Stagnant.

Definition of having no current or flow, showing no activity.

Isn't terrible to call your life stagnant? Or even yourself that word? Well, Cynthia didn't mind. . . to the public eye she didn't. But behind closed doors the only thing she wanted to do was break out of the everyday wormhole she was stuck in.

Growing up in Tulsa Oklahoma in the sixties was the worst thing. The divide between "Greasers" and "Socials", the constant fights everyday, nobod—nothing was every capable of being happy.

Cythina grew up on the west side of the town, meaning she was classified as a Soc. She didn't feel like one, hell, she didn't fit under the standards of one. Cythina wanted to run free; able to run through tall grass, breeze between the breakage of her hair, the dirt she could get on her dress and jeans. That life was her.

She even envyed her own mother. When her mother was a teenager she was able to do the things Cythina dreamed off. Which is frankly why, Julie ( her mother ) never stopped her.

Now, what crazy thing could Cythina could possibly done in a small city like Tulsa?

Love. That was it. She fell in love. She didn't just fall in love with anyone, her heart gave itself to the one and only Sodapop Curtis.

The greaser that ever Soc hated—only because they knew him once. Her brother would never let her even touch a finger on the "dirty greaser trash" but Cythina couldn't go away.

Her pointed toes curved from high heels pushed themselves to Sodapop's door. Cythina wanted one thing, for her life to not be stagnant anymore.

And it was clear she got it.

IX. Thena's Corner : AHH. Writing my Brill ( is this advertisement.. maybe ) fic just made me want to write this one even more. I love the way Jason plays Sodapop it just really pops out who Sodapop really is. BUT LET ME SAY SOME THING ABOUT CYTHINA. . . she is not full blooded siblings with Bob, they are only half siblings. And Cythina is kind of like a girl verison of Two-Bit so she won't be all girly and stuff like soc girls are. She's kinda like Darry as well with not caring about the names.
