Both of them stopped in their place and slowly looked towards the door with guilty faces. 'When did the students get there?' they thought remembering how much cursing they were doing.

"I'm going to ask one more time, what the fuck is going on here?" Erwin asked losing the last bit of his patient, he wasn't mad but he would like to know what the teachers were losing their minds over. 

"I never heard Mr. smith curse like that before," Thomas leaned over and whispered to TJ. The statement happened to catch Erwin's ear and he turned around.

"Sorry for using unprofessional language, but these idiots only listen when I yell profanities," he said patting the two young kids on the head before turning back around awaiting an answer.

"She started talking about me and Eren in inappropriate ways," Levi said pointing a finger at Hanji. "She was talking about how she would like to walk in on-," Erwin quickly covered Thomas's ears as Eren covered TJ's. "Us having sex," Levi said before realizing the two kids were there but he was glad when he realized they couldn't hear him.

"Hanji," Erwin sighed and rolled his eyes, "I told you to keep your weird fetishes to yourself," he said disappointedly. "You guys can settle this later," Erwin said looking at the two kids to get his point across to them. He then released his hands from the kid's ears, and Eren followed his lead.

Both of them blinked and looked at each other, they might not have heard exactly what was said, but they could pretty much fill in the blanks of what they were saying. They weren't sure whether to laugh or to hold it in instead of drawing attention to themselves. 

Hanji and Levi got over it pretty quickly and within minutes were discussing something they heard over the news. The kids looked back and forth at them and then back to each other, "What an odd friendship they have," Thomas said with a laugh as TJ nodded quickly.

"You both are still coming over tonight, right?" Hanji asked looking between her two boys.

"Sure why not," Levi said with a shrug.

"I'll be there," Eren said with a smile.

"Good, let me know before you come over, I'll pick up scouts," She said with a grin.

"How was your night?" Thomas said trying to make conversation as the two sat there listening to the teacher's conversation.

"Huh," TJ asked thrown off by the question, "Oh, it was alright," he mumbled remembering his mother yelling about how long his hair was getting and how people were going to start thinking he's a girl. "Anyways how did your night go?"

"It went, well," Thomas said with a blank and empty face to match the empty lie. His home life wasn't the best, his parents were almost never home, and when they were all they did was yell and fight.

They both stared at each other silently acknowledging each other's blatant lies and with a nod the decided to change the subject.

"So where's your sister?" Thomas asked drifting to a different topic.

"My mom usually takes her to school since she likes to sleep in a little longer," TJ said as he started to mess with a strand of his hair that came untucked from under the hood of his jacket.

"Did you take the bus?" Thomas asked as he watched his friend's normal nervous habits take hold. He had realized that just like people shake their leg when they sit out of habit, TJ always messed with his hair a little.

"No, I walked," he said with a shrug.

"Oh okay," Thomas said not wanting to cross his boundary with what he actually wanted to say. 'Isn't it dangerous to walk alone?' Is what he kept thinking, 'I mean we don't exactly live right around the corner, and the streets aren't the safest,' Thomas rambled on in his head but kept his mouth closed. 'Maybe I'm just being a little too overprotective,' he thought shrugging it off.

"What?" TJ asked as he stopped playing with his hair and dropped his hand.

Thomas must have made a face when he was thinking, 'oops busted,' He thought. "Uh, sorry, I was just thinking about something," Thomas said with an awkward smile.

"Oh, I thought you were giving me a weird look for playing with my hair," TJ said a little more self-conscience about touching his hair again.

"No of course not, it was cute when you did that," Thomas smiled at him before realizing what he said and his face going red. "Um, I-I..." Thomas's voice drifted off as he tried to find a way to come back after that comment. He looked around at the teachers who had now gone silent and turned after hearing what he said. Thomas felt his heart speed up and he looked down putting his head in his hands. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry I'm sorry," he repeated quickly to try and make the situation less awkward.

"You think it's cute?" TJ asked shyly in shock of what he just heard. He looked to see Thomas apologizing and giggled.

Thomas looked up to see what he was laughing at, "now you're the one being cute," TJ said laughing a little at the others red cheeks as his own had a splash of red across them.

"You're not mad?" Thomas asked slowly removing his hands from his face.

"Mad why would I be mad?" TJ asked with a big smile.

"Because," Thomas paused for a moment thinking, "that's how they reacted," he whispered remembering a few years back when he told his parents he had a crush on a boy in his elementary school class. Needless to say, they didn't take it too well.

"I'm sorry," TJ said setting his hand over Thomas's, "whoever you're talking about, they are jerks. You are allowed to like whoever you want," TJ said with a sympathetic smile, he knew all too well how much it hurt to not be accepted by those you trust.

Thomas's eyes met with TJ's and he smiled and nodded. "Well if it's alright with you, um, I like you." Thomas said stuttering a little.

TJ froze for a minute not sure what to do next. He froze, but when he saw Thomas look down expecting to be rejected he smile a little. He leaned over and kissed him on the cheek. "I'm okay with it only if you're okay with me liking you."

Thomas smiled and stuttered asking his next question, "would it be okay if we, um would you, can we, um-" He was cut off by TJ who decided to ask for him.

"Thomas would you be my boyfriend?" He asked as blush exploded across his face.

Thomas nodded with a big smile and hugged TJ which he gladly hugged him back.

"You guys are so cute!" Hanji squealed.

"Hey, shit head don't ruin the moment," Levi said nudging her shoulder.

He looked over at Eren who was smiling at the adorable two who reminded him of how him and Levi first stated dating. Levi smiled and reached for Eren's hand sharing the same memory.
