Hi this is the first doctor who fanfiction i have ever written so please be nice and let me know if you like it! I really enjoyed writing it and I hope you enjoy reading it. Also I don't own any of the characters from Doctor who. I do own shadow and a few monsters.

I'm all alone. I have lost everything and everyone. I have no-one to turn to for help, its just me on my own in the big wide world. It's late October and it's getting very cold, I don't know how I can last much longer. I'm scared. I'm scared for my life. I am starving, I haven't ate a thing in days. I want to die. I have nothing left to live for anymore. I shouldn't of ran away, but I can't go back, they think I'm dead and it's for the best. I was a burden to them and now I have lifted it. A Weight of their shoulders. One less mouth to feed, they would say. They had money problems so I left, not that they would be bothered. I hate them! I know what I am doing was best for me. now I have made that decision, it will stay with me for the rest of my life.

    Someone is following me . I can see who it is, it's a gang- a gang who I have met before. One of them I know from my old care home. So all the better to stay hidden. She was the bully there, she got kicked out (because of me.) She bullied me the most but I stood up to her and that was the last I saw if her. until today.if she sees me she will kill me.I want to run but I have no no where to run to. I can't move I'm glued to the spot with fear. At this moment, I wish, I was back home in my nice warm bed. To know that my parents are only down stairs and will keep from harm.but thats just a dream, its not real. Here I have to defend myself and keep myself from harm.

    They are coming this way I don't what to do, shall i stay and hide or try and make a run for it. Too late. They've seen me. Shes seen me. I have made up my mind, I have to run. I must run. For my life. Running running running never stopping never turning my back. all I know is that I must keep going. Then I heard it. A funny noise that seems to be coming from every direction. Thrusting up from the ground, crisp brown leaves swirling all around me. I turn to see what it is and don't see where I was going.

    I trip and fall.

    I can hear I muffled noise going on around me, my ears are ringing with a loud buzzing noise.
This is it....
They've got me...

    "HELLO! Sorry a bit loud, are you OK?" From the startled girls blurred vision, the Doctor's features came into view. "I'm the Doctor and this is Amy and Rory"
A red head with a Scottish accent came and stood over the Doctor, next her a skinny looking man with a Innocent expression.
    "HELLO!"

    "Erm...Hi!"

The girl began to speak "Wh...what happened? where did you come from?" she then looked around sharply scanning the area.

    "What are you looking for?" The Doctor asked trying to follow her gaze.

    "Erm... Nothing what's it to you? Where did you come from!?"

    "Hey there calm down. You fell and banged your head, you've been out for some time now. Why were you running?" The Doctor eyed her curiously

    "No reason OK! I'm fine. Just leave me alone" she said becoming defensive.

    "You don't sound so sure."

The girl didn't respond, just stared.

seeming to get the message that the girl wasn't going to answer his question, the Doctor jumped to his feet. The frightened girl could see that the Doctor was having an argument with himself. Then somehow coming to a conclusion, he turned his gaze back to her. He held out his hand and helped her to her feet.

    "By the way whats your name?"

Shadow's P.O.V

'My name? Should I tell him my real name? it obvious he didnt tell his real name, plus could I trust these people, I mean they just appeared out of nowhere.' I decided to use my nickname.

    " Shadow." I replied shyly.

    "Shadow." He said quietly to himself.

    "Doctor, whats the matter?" Amy asked.

    "What? Nothing I was just... Shadow what a nice name. Come along ponds and Shadow lets get back to the TARDIS, there is more to these woods than meets the eye..." He trailed off slightly looking around the tall trees surrounding us.

'TARDIS? what on earth was that was it code for something?' I thought with a confused expression on my face.

    We followed the Doctor, until we came to an unexpected stand still. On the muddy ground in front of them was a puddle of gooey slime. Immediately the Doctor took out something silver form his blazer pocket and examined it thoroughly.

    "This is transdimentional hyper fluid, this is impossible this shouldn't exist. This fluid can only be made by a creature that until now I didn't believe it even existed its a myth a legend." The Doctor spoke with a worried tone.

    "Somehow that didn't give me any comfort." Amy murmured to herself.

    "Doctor can you please tell us what this trandimentional thingy is?" Rory said confused.

    "Its transdimentional hyper fluid, OK! SORRY... sorry" taking time to compose himself, "it was said that at the beginning of the universe or maybe even before which is impossible nothing could exist so far back."

    "Doctor, just get to the point." Amy said.

    "Erm right sorry, it has been said in legends that creatures existed that could take the shape of any living thing and could willing fly through the time vortex itself. Unharmed.

    "What happened to them and what is that thing?" I asked pointing to the stick he was holding. He jumped seeming to forget that I was there. Which was a normal occur acne for me.

    "Well nobody knows exactly, they just disappeared no trace has never been found, until now. "And this" he said holding it up for me to see "is my sonic screwdriver." He said with a childish grin.

Before any one could say anything more, the Doctor was gone. Amy and Rory gave an exaggerated sigh, and quickly followed. Hesitantly, I decided to see where they were going.
