Chapter 10
July 3rd, 1960
7:00 am
"Jackie? There's a call for you on the phone, in the kitchen!"
"Who is it?"
"It's George."
"I'll be right down! Thanks mom." I yelled, perfecting my cat eye eyeliner before rushing out of the bathroom and down the stairs, into the kitchen.
"Hello? George?" I greeted, nearly breathless after my run down the stairs.
"Good morning princess! How do you feel about a trip to the beach today?"
"Mm, I don't know will it involve swimming?"
"Possibly..." he replied, mirth lacing his tone as I could practically envision his smartass little grin.
"So, basically what you're hinting at is that I'll need proper attire for taking a swim." I grinned, twisting the phone cord around my finger.
"Exactly...I'll come get you at around let's say, ten?"
"Perfect, I'll see you then!"
"Ok love." He replied before hanging up the phone.
"Are you going out later?" My mother asked, grabbing her purse and car keys.
"Yeah, George is gonna come get me and we're going to the beach."
"Do you need money for anything?"
"No, I've got some Mom." She nodded, before grabbing a stack of papers off the counter.
"Alright, have fun and be back before your father gets home at seven." She ordered, kissing my cheek.
"Yes ma'am! Have a good day at work."
She grinned, throwing me a wink. I ran back upstairs to put my swimsuit on under my clothes. Pulling out all my swimsuits and laying them on the bed, I decided on the lavender bikini, as purple was George's favorite color.
I threw on my clothes over the top of that, and decided to go make a piece of toast. As I was casually making my way back to the kitchen, I was stopped by knocking on the door.
"Who is it?" I yelled through the door, as the knocking ceased.
"It's me love!"
"George, why are you so early? You just made these plans over the phone not even thirty minutes ago." I explained, opening the door to let him inside.
"I know but I wanted to see you." He grinned walking past me and heading up the stairs, walking into my room.
"George, what're you doing?" I questioned, running after him, only to see him flop down onto my bed.
"C'mere, I want to tell you something." He motioned, as I remained motionless in the doorway.
"You can't tell me from here?"
"Jackie, come 'ere..." he whined childishly, patting the spot on the bed next to him.
"George, no..." I mocked his whiny tone, causing him to smirk.
"Fine, I'll come get you." He countered, standing up and walking over to me.
"C'mere, Jackie..." he whispered, towering over me, as he hoisted me up over his shoulder and started carrying me out of the room.
"George! Where the hell are we going?" I shrieked, as he made his descent down the stairs.
"Hush..." he growled playfully, gripping my waist tighter as he entered the kitchen and set me down on the counter.
"Now, yer going to make me some cookies..." he smirked, standing between my legs and snaking his arms around my waist.
"So, that's why you came over early! Not because you wanted to see me, but because your mom wouldn't bake you cookies." I giggled, cocking an eyebrow at him as he shook his head, eyes growing wide.
"No! I really did want to see you, cookies are just an added bonus." He smirked, gently pressing a kiss on my nose, causing my breath to hitch in my throat.
"A-alright, but your helping me make them. What kind do you want?"
"Snickerdoodles..." he grinned widely, fangs exposed to the world.
"Those are like Christmas cookies though..." I laughed, gently running a hand through his quiff, making him narrow his eyes at me.
"How fitting, because everyday I spend with you is like a giant Christmas gift." He stated, blushing slightly and looking down.
"You're a dork, go get the butter and sugar then..."
"Really? Yer gonna make 'em fer me?" He shouted excitedly, jerking his head back up and staring into my eyes.
"Yes, Georgie I'll make you a special treat for a special boy." I teased, sticking my tongue out at him.
"Thank you, Jackie!" He exclaimed, kissing my cheek before running off to get the necessary ingredients.
"What do we do first?" He inquired, after we had gotten everything we needed out.
"Well, first you'll need to preheat the oven to 375." I nodded in the direction of the oven, as he stared at me in a state of confusion.
"I don't know how..."
"George you're kidding? You've watched your mom bake things for years, I know you have because I've been over at your house when you're moping around the kitchen." I giggled, as he blushed embarrassed.
"That doesn't mean I was paying attention to what she was doing."
I sighed, "come here then, hm?"
He nodded, following me to the oven, "ok see this button that says bake?"
"Yeah...."
"Poke it with your finger, and then use this one until the little screen reads 375."
"Ok, now do we get to bake?"
"Good boy! Yes, now put the butter into the mixer with the sugar and cream it together." I ordered, as I lined each cookie sheet with parchment paper to keep the cookies from sticking.
"What's that?"
"George...you really are hopeless, you better find a good girl to take care of you."
"I'm looking at her..." he mumbled shyly, his cheeks becoming slightly red.
"Ok, bring the egg and vanilla over."
"'Ere" he held them out, grinning widely as he watched me.
"Ok, crack the egg on the counter and put it into the mixing bowl." I instructed, watching as he raised the egg up and brought it down onto the counter a bit too hard.
"Damnit, I can't do it..."
"Sure you can! I'll help you this time ok?"
I cleaned up the mess, as George went and got another egg from the fridge.
"Ok here, hold it in your hand..." he did as I said and I gently placed my smaller hand over his much larger one, causing butterflies to explode in my stomach, and making both our cheeks slightly redden.
"Now, we're gonna be very gentle and just tap on the side of the counter." I carefully picked his hand up and carefully guided him to tap the egg.
"Good, now hold it over the bowl, and open the shell the rest of the way." He nodded, and carefully split the eggshell into two pieces and dumped the contents of the egg into the bowl.
"Look! I did it!" He yelled childishly, as he smiled and gave me a hug.
"Good job..." I laughed at his amusement.
"Now, put the vanilla extract in..." I said, throwing the eggshell away.
"How much?"
"Just two teaspoons."
He nodded, his brows knit together in concentration as he measured out the correct amount of vanilla.
"What?" He smirked, as he looked over at me.
"Nothing, you just looked cute..." I chuckled, casting my eyes down to my feet.
"Mm, Jackie thinks 'm cute?" He teased walking back over towards me, putting his arms on either side of me, pinning me between him and the counter.
"Well..." he whispered, pausing for dramatic affect, "tell Jackie, I think she's absolutely gorgeous."
I blushed, as he moved his mouth away from my ear, peering down at me.
"Georgie, lets just finish your cookies, ok?"
He nodded, kissing the side of my head and wrapping an arm around me as we walked back over to the mixer to finish the cookie dough.
"Ok, use this cookie dough scoop to get little balls of the dough and then roll it in the cinnamon and the sugar."
"Alright..." he replied, dipping his hand into the bowl and grabbing some of the raw dough, popping it into his mouth.
"Georgie, no! You'll get salmonella..." I whined, grabbing his hand.
"You can play nurse if I get sick yeah?" He chuckled, flashing a cheeky smirk.
"No, your mom can do that..." I shot back, grinning back at him as we scooped out balls of dough, rolling them in the sugar mixture and setting them on the cookie sheet, before popping them into the oven.
"Are they almost done?" He questioned, sitting down on the floor and peering in the oven window.
"No, we just put them in, they have to stay in there for eleven minutes remember?"
He looked up at me grinning, before licking his lips and peering back into the oven like a little boy.
"They smell divine..."
I laughed squatting down next to him to watch them baking.
"You better eat all of these, baking them heated up my house and my parents are gonna kill me."
"I will, we'll take 'em to the beach with us."
"Is it just us going?"
"No, John is gonna pick us up and we'll meet Paul down there."
"I've got to be back home a bit before seven."
"Maybe I'll call mum and see if I can't borrow 'er car then...No! I'll call Harry and see if I can borrow 'is motorcycle."
"George, I don't know about that...."
"It'll be better that way, then we don't have to hang around with the others all day and we can do whatever we want." He explained, getting up from his spot on the floor and walking over to the phone to call John, and his brother Harry.
I sighed as the timer went off, and pulled an oven mitt on in order to pull the cookies out. "Ok, it's all set up!" George cheered, grabbing a piping hot cookie off the tray.
"George don't touch-"
"Shit! Those are hot!" He yelled, throwing the cookie halfway across the room.
"No, shit Sherlock they just came out of the oven!" I snickered, grabbing his wrist and pulling him over to the sink, shoving his hand under the cold water coming out of the faucet.
"Jackie? Kiss it and make it better..." he pleaded, gazing at me with his warm brown eyes making me melt internally.
"George, I can't even see it anymore." I laughed, gently drying his hand off with a towel.
"It's right 'ere...please it really hurts." He tittered, holding his hand back up to my face.
"Alright..." I muttered, blushing as I gently placed a kiss on his palm.
"The fingers too..." George smirked, watching me intently as my lips left a trail of soft kisses from his palm to each of his calloused fingers and back down to where I started.
"Is that better?" I mumbled, blushing like mad.
"Much better..." he breathed, pulling me closer to him and planting kisses from my temple to my jaw causing me to shiver.
"Are you cold?" He whispered, leaning his forehead against mine, looking down with his chocolate brown orbs, that glistened at me with adoration.
"N-not at all...in f-fact I'm quite the opposite..." I muttered nervously, as his warm breath mingled with mine.
"Mm, fab..." he whispered, leaning closer to me before I got too nervous and backed away.
"What's wrong princess?"
"I-I've got to pick up that cookie you threw across the room, y'know before I forget." I stuttered nervously avoiding his gaze, and rushing over to pick up the cookie and throw it away.
"Oh...well these taste great!" George mumbled, shoving a cookie into his mouth and vigorously chewing it before grabbing two more and doing the same.
"Slow down there cowboy! You're gonna make yourself sick." I warned, getting a container to place the others in.
"Wait, I want one more! Just one more please?"
"Here..." I laughed, handing him another cookie before I snapped the lid down onto the container.
"Let's head out then?" George asked, swallowing the remainder of his cookie. I nodded, grabbing onto his arm causing him to smile and wrap it around me, as he grabbed the box of cookies with his other hand and we headed for the door.

9:34 am
"Hello, George..." Harry greeted, pulling his brother in for a hug.
"Jackie, you look lovely as always..." he winked, as George grabbed my hand pulling me into the house with him.
"So, you two want the bike?"
George nodded excitedly, earning a laugh from both Harry and I, as he led us out into his garage.
"Here we are!" Harry exclaimed, as George walked around the bike grinning.
"Sit down on it, see if it's comfortable..."
I watched, smirking as George jumped onto the bike like an excited child on Christmas morning. He looked even cuter sitting on the bike, if that was even possible.
"Can you reach the ground with the kickstand up?" Harry asked, as George put the kickstand up with his heel and placed both his feet on the ground.
"Good, good, and you know about the gas and the brake?"
"Yes, sir!" George smiled, looking over at me and shooting me a wink.
"Alright, have it back by let's see...6:45? That should be more than enough time to get there and back."
"It's a plan! C'mere Jackie, climb on." He ordered, as I walked over and swung my leg over the seat, gripping on to George tightly making him sit up straighter and puff his chest out.
"I can see you're already enjoying this..." Harry quipped, playfully narrowing his eyes at George, before handing me a helmet and then passing one to George.
"Sod off, you bloody wanker!" George laughed, mirth lacing his tone of voice.
"Alright, you guys have fun aye?"
"Thank you, Harry!" I yelled gripping onto George and his box of cookies, as he zipped out of the driveway.
"God, the wind feels great!" George yelled over the purr of the engine and the air whipping around us.
"Totally!" I smiled, as he revved the engine more.
"Faster?"
"Sure! But don't get us killed alright."
"You want to try and drive it? I'll help you."
"Will I make us late?"
"No, 'm not gonna 'ave you drive us all the way down there."
"Alright..."
"That's me girl!" He laughed, slowing down and pulling over on the side of the road.
"Ok, Jackie..." he paused taking his helmet off and looking around, before smiling down at me. "This part of the road is never too busy, so there should be little to no traffic."
I nodded as he pushed my bum moving me to the front of the seat as he climbed on behind me.
"Ok, the right side is the gas..." he whispered placing my right hand on that portion of the handlebar.
"And the left side is the clutch, and those silver looking things up there in front of the handlebar are brakes. Now just like driving a car you don't want to just romp down on anything. So, just do it lightly ok?"
"Ok George...."
"Now, this red thing over 'ere on the right is the ignition kill switch, so put the key in and turn it and then flip the red switch and press the start switch."
"This is a lot George, I don't know if I can do it..." I spoke loudly, as he leaned over my shoulder giving me a reassuring smile.
"Yer doing great! You look pretty cute up there too..." he whispered placing his hands onto my hips, causing me to tense up.
"Over 'ere on the left are the headlights, you've got high and low beams. This switch down 'ere is the blinker, and then below that is the horn." I nodded, looking intently at what he pointed out.
"See this pedal over 'ere on the left?"
"Yeah"
"This is a shift pedal, so because we're in neutral give it one click down to go to first gear."
"This over 'ere on the right is the rear brake pedal, which you shouldn't 'ave to use unless there's an emergency."
"Ok, Georgie." I smiled, as he moved one arm around my waist and gave me a squeeze.
"Ok! Very carefully give it some gas and pick yer feet up off the ground." He ordered, following his instructions I slowly pulled off the side of the road, and putted down it.
"Yer doing great! Just give it a bit more gas and straighten it out." He yelled over the noise, giving my right hip a gentle squeeze before placing his hand on top of mine to help me.
"Look at you!" He exclaimed, watching delightedly as I took us down the rode.
"More gas, if you slow down to much it's gonna get wobbly, my sweet." He yelled, causing me to nod and do as he said.
"'aving any fun?" He grinned, resting his chin on my shoulder.
"Yeah!" I exclaimed, causing him to chuckle, as I sped down the rode a bit farther, whipping around the corners.
"You ready to switch?"
"Yeah, my hand is tired." I yelled back,
"Ok, be very gentle when you brake though because the bike'll flip if yer not."
"Alright..." I replied, my nerves acting up a bit as I squeezed the brake handles as carefully as I possibly could.
"Jackie, you did great!"
"You think so?"
"I know so..." he smirked, kissing my cheek before hopping on the seat in front of me.
"Hold on to me, lovey..." he shouted, grabbing my arms and pulling them around his torso.
"I will." I giggled, wrapping my arms around him tighter and resting my head on his shoulder.

11:03 am
"Let's go track down the others."
"George, does my hair look ok? I've had that helmet on and stuff."
"You look beautiful, as always." He smiled, lacing his fingers with mine as we walked down the sidewalk to the beach.
"What if we don't find them?"
"Unfortunately we aren't that lucky." He joked, as we stepped onto the sand.
I laughed, as we walked down the beach in a comfortable silence watching the waves roll in and crash over the shore.
"It's really hot today..."
I nodded, looking around for the other guys.
"George, I don't see them- wait there's Paul!" I shouted, tugging him by his hand in the direction of Paul.
"Jackie, wanna just skip out? It's not too late they haven't seen us."
"That would be mean though..."
He sighed, "alright let's go."
I tittered, standing up on my tiptoes to give him a kiss on the cheek, making him blush.
"Little tease..." he mumbled playfully, wrapping his arm around me as we walked over to meet the others.
