Three Knocks

Eren woke up sitting up in the bed. His hips sore from their late night activities. He stretched his back out to try and lessen the strain that was on it. He looked around the room a little disoriented from sleep. He wiped at his eyes and found tears and he started to remember his dream or more so memory.

Eren was used to waking up crying for a variety of reason's, but usually, when he woke up crying from a memory they were horrifying, but this one was peaceful. His dad and he were talking but something was different about the memory his dad said something that didn't fit with what Eren remember happening that day.

It was the last day Eren saw his dad he had just said goodbye and that he would be back soon, but instead of his dad saying what he did that day the words changed.

"Eren," he started stopping Eren at the door, "I'm sad to say this is the last time you'll see me, but never forget what I told you, never forget that I actually do love you. Go on and live a long and happy life," he said before Eren had woke up.

Eren smiled to himself, "Thanks, dad," he whispered knowing that wasn't his mind coming up with those words. He wiped at his tears until they were gone and waited for the redness in his eyes to vanish before sliding off the bed to go and get ready for the day ahead of him. He could tell Levi was already downstairs by the delicious smell of breakfast cooking.

After getting ready he came down the stairs to see the twins sitting on the couch watching TV. 'How late did I sleep?' he asked himself mentally since usually, Alex was the last one up.

He checked the time and saw it was only eleven. "You're up before noon?" he asked her.

"Surprising right?" She laughed, "It's because someone left his ringer on this morning," she said casting an accusing eye over towards her brother.

"I've already apologized like 7 times already what more do you want," he huffed, "anyways you could have gone back to bed," he sighed.

"Yeah, but I was already wide awake," she shrugged.

Eren proceeded forward walking into the kitchen to see Levi almost done with breakfast.

"Morning babe," He said turning his head to the side as Eren approached to give him a good morning kiss. "How'd you sleep?" Levi asked.

"I slept good, I had a great dream," Eren said with a smile.

"I'm glad to hear," Levi smiled. When he had woken up this morning he saw Eren was crying in his sleep, he was about to wake him up, but he heard him mumbled something that made him stop and leave him to his dream. Eren had said dad and Levi knew to leave him be, that those tears weren't the tears of pain from a nightmare, but joy and sadness from a dream.

Levi finished cooking breakfast and everyone sat down to eat before they got ready for the day. They set up the house for guests. Levi and Eren were pulling out a few of the wedding planners that just had to be looked over one more time just to be sure, and they also got a few notepads so Erwin and Jean could plan out the bachelor parties, even though Eren and Levi had said they really didn't need them.

They were sure Jean and Erwin already had a plan for the bachelor party with all the secrecy between the two, they couldn't tell if Hanji was in on it or not because she was secretive with a lot of things lately, but with whatever these secrets were she seemed excited.

Levi just assumed she had got a boyfriend or something, then again Hanji might scare away any potential boyfriends. Eren, on the other hand, knew that one of the secrets she was keeping was the surprise Eren had planned.

The three were supposedly coming around noon, but then again these people weren't exactly great at time management. At noon the there was a light knock on the door and they knew it wasn't Hanji. Eren opened the door and gave Jean a smiled.

"Long time no see," Jean joked.

"Yeah a whole few hours," Eren chuckled, "feels like an eternity went by," he said sarcastically.

Eren let him in and they went to sit on the couch next to the kids as a movie played in the background. Eren and Jean started to talk as they waited for Erwin and Hanji. Levi had stayed at the table organizing everything so it would be easier to know where everything was.

Eren looked over his shoulder and saw that Levi was out of earshot and leaned in and whispered to Jean telling him about the surprise he had planned. When Eren finished Jean had a grin going ear to ear.

"That's so fucking cheesy," he said, but Eren knew that meant that it was a cute idea.

A few moments later the second knock on the door came, this one was more obnoxious. "Hanji's here," Eren said to Jean as TJ had gotten up to open the door for her.

"TJ!" she said excitedly, "I haven't seen you in forever," she said ecstatically as she gave him a tight hug.

"It's only been four days," he laughed.

"Which is forever," she said over exaggerated before giving Alex a big hug too.

When her eyes landed on Jean he felt the strange urge to run. They locked in on him and she ran towards him. "Eren help," Jean whispered before Hanji was on him.

She threw her arms around him giving him a bear hug, "I haven't seen you in ages," she said squeezing him tightly.

"It's only been a week," he said with difficulty breathing. Hanji never did know her own strength especially when it came to hugs.

"Oi, shitty glasses, don't suffocate Jean we need him alive," Levi said rolling his eyes.

Hanji released Jean with a gleeful apology, which after accepting it he went over to standby Levi for protection. Levi and Jean struck up a conversation and Eren looked around seeing that everyone was busy.

"Hanji," Eren whispered getting her to lean in a little.

"Yeah?" she whispered back wondering what he was going to tell her.

"Thanks for our engagement gift," Eren smiled with bright red cheeks.

"Ha, I knew you would like them," she whispered in triumph. "So?" she asked wanting a little more of the juicy details

"They were amazing," Eren mumbled.

"What did you use?" She asked.

"Well," Eren said with a smiled and proceeded to tell her the items they used. Over the years Hanji and him had gotten a lot more comfortable with everything and Eren could tell her anything, and everything. "But as usual-," Eren been saying.

"Yeah, I know, don't tell Levi I know," she smiled and shrugged. "Damn and I really wanted to give him hell. Oh well, I'll just have to find another reason to do so," she laughed.

The third knock on the door came and they let Erwin in. He apologized for being late he hadn't noticed the time.
