Dates For The Doctor (TenRose/Whouffle one-shot)

A/N: I haven't updated in a couple
Of days, so here's a new update! Enjoy the companionship (haha pun there do you see it? No? It sucks? Aww, I know... Sorry!)

Not exactly a oneshot, but had something like it. Enjoy!

Also, sorry if there's any spelling mistakes but I'm updating on my phone, which doesn't have any spell-check and I'm a horrible typer.

Prompt: One-shot where Rose has already been reunited with the Doctor... But meets Clara Oswald, his current companion.

~~~
The three had been in the TARDIS, Rose had found her way back the night before and The Doctor was not wasting a second of her appearance.
Rose was obviously not used to this Doctor, but she hasn't exactly met this one yet and found he was being a bit... Invasive. So reluctantly, she pushed him away, only to Clara's joy.
When Rose asked a question she wanted to know badly. "How many others have there been since me?"
The Doctor sighed and backed off, but didn't really want to answer. He thought for a moment. "Four."
Rose looked down. She knew there would be someone, but not that many. "But... How many years?"
"Uh... 200, about?" He appeared disappointed at her reaction, but his face brightened when here did.
"That's a long time." She said simply, before Rose turned her attention to Clara.
Clara had been obviously jealous of Rose; he had never seen him act like that around anyone before. It could be expected, though. Clara had seen his past and knew that The Doctor truly loved Rose Tyler.
Clara thought that he would eventually get over her, and hopefully turn his eye towards her... But she knew there would always be a section in his hearts just for Rose, no matter how much time had passed.
Either way, The Doctor would never think of her that way. So she just accepted his friendship with open arms and dealt with what pain she could, ignoring the fact that she really loved the mad man with a box.
"I suppose it is." He said simply and spun around, walking to the console. "Well, I've got to give the TARDIS a few repairs, why don't you to go to London in your timelines and have a cup of tea? Talk stuff out?" He smiled again. He trusted his two companions not to fight with each other, and his thoughts drifted to when Rose met Sarah Jane.
"Okay..." Rose grumbled and Clara nodded.
The Doctor didn't notice their negative moods and just set the coordinates, taking off into the Time Vortex and attempting to land gracefully in London 2010.
The TARIDS shook, and they finally landed. Rose went to form a jacket in her bedroom as it was in the fall, and Clara stayed behind as she was already wearing a sweater.
"Doctor... Are you sure this is okay?" Clara asked curiously as he went down below the console for repairs.
"Of course I do. I trust the both of you to not do anything stupid." He replied as he collected some wired in a pile.
"I... If you say so." Clara shrugged and went back upstairs, smiling when she saw Rose come back. She thought it best to remain civil with the former companion.
Rose smiled back, but Clara could see it was fake. She hoped hers didn't appear the same either.
"Allons-y?" Rose asked and I looked at her curiously.
"My Doctor used to say it. But weird, but you know him." She smiled for real this time, and Clara giggled for real as well.
"Oi! I heard that!" The Doctor yelled from below them. You could just see his pouting face.
The two burst out laughing, and the still-angry Doctor smiled. Maybe they would get along.
Oh, how wrong he was...
Not too long later, the two ladies stopped outside a café near where the TARDIS landed. Clara pointed it out, asking Rose if she wanted to go there, so she nodded and they both say down with tea and chips. Very British...
Clara decided she should speak up, on the subject of a person they both had in their lives.
"So..." She said almost awkwardly. "How long have you travelled for with The Doctor?"
"Hmm... About 3 years." She replied through a mouthful of chips.
"Nice. I've been with him for one, but my other lived have been with him on single adventures too." Clara responded as well.
"Other lives?" Rose questioned.
"Oh. I, uh- scattered myself all over The Doctor's timeline so I could save him from The Great Intelligence." Clara nodded as she spoke.
"Seems like us companions have a habit of doing that." Rose seemed like she was about to laugh. "Risking our lives to save him."
"Tell me about it." Clara smiled, and rolled her eyes.
"What're you like with The Doctor, then?" Rose asked.
"What do you mean?" Clara wasn't sure exactly what she meant.
"Do you like, kiss, or date, or anything like that." She frowned as she said this, Rose really didn't want to have The Doctor in love with someone else...
"Well, no, but I'd like us to." Clara said dreamily. "We hold hands sometimes, and he had to pose as my boyfriend once- long story. He ended up naked in front of my family... Some sort church thing." She sighed, remembering the strange times hey had.
Rose would have laughed, or smiled at the story, but now she wasn't. It could be that The Doctor had replaced her multiple times, and she didn't even know about the three before Clara.
"What about you two?" Clara asked,
not sensing Rose's reaction.
"Oh, we were great. Always together." Rose spat.
Clara noticed her tone. "Why-" but she was cut off by Rose.
"No, don't speak. I want to let it be known between us that you're not my replacement, that I'm here to stay and you're not going to win in kicking me out." Rose said cruelly.
Clara frowned at hearing this. She wanted to argue? She'd get an argument, alright. "You have no right to speak to me that way. You know, I bet he just found you lying around somewhere; he didn't come looking for you like he did for me."
Her words stung, and hurt Rose, but she wouldn't let that hurt her. "I've been with him longer. I know him better; he doesn't just pick people off the street! He picks people who matter. I've met another one, Sarah Jane. She's brilliant..." Rose trailed off as she remembered the same thing happened to her when she was arguing with Sarah Jane.
"Yeah. You're the one he loves, anyways." Clara looked away.
"He doesn't love me. Stop trying to persuade me into something." Rose rolled her eyes.
"No, really, he does. I can see the difference in him now that you're here, I saw him go into your room a few times and look at pictures of you... And afterwards he's always look sad or have tears in his eyes. He does love you, and don't you dare say he doesn't." Clara said seriously, looking into Rose's eyes.
Rose was shocked she was even saying this, she thought they were supposed to be arguing. So, in a quiet voice, she looked back over at her with gentle eyes and responded: "Really?"
Clara nodded and felt her eyes filling up with tears, but she tried to blink them away. Wasn't working for her.
Rose noticed this. It matter how much she was jealous of Clara earlier, or how she didn't really like her that much yet at all, she wasn't about to let someone feel like that. She she sat down next to her instead of across from her and put an arm around Clara's shoulder. "Hey, I'm here..." She whispered quietly.
Clara just wiped away her tears. "Sorry." She apologized quickly.
"Don't be sorry. I should be apologizing... Because you love him, don't you?" Rose could just tell.
Clara nodded slowly, hoping she wouldn't yell at her for liking him. That was a bit outrageous, though.
"Well you know what I'm going to do when we get back to the TARDIS?" Rose smiled.
"What?" Clara looked up at her curiously.
It didn't matter if The Doctor loved Rose or if Rose loved The Doctor. "I'm gonna make him go on a date with you." Her tongue poked through her teeth as she sat back down across from Clara.
Clara smiled when she said this. A date with The Doctor sounded amazing, even if he didn't feel the same way... But now that her and Rose were on better terms she felt like she should give her something in return.
"Then I'll have to make him go on a date with you too." She smiled.
Rose smiled again too, and laughed. "Thanks. I'll bet he'll be in some shock when we get back, then."
~~~

When the two ladies returned to the TARDIS laughing like best friends, The Doctor smiled.

"How was your trip?" He asked from below the console, finishing up on the repairs.

"Good!"' Rose called out "Got you a couple of dates!"

He poked his head out from under the flooring, staring at her in disbelief. "What?!"
