Alice's Memories
Alice's POV
I screamed when I thought I saw something on the window, but when my parents rushed in, they told me that there was nothing there. There was really nothing on the window, yet I saw it. I saw a little doll with shiny golden hair and sky blue eyes that watched me every night.
I tried to tell my parents about it, but they didn't believe me. "Alice, if you are not really feeling well then do you want see a doctor?" mom was trying to comfort me and I felt a little bad because of bothering them this much. "If possible... I would like to be cured mother. I want to go." I walked towards my dad and waited for his approval, he nodded, "If you want to go, then it's fine by me. I'll make an appointment." He walked towards the phone and dialed someone's number. He talked for a while, then closed the phone and came back. "Luckily, I managed to get one for tomorrow. It's a bit late though."
"Isn't that good news for you Alice?" mom said while smiling. I nodded and smiled back at her then went to my room after saying goodnight. I layed on my bad, thinking about tomorrow. Even though I was the one to ask for it, I was a little scared. Well, who wouldn't be? It was a mental hospital full of psychological illnesses. Maybe not contagious, but still scary.
~~~~~Next Day~~~~~
It was already time for the appointment. My mom and dad held my hands tightly as we walked through the corridor filled with people. We were just on time so we didn't have to wait for the doctor. The doctor's office was slightly disturbing, considering that there were skulls with their brains sticking out and posters on the walls. "Mother, I'm scared..." I whispered to my mom as I held her hand tightly. She didn't say anything and just pat my head, trying to calm me down.
"Oh, is this our little patient?" the doctor said as he kneeled down to reach my height. I nodded quietly while observing his actions. He opened the door to another room and showed me in. My parents had to wait outside though. "I have to talk to her personally." the doctor whispered to my parents. We continued to the room and sat down. "Okay then, what's your name?" he asked. "Alice, sir.", "Nice to meet you Alice. So why did you come here? What type of problems do you have? Noises? Illusions?"
"No... it's that... a doll is watching me." I looked at the window behind his seat and saw the same doll, but didn't say anything. "A doll? What type of doll? Does she harm you?" he asked as he took notes. "No she doesn't. She is quite pretty actually. I saw her last night on my window, I screamed a little because it was dark, but I think I misunderstood her." I smiled as I kept talking about her. "Is that so...?" he murmured to himself. "Can you touch or feel her?" he asked turning a little serious. I didn't care though. I actually liked talking about her, "I never tried. I've been seeing her since I was 3. But she never harmed me. Instead she just watched me from afar."
"Hmmm, how nice. Now then, you can go outside and play with other children and can you tell your parents to come in while you are it?" he asked. "Yes, sir."
I walked out and told my parents to go in the room and went to pass some time in the other room.
