--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Walking endlessly in the corridors ofthe Sanctum looking for your friend Stephen, you finally reached thedestination you were seeking: Stephen's favourite place of thelibrary. A cosy warm room of the library with shelves full of higherexperienced book, his delicate trembling handwriting notes scatteredon the table with a cup of tea warmly steaming in the area, the placewas nowhere to what you were used to see. It was a complete mess.Burning bools were lying on the floor, smoke coming from burningpages, the shelves were stabbed with long greenish blades whichreminded you of Loki but you dismissed the thought as soon as itcame. You knew the two men disliked each other, but to fight wasanother level of hate against each other.

You scanned the place, your eyesresting on a puddle of blood on the floor and you immediately kneltdown to examine it. Thanks to your magic, your heart tightened whenyou realised it was Stephen's and you closed your eyes.

Stumbling footsteps coming your waymade your spin around, raising your fists with magic while Wongwalked hesitantly into the place. Immediately, you raised down yourarms, taking Wong into your arms while the Asian magician sighedheavily, knowing you wouldn't let go until you were finished. He was used to your antics.

"Are you okay? What happened here?"

The man grumbled.

"Asgardians."

You titled your head to the side.

"Was it Loki? He has a fetish with blades."

A familiar deep voice arose from behindyou.

"I do not have a fetish with blades. My sister does, however. She is the one who took your precious sorcerer."

Your eyes darkened while you walkednear Loki.

"Your sister? Who is she?"

He crossed his arms against his chest, eyeing you carefully, sensing your magic boiling inside of you

"Hela, Goddess of Death."

You locked eyes with the god, ponderingif he was telling the truth or not. He must have guessed yourintentions as he rose his hands in the air, looking awfully innocent.

"I am not lying."

You shrugged.

"Says the God of Lies. But I do believe you. Where is she?"

He leant forward, a smirk playing onhis lips.

"In Asgard. She intends to rule thekingdom and the other realms."

You sighed, walking to the blade to inspect it further.

"Another person who craves power. Areyou sure you're the adopted one?"

The god's temper seemed to grow evencolder, his skin changing to a blueish colour while his eyes turnedred. The air froze and you could see your breath fanned in front ofyou. You rose up and walked to the man, eyeing him carefully. Putting your hand on his icy cheek, you said:

"Don't get so worked up Loki. I was teasing."

You took the blade  which shone for afew seconds in your eyes, making the god raised an eyebrow at you.

"Besides, blue suits you. Now shall we go to Asgard?"

Loki sighed, shaking his head, his skin returning tonormal while he put his hands on your head, cupping your cheeks.

"Not we, darling, you. I cannot risk my life and Thor is in a compromising position with the Grand Master."

Then he leant in, murmuring some kindof spell to summon the Bifrost while his cold lips touched yoursunexpectedly. An incandescent light embraced you while the god pushed you into the portal watching carefully your depart to the Asgardian land. You barely had the time to register what had happened you were lifted into the Bifrost.
"Good luck, Y/N."

Then he turned to Wong, who hadassisted to the whole scene.

"No need to tell Strange about thisinteraction with Y/N."

Wong smirked, sending shivers down the spine of the god who had never seen the man smile.

"Too late, there are cameras in theSanctum and you can be sure Stark and Strange will know about this."

Loki raised his hand up, summoning aspell.

' Good. I shall take my leave, then.'

With these words, he disappeared in amist of green with hues of blue.

You stumbled into the Bifrost, stammering on your feet to gain some balance while a man waited for youthere. His golden eyes seemed to see past you, and you whispered :

"You're Heimdall right?"

The man removed the sword from theBifrost door, and stated.

"That is correct Lady Y/N. Loki warnedme of your arrival. Hela had the man in the cloak and demanded your presence."

You dusted off your clothes.

"Why would she want to see me?"

He sighed, tightening his grip on the sword while he walked towards the rainbow bridge.

"I do not know. However, she seems toexpect a weakling human. Use this to your advantage. I shall take myleave and lead the people of Asgard towards a place where they willbe safe until the princes return."

You put your hand on his shoulder, startling him a little.

"Thor and Loki will arrive soon. Leave Hela to me, I got this."

With one last nod to the man, youwalked on the rainbow bridge towards the palace which was impossible to miss. On your way, you didn't see a soul and it raised your suspicion. Where was the Asgardian Army?

Your question was soon answered whenyou stumbled into the large square where lied the lifeless bodies of the Asgardian soldiers. A spark of anger crackled inside you, seeing these blades ending lives of loyal men.

Here she stood, grabbing Stephen by the throat, the Cloak helping him to get some air while she threatened the sorcerer with a blade.

Immediately, you spun into action, your usual clothes changed into a vibranium armour, a magic aura embracing with balls of pure energy glowing into your hands.

"Let him go!" You shouted at theGoddess.

The woman turned her head towards you, raising Stephen even higher and he strangled, low on air.

"Finally, here you are, Y/N. You've kept me waiting."

You closed your fists, seeing Stephen in this state making you angry. You repeated darkly.

"Let. Him. Go."

The goddess grin widened.

"You shouldn't command the goddess of death, it's bad luck."

You stepped forward.

"I am not afraid of death."

Hela tilted her head to the side, smirking.

"But dear, you should be."

Then she dived the sword into Stephen's body, the Cloak protecting its master as much as it could by gliding in front of the sorcerer, piercing the thin magical fabric before entering Stephen's skin.

However, you raised your hand up, your telekinesis magic stopping the sword which had grazed your friend's skin. Stephen looked dumbfounded that you were able to hold your ground against the Goddess of Death. He knew you had a promising potential magical being and among the Avengers, but he had never thought you could do this.

You focused harder and managed to push the sword back under the bewildered eyes of Hela.

"No one can stop me. Asgard will be mine."

She released Stephen, sending him away like a rag doll while the Cloak acted like a cushion taking most of the impact. Hela took out two more swords and sent them towards you, repeating the action again and again while you dodged them with your magic.

You saw red and lashed out. A powerful blast of magic came out of your body, making Hela raised her sword up to protect herself, she planted her heels in the ground but the force of the blast pushed her away.

"You will not" you murmured, canalising your power in your hand. The goddess immediately spread back in action, sending sword after sword, trying to pierce your body with these sharp weapons. Each time you blocked them with a shake of your hands, deflecting them with ease. The frown of her eyesindicated you that she was impressed but as Odinson's daughter, it didn't matter.

"Kneel, or I'll take your love's life." She threatened, extended her arms at Stephen who was lying on the floor, barely conscious.

You froze, wondering if the goddess of Death could actually take someone's life with a snap of her fingers.

Gritting your teeth, you lowered your hands while a bright grin appeared on the woman's face.

"Remember your place, Midgardian peasant." She snarled, a sense of victory at reach brightening her eyes.

You sighed, silently calculating yourchoices, gazing at Stephen who was pleading you not to do anything. His face was bruised, his hair so usually slicked back was dishevelled, one of his cheekbones was cut and his clothes were in a disastrous state. You glared back at the goddess who stood proudly. Your eyes darkened, and as she snarled in victory, calling your race as a pathetic weakling, she stopped mid-sentence, snapping your head at you when she sensed a change in the air. Her eyes looked at your disappearing form. You stood there seconds ago, and now you had one of her swords at her neck, holding her tightly.

"You may be the Goddess of death, Hela, but I am not any Midgardian.  I am an Avenger. Never underestimate human. " You stated before knocking her down.

At that exact moment, Heimdall, Thor and Loki appeared from one of the broken buildings, the Asgardian people looking at you with bewildered eyes.

"Lady Y/N" slowly stated Thor, just as surprised as the others, thank you for taking ...hum... care of my sister."

You raised an eyebrow at him.

"You're very welcome, Thor. Don't let her out ever again. I'm pretty sure she would come for me"

Heimdall nodded.

"She will not roam any realm freely."

With a nod of your head, you rushed to Stephen's side who was speechless. He kept blinking at you, stammering.

"You... you.. Hela and.... You could have died!"

You shook your head, taking him in your arms while he kept muttering unintelligible words under his breath.

"A simple thank you would have be enough, Doc."

You put your arms around his waist and helped him get up. Groan left his lips while the cloak kept caressing his cheeks. His groans grew even louder at the Cloak's attempt of comfort.

Loki sent you a wink as you passed the Asgardians and you rolled your eyes, but you were not unnoticed by the Sorcerer who muttered a quiet spell under his breath.

Thor boomed.

"Brother, what happened to your hair? Are you trying a new colour because Hela is wearing the same than yours? I must say .... orange is a good colour on you."

You chuckled as you opened a portal, hearing the god exclaimed.

"Mewling magician, you will pay for this"

You shook your head.

"You know, pranking the God of Tricksmay not have been a good idea. Count me out to save you againprincess." You stated, leaving him in Wong's care while yelled your name again.

You disappeared in another portal, going to Avengers tower.

"Hey, Tony! Who do you think would win between Strange and Loki?"

The playboy looked at you with sceptical eyes while pouring himself a drink.

"Well, me of course."

You raised an eyebrow.

"My bet is on Strange."

Tony smirked, pointing at the screen where an all too familiar scene was playing: Loki's kiss.

"Well, I'm sure with some motivation, Loki would win"

And this tale is for another adventure.

A/N: So what did you think?
