21⚡️The Lion's den

A lion doesnot loose sleep
Over the opinions of a sheep....

The continuous vibration of the cell phone jolted Taehyung awake from his sleep. He squinted his eyes, trying to adjust to the sunlight streaming through the curtains, the warm rays illuminating the room in a soft glow. Groggily, he reached for his phone, only to find it switched off. Just as he was about to settle back down, he heard the persistent vibration again. Curiosity piqued, he glanced over at Sri's phone, which lay abandoned on the nightstand.

As far as he remembered, she had chosen to sleep in the other room last night. The sound of running water caught his attention, and he realized that she must be taking a shower since there was only one bathroom in the flat. The phone vibrated again, a distracting noise cutting through the silence.

Taehyung couldn't help but wonder who was sending her so many texts at such an early hour. The doctor felt a twinge of unease creep over him as he leaned in closer, trying to catch a glimpse of the LED screen. His heart sank as he saw Jungkook's name pop up in the notification. With a sense of dread, he swiped down the taskbar and read the message: the gangster had asked her to visit the Titan mansion in the evening.

A cold sweat broke out across Taehyung's brow. He knew that the longer she was involved with Jungkook and the Titans, the deeper she would get trapped in their dangerous web. He had to do something—now. Quickly, he locked her phone screen and slipped out of the room, just as he heard the water turn off.

Sri emerged from the bathroom, looking polished and professional in her formal attire. Taehyung studied her, trying to gauge her intentions. He wasn't sure where she was heading, but he was certain it wasn't to the Titan mansion. Their eyes met for a fleeting moment, and the air crackled with tension. If looks could kill, both of them would have been dead by now, the unspoken animosity hanging between them like a thick fog.

Taehyung waited anxiously for Sri to return as twilight settled around them. The clock struck seven, and Jungkook's message haunted him like a ghost. Did she really go there? What if she was in danger?

Finally, the door clicked open, and his wife walked inside. She cast a quick glance at him before heading straight to her room. After a few minutes, she emerged, dressed and ready to leave again. Taehyung abruptly stood up, a surge of urgency propelling him forward. "Wait!"

Sri halted just before she could open the door, turning to face him with an expression devoid of emotion. But before she could respond, Taehyung reached out and placed a hand on her arm, stopping her in her tracks.

"Just listen to me, please," he pleaded, desperation creeping into his voice.

"I'm getting late. Make it fast," she replied curtly, her impatience evident.

"I don't want us to fight. I just want you to be safe." His words caught her off guard, and her lips slightly parted in surprise. Seizing the opportunity, he pulled her into a tight embrace. "Please forgive me. I am sorry," he whispered into her ear, his heart racing.

Before she could fully process what was happening, Sri felt a sharp sting on her neck, and the world around her suddenly turned blurry. "What did you do?!" she pushed him away, bewildered.

He dropped the syringe onto the floor, a mixture of guilt and determination on his face. "I'm sorry, I can't let you go there."

"What the fuck are you saying, Kim Taehyung?!" she screamed, clutching her spinning head in an attempt to regain her focus. She blinked multiple times, fighting against the encroaching darkness.

Without hesitation, Taehyung scooped her into his arms before her body could completely succumb to the drug. Her hazy vision struggled to make out his features, but she glared at him, her eyes shooting daggers.

Yet, the intensity of her gaze hardly fazed him as he laid her gently on the bed. "Remember when I said..." He lowered his voice to a whisper, "If it's to protect either of you two, then I'll go as far as making S kneel in front of me." He pressed a soft kiss to her forehead, his heart heavy with the weight of his choices. The last thing she saw before closing her eyes was Taehyung loading his gun.

Once he was sure Sri was unconscious, Taehyung set off to locate the Titan mansion, a place he had never been before. The prospect of facing the lion in his den was daunting, and he knew winning would be next to impossible. Still, he steeled himself, ready to fight for the slim chance he had. Eventually, he spotted a massive building adorned with the imposing Titan logo at its peak.

He crept toward the back wall of the mansion, assessing the situation. The wall was tall, and climbing it would be a challenge, but Taehyung had no other choice. It was either take the risk or die at the main gate. He tossed a plastic bottle from a nearby trash bin to check if the wires above the wall were electrified. When he confirmed they weren't, he began his ascent.

Taehyung jumped to the other side of the Titan barrier and checked his loaded gun. From his vantage point, he spotted several men guarding the area. He tiptoed toward them and swiftly choked the first man until he was senseless. Then, with a quick whistle, he caught the attention of the next guard, who lunged at him with a knife.

With a quick reflex, Taehyung slid to his left, narrowly dodging the blade, and grabbed the man's wrist, twisting it until the weapon clattered to the ground. The guard retaliated with a punch, but Taehyung dodged again, countering with a swift kick to the man's stomach. He fell back, and the doctor seized the opportunity, pouncing on him and slamming his head into the ground, rendering him unconscious.

Having taken care of the immediate threats, he slipped inside the house through the back door. The living room was enormous, far more lavish than the old mansion. The large television and gleaming floors reflected the opulence of the Titan's lifestyle. His gaze fell on the red blinking LED of the CCTV camera in the corner, a reminder that Jungkook was watching him. Taehyung wanted him to come out; it was time to confront the man who had threatened his family.

Fully aware that Jungkook wouldn't dare kill him without facing the wrath of Sri, Taehyung prepared to take advantage of the situation. He knocked out another guard and aimed a punch at another man, only for the attack to be blocked just before it connected.

Taehyung's eyes widened slightly as he recognized the man standing before him. "Nice hair color, by the way," he complimented, the tension in the air thickening as they prepared to clash.

Jimin smirked at Taehyung. "Long time no see, my friend." He twisted his hand and pushed him away. Park Jimin wasn't the type to fight often, but he knew enough basics to handle himself—more than Taehyung had ever learned.

Taehyung screamed in pain but charged at him again. The gangster easily blocked the attack. "Wrong move, Kim," he taunted, delivering a swift kick to Taehyung's knees, causing the doctor to crumple to the ground with a groan.

Jimin towered over his prone form, chuckling in mock sympathy. "Do you want to die that soon that you dared to step into the Titan mansion? Does your wife know about this little stunt you've pulled?"

"Stay away from her," Taehyung gritted his teeth, struggling to rise, but Jimin placed his foot on his chest, pinning him down helplessly.

Jimin doubled over in laughter, his slightly crooked front teeth flashing. "Do you hear yourself? She's the queen of the Mafias, not us." He continued to laugh, relishing the moment.

"I don't care. I don't want her back in this hellhole," Taehyung shot back defiantly.

"Then try saving your daughter without us. All the best." Jimin retreated his foot and stepped back, turning to leave. But he sensed a shift in the air and dodged Taehyung's flying kick by inches. "Don't test me, doctor," Jimin growled, anger flaring in his eyes.

"Where is Jungkook?!" Taehyung demanded, desperation edging his voice.

"Go find him," Jimin replied, blocking his path challengingly.

Meanwhile, Jungkook was engrossed in the game on his monitor, casually leaning back in his chair with his legs propped up on the table. "Kim Taehyung met my expectations," he chuckled, taking a sip of his wine.

Sherly stood silently behind him, her eyes fixed on the pink-haired male. Since Jungkook had proposed marriage to her, Jimin had given her the cold shoulder, and she felt the tension simmering between the two men. Her gaze flicked back and forth between Jungkook and Jimin. Just as Jungkook saw Jimin preparing to deal a fatal blow to Taehyung, he stood up and left the room.

Taehyung felt the blood trickle from his nose as he faced Jimin, who had a gun trained on him. Wasting no time, Taehyung pulled out his own weapon. "I won't be the only one getting shot." The smile faded from Jimin's face as darkness clouded his eyes, and he was about to pull the trigger without a second thought when a commanding voice interrupted them.

"Back off, Jimin." Jk stepped in between the two guns, facing Taehyung.

"Jungkook, you're in the way," Jimin warned, frustration evident in his tone.

"I said back off!!" the boss raised his voice, forcing Jimin to lower his weapon and step aside.

A smirk crept across Jk's face as he observed the doctor, who gripped his gun tighter. The Titan boss casually took out his own gun and tossed it aside, slipping his hands into his pockets. "Shoot. You came here to kill me, right?"

Tae hesitated, his resolve wavering. He had come with the intention of killing Jungkook, but now he found himself unable to pull the trigger. "Just stop it. Why are you doing this? Why are you playing with her?"

"Because it's fun," Jungkook replied, a sinister chuckle escaping his lips. "I want her back. Titan will become more powerful if we have S on our side. Together, the Jeon siblings are inevitable." With each word, his voice dripped with venom.

"Shut up! I'll never let you have your way." Taehyung's teeth were clenched, and he remained unyielding, his fierce determination radiating through the tension in the room.

Jungkook smirked, continuing to disregard Taehyung's threats. "I'll also train your daughter to become one of us. Just imagine how cool she would look holding a gun in her hands."

"Go to hell, Jungkook!" Taehyung shouted, pulling the trigger. At that moment, another shot rang out, striking Tae's gun and knocking it from his grasp.
