1 ⚡️Little Family

The love of a family is life's greatest blessing.

The morning was bright and warm, casting a golden glow through the kitchen window. A forlorn trolley bag stood by the door of the Kim residence, neglected and forgotten. Its owner was far too absorbed in a moment of passion to care for it at present.

Taehyung pressed his lips against his wife's with an urgency that suggested there was no tomorrow. She found herself sandwiched between the cool kitchen wall and the warmth of her husband, feeling the heat radiate from his body. Her fingers tangled in his silky hair, gripping it tightly as she surrendered to the thrill of their heated make-out session.

He held her waist firmly, keeping her close, tilting his head to explore every curve of her lips. The taste of her mouth sent shivers down his spine, igniting a desire that burned fiercely within him. He wanted her, craved her—his growing bulge pressing insistently against her was a testament to that. He knew it wasn't the perfect time. He needed to leave soon, or he would miss his flight.

Still, he couldn't resist the intoxicating pull of the moment. Every kiss deepened, every touch ignited another wave of longing. The world outside faded into oblivion as they lost themselves in each other, caught in the spell of love and desire that wove around them like a cocoon.

Name: Dr. Kim Taehyung

Profession: World's most renowned cardiologist.

Likes: Family, friends puppies are his first love.

Dislikes: Lies, unnecessary violence.

"Umm... Tae..." she moaned softly between kisses, her breath warm against his lips. "You should go now. The flight is in two hours."

Taehyung nibbled her lips one last time before pulling away, a playful sigh escaping him. He clicked his tongue in annoyance and rolled his eyes. Could life not grant them just a bit of privacy? "If I were to rule," he purred, his lustful gaze capturing her flustered expression, "I would make sure you couldn't walk today."

"Oh, my 'not-so-bad-boy,' you're making this harder for me," she replied, her voice teasing yet earnest. "I don't want to get pregnant while you're away." She playfully licked her plump, luscious lips, the lingering scent of Taehyung still intoxicatingly sweet on her mouth.

His lips parted to form that famous boxy smile that always made her heart flutter. He remembered waking up feeling extra horny, probably because he wouldn't see his gorgeous wife for nearly a month. When his eyes had landed on her exposed body this morning, he simply couldn't resist. Last night's passion crashed over him like a tidal wave, igniting a desperate need to kiss her again. "As you wish, my lady. I am taking my leave now. See you after a month." He turned toward the door, her presence following closely behind him.

"Did you pack everything you need?" she asked.

He nodded in reply. "Did you pack the food? And the joggers and—"

"God, stop! Are you my mother or my wife?" Taehyung playfully scolded her, feigning exasperation.

She crossed her arms over her chest, a playful smirk tugging at her lips. "Can't be helped, Mr. Hubby. You're such a pain in the ass."

"I won't deny that." He shot her a cheeky wink, earning a blush that spread across her cheeks like wildfire. He felt a rush of gratitude for having married her. She was infinitely better than the one he had loved five years ago. She knew how to care, how to smile, and most importantly, how to love him deeply.

Leaning down, he pressed a gentle kiss to her lips, savoring the moment. "Take care of yourself and Taesoo."

"I will. Call me after you land," she replied, her voice softening.

Name: Kim Soojung (Sri)

Profession: ex- boss of the mafia gang, Titans.

Likes: Family, action (the demon in her still longes for bloodshed)

Dislikes: Anyone who intends harm to her loved ones. She can be a living nightmare for the enemies.

Sri visibly sighed as she heard the elevator door close. The house suddenly felt empty without her husband and their five-year-old daughter. This one month is going to be hell!

Since reuniting after her escape, Sri and Taehyung had been living in Australia. They were blessed with a sweet daughter a few months into their marriage, and now she was five years old. The Kim couple worked at the Australian branch of Saviour Hospital. Taehyung was one of the owners, practicing cardiac surgery and earning the respect of his colleagues. Sri worked as the matron. Being a doctor was no easy feat; it required years of study and dedication. She was grateful for whatever role she could manage, especially considering their circumstances.

Seokjin, unaware that Taehyung was living with the country's most wanted woman, had called him back to Korea several times. But Taehyung always refused, unwilling to leave. He was certain that if Sri returned, she would face public scorn—or worse, arrest. He knew well that her past as a mafia member was a criminal offense, but what could he do? He was deeply in love with her, and the thought of living without her was too painful.

Moreover, Sri was trying to forget everything, working hard to atone for her sins. They had a daughter to protect. He couldn't allow Taesoo to be dragged into that dark world. Her enemies might still be lurking, plotting against her, and he didn't want Taesoo's friends to think poorly of her. For the past six years, no one had bothered them, and Taehyung had hoped they could live the rest of their lives in peace—until the second season of Doctor x Gangster began.

Last night, Taehyung received an emergency call from his brother. One of the famous assemblymen had suffered a cardiac arrest and requested to be treated by him. He even offered a substantial sum to the hospital. Initially, Taehyung denied the request, as he always did, but he couldn't turn down the desperate plea from his 18-year-old daughter. Additionally, Saviour was facing some issues, and Seokjin needed help from his brother. As a result, Taehyung left his family and returned to Korea for about a month.

Sri didn't realize how quickly time had passed until it was already time to pick up Taesoo from school. She grabbed her purse and car keys, driving to the school.

The school bell rang, and students rushed out like a swarm of bees, filled with energy and laughter. Sri spotted her daughter skipping joyfully alongside a friend. Taesoo's face lit up with a bright, rectangular smile when she saw her mom—a smile she had inherited from her father. In contrast, her sharp eyes mirrored Sri's own. Strangely enough, when she was happy, Taesoo resembled Taehyung, but when she was upset, she depicted her mother, a perfect blend of both parents that made Sri's heart swell with pride.

Name: Kim Taesoo

Profession: Kindergarten student

Likes: Daddy and Mommie. Gifts, picnics and pranks.

Dislikes: Scary men, strict teachers and sometimes mommie.

Sri smiled faintly at her daughter. She admitted that she couldn't be the sweetest mother due to her past. Despite her efforts, she radiated a cold aura. But that didn't mean she loved her daughter any less. She was ready to lay down her life for Taesoo. After all, that's what a mother does.

"Good evening, Mrs. Kim," the female class teacher greeted her with a warm smile.

"Good evening," Sri replied politely, bowing her head slightly as she held Taesoo's wrist. The teacher then headed in another direction. Taesoo was busy whispering something in her friend's ear. Sri cleared her throat to gain attention. The kids looked up at her with wide, innocent eyes. "Let's go, Soo. Complete your secret tomorrow."

Taesoo understood that her mother's tone, while sounding a bit stern, was actually polite. She was accustomed to Sri's nature. In contrast, her friend wasn't familiar with Sri at all. The girl gulped at the elder's words, taking a step back from Taesoo.

Seeing the fear in her friend's eyes, Taesoo quickly said in English, "I will talk to you tomorrow, Mia. Bye!" Without further ado, the intelligent girl tugged her mother away from the scared child.

"Mommy, you scared her!" Taesoo whined after she settled into the passenger seat.

Sri bit her lip and sighed, "I'm sorry, dear. I'll try to be more polite next time."

"It's okay, Mommy. I know my mom is the best." she smiled at her, and Sri returned it, though the intensity of their smile were not the same.

Sri couldn't help but feel a pang of hurt at her daughter's words. It had been six years since she left her life as a mafia boss. Why couldn't she change? She thought that stopping the violence would be enough, but the struggle to alter her nature felt more challenging than she had anticipated. Her character spoke louder than her words, and somehow, people seemed to avoid her presence. This indifference was fine when she was the Titan boss, but now, living as a 'normal' person felt absurd.

Initially, she believed that people avoided her because she was Korean, but she later realized it was due to the unintended coldness she radiated. Not that she particularly wanted to be friends with them, but she wished they could at least maintain a decent relationship. The Australians were perfectly fine with Taehyung and Taesoo, but not with her. Even the neighbors had stopped visiting their house a while ago, offering only polite smiles to Taesoo when they passed each other on the road.

Sri felt her throat tighten at the thought of her child. Was she negatively affecting Taesoo's life? What if her friends stopped talking to her at school? What if she faced harassment? Worse, what if she found out about Sri's past? Taesoo was mature for her age; would she ever be able to forgive her mother?

"Mommy!!" Taesoo brought Sri back to reality, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "I want an ice cream!" The little girl had spotted an ice cream parlor along the road.

"We have a box in the fridge. Let's go home and have it, hmm?" Sri suggested, hoping to placate her daughter.

"NoOOO, I want it from that shop!" Taesoo insisted stubbornly.

"I'll buy you some from there after you finish what we have at home." If it had been Taehyung in her place, he might have taken a U-turn and driven back to the shop. He played an active role in spoiling their daughter.

"Mommy, please???" Taesoo's voice was pleading.

"Taesoo." Sri's tone dropped a few octaves, enough to silence her daughter. She felt a shiver of fear under her mother's intimidating gaze. She didn't want to get scolded; Sri could be frightening when angry.

The rest of the drive was silent, aside from the times Taesoo chatted with random strangers at traffic signals. Unlike Sri, Taesoo had been a social butterfly since childhood, effortlessly engaging with everyone around her.

Once Sri had parked the car in their complex, she and her daughter got out. "Are we going to have the ice cream now?" Taesoo asked timidly, her eyes wide.

Sri smiled at her mischievous daughter. "Yes, darling. You can have as much as you want." The promise earned her a melodious peal of laughter, revealing a few missing baby teeth, but the joy in her laughter was infectious.

Suddenly, Sri's gaze fell on something—or rather, someone—dressed in black attire, moving stealthily behind the huge pillars. Her heart raced as she furrowed her brows and instinctively pulled Taesoo behind her. "Who's there?!"

No one answered. An eerie silence enveloped the area, amplifying the sound of her own heartbeat. Sri was certain there was someone lurking nearby. She couldn't afford to take any risks with her daughter beside her. "I asked who—" Her words were abruptly interrupted by a loud roar of an engine, and a car sped away through the gate. Sri squinted through the haze, trying to catch a glimpse of the license plate, but the thick smoke made it nearly impossible, and the garage was shrouded in darkness.

"It might be our neighbor," Taesoo reasoned, though her voice trembled slightly. Sri's grip on her daughter's wrist was tight, and she could feel the little girl's pulse racing under her anxious hold. Sweat trickled down Sri's back as her instincts screamed that something was off.

Now what could possibly go wrong??
