mew?
As the Grass Cat Pokémon entered my Pokédex, I gasped and stared gaw-dropped at Sprigatito while it stared back at me with its big, magenta eyes.
"You're the cutest!" I cried, overwhelmed at how cute it was.
I tried to reach my arms out to give it a hug but Sprigatito wasn't ready for that and scratched me.
As I cried out in pain, the pokémon jumped off of my desk and ran out of class. I excused myself in the most awkward was possible so I could try and find it.
I asked my Rotom Phone about Sprigatito as I backed out of the classroom and I listened carefully I began to try and find my partner,
"Sprigatito, the Grass Cat Pokémon. A Grass type. 'With every step it takes, it releases a sweet scent, enchanting those nearby!'"
By the the time my Rotom Phone was finished, I had now managed to make it out of the building and so many people were staring, it was so never-wracking!
But then that's when I realised, I could follow Sprigatito's sweet scent and find it. I began to crawl along the floor and sniff the grass, I could tell it was nearby.
I walked around for a while until I saw the roof and thought that my partner might be up there.
I ran up all the stairs and then looked around to there until I saw waiting on the roof was Sprigatito!
"Sprigatito, it's dangerous up there!" I had called.
Its ears twitched at the sound of hearing its own name and then looked down at me. I was so worried and was trying to think of a plan when...
  It jumped!
I was overwhelmed with worry and concern but managed to push through and try and save my partner. It jumped onto my head and unbalanced me so that's when I tipped over the rails and then we fell together.
I saw my life flash before my eyes as we I fell. But even though I was scared, I couldn't let anything happen to Sprigatito so I clung to it tightly.
Luckily, there had been a Snorlax at the very bottom so we landed safely. After bouncing off of Snorlax's stomach, I quickly apologised and then had to continue following my partner as they had continued to walk off.
Sprigatito wandered into a bush so I followed through to find it. The sun was setting so I knew I had to find the pokémon quickly.
As I walked out tiredly and was barely getting by, I gasped in shock as I saw the view of the lakeside.
It was a beautiful sunset with the waves turning pink as they reflected off of the sky. It was the most incredible thing to see!
I ws so mesmerised by it that I then sat down at the patch of grass before me to watch it longer. Luckily, I heard feet plodding from behind me and then saw Sprigatito sit beside me.
"Sprigatito?!" I gasped, but my voice had quickly turned into a sigh of relief as i lifted it up, "Thank goodness!"
I nuzzled my face into its and then stared into Sprigatito's magenta coloured eyes. I leaned in closer and was about to comment on how nice they smelt, but then they put a paw in my eye and leaped away from me before wandering off once more.
"UHHHH WHY THOUGH!" I sighed in the loudest voice I could possibly muster, as I was so exhausted...

The next day, I remember how the first ever battle I had with Sprigatito now as my partner hadn't gone well. I was trying to tell what I want it to but... it would just do its own thing, and we lost to Ann's Oshawott.
But then again, I was really uncertain of what to do or say, so that was kind of expected.
Ann told me the great advice of telling each other what we want to do, or at least that's what I think she said, I hadn't been properly paying attention...

So after all of that, I decided to watch one of Nidothing's videos. They always cheer me up and help me learn, I knew it would be useful!
After that, we went back to the lakeside I mentioned earlier. Although, even after watching Nidothing, my idol, I was still uncertain and that led my partner to be even more confused.
A while later, I got to distracted and then looked up at the moon. And as I reached my hand uo to see if I could grab it, even though I knew I couldn't, I hadn't noticed Sprigatito was now scratching a rock.
Once we were done, we had to pass by security and get back to our bedroom, which we did successfully.
I sat in bed and watched hoe my roommate Ann was somehow fast asleep despite the fact we had snuck out earlier. I looked over to see that Sprigatito was getting tired and had now curled up to go to sleep.
But I still couldn't quite be like either of them yet. So that's when I decided to get the box that contain the pendant my grandmother had given me just before joining school.
I smiled as I stared down at but was suddenly startled,
  "What ya doing?"
I freaked out and looked beside me to see that Ann was somehow there. I thought she was asleep!
I tried to ask if I had somehow woke her up but she quickly turned around the conversation and asked what was hiding in my pale white box.
I very quickly explained to her the story of how I recieved it and then I gave her concent to touch it. She had picked it up and then placed it against my chest.
Very quickly after, she had asked why I had keeped it "locked away" and then told me that it looks great on me. I told her that I wasn't ready just yet for that, and put it away.

The next day, I was so tired from everything that had happened and was half-asleep during my lessons. But even them, I was still determined to learn, especially about the things I don't quite understand yet. After all, that's why I'm here!
After that was over with, I went back outside with Ann and we sat on a bench together and watched as Oashawott was training.
"Oashawott seems fired up!" I commented.
  "Where's Sprigatito?" Ann asked.
"Hmmm... probably taking a nap!" I replied.
As I was looking out into space, I heard that Ann could see an airship in the sky, but I still was too worried to look up.
"Hey, what's wrong? Seems like you're worried about something," My brown haired roommate asked.
"You're so lucky, with Oashawott..." I admitted.
"It's about Sprigatito, hmmm? But it seems so cool and chill!" The brunette sat beside me argued.
I was really taken aback by this.
"You really think so?" I asked.
"You've been really focused on how to understand Sprigatito, "Ann replied and began squishing her partner pokémon's face, "But you know what I think? You should let it know what Liko is all about!"
That one quote was stuck in my head until I jumped onto my bed and really though about it. What does she mean?
Sprigatito, who had been sat on the top of my pillow, bent over and meowed in want of attention.
I sat up straight again and started muttering to myself how about how I get my words muddled up all the time. I just know what I want to say, but don't know how to say it just yet.
It's an issue I'm working on!
"What do you want to do, Sprigatito?" I suddenly asked.
My partner looked up at me after cleaning its paws but looked really confused.
"You decide," I had added, and this luckily worked.
After Sprigatito had finally come to a decision, we went outside where I began studying my partner pokémon to get to know it better.
I watched as it bounced up objects attached to the building that looked like stairs, fall asleep on its favourite roof and even plod around, just to get to know it better. Hopefully we will find something to do!
When we got back to the dormroom, I began scribbling down lots and lots of notes when it began scratching and pawing at the duvet of my bed. Ann was watching me the whole time so it was probably really embrassing, but I was too focused on my work.

Later on, I was walking around with my Rotom Phone following behind me until it stopped in front. I looked down to see that on the screen was a map of the school and the Sprigatito icons signaling its favourite spots to sleep.
I was currently trying to look for it, so I knew it would be useful!
I continued looking around and even climbed up the final set of stairs to look at the top of the building where I found it walking along a baluster.
It was moving too quickly for me so I had to catch up. I told it how dangerous it was up there so it knew it was time to come down.
As it jumped, I was worried that we would end up falling down once again with nothing to save us, but thus time was different. I managed to catch it and was about to swiftly motion into a hug but we ended up falling over.
But I was fine, and began squishing its toe beans because they are so cute and playful! Sprigatito liked it a lot, especially when I went into to smell its sweet scent.
Later that day, me and my partner went back out to the lakeside where we continued to train. I noticed that it was getting tired but I really wanted to master Leafage, the attack I've been wanting to teach it this whole time.
Wait, did I forget to mention that earlier?! Uhhhhh...
Anyway, Sprigatito was too tired at that point and then curled up to go to sleep on the path. But rather than sighing about it, I just smiled and accepted it was now getting later into the day.

Later on, the many students were about to head home on the bus, and so was Ann. I was sad that I wouldn't be seeing her for a while, but glad that she would now be able to show off Oashawott to her family.
We chatted for a while and then I waved goodbye as she entered the bus. And after it was gone, me and my pokémon agreed it was time to head back...
But as I made my way through the door to enter into the school building, I was startled to here the following,
"Oh, she's right here! Liko, you have a visitor!"
I looked up to see the regular cleaning lady, but next to her was someone I've never seen before. This person was taller than me, had black and grey hair with purple eyes, they looked ominous and untrustworthy.
"Nice to meet you, you're Liko, aren't you?" The mysterious person asked.
The fact that this person was even uncertain who I truly was scared me even more, but I had to push those feelings away because this might be a serious issue for me and I need to be a good listener.
"Yes I am," I answered, "May I ask you you are?"
"Your grandmother sent me here to personally deliver this letter," The person said and handed me an envelope containing... a letter from my grandma?!
"A letter?" I asked, my tone of voice really puzzled.
A million thoughts were flowing in and put of my head. What's going on?! Who is this person?!
  "Ummm... but..." I mumbled.
"She said you'd be suspicious, she also mentioned it's very important that you bring your pendant along with you," The person responded.
I could tell Sprigatito could tell something was off too because it behan hissing at at the young adult standing before us. But because there was some chance that this is actually a good guy and that we are just judging them off of appearance, I told it to stop.
"I'll go get ready, pleasejust wait here!" I said and began walking off, Sprigatito continuing to hiss.
I then went back to my dormroom, but as soon as I closed the door, I began panicking.
This was all so confusing and my heart was pounding so quickly. I just didn't know what I should do, things sure are hard when your brain goes into fight or flight mode, except I would NEVER choose fight!
I was marching backwards and forwards while Sprigatito looks at me while still very annoyed after I had told it off.
I bent down to pick up the box containing my necklace inside but then I heard a knock on my door. It was so unexpected and I ended up dropping the box.
I screamed but then had to quickly cover my mouth so the strange and mysterious person wouldn't here. So with that, I bent down once again and put the necklace on before grabbing my backpack and running.
Once I knew I had everything, I jumped out of the window. Sprigatito had gotten out before me and was already on one of the many roofs so I decided the best thing to do was follow it.
After trying to find a way up for a few minutes, I began climbing up by just using the roofing as stairs. Very high... stairs.
But once I got up, me and Sprigatito looked up and over the edge to see a lady with turquoise hair in a black suit. They were on their Rotom Phone to someone and looked quite suspicious.
I thought I was safe until she spotted me, and then gritted her teeth. I was really scared and hid back before scampering as fast as possible.
Sprigatito and I jumped down from one of the roofs but I ended up falling and was in a lot of pain. Someone has spotted us though, and then they sent out a Rhydon!
My partner pokémon looked ready to battle, so even though I was scared, it would be the best possible decision.
"Sprigatito, use Leafage!" I commanded, raising my arm outwards.
The Grass Cat Pokémon actually did what it was told for once and glowing leaves came from out of its green tuft of fur. Rhydon was much stronger though and swiped away the attack with its arms.
Rhydon trainer told me how I could possibly with with such a "pathetic" move. I agreed with him, but I felt one more try couldn't hurt.
Sprigatito began sprinting towards the opponent's pokémon and used Leafage one more. The glowing leaves ended up covering Rhydon's eyes, preventing it from seeing.
It struggled to take the leaves off and that gave my partner enough time to jump onto it and launch what was like a bomb of green mist.
My pokémon jumped away after and I congratulated it for our great teamwork, but it was quite short because we had to move quickly!
After, I ran off and climbed up onto the top of the building to reach my partner, although I was panting because of how much hard work it had been. I stood up soon after and slumped to follow Sprigatito who wasn't tired at all.
As me and my pokémon we were running, I had heard voices so I looked down, only to see all three of the people after me. But then I heard a voice behind me so I turned around to see the three were already on top of the roof too. How?!
"We won't do anything that'll hurt you if you just give us the pendant!" The black and grey haired person from the start said.
Yeah right, like I believe that!
But then suddenly, there was a yell from above. We all looked up to see a person with white hair and goggles riding down towards us on a Charizard.
As he landed, dust circled the area with a lot of impact and I had to cover my eyes and my mouth. But when it stopped, I gasped because there was now another mysterious, new person joining us! What is going on?!
"And you might be?" The ominous leader asked.
"Could ask you the same thing!" The white-haired man replied while lifting off his goggles, "I've got business with that girl here!"
"We do as well!" The person replied, "Therefore, we'll settle this with a battle!"
And with that, they threw their poké ball, revealing their partner as Ceruledge.
"I was hoping you'd say that!" The other person replied, Charizard roaring shortly after.
The person who I am suspecting is the villain told the other two to stay back, and then the bsttle began.
Moves were being commanded left and right, both of them seeming so confident in their words. Why couldn't I be like that?
But after Charizard's Flamethrower, I noticed windows were starting to crack. And after I saw one of Ceruledge's attacks hit a part of the building near me, I knew it was getting too dangerous.
Both me and Sprigatito decided it was best that we ran, so that's what we did until we were shortly after stopped by the blonde haired man who had the Rhydon.
But luckily, my partner jumped onto his head, causing him to fall over which stalled me some time to climb up a ladder nearby.
Once I made it up, I decided to himd behind the clock tower but peaked around to watch the battle. But then looked back to see the next jump... would be a big one!
Sprigatito was getting really impatient which was making the situation even worse.
I was so, so scared, but I had no choice...
But as I leaped, I could here house behind me, so I turned around but only to see a Psycho cut coming towards me.
And just as it was only milliseconds away from taking effect, my necklace glowed and suddenly a green dome appeared around me...

__________________________________________

Alright so...
Fun fact about me: Me and Liko are so similar in personality that's it's hard to believe we are somehow not the same person. We're both shy, easily anxious and unsure about the future (with a lot of other similarities too)
So, to add a little extra to this story, I will sometimes change around stuff so when Liko reacts to stuff, I might sometimes make her reactions more like how I would deal with a situation like hers.

Anyway, I'm glad to announce this is the very first Liko x Dot fanfic on Wattpad, so yay, get ready to see this ship become really popular!!!
