Chapter 17 - House

The next morning, Michael came to my house and asked me if I would go with him. He didn't tell me where. He just asked me if I would go with him to wherever he wanted to go. After a minute or two, I told him I'd go even though I didn't know where we were going.

I got changed into nicer clothes because I wasn't going to be at my house all day as I had thought.

I put on a nice, long-sleeved coral shirt. It was fitted, but I liked it. You could see my nineteen-week baby bump. I thought it was pretty cute.

Next I put on some nice jeans. I really didn't care what I was wearing in my legs because I could almost not see them anyways.

I made my way downstairs and joined Michael in his car parked right outside of my house.

"You look nice, babe," he complimented me.

"Thank you.. It's hard to find things that look nice. Plus, I can't see my pants when I'm standing up now, unless I look in a mirror."

"Wow.. You have a nice baby bump. I can't believe my two babies are in there.. Ryder and Makenna," he smiled.

"Yeah," I nodded, agreeing with him, "So where are we going?"

"I'm going to show you something that I found," he smirked. I cocked my head to the side, wondering what he meant.

We continued to drive towards our destination. Michael took a few turns and we were soon in a quiet area. It was really pretty, and there was lots of open space.

We approached a place where there were a few houses. Michael stopped in front of one and got out. I noticed another car there. Someone was standing on the front porch.

The person on the porch waved at Michael as he got out of the car. He walked towards the other side and helped me get out of the car. I smiled and thanked him as I stood up from my seat. He closed the car door behind me, and I began to walk towards the house.

"Are you thinking about buying a house with me?" I wondered, getting excited.

"I am," he nodded, "This is a really nice house, and I wanted you to look at it with me. It's in a nice area too. Plus, there would be a lot of open space for Ryder and Makenna to run around in."

"Yeah," I agreed and smiled as we walked into the house behind the real estate agent.

We were showed the house, then the woman left the room for a few minutes to Michael and I could talk.

"Do you like it?" Michael wondered. I nodded, looking around at the nice room we were in.

"So do you want the house?" He asked.

"I think it would be a great house for our family. There's five rooms, three bathrooms, a nice kitchen, two living rooms, and a lot of space. Plus, it comes with a lot of area outside so the kids could play," I named off everything I loved about the house.

"And that's a yes?"

"Definitely," I nodded.

We talked to the real estate agent and told her that we wanted the house. We had set a time and date for the closing, and after that, the house would be ours. I was really excited to get the house and begin the twins' nursery.

On the way back to my house, we talked about everything that we could do with a house of our own. We wouldn't have to be living with our parents anymore. We would be able to be alone. It would just be us and the babies.

One thing that I was thinking about, however, was Louis. What about him? He would want to see his son or daughter. Would he be living with us? I wondered how that would work because he lives in England and we live in Australia. I want him to be there for his child, and I know he'll want to be there to see his child grow up. I was confused on how that would work.

"Aren't you excited? There will be so many things that we'll be able to do when we're living with each other, alone. I won't have to drive to see you. We won't have to worry about our parents telling us what to do, even if we're adults. I'll be glad when it'll be just you and me for a little while, then it'll be just you, me, Ryder, and Makenna," Michael smiled and sighed a sigh of relief.

"Yeah. I'm really excited. I can't wait to be living alone," I smiled.

"So do you want to go to your house or mine right now?" He wondered.

"I guess we could go to yours. I love going to your house," I told him.

"We won't have to decide who's house to go to soon because we'll have the same one."

"Yeah, I know. I can't wait," I bit my lip, looking out the window and putting a hand on my stomach. The babies had begun to kick, so I grabbed Michael's left hand and placed it on my stomach. He grinned at me then refocused his eyes on the road with his left hand on my stomach and his right hand on the steering wheel.

He drove us towards his house and pulled into his driveway. He parked, and we both got out of the car. He helped me out as usual, and we walked into his house.

After we walked in, his parents came up to us and asked us what we had been doing. Michael explained to them that we had gone to look at a house. They were excited for us. That was one thing I loved about his parents: they were always really supportive of us and really happy when something good would happen to us.

"Michael, are we going into your room upstairs?" I asked.

Michael nodded, and he followed me up to his room. We both sat on his bed and continued to talk about the babies, the house, and our relationship in general. I was really happy when I was with him, and I wondered how that would change after he knew I had been with Louis..
